This is the woman to take. If you show up and somewhat listen, you'll do fine. You can miss a few classes and still be fine.

She is a really nice teacher but her lectures are a bit unorganized. Her tests are pretty hard but she usually grades on a curve.

She was wonderful. I had her at 8am and actually went, half the time. The tests were a bit challenging but there were five of them and she ALWAYS gave us an extra 5%.

Great teacher! You want to take Bio with her! Her lectures aren't that bad and her test aren't too hard, plus, she grades on a curve!

WOW, are her classes a waste of time. I went for a total of eight times over the entire semester and still managed to pull off a solid C without studying. That should say something about the tests. If you go, A+, if you stay home, a C.

She is the ultimate biology teacher, and she looks the part. She's very sweet, straightforward and loves the subject. If you come to class every once in a while, look over parts of the book and studyguide, then you should do all right. :-)

Very nice lady but challenging tests. MAKE SURE TO: Read the book!! I learned the hard way.. that studing notes isn't enough. There are 5 tests and no hw or quizes.. so do good on tests and you are set.

Show up the day before the test for the review notes and you will pass with at least a B. Judy is super nice.

i went to one class all semester (well, went to tests) reviewed the chapters a little bit, shared who did the online tests, and got b's on all the tests. my friends who always went to class got c's or worst...DONT GO!

Well, she is pretty enthusiastic but that gets old pretty fast. Not all of us are into Bio at the ass crack of dawn. And her lectures are boring. Power point kills me.And she can't drop us a hint as to what is or isn't on the test.

The class wasnt hard, if you come to class and do the reading you will do fine :)

I did not take her normal bio class, but I was in a FIG class with her, and she was always very kind and helpful.

Julie Bright is such a nice lady! The class time is just lecture and note taking. The tests and quizzes (online) are the main part of your grade. If you are a good test taker, you will do good in the class. Choose her if you are taking BIOL 115! She's awesome!

Professor Bright is a sweet, kind and charming lady. That being said, she has a keen tendency to go off-topic during lectures or teach the converse of the text. She's incredibly bright, and is always eager to help-- just don't expect a straightforward lecture from this professor.

Very nice and sweet lady! She's very understanding and caring. She's there when you need her help. Her tests and quizzes are all from her lecture and notes. If you study that then you're guarenteed an A!

ADORABLE!! she was so cute and sweet. she would always try to help you if you had a question and you can tell she really loves bio and knows a ton about it. she was definitely one of my favorites, i loved her!

Such a cute and nice little lady. Really enjoyed her lectures for she made it very interesting. her personality made the class for me, she tries to get everyone involved and wants to get to know everyone.

Don't take this class if you aren't interested in biology, or science for that matter. The material she covers in this class is way too complicated for a GE and expects that you already know a lot of it prior to taking the class.

Very Good Teacher! She was always sweet to everyone and explained everything very well. Always had a smile on her face. We switched teachers halfway in the semester and it made me miss her a lot.

She's sooo nice and I loved her! It's basically high school biology all over again, but she does a good job at teaching it! Be thankful you have her in the beginning because you'll have Pickens after..which sucks.

She is really nice and always has a smile on her face. She makes the lectures interesting. The only dislike is that she doesn't have a study guide for the tests you just kinda have to go over each chapter on your own and figure out what you think will be on the test, but overall i really liked her as a teacher.

Julie Bright is very organized; she had printable notes for the students to make things easier even. She stuck closely to the text and explained things clearly. So all in all, her class was pretty easy.

Bright is a wonderful teacher. She really knows her stuff and it's easy to understand her. Beware of Carolina Pickens who takes over the second half of the semester, she's really something. I highly recommend Bright but Pickens is another story.

She is so cute, and more importantly she is a great teacher. She's clear and takes time to explain if you have any questions. You would be stupid not to get her. She's way legit.

Biology is just a hard class in general. Make sure you read the book before exams. She is really friendly and really wants you to do well.

julie bright is the sweetest teacher everr. she is very considerate of her students and explains the material well. dont over look the online quizzes, and DO WELL ON HER TESTS BECAUSE THE SECOND HALF IS NOT FUN. it takes a while to get used to pickens, so just know to do your best in bright because you're grade will go down second semester.

julie bright is a great teacher. she makes io easy to understand and fun. unfortunalty she is paired up with pickens who is the worst teacher at ssu. you can get by easily in bio 110 if you go to every lab (easy and fun) and do decent on the tests

although I really enjoy science and biology is easy for me because of this I think Julie Bright is a great teacher. She is clear in teaching and explains concepts well. The tests for bio 110 are extremly easy in my opinion and no surprises.

Fairly easy class. Buy the book! It will definitely help. She doesn't take attendance and you don't really need to attend her lectures as long as you read the book. Tests are fairly easy if you study a little bit. She is very passionate about biology and a very great professor. I definitely recommend her!

If you want to take a bio class that has online quizzes, take Bright. She's really nice and a great professor and helps if necessary. However, she gives you LITTLE time to finish her exams (approx. 50 mins-1 hour), so be very careful when taking her class.

really nice teacher. very understanding and helpful. even though its a large lecture class shes shows an interest in gettting to know the students. lets you know when she'll be using iclickers (which counts as attendence), she doesnt use them every day.

