She is a cool teacher, if you take her, make sure you also take her lab at the same time, it just makes it easier. Tests are all on lectures and on tests you get to use a 5x8 note card.
tests and quizzes straight from notes. great teacher, dont even need to buy the book. reallly nice, watch some movies. one field trip and one Moon project in semester, also a planet group project. recycles quiz and test questions. take her! =D

Her class is not boring but you have to take lots of information during class.all tests are based on lecture notes and also you can use index card.but all tests are kind of ambiguous. be careful. it seems easy..but not that easy...
Very nice lady, sometimes funny. It's not too hard. Just memorize key terms and go to study groups. She also gives a few extra credit opportunties. Pick a good group for group project; I ended up doing most of mine on my own.
good teacher. she is easy and she assign extra credit so it helps yr grades.
Very nice woman, approachable and very amusing. Very thorough, but gives quite a wealth of information! Tests are difficult, gives options for extra credit. A LOT of work. Book doesn't help at ALL. Go by lectures!
she does not understand what the**** she was talking about. very unorganized and unprofessional. not a very good teacher. i suggest her retire.
She can be hard, if your really interested in astronomy then take her if not then she can be too hard. There are quizzes everyday and homework too. She lectures alot but she's clear and knows her stuff.
Shes is a nice person, but she doesnt know how to teach. She explains everything very fast without letting us absorbs the materials. Thats why most of the people in class dont understand her. She explains stuff like we are already read the whole book.
Her lecture is easier to understand than the book. She grades on a curve, which is good if you're not majoring in the field. I recommend her. You'll never look at the stars the same way. :)

She is a great teacher to take. She explains the material very well. Her tests are based on the book and her lectures. It's best to read the book and take her notes down. Tests are easy if you study. She is a pretty looking lady. I recommend her.
the class was pretty interesting, i didn't get bored often. tests are pretty hard. quizes are easy but occur almost everyday - dont miss class. only problem i had was with the projects. there are 2 and one field trip which was a hassle. but she's nice and there is ample oportunity for extra credit.
sorry my fellow mtsac people but you actually need to study in this class. Its not hard but u need to do the work and come to class. Shes a very sweet lady
This class is difficult but it's nowhere near the complexity of chemistry so I'd recommend it to anyone. There are study groups. 2 midterms, 1 final. Extra credit. 1 moon project. Julie's a sweetheart. She's nice, smart and if you can get past the fast paced lectures, communicative.
SHE IS BOOORING AND MEAN. SHE DOESNT CARE ABOUT HER STUDENTS ONLY ABOUT THE STUPID MOON AND SOLAR SYSTEM STAY AWAY!!! SHE DOESNT GIVE EXTRA CREDIT AT ALL. SHE NEEDS TO RETIRE!!!I DONT RECOMEND THIS PROFESSOR TO ANY ONE. YOU WILL FAIL LIKE ME WITH A 33% IS THAT POSSIBLE? DONT TAKE ASTR 5 WITH JULIE .
she is such a nice teacher and she RACES!!!!thats hot
Shes pretty damn hard, if it wasn't for her "kiddy" assignments I would have failed for sure got a C in the class thanks to the field trip & presentation points!
ok teacher have knowldge and more on lecture, friendly and always welcome you when you ome to her office. she is nice. reminder you must read a book in order to pass this class because i got C by not reading a book eventhough she lecture a lot organize your note and reading to do well on quiz or test.
Shes a cool teacher, she gives quizes off of her lectures, tests are given off her quizes, and she gives u back all ur quizes. good teacher
One of the best teacher I ever had! Her class is VERY INTERESTING and EASY. Everything is covered in the lecture and the tutoring sessions are extremely helpful too. Take her class! You'll enjoy it!
Julie is a very good teacher! She's so helpful and she makes astronomy really interesting. She's one of the best teachers I've had at Mt. Sac. She's sincerely nice and she will give you extra, extra credit so you can secure your A in the class.
great class. julie makes the class interesting. gives extra EXTRA credit if you really want an A
She is actually easy if you pay attention. I didn't but she was really helpful at telling me the assignments I missed and explained them if I missed class. That happened alot and I still passed so I say she's cool.
Very strict on attendance but one of the best in her dept.
