This class is a lot harder than her 100 level courses, but she is still an excellent teacher and you are guaranteed to learn a lot from her. Be prepared for more writing and harder tests though.

A little more writing than in Psyc 140.If you take notes, read your text, and ask questions the class is achievable. Negatives: You have to do more assignments for less points and she does NOT give EXTRA CREDIT

Dr. Julie Bishop is a fantastic professor. She loves what she does and she explains concepts thouroughly. If you go to class, take notes, study your notes, and do your assignments, it's very likely you will earn an A in her class.

I took this class online and it is super easy. You have a couple of assigments and a test at the end of each week. As long as you keep up and don't get behind you are all right. She does take a little while to grade things but besides that is an awesome teacher!

Professor Bishop is very nice. She gives you study guides for each chapter quiz (not tests) and a study guide for the final. Overall, I learned quite a bit about psychology, and the class wasn't too hard!

Doctor Bishop is a WONDERFUL psych teacher. I highly recommend her for anyone wanting to puruse Psych. She gave quizes after every chapter instead of a test after every few chapters, and if she felt you were getting"test fatigued" she'd assign a take home essay in its place. Didn't use the book much in class, but you'll want it for assignments.

I took this class via the internet. You will have assignments each week and tests each week but they are super easy and graded more than fairly. We didn't receive study guides, but you don't need them. She was helpful if you messaged her. Grades slowly but life happens and that was the only bad thing about the class; definitely able to forgive it.

She was the best teacher I've ever had for Psych. She is always willing to help you on the essay question if you send her a email. Overall easy class to take and shes not bad to look at for a 50 minute class:)

Very Very helpful. Interesting stories. Gives you the notes. You only need the book for essay questions for the test, and those questions add up over the course to 80 points out of 300 but if can borrow great! Only bad thing was she hated cell phones otherwise was cool and would let you eat in class

Mrs. Bishop is fun and entertaining,especially her stories Everything you need to know for exams are on power points. The only time you use the book is for short answer questions on tests.A moderate amount of studying is required. If you come to class and pay attention this should be an easy A. 100% RECOMMENDED!!!

Very good teacher. Tests are completely off the powerpoints so you should print them off and bring them to class with you. The short answer questions on the tests are easy money if you make it apparent you read that section in the book. If you don't get an A in this class it is on you, not on her.

This is my second time having Dr Bishop. I can't say enough nice things about her. There's a lot more writing in this class than 140, but nothing too excessive. She gives u an hour for each online quiz when u really only need 15 min. She knows you're looking up answers and doesn't care. I learned a lot more than I thought I would.

I took Julies class online this semester and I have loved it. If you are very particular about getting your grade right after you submit an assignment don't take her because it does take her a while to put grades in for things she has to grade. I think she was a great online professor! I suggest that everyone take her online class!

Great professor everything is clear and to the point. It does take her a little bit to get grades back but that's not a huge deal. I took an online course with her and I really enjoyed the class.

A very good lecture teacher, she provides an outline and powerpoint and speaks almost the exact information from the book. Basically, just study the material and an easy A.

I personally found this class to be the easiest class I have ever taken. Yes, I made sure to read and take notes every bit of the way but it was well worth it. I also had some good knowledgeable conversations with Dr. Bishop. I definitely recommend this particular teacher.

I took her PSYC140 class online. She does take awhile to grade at times. Offeres good feed back and answers questions within a few days, but not on the weekend, states clearly to ask ahead of time. Gives plenty of time to take quizzes,exams and test. Usually with every ch quiz there is an ch assignment but they are fairly easy. I enjoyed this class

I took both General Psychology and Human Lifespan Development with her. I found her classes to be simple but I also enjoy psychology. I heard a lot of people complain about other psychology professors online but I found she was nothing like what others were complained about.

She always makes it very clear what she expects from you, so you're never blindsided by a test or assignment. If you do the work, this class is a breeze.

Dr. Bishop was absolutely fantastic. Her class isn't easy by any means, but she wants her students to succeed and will help you if you ask. There are four unit exams and one final, you will definitely need your textbook for studying. She uses powerpoints which were very helpful and uploads them online. I would take her again in a heartbeat!

