Great techer, although she can be confusing sometimes. If she says someting you don't understand, she's more than happy to help you. Class in engaging and fun, although the material is hard and projects are complicated. Warning: You will have alot of groupwork in this class, try to join with a friend if possible.
Take this class! She is the best. Funny too.
Not a good econ teacher
Dr. Treme is such a good teacher. She gives great examples and is more focused on you learning the material than just grades. She is super nice and class was fun. She has really good style too. Take this class. I want to major in it now.
My favorite professor so far! She gives you everything you need to succeed and is very helpful in and outside of class. A really good class. I actually tutor my friends in other econ sections!
Best you can do with this subject.
really nice and understanding.
Very cool class. She is fun and laid-back. Class is interactive and I never fell asleep even though it was at 8:30.
Really a unique teacher. She cares about her students and how much they learn. Best teacher I have had at State.
Really like her. She goes out of her way to present the material so that students see the point of learning it. Rarely boring and always made me laugh.
The main issue I had with Dr. Treme is how she taught the class. She would assign long readings between the class period and during class time she would only go over a few key details or examples as determined by herself. It made it really difficult to follow along with the information.
Sweet funny really good teacher.
Direct and fair.
Really Good Teacher. If you attend class and study, you'll get an A or B easily.
Took this class online. I really enjoyed it. The articles are really interesting and I learned a lot. Four exams.
Took this online and it was really easy. Her lectures were pretty short and gave a lot of useful info.
DO NOT TAKE ONLINE. Please! read! the ! syllabus!!!! I took this class online and did not realize the final was 53% of the course total. That is insane. The class itself was easy, mostly busywork. But I had an A which turned into a C+ after the final. Do not take online if possible!
Took this online. Really organized and you can work ahead when you know you will be out of town. Very receptive to emails. Exams were straight forward. Lots of current events.
Dr. Treme is a very kind and understanding professor. The course is hard so you will have to study lots for the exams but she helps. For the Final exam, we were allowed one page of notes which helped a lot. She truly wants everyone to succeed. I loved attending her classes even though she did not count attendance.
Dr. Treme is a very nice person, I just did not personally enjoy taking this course online. It was sometimes difficult knowing when things were due and there was often discrepancies in the gradebook which made it hard to know what your grade was throughout the semester. There is a lot of reading, so be prepared.
Only 3 exams which are 60% of your entire grade. Make sure to use your notes cause she lets us use 2 pages front and back. Weekly quizzes and discussion posts that are time-consuming but save your grade! Definitely worked hard but she cares about us when we reached out to her for help and were lenient on some things. Challenged me but enjoyed it!
Dr. Treme knows her stuff and her passion shines through, inspiring everyone else. Lots of little grades, but if you miss a quiz email her and she'll likely let you take it. The exams are non-cumulative (even the final) and you get a sheet of notes. Very interactive, but she's clearly used to teaching online classes-most work is done outside class.
Dr. Treme is very understanding of her students' problems and tries her best to replicate in-person experiences like debates on Zoom. As the class is small and discussion-based, participation really matters and there are many group "projects" like debates and the alternative final. Her exams are easy and not always in a traditional essay format.
This class is mostly reading and discussion about ag policy, but Dr. Treme makes it interesting by adding debates and fun projects, as well as relating ag to current events. Her exams are easy, and the final can be taken as a written test or a group project. If you put in the work and pay attention in class, this should be an easy A.
i just did not enjoy this class material & i was doing perfectly fine in the class then the final dropped my grade 20 points! a lot of people i talked to this happened to as well. not the teachers fault i don't think it's just the class online was annoying & tough
This was by far the best class I have taken online. Very organized and thorough. She is incredibly responsive to emails/concerns and genuinely cares about students. I really enjoyed the current events and I highly recommend attending Zoom sessions. It's almost like being in person.
You'll have quizzes each unit, a midterm, and the final. Dr. Treme has amazing lectures, and in order to do well, I would always attend or watch the zoom recordings. There was a bit of reading, but it helped the real-world application and helped you do better on the exams. I enjoyed the class.