She speaks broken english which is demonstrated in her tests, making it very difficult to understand. Astro 6 is a 1 unit class, but she packs on the work like if it were 3. She is very nice, but I would not recommend.
she sucks. she teaches everything as if we were majoring in astronomy. she can barely speak english and gives pointless busy work
Shes nice but she expects alot..i mean alot. and sometimes it just gets so stupid and tiring. Her job is her life. You NEED to study and do the work.. if u dont want to.. dont take this class.
very hard and boring class
The lectures she gives are just sooo boring! she has quizes every week which are pointless and her final is accumaltive. who is going to remember something from the biggining of the semester. She is nuts
sometimes difficult to understand and keep up with her, but she'll really help you if you ask. offers a TON of extra credit. gives quizzes every first class meeting of the week but they're relatively easy. lets you use 8x5 notecard on tests. if you're on top of your work, you'll do well.
humm she's nice in person but u must follow the rules she creates or else u get fxxked up on ur grades. don't be late 'cause she will have quizes, study hard on the tests 'cause it's tricky.
This teacher was alot of fun and if you are ready to do some work and study what you are supposed to study as well as what she tells you to study you'll do great. Another thing she has student led study sessions a must for this class
the quiz are based on notes u take u cant use ur notes for quiz but everyone else did she only lets u use homework for quizes doin hwk is pointelss its only notes. u have a moon project & group presentation on a planet u can get extra credit for goin to 7pm lectures & writin 1 pg paper i never went to study session and i passed :)
Julie gives you every chance possible to pass this class. She goes out of her way to make sure you get the grade you want. There's alot of quizzes, a moon project, and a group presentation. Just take good notes and go to study session and you'll have at least a B in the class.
she sure is one very interesting professor...doesn seem so much like a astrophysi-wutever teacher. Nice person, fair, down2earth, not bad to look at (shes like one of 'em anime characters if you pay attention reel close). 10/10 for personality, 6.5/10 for material. U will succeed if u go to study sessions. GLuck.
Very nice, i wouldn't reccomend her if your going to take this class. teaching style needs work, and much of the questions on exams are not what she covered in class. Exams are very hard to perpare for.
Shes a good teacher but the subjects terminology is hard to grasp so a lot of the time she is lecturing you become lost. She tries her hardest to make it easy to learn and she really listens to you. review your book quickly especially definition. On exams study all old quizzes. Just try really hard to focus on the main things.
Julie Bray-Ali is definitely in the wrong career position. She should not be teaching. Not only her accent will mislead you but her english grammar needs to be worked on. She's super boring and basically what I am explaining here is you can take a different teacher who will teach you what you need to know and what will be on the quizes and exams.
dont miss class or you will be lost. if you ask her a question she'l expain it to you like your in idiot though she does give alot of extra credit but youll need to do the hm and dont get fulled by doing the extra credit if she does not like you she will fail you period.
she's a great person. not such a great teacher. teaching style is sort of all over the place, needs to be more organized. if you can, take another professor
She is a nice teacher, but the material is difficult to digest. She will test you on "specifics." She expects students to be able to use what they learn. She offers a lot of extra credit. The textbook is good to have, but she had a copy for us on reserve @ the library. There's a field trip to Griffith :D It's just hard to understand her sometimes.
If you're thinking of taking her, I suggest taking both the lecture class and the lab section @ the same time, some material overlaps and it makes it easier. Fun class, night observations of the sky! Offers extra credit!
yes, she gives out a lot of homework.... i have a little advice for her. "just chill, we are taking this class because we need to or in my case we want to because we are really interested in the subject...but you teach it like if we were going to become astronauts by the end of your class". relax !!!!!!
Is a awsome teacher and very helpful if you take the time to ask
Highly recommended!
Hardest class I have ever taken in my life. She is really cool though, and plenty of the students in the class did well. If you plan to attend study groups and have time to study take her. If you pick up on subjects easy take her. Keep in mind her specialty is physics.
VERY DIFFICULT CLASS. TOOK ONLINE. LOTS OF HOMEWORK! SHE IS ENTHUSIASTIC ABOUT ASTRONOMY BUT GETS LOST IN TRANSLATION. SHE DOES GIVE YOU LOTS OF EXTRA CREDIT OPPORTUNITIES WHICH HELPS! PLAN TO SPEND ALOT OF TIME WITH HOMEWORK! BEWARE OF QUIZES/EXAMS THAT ARE OPPOSITE OF WHAT IS ON THE HOMEWORK OR STUDY GUIDE!
Class is difficult and requires lots of work; very comprehensive. However, professor is very good and instills an enthusiasm with the subject matter. She is very accessible and willing to answer questions or give additional clarifications regarding assignments. Some extra credit opportunities available.