I took an online class with her. As long as you do exactly what she wants from you, you will be fine. The questions that are 125 words each, just make sure you actually make that minimum and you will get full credit. Easy!!!!

Dr. Bishop is an amazing teacher! I took her Psych 243 online class for 8 weeks and I have to say that I did not feel overwhelmed at all. She responds to emails in a timely manner and grades every week. What I loved most is that she didn't make you do discussion posts except for one and you were able to focus on learning material. Dr. Bishop is so incredibly good at her job! She makes the material easy to understand and always has time for students. But, you won't get away if you don't participate! Her tests were simplistic, lectures were very informative, and she provides examples to help students better understand the material. I've taken two of her classes and I loved it!

I took Professor Bishop online for sociology. The class itself was very easy, there was just a lot to do. There were quizzes over the chapter every week and a 2 page paper due every week as well. She is a stickler for the book citations and makes sure you reach the FULL 2 pages for your paper. Id take her class again.

Pretty much the usual expectation in an online class. It's a great option to fill in an extra credit since it's worth 4!

Dr. Bishop gives guidelines that are reasonable and clear. There are no pop quizzes and she gives you everything you need to succeed. I liked her so much as a professor for this course I am taking another right now for a summer course. She gives great lectures and even manages to make boring lectures interesting.

I LOVED Professor Bishop. You have 2 quizzes per unit which are easily found on quizlet and then an assignment. These assignments had to contain roughly 125 words each answer (8 questions) but they were easy to find in the book and easy to elaborate on. She is so organized, understanding, and flexible. I would definitely take her class again. It's not hard but it's not easy. she explains everything really well. you have to listen and be in class to understand what's going on or else you'll be confused.

We had little contact with her after the first few weeks. She made her Zoom meetings into 30-minute optional Q&A sessions instead of classes and posted lectures on Yuja. Attendance was from discussion board posts every Thurs night and 1 response to a classmate on Sun nights. There was a quiz every week due on Sun night. She posted her pwps, too.

Professor Bishop provides the class material in a way that is easy to understand. Lecture-heavy but didn't lecture like a robot. As long as you take good notes, you will be okay - exams are open notes. Always available to ask questions and makes office hours clear. While the book isn't detrimental, it helps to read the chapters before exams.

She goes pretty fast through the lectures so you have to stay attentive, but she has them available online if you miss something. There are four exams in total, but they are all open note. So as long as you have the notes you will be ok.

I love this teacher! I took an 8-week online class with her. As long as you put effort into your assignments you will get a good grade. Quizzes were open note and assignments relied on the textbook. The final was a project as opposed to a cumulative test. A relatively easy class to complete but you will still learn!

Dr. Bishop is awesome! She is a very generous grader; her human lifespan class was very doable. There were two open-book, multiple choice quizzes every week and a paper assignment to thoroughly answer 8 questions (all topics right from the textbook). She was very sweet, and I would definitely take a class of hers again!

She's probably one of the best teachers I've had this entire semester. I failed 2 psyc classes before this class and once i took this class with her i got an A and I understood everything a lot more easier than my other 2 psyc classes. We don't get any homework besides 4 ted talk papers we had to complete but they are super easy.

This class is very straight-forward, your grade is 4 exams + the final and a few writing assignments. Dr. Bishop's lectures are really cool, and they are really interesting. It's lecture heavy so be prepared to write a lot. This class is very easy to pass, as long as you take good notes and pay attention you'll be fine!!

Loved her class! Just go to class, and take good notes! Pay attention to the lectures as they are actually interesting and intriguing! Notes will 100% help you on tests, as you get to use one page for tests. There are some writing assignments but all are easy, and only help your grade as long as you do them and put forth the effort to do so!

Dr. Bishop was amazing! She gives proper instructions on the outcome she is expecting for each assignment or quiz/exam. For one of the final papers, she gave me a chance to pick a better topic with the criteria she required and gave me the full complete grade. If you have any issues she is easy to contact and gets back to you same day.

Make sure you take notes and bring a study guide for tests she allows one page and make sure it includes examples with definitions for tests.