I really enjoyed this class, even online. The zooms were actually worth going to and Dr. Treme is a very knowledgeable and friendly professor. Zooms are optional and there are multiple tries on quizzes, open note exams. Course content is interesting and Dr. Treme ties in current events. One of the least dreadful online class experiences I have had.
Dr. Treme was Great, however, I wish she didn't assign so much group work. It only takes one idiot in the group to get a bad grade. Also, make sure you do your part on her final because it will be your team who grades your participation. Honestly, I would have preferred a final exam. Her class is not for people who prefer to work alone.
This was class was straight forward and I did actually learn relevant things.
Multiple choice, Short answer, and Playposit quiz due every week. 3 exams with short response questions too. There were chances to bring up grades with a project and extra credit. Her TA, Austin, was very helpful and he would respond very quickly. I would recommend to take this class in person, taking it online was difficult imo.
I really liked this class. It stretched me for sure, but I do think I got something worthwhile in the end. There were no class meetings, but she met several times with me to go over things I didn't know.
Dr. Treme is very knowledgeable and gives clear videos explaining the subject. There's short answer, multiple choice, and participation video quizzes. You're allowed to have some notes on the tests and you get to do a group project towards the end of the semester. This course was clear and precise but you definitely need to study/take notes.
Do NOT take her, she is knowledgeable in economics but it everything HAS to be her way and if you do not say exactly what she wants you to, your screwed. She has about 5 quizzes weekly and one is a written quiz, this is extremely hard and she grades harshly. Take this course with anyone else if possible!!!
ARE 433- She is a very difficult grader and her TA is encouraged to grade harshly too. There are multiple quizzes throughout the week and some of them are open ended responses. The class is already considered the 2nd hardest in the major, next to ARE 301, but she doesn't have to be so rigid. It must be done her way or face bad grades.
I have learned so much in this class. There are quizzes, exams, class participation, and a policy proposal. I can confidently discuss ag policy and actually used my knowledge in a job interview. This isn't the class for you if you don't want to put in any work though.
THE most beneficial class I have taken. I learn things in Excel every day that are useful and I use them now in my job. Dr.Treme does an amazing job motivating us.
Dr. Treme is an awesome professor. She was always willing to help answer any questions I had. I look forward to other classes she teaches.
I usually have straight A's. However she has given a huge amount of homework compared to my other classes. There are quizzes every week that are complicated and require open responses. I am probably going to get a B after studying hardcore for every quiz and test. If you take a higher level course taught by her...good luck to ya!
Dr. Treme is a great Professor who knows her material. She is very understanding of students if you reach out to her. I enjoyed this class even though I was not very interested in Ag policy. Its important to go to class because attendance counts and she notices who is actually making an effort in the class. She is a very nice professor.
Dr. Treme is by far one of the most amazing professors I have had. She genuinely cares about students, makes an effort to show how the material applies to real-world current events, and is willing to accommodate and help students out when necessary. Had her for three semesters - cannot recommend her enough.
Dr. Treme was fantastic for ARE 433, the Capstone class for ABM. She knows a lot about U.S. ag policy, allowed us to choose our own topics for our policy projects, and made sure that everyone was well prepared for the tests. She was generous with attendance and her feedback for all of the writing assignments was invaluable.
In her class you would take a mc quiz, short answer quiz, videos with questions and a discussion post weekly. She asked a lot for an online class and there were 2 tests, a final exam and an inquisitive project. The questions on her tests were way harder than the quizzes and some of the questions were worded confusingly.
This class was straightforward and taught interesting material for the most part. The project was a nice change of pace from a traditional paper. I liked how I could work at my own pace. If you take good notes, this class is easy.
Gives confusing instructions. Lectures hard to follow.
Treme was one of the most inattentive professors I have ever had. She never responded to emails, despite clearly stating to email her in specific cases. On top of that, her grading is strict, especially when it comes to short answers. You could give a textbook definition of a scenario, but if it isn't exactly what she wants to hear, it's wrong.
Straightforward class. Very good videos with questions to guide you. Very friendly if you meet with her. Best online class I've taken.
I think Treme was good but not amazing. The class was online and as long as you did the work everything worked out fine. If you are looking to get your econ credit and don't want to be stressed then this is the class and person to take it with.