A very frustrating class. I thought at first I was going to fail, but I passed, she had to have curved the grade on the final. She tries to seem helpful, but really is not at all. Gives the worst reviews ever for tests, and is horrible at explaining formulas. I had her for a lab and it was twice as difficult as my lecture class and we had projects
She was overall a nice teacher. If you can't handle all the work in class, take her online class. Not all that difficult.
Fantastic teacher! I love the energy she brings into the classroom everyday. She's intelligent and easygoing. The work is easy only if you're interested in the material and if you pay attention. Also, field trip to the Griffith Observatory!
Good teacher, nice, and makes the class fun.
loved this class. prof. bray-ali is great at presenting material. her powerpoints are great. weekly quizzes so do the homework every week. it is comprehensive so study lots. go to study sessions, they really help. she makes an interesting subject even more interesting.
Very nice teacher. Best class i had. Do the homework which is very easy and just pay attention. made it through the class without the book. interesting and fun highly recommend
Horrible teacher. Can't teach to save her own life. She's enthusiastic yes, but most students can't seem to concentrate that hard in her class.
This is a 1-Unit class yet I am finding myself doing more work for her projects than I am in my other classes. She's not very nice, but does have some extra credit. Go to every class,do all the work, tests do not match the lecture so pay attention in your lecture class to understand her. I do not recommend her lab if you do not have "her" time
Horrible Professor! Very irresponsible with her online course. DO NOT TAKE!
She's nice and a decent professor, but the thing which made me despise going to her class was the fact that it was completely 5th grade material. I thought the lab part of astronomy would be much more interesting, but it turned out (at least with her class) to be about memorizing constellations and being able to convert metric units.
Great teacher! I didn't really know anything about astronomy before hand but she taught really well and I learned a lot, and I understood each lesson. Really interesting course. No objections. Do the homework,go to class, pay attention, ask questions if you don't understand and if a person does this anyone can get a good grade in her class!
This is one of the BEST professors I have ever had. She explains everything very well. Do not slack off especially on the moon project. Read the book! Bring yourself and your brain to the lecture!
Great professor. She really knows how to teach to all types of learners. Must be prepared to learn alot specialy because she teachs alot on Physics (voice recording device recomended). Lots of reading but plenty of fun will come from this class. One moon observation project and one presentation. Not much homework. Must bring brain.
Very nice teacher, a lot of reading and work, test are pretty hard if you don't study, gives out a bunch of extra credits..makes class fun
She is an awesome teacher, just show up and take notes. She is very helpful and nice.getting an A was easy because she explains everything if you ask questions. i really reccomed taking her class :D
LOVED THIS CLASS! Learned a lot. Field trip to Griffith Observatory. Had fun.
She was real cool I took her for an astronomy and a lab. She always has energy to teach so you will never find yourself sleeping. Overall test are not that hard read the text though.
loved this teacher! shes energetic, happy, professional and makes class fun. also probably the hottest teacher in my life.
Took this class as Distance Learning. It requires lots of reading to post discussions online, but it's interesting info, so it's not too difficult. She goes out of way to make class fun. Field trips are definitely worth it. Easy "B" if you show up to class and take notes. Put a little effort to receive an "A". Good looking teacher, too.
The teacher is good, but not great. Her grading scale depends on what you have done in the class and not really what you've learned. Don't think that reading the book cover to cover will get you an A, because it didn't for me. Tests are somewhat tough and the final was so specific and focused on the early chapters, that it was downright unfair.
Julie is a very nice person, cute for a professor, but class was very difficult it not an astronomy or physics major. interesting info accent tricky when grammar is in the question. Had her for lab and lecture overall fun class just do your work and get tutoring like me!
Julie makes Astronomy very interesting. She is passionate about the subject and encourages you to learn it. Field trip was fun. You have hw and a moon project. Along with weekly quizzes. A lot of work but not a difficult professor or class.
Julie is too sweet. Awesome lady, loves and cares for her students, and she is in LOVE with astronomy and so enthusiastic. I would definitely recommend her.
Nice professor with genuine interest. Quizzes every week and challenging tests, but doable. Homework every week (you can use on the quizzes). I did the homework and only a little bit of studying, but got a B. Just do the homework and show up.
I love astronomy and it's nice to see someone teaching it that is extremely into it as well. She is very nice and makes the class interesting. The book isn't needed that much, except for homework and she gives you very informative study guides. Take her, absolutely one of my favorite classes.
