Keenan's on a power trip and is really a jerk.He only passes everyone, acts like he cares, and buys you pizza so you'll give him good ratings on the teacher evaluation, so he can eventually get tenure. Sure, he's cool and class is fun, but he's PHONY.

Keenan was a great teacher. If I hadn't taken this class with him I would have completely failed it. He is energetic and keeps you on point. And he is Hilarious - cracks jokes all the time. Really down to earth! Made me feel like a genius in math

Professor Keenan is the best professor I have ever taken. He gives easy quizes every day, but they will help you. He turns stats into an interesting topic by relating the subject to us. I am terrible at math and I actually got an A. Just dont miss class, he hates that.

I took this class over the summer. I really thought that it would be horrible but this was a good summer class at 9 am. Dr. Keenan was very funny in his lectures and kept the calss invovled. gave easy tests as long as u came to class. The lecture notes will help out alot. One of the BEST at MSU!

I had Keenan for Physio, Quant. Methods, and Experimental. His personality can be taken the wrong way by some people but he was my fav. professor at MSU.

awesome awesome guy, definitely take him! easy A. class is funny & interesting. the 4 hour class definitely flew by in the pre-session, it didn't even phase me. tells tons of personal stories that are actually really funny and actually prove whatever point he's trying to make in his lecture.

Great professor...really knows his stuff. He can be tough but he goes take time to give you help, one on one.

He's sort of hot. He talks fast sometimes and tends to mumble under his breath while reading his notes. You must write really fast to catch everything on his slides. He won't give you his notes so go to class everyday! DO THE MOBILE!!!

Had Keenan for a couple of classes, and honestly he is a great professor. The guy is very intelliegent, and had a great sense of humor. Really great professor. I fear the thought of taking a math class but he really makes sure you understand what you are learning. He gives a quiz every class almost but this just helps you keep on top of the work, like the comment below you really can't go wrong here.

Keenan is probably the greatest professor i have had. Hes not only extremely smart but very funny. His classes are speedy so better pay attention and go to them, but he makes you want to go.

Great professor! He really goes through the material and explains everything. He calls on students randomly a lot, but it's good because it helps you learn the material. He is really funny. (Ask him to do his rap called Benchwarmer.) He gives a little quiz every class which helps a lot. Take this class with him and I PROMISE you will not regret it.

Keenan is the f*ckin man. If you are easily offended, stay away. He's hilarious, but has a rather harsh sense of humor that probably not too many people are ok with. He's a brilliant man who know's his sh*t. If you can take a joke or two, def take him for Quant. You'll want to go to class, and you'll learn everything you need to know.

Funniest professor ever! Prefered him to Dr Joke Bradt! His part of the lectures were always easy to follow and really helped you understand the readings more. Tests were multiple choice and labs were too easy to be true. (not bad to look at either)(summer session)

I thought that he graded easier thean Dr. Bradt, but he was by far more annoying. He tells the absolute lamest jokes in the world. He thinks he is funny, but he is not. You have to do a few lab assignmments, 5 exams (1 is dropped), a paper, and a presentation. It is a very easy class.

Take him any chance you get. Physio is still a tough class, but with him you learn and enjoy it! As for Evo, really a great class- should be required (with Keenan only of course) of every psyc major. Roll model professor, interested in his subjects and in his students doing well (extra credit). Fair with grades, great guy! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

Class is too hard. He thinks he is teaching grad students. He is too cocky at times and his test are tricky and hard! His extra credits are like term papers for grad school. I do not think this class is worth it.

zHis tests are easy T/F and a couple of essays. If you manage to take good notes then that's all you need to get good grades on his tests. He gives opportunity for extra credit but they are at least 8 pages, so score high on the tests so you won't have to rely on the extra credit.

VERY EASY CLASS!! Test are a joke and the class is SO easy def take this for an easy A. No book, No attendance, and No papers! 4 easy tests and thats it! He's so easy going.

Initially took this class b/c I was interested in the topic. Keenan was very knowledgeable on the subject, but rambled on a bit too much. Exams were really easy, T/F and essay. Gave lots of E/C. I liked the class itself, but wasn't a fan of the prof. His cockiness was very disheartening and it felt as though he constantly belittled the class.

Great teacher. No book for this class. Must take notes when he puts them on board because he does not believe in blackboard. Overall easy class. I got an A. Test are all multiple choice with one or two essays. Take Evolutionary Psych with Keenan.

Phisio was a hard class. The test consist of 100 multiple choice questions and 5 essays. Professor Keenan is very helpful and funny. He also gives extra credit which will help you in the end. DO THE EXTRA CREDIT. I got a B in this class. Reading is a must!

I had him for bio 112, his class was great b/c he's also a psychologist he makes the class very interesting b/c he incorporates them both so not only is it clear but you further understand why things happen the way they do he's very funny and interesting i def learned a lot. he's not boring take his class ne class that he teaches its worth it.

Dr Keenan is a fantastic professor! Taking him for Honors Contemporary Issues I. I thought this class was going to be so difficult but so far I've gotten a 95 on the midterm and a 100 on the first draft of the paper. Show up to class, work hard, take notes and you'll be fine! I highly recommend taking a course with Dr. Keenan.