The class is very organized and she does a great job of applying the material to real life news. She gives good feedback on quizzes, so make sure you look at those for the exams. Small project at the end and you get to choose if you want to work in a group. For an asynchronous course, this was probably as good as it could be. She is caring.
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS Honestly worst class I have ever taken at State. She grades so harshly and has like 7 things due a week at minimum. However, she is a very sweet lady, and she does give extra credit sometimes. I just hate this course, and I barely passed with a C minus. Once again, take anything else than this or at least take it in person.
This class was easy. If you know basic math at all, you will breeze through it.There are examples for everything, extra credit for the exams and she gives you tons of comments on your quizzes. Read those and do what she says and you will ace the exams. Overall, this was my easiest class in a semester with a lot of math and science courses.
This was a relatively straightforward A for me. There is a steady amount of work throughout the semester. This was good because it paced me and didn't allow me to fall behind. This is the only online class that I have succeeded. The exams are fine as long as you prepare. But if you don't study, you will bomb it for sure.
Dr.Treme is simply the best. I have taken her for 3 courses and would take more if she taught them. She is truly dedicated and puts so much time into developing her own course materials. She made my time at State so much better!
I took Dr. Treme's online ARE 201 and it was not bad. There are a lot of assignments to do though. There are videos, multiple choice quizzes, and short answer quizzes each week. They are not too hard if you take notes and pay attention but it was a lot of work. I do recommend if you are prepared to do a lot work but not worry about difficulties.
Got an A!!! The class is really organized and paced well to keep you on track. Without this I would have drowned really quickly. Lot of extra credit opportunities. Really enjoyed the class.
So I took this a year ago. I just finished two Econ classes in my business major. I was the only one that knew anything about economics. Other people took ECO 201 and they did not learn anything. Treme's class was challenging for sure, but I did well in later classes because I understood things. There are easier A's, but not that teach you as much.
Grading was kinda harsh and there was a change in formatting of exams and quizzes for a short bit, but after that, I was able to pass the class with an A-. There are chances for extra credit and it is kinda easy if you pay attention and take notes on all the provided material because it will be on the quizzes
Taking this in the summer. 30% quizzes and 70% exams and there is a boatload of extra credit if you want to do it. The exams require you to study, but I got over a 100 on the first one. The readings are pretty engaging, so overall, this is a pretty good class so far.
Weekly videos, SA quizzes, and MC quizzes. 2 exams and 1 final (open note). She was very receptive outside of class and gave great feedback to help with understanding. Overall, taking the class online was the main reason I did so well but Treme's videos greatly assisted with my ability to learn the topics covered. Extra credit on exams/final too!
Just don't. I promise you these people are lying because there is no way a sane person actually enjoyed taking one of her courses. Every exam, I go into Delta and leave with maybe half of my brain cells. I've lost so much hair trying to get through her units that I had to start using topical Minoxidil. Don't take her. Please, I'm begging you.
I have been taking online courses since 2020. This is not your typical online course. 4 mandatory in-person exams at DELTA. Too much content to cover, and practice quizzes are unhelpful. Review sheets are unhelpful. If you don't know how to study, don't take this class. This class bombed my perfect GPA. Take any other class, I beg.
I took her class online and did very well! It was definitely a heavy workload with several weekly readings, weekly quizzes, and four in-person exams, but Dr. Treme was always very helpful and kind.
Dr. Treme was a wonderful teacher to work with. She always made sure that we understood the material and was very encouraging. The resources that were given were great for studying for exams or quizzes. I had her in person and she was super helpful if I ever had a question.
Dr. Treme is a great teacher esp. for an online course. The course itself has a lot of work but isn't too hard if you pace well and she gives great resources that helps with practice and understanding. She is also really easy to talk to and very responsive via email. She also allows notes sheets on the exams which are also very helpful!
Ah!!! I am officially an A student in econ. Dr.Treme is the best. If you need help, she will literally create a new resource to help you. I've never had such a responsive teacher in my life. I really felt like I knew my classmates too. That's hard to do in an online course.
Dr. Treme was amazing! The class was online and it was HARD don't get me wrong, but she was so helpful and kind and gives a fair amount of extra credit opportunities. Get ready to STUDY but I think it's totally a doable class.