The accent thing is no lie,it's subtle when shes speaking plain english(how was your weekend?), but when she goes into emission charts, inverse square law, angle of displacement...suddenly subtle misplaced words can obscure or downright change the entire concept she's trying to get across! fear not, ask questions and she spells it out for you =)
Took Hybrid class with Julie. Julie is awesome, awesome, awesome. She assigns tons of work and her tests can be pretty tough. She provides generous opportunities to those who need them. Do all the work and participate !!!
Very helpful and knowledgeable on the subject. As long as you study and do all of the work, you should receive a good grade. She's also very passionate about her subject and frequently lets students know about internships and fieldwork opportunities. Some of the questions on homework and on tests not written clearly, which can be frustrating.
Professor Bray-Ali is a nice professor. Her test are hard, but I believe if you put the effort and do all the homework & extra credit you can get an A+. The project was fun too. Doing well on the project really helps your grade. Lots of homework, but it is interesting. Field trip is easy & fun!Quizzes are not so bad. Read the book & do all the e/c!
I absolutely adore Julie! Astronomy was a fun class! It was pretty challenging, but she loves what she teaches and it shows. Tests were kind of hard and I definitely had to work for my grade. But she was very helpful.
This professor is REALLY awesome. She's so sweet and if you don't get something she will help you until you understand. I wasn't all the stoked to take this class, but now I recommend this professor and class to everyone. Be warned though, if you miss a class you will be lost the next class. She has a lot of extra credit opportunities.
Attendance is mandatory because I took it Winter (6 weeks) & if missed a class, u were lost. LOTS of ground covered every week. Tons of assignments. Hardest class ever taken (maybe due to 3 other classes @ same time). She is awesome tho. Liked to have taken this class@ slower pace to really enjoy. Genuinely developed love astro after this class
Julie is an amazing professor! I went into the course knowing nothing about astronomy and I came out learning so much. It is a difficult course, but if you put in effort you should do well. If tutoring sessions are offered go to them! The tutoring helped me a lot. Also note there will be group work and presentations.
amazing professor and amazing person
Her hybrid class is one of the hardest hybrid class I have taken so far. She has way too many typos and tends to get distracting. The due dates for Launch Pad and Homework should be due at the same time. Her YT lectures are not very helpful. Her test questions are on things we didn't focus much on when it came to homework or her lectures
pretty easy class . there's a presentation at the end of the semester
Take this professor! She is amazing and she is incredibly passionate about Astronomy. I absolutely loved her class and never got bored. Her lectures are very interesting and she loves to talk about current events in Astronomy. I would take this class again if I could! Take her lecture class not online! Make sure to study the book, do the projects.
I enjoyed her class, she knows the subject and can answer any questions you have about the content. The lab was pretty easy overall and you can succeed by simply showing up and paying attention. I would also recommend attending the study sessions as they really help you with the tests.
It was definitely a lot of work for only a 1 unit class. She is a very good teacher! She's fun to be around and she wants to make sure you really learn. I'd recommend her to anyone.
Homework&Quiz once a week. 2 midterms 1 final. Exams are a combination of multiple choice and written. Provides study guides. Allows you to use an index card with information for the exams. textbook was required for homework only so you can just use library copy. offers before class study sessions every week. Lots of points available. Extra Credit!
Professor Bray-Ali is very personable and knowledgeable. I took her hybrid course and it required a TON of reading. She offers a lot of extra credit which I HIGHLY recommend doing as her class is not the easiest. Weekly discussion boards need to be completed as well as multiple tests, two exams and one final. Overall a great professor.
My first year attending college and she is my first professor. I LOVE HER CLASS!! I was getting an A, until i had to add two more classes :(. She has such a passion for Astronomy and loves her job. Sit in the front rows, participate, go to study sessions before class they really help with retaining the material.
Julie was AMAZING. She's super beautiful as a person and physically as well so it's easy to pay attention. Knowing your peers helps tons as it's easier doing work with others! Her lectures are great and the homework can all be found in the book/lecture slides. Take her class, it's not overwhelming at all. Only the subject is, you'll fall in love.
Speaking honestly she was good. I had no knowledge of anything in astronomy going in so it was a bit tough for me. She assumes you know certain terms but in all fairness if I read I probably would've understood more. She is very kind and loves her job. If you have questions always ask. She actually made me think about changing my major.