Julie is a sweetheart, and I was really dreading Biology to begin with. However, she made it easy & is always enthusiastic. It's so cute. TAKE THIS CLASS - even if it's at 8 am. It's totally worth it.

Julie is the nicest women i have ever met! her tests are exactly whats on webct and the notes in class. i went to class MAYBE once a week and got a B+.. but it is not hard to sit through class because she is so nice and her topics are always interesting and informative

Ms. Bright is a very kind and enthusiastic Biology teacher! Her lectures are interesting, so show up to class. Online quizzes that are worth 15 points, 3 Midterms (chapter tests), the final is just a chapter test. Take good notes and read the book! I'd recommend you take her!

Nicest professor ever! Easy class too! Online quizzes which count for a good portion of your grade, and they are easy if you take good notes. Textbook will help you a ton for the tests also. Julie is very nice, and you can tell she has a passion for what she does. I wish more professors were like her!

Love her! She is so sweet and is always so welcoming that I feel bad when I miss her class. She is super clear in her lectures and always makes them interesting by adding real-life examples. I have really learned a lot from her and would definitely recommend her to anyone!

Very nice teacher, super easy class. There is a lot of class and go to all the lectures because it really does help get the info stuck in your head. And obviously never try and miss a lab cuz they are gold mines of points with quizes in each one. But the class is pretty easy and interesting. She is clear and surprisingly available.

Great professor. Shame she had to leave half way through the semester I took her class. Her replacement was a decent professor but would have preferred she stayed the whole semester.

She is a very nice teacher but she goes way too fast during the lectures. This is a "textbook class". As long as you keep up with studying the textbook and taking notes, you'll do okay.

Nicest and sweetest lady I've ever met. Lectures are short, quizzes are easy, reading is required along lectures, tests are pretty straightforward. She's very helpful and clear on what she goes over and made biology quite interesting to me. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a non lab class. Lab class with her might be good too.

i think it was because i had her from 8-850 3x a week, bio isnt my thing but she is straight forward with her powerpoints. Readings aren't necessary i believe because she basically outlines what you need to know. Shes a very nice lady and will help if needed! Take her!

Professor Bright is a really nice teacher! She is very concise and keeps lectures short. Although she gives a lot of midterms, she tells you exactly what you should know. Doesn't expect too much out of her students and is very understanding.

Great class- attendance not required at all but the notes help out a lot. The midterms you need to read the book/go over notes for sufficiently to get a B or A but as long as you don't blow off the class completely you will pass. And if you try hard you will get an A for sure. She is also the nicest professor at SSU!

Sweet lady! She is so nice and helpful. Her test can be difficult, so really study for them. But she offers bonus quizzes to boost your grade. Use the Prep-U to study because it helps significantly. Great teacher though.

She makes biology very clear. However her tests sometimes can be harder than it seems but as long as you don't rush them you should do fine. Make sure to always do her online quizzes as well there easy points towards your grade.

Great teacher! She's super sweet and an easy grader. Her tests are sometimes a bit more in depth than her notes, but they aren't too bad. If the class does poorly on a test she gives bonus quizzes. No cumulative final it's just on the last chapters covered. I highly recommend taking this class.

She was an ok teacher, she was not super clear on the assignments. She uses the book for the test and is not that creative with the test which is has its ups and downs.

Pretty easy class. Got a B+ and basically just copied the power points word for word and did the study guides. Dont have to attend the lectures but you might miss out on the power points. Online quizzes are really easy and you get 3 attempts. 3 tests including the final and it wasn't cumulative so that was a plus. Super nice lady.

Professor Bright is one of the nicest teachers I've ever had. She cares about her students and understands that not everyone is good at biology. She gives you a break every lecture even though they're only fifty minutes long. Not too hard - would recommend this class to just about anyone.

Probably the most adorable biology professor out there. Some lectures can be interesting and others can be like, "I should've slept in today." Overall she just wants the best for her students and is open to any questions. Weekly quizzes. She loves to talk about her family too so there's occasionally a baby picture of her nephew here and there.

Julie is the sweetest human! This class was very reasonable and quite easy. Lab is required but almost all TA's let you out early and are very lenient on grading.

Easy class just like high school Bio. Only had 3 big exams which are worth 60 points each, has online lecture quizzes and drops one at the end of the semester. Most of the points you get are from Lab and the online quizzes.

She was a really great lecture teacher! She had a lot of info to present but made it easy to digest. While not mandatory, be sure to go to lecture, some info was only presented on and not in the slides. Quiz heavy but you can use your notes and books on them so not a problem. You don't really need your textbooks, just the workbook for the lab.

I took this class as a lab requirement and it was pretty easy. Julie is one of the sweetest ladies and professor on campus. You should go to lectures and study for the tests, they are pretty specific. I never used the textbook. The lab was easy and simple and provided me with a lot of "fluff" points.

Best professor that I had last semester. She knows her stuff and knows how to teach. Her information was up-to-date and interesting. I got an A in the class, and learned a lot. I wish SSU had more teachers like her. Too bad that she is leaving, but she has deserved it ! Enjoy the time with grand kids and exercising. I will miss her