This class was harder than expected, especially if you decide to take it online. Many people have to drop after the first exam. Exams are difficult but you can bring a page of notes and there are frequent easy quizzes to boost your grade, and weekly discussion posts (just a few sentences) also help your grade. Final is optional!
I know I did well, but the class was pretty difficult. Dr. Treme was cool. She's patient and very understanding and is able to explain the concepts well. The class is a little fast paced so make sure to pay attention during the lectures.
The class was extremely HARD and work heavy. Quizzes were easy and open note but test were something else (70% of your grade 3 exams and a final). I swear I went into Delta feeling extremely prepared and left with no brain cells. Lots of work every week (articles and play posits) Take this class in person trust me DONT DO IT!!
I actually learned to study in this course. She really cares if we learn and offers so many resources to get the concepts. The final can be opted out of, lots of EC offered. Recommend 100%.
The course itself is kind of hard but she does everything to help. 4 exams, but you drop the lowest grade, so you can skip the final. Her study tips actually improved my grades in other classes. It's a class I put a lot of work into and it was worth it. She is secretly really funny too.
This class hasn't been as bad as I feared. I'm doing fine and feel good about what I have learned.
This class isn't bad if you stay on top of your assignments, but she has made the due dates of graded quizzes contradictory sometimes, saying it's due on some day on Moodle, and due another day in the announcements, which makes scheduling hard. Overall, a very doable class and is made easier if you have a prior economics background in Macro/Micro.
Take this class in person, it's a lot more than you'd think. Covers a lot of economic concepts for an “intro” class. Also, if you feel like you did good on the quizzes, the exams will humble you. She says all exams are multiple choice, half of the points are write in.
She was lecture heavy. She also had a lot of assignments but gave enough time if you stay on top of assignments. Extra credit was given too after exams if you wanted to improve exam grade. She would make the TA answer emails though.
The best online course I've ever taken. Very organized. She is flexible if you let her know you need help. Extra credit offered after each exam. I learned a lot. But it is online, so you get what you put into it.
This class was pretty easy. Given everything else I'm taking this semester, it was the easiest. Everything is there and if you do her practice activities, you will be golden.
She is the best in the department. The GOAT!!!!!!! She is extremely smart and always prepared and loves to discuss any type of policy. The policy proposal requires some work, but it is really a great assignment.
I've taken a lot of bad online classes. This has been the best one by far. Everything is organized and there are tons of practice resources. Extra credit is available for each exam. Hint: do the practice exercises that aren't graded before trying the quizzes. You will get much better grades.
I entered this course as a boy and left it as a man.
Good for what I needed, which was to get the credit.
Awesome at running the class. Interactive and knows material with no notes. Best looking teacher I have had here.
Best prof yet. I'm in fashion and I come to see what she wears.
Treme is top tier. She would be good on a show talking about policy. She is fun to talk to about anything and really friendly. Her fits are sharp. She loves to eat goldfish, which is maybe her only negative.
Super difficult to keep a good grade in her classes. I get straight A's, but her classes are the only ones I have gotten B's in.
Super difficult classes, had her for three of them now. Would recommend any other professor. She gives many hard assignments, and leaves you no room for error.
Really good for an online course. I liked it more than I thought I would.
I hate economics so take this with a grain of salt. Dr. Treme was available when you needed her however, her exams were rough. Genuinely lost brain cells sitting in delta. Her lectures for the online option were helpful, but she doesn't go through everything, you have to read powerpoints. She does give extra credit which was very helpful!
Tests are comprehensive yet predictable, so come prepared, and you'll be fine. There are plenty of extra credit opportunities, her Moodle is very organized, and she provides an exorbitant amount of studying resources. Due dates are consistently and predictably spaced, incentivizing you to build a strong learning regimen while reducing stress.
Dr Treme does an amazing job at relating the class material to the real world. There are small in-class assignments every class for attendance, but you can miss 2-3 without it affecting your grade. She gives detailed study guides/plans that basically guarantee you an A on the test if you follow them. Super fun and friendly, highly recommend.
National treasure.