The online hybrid format is so tedious and confusing to navigate. You only meet up once a week so if you have any questions about an assignment in between a class session, good luck becausr she never responds to emails, even if the question you have is not found on the syllabus. And you better hope you get perfect weather for the Moon Observations.
You can easily get an A in this class as long as you do the work. If theres anything you miss she does let you do extra credit. She keeps the class interesting and is always there to help!
She's actually a great professor, BUT if you know nothing about astronomy, don't take her online hybrid class during intersessions. This was pretty hard and there's a lot of projects. HOWEVER, also a lot of extra credit. Just make sure to do the moon observation and pray it isn't cloudy most of the time so you can't see the moon I'm salty
Julie is AMAZING. Astronomy IS a science and is hard to understand if you're not in the class with her. SO TAKE HER LECTURE CLASS! She's absolutely a great teacher. I took her Fall 2016. She makes the subject super interesting and beautiful. If you have a love for the sky and stars, take it. Take with a friend/partner so you guys can enjoy it!
Astronomy was like another language to me, but Julie helped break it down. This class was tough, but I actually learned something new and now I have an appreciation for the Universe. Julie is passionate about Astronomy which made the class more interesting. As long as you do the work you will pass.
I found myself struggling to find the motivation to come to this class. Lectures were sometimes fascinating, other times they sounded like another language and I found myself confused by her choice of words. Often times the lectures, homework, and quizzes seemed to have information that did not prepare us for the tests.
She can be very hard to understand in lecture, sometimes not very specific or confusing explanations. Doesn't give feedback in homework, or tell you correct answers you missed on tests or homework, making it hard to study since you don't know the correct answers. Extremely hard grader. Not a horrible teacher, just very difficult.
I attempted to take Julie Bray-Ali's online course ASTR 8. I sent her a message requesting assistance with the homework. The professor failed to answer my question nor continue the conversation to assist me in her homework assignments. In laments terms, she left me hanging. Dropped the class because of poor communication.
Honestly not a bad teacher, just pretty boring at times. Easy to get a decent grade as long as you do the extra credit for exams and do well on projects. I got C's for both exams and terrible on quizzes and still got a B because of in class activities and projects.
Cool outgoing and passionate professor. Only issue I had as well as a few other classmates is understanding the material she presented in class, felt like a foreign language. Would recommend this class to an astronomy lover or to those who don't mind reading. Do all the projects(which are easy) and you'll be fine.
Don't take this professor. The questions on the study guides ARE NOT on the tests. 10 test + final. HW assignments have questions that's barely talked about in the book. I was interested in Astronomy and taking this class killed it. You basically just learn how to do complicated math formula.
So much homework. Doesnt explain anything just overall bad , powerpoint presentations are very vague. if you ask a question it gets answered vaguely. nothing on her study guides are on her powerpoint . FINAL IS CUMMULATIVE WITH NO STUDY GUIDE
This class ruined Astronomy for me!! I took the online course and it was the worst decision I could ever possibly have made. The whole course was confusing, tests were extremely difficult and a lot of lack of communication with this professor. If you want an easy A class, DO NOT take this one! Worst class I have ever taken :(
I won't lie, you have to put in work for Professor Julie's class. As long as you show up everyday, do the homework/reading, and listen to the lectures you should do just fine. I did learn a lot in her class and it was definitely an interesting experience. She also does group work related activities every week.
As a person, sweet and caring. As a professor, so confusing and complicated. I got an A by the skin of my nose. Tests are heavy and very confusing so study hard and well. If you can, take no other classes. DO THE EXTRA CREDIT, ALL OF THEM IF YOU CAN. Don't be afraid to ask her for favors regarding grades, she's very flexible and nice.
I really wish I was a better student for her but I have never met such a nice and considerate professor. She could get messy when teaching and is not super organized but the amount of sufficient material like lesson videos and such are a great help! it's hard to fail her class. She's also very friendly if you're neurodivergent or have ADHD or so
There are 6 tests in total, including the final. There is kind of a lot of homework so DO NOT PROCRASTINATE but there are many extra credit opportunities which is what saved my grade. I am a really bad test taker so I approached her about it and the professor is very caring and genuinely wants all her students to pass and learn. I would recommend.
Julie is incredibly kind and enthusiastic, however as a professor I found her to be extremely challenging. This class was one of the hardest classes I have ever taken, and required an abundance of time and the assignments were never-ending. I cannot believe how many homework assignments were due considering the circumstances. Difficult class.