Evolution is the best class I have ever taken I would recommend it to anybody at any time. It was so awesome I learned more than I could have ever imagined. He is a little unclear about his expectations and his tests aren't really relatable but he gives extra credits so you can do well.

I was blessed to be assigned Dr. Keenan in my first semester. He is enthusiastic about biology and engages the class to think and not just spout out rote answers. There are lots of opportunities to bump your grade up if you apply yourself. Expect a quiz every day. Work hard and you'll do well.

Keenan was an awesome Bio prof! His quizzes are super easy and basically easy points. He's really passionate about the subject and is really funny character as well. Best bio prof. I had so far.

Yes the class is hard but its a 300 level, deal with it. If you read and take good notes you will be fine. The tests are almost all from the book except the essays which are from lecture. Drops the lowest test and quiz grade and gives extra credit. If you do poorly you only have yourself to blame. Study the book a lot and you will do well.

This class was the hardest, yet most rewarding of my college career. Keenan is genuine, passionate, funny and brings out the best in those around him if you are up to the challenge. His intelligence coupled with his bill murray type look/humor-very attractive! Take him! You will be a better student and person for it!

Take him! He is the only bio professor at MSU that you'll pass with an A. All his quizzes are true and false even the final.After taking a quiz he goes over the answers. WRITE THEM DOWN. All the quiz questions are on the midterm. The final WAS BASICALLY THE MIDETERM QUESTIONS with two open ended added in. Take him you wont regret it!!!!

This was my first Biology class at MSU! I must say he has to be one of the best biology professors to ever teach! he teaches in a fun way and makes you understand the material without reading straight from the book! Deff recommend anyone to take him! great professor !

Took Bio2 this summer for the 4 week session. Super easy class with not many quizzes or assignments. Trips we went on were fun. Barely opened the textbook. I highly recommend taking him for an easy grade, but perhaps not if you need the info for your future career (e.g. conservation biology, ecology, etc.) Never took attendance.

I took him for a summer course. Easiest course that I probably will every take in my lifetime. I wouldn't recommend taking him though if you actually need this course like for ecology or environmental based science majors. You learn absolutely nothing. Quizzes are sooooo easy and the midterm and final were on a topic of your choosing.

The material seems daunting at first but if you go to the lectures and study hard it seems straightforward. Attendance was not mandatory but if you don't go to his lectures you will struggle through the whole semester.

Had him for an honors course broken up between three profs. He was the absolute favorite, clear, easy, explains everything. Do the labs and you are all but guaranteed a pass. Very funny, strange views on "science", would absolutely take again.

Time flies by when you are in his class, but make sure that you are engaged. He's big on that. Not too much work required in this class overall, but you will learn, a lot.

He is hilarious and the lectures don't get boring. BUT you have to read the textbook in order to pass his exams and he can bring up detailed questions. He is humble and always there to help.

You have to work for the grade. READ the book! Although attendance is not mandatory its really useful to go b/c he sometimes asks REALLY specific questions that have to do with the class discussion rather than the book material. In this case getting notes from a friend doesn't really help. Not much work outside of class just really hard studying.

i love him. He makes the class very interesting. He does not give too much Homework, he likes true or false exams, he is welcoming during office hours, for my class grading was based on 2 quizzes, 3 exams, and 1 ten page paper. I would take him again.

Keenan is by far one of the best in the departments. Graded on 3 exams, midterm + final, along with a lab paper. If you think you can get an A by not reading the book or studying, do NOT take him. He rewards students who care about the class, and is not afraid to fail those who do not (routinely gave out F's). Read, pay attention and do extra cred.

Dr Keenan is by far my favorite professor I've had. He is so excited about the subject and that really sparks the interest of his students. He is so easy to talk to and he really cares about his students and their success. If you have a chance to take him for ANY course do it!

First time having a course with Dr. Keenan. I was honestly a little hesitant as I saw mixed reviews and heard mixed things but I'm so happy I took this course. Not only is it an interesting class but he makes lectures very fun and engaging. Class was 3 exams and a paper, nothing too difficult. Highly recommend if you want a fun, intellectual prof:)

MR. KEENAN IS SO FUNNY! I enjoyed this class so much. Be aware it is insanely difficult, however. We only had 2 people pass the course, the rest WD or failed out like myself. You will be confused half the time even with his directions so just pay attention during lecture. You will work hard for every grade. A bit arrogant but mostly passionate. He has the best intentions for his students.. probably one of the better professors you will EVER come across.

Discussion every week. You work on building a research paper with smaller papers in between. Doesn't grade easily, and provides little feedback. Doesn't hand out 100s often. You learn a lot, and he's very kind and knows his stuff. Took forever to grade things. Overall you can tell he cares. Easy enough class if you try!

Honestly learned so much in Prof. Keenan's BIOL320 class. He was really nice and witty and such a great lecturer, made class super engaging and interesting. Graded on only 5 things, had 2 exams, the midterm and final which he let us know the questions that could possibly be on the exam. Overall great Professor would 100% recommend.