The professor is really good, she hopes that classmates can really understand astronomy. If you really love astronomy, you will definitely learn a lot by choosing her! She does have a lot of homework. If you want to get a good grade easily, that's impossible, you must be need a cooperation. I like astronomy, so I think she is very good!
Would I take Prof Bray-Ali again? Sure. Would I take her for astronomy lab class? heck no. I think she's a great person, but this was the hardest class I have ever taken during my time as a college student. The labs take forever (I averaged 4-5 hours per lab, 3 labs a week) for the summer intersession. The labs were long & painstakingly difficult.
This professor is kind and funny, but man... the amount of homework she gives is ridiculous. This class is literally 1 unit, yet she gives out homework that can take a couple hours to complete. I love the enthusiasm she has for teaching, but the amount of work given made me wanna drop out. Never again.
Julie is amazing, very knowledgeable and funny. She's patient and will explain things as many times as you need. Her demos are pretty informative and the classwork isn't too hard. Don't be afraid to ask for help especially with the math.
DO NOT TAKE HER FOR ASTR5L. SO much work! Harshest grader in my entire college career. She will not respond to your emails. Do NOT think about taking her for ASTR5L. My regular five unit math class was not even this much work. I have a higher grade in my regular astronomy class right now. By far the worst class I have taken.
I dont understand the negative reviews on this professor. She was one of the best professors Ive had. She fueled a desire for astronomy in me and astronomy is not anywhere near what my major is. I was nervous because I knew astronomy would be hard work but she makes it so fun and easy! Workload is normal, not crazy amount, super do able.
Awesome professor! Shes brilliant and is an extremely understanding professor. Keep in mind it is a subject with a lot of information, a lot of work comes with it. But I took 5 classes with this class as well as ASTR 8 and it was easily do able. I would take this professor again without a doubt
I will say this. She is super kind, understanding, and lenient. But I think it is wayyyyyyy too much work for a course worth 1 unit. I found myself annoyed and frustrated going through the 3 labs assigned per week. Tests don't even cover half of what she teaches. Material isn't hard, it is just A LOT to the point where it stacks and becomes hard.
AMAZING PERSON AND TEACHER. I loved her class from the entire time and was fascinated by the topic. The work is a packet you can finish in class and the tests are not too hard if you study and review the labs. She is very clear of expectations and is understanding. Her lectures are clear and also fun. I would highly recommend this class for anyone!
Professor Julie is kind and you can see her passion for astronomy. The amount of workload is ridiculous and I took this class in the summer. She has opportunities for extra credit which is what got me through her class. She responds to your emails. I was excited to take the course, but the workload is draining.
She is so attentive to students and gives great feedback on everything you submit even if you got full credit she still adds useful information in the feedback section. You can tell she loves her job. Even though its a lot of work it's really manageable if you focus, she's always happy to help if you ask. She gives notecards for quizzes and finals.
Professor Bray-Ali is fun and knowledgeable. She finds ways to make a course about the parts of the universe most of us will never interact with relevant and worth learning about. If you take this course you will find an applicable way to understand the universe and how we interact with it as a species. Please take this course.
I felt like attending this class based on my interesting is quite worth it, while quizzes and the final exams are fine by me because I'm able to score a B. But yeah, this professor explains well of course. The presentations are fun by the way only if you are dedicated into it. Overall, it's awesome with some difficulties I faced.
While Professor Bray-Ali is engaging and knowledgeable, the course load for this 1-unit class is quite heavy. The labs and assignments can be time-consuming, but using resources like unstuck ai alongside the textbook can help manage the workload. Overall, an interesting class if you're willing to put in the effort.
Very nice professor but wayyy too much work for a 1 credit class. Found myself spending more time on this class than my 4 credit English class that I had to write 5 essays for. The work for this class is not difficult but just overly time consuming busy-work. Do not feel like I have to think critically or anything its just tedious.
hard class but love her
This class was insanely hard for me due to the quizzes, but she's extremely helpful and really loves her job and what she teaches, which made it enjoyable. Honestly, you won't pass if you don't understand astronomy to an extent, so PAY ATTENTION to the lectures and do ask for help, she will help you. Offers a lot of extra credit, too.
This professor at Mt Sac is the worst I've ever had. I genuinely believe she doesn't care about her students' success and isn't understanding. She takes her job far too seriously and assigns wayyyy too much work for a one-credit course. Lots of homework, 5 exams, research project, etc all pointless. I would not recommend her to anyone.
Lovely Professor, thank you for the wisdom sensei.
Awesome Professor.
A lot for the lab
