By far one of the best instructors ever! This is a very though provoking class and can be controversial, but she handled it in a manner that made everyone comfortable. You do need to read the text to pass tests, but lectures are always involved and thorough. Take her class!!! You won't be disappointed!!!

A class you'd look forward to going to. She is a very energetic profesor with a good grasp of the subject and makes class interesting to sit through, i had it for a 2 hour and 50 min class and managed to get a good grade, NO HW and tests aren't too hard, just study from the book at least 2 nights before the test and pay attention in class.

I came out of her class wanting to change my major to Psychology! She has a great personality and I love her teaching style.

extremely easy and fun class. very clear teaching, finished tests in 20 mins and got 100% on them. 3 tests, no hmwk. u go over tests together and if u debate ur wrong answers she'll give points to everyone. her study guides are lengthy, but if u can answer every question you'll do fine. i definitely recommend her, and will take more of her classes

I took Julie for Intro to Psych and Human Sexuality and I loved her classes. She makes the material easy to understand and she is very friendly. For Psych we did a lot of group discussions in class and there were 3 tests. For Human Sex it is mostly lecture. She gives study guides for both so if you study those you will do well.

ive taken her for psy01 and hum sexuality, by far the best teach here! the first teach that was easy and fun but i learned so much and i still use the info i learned from her. super sweet and funny, she is an amazing mentor, don't take anyone but her if you can help it! no hmwk, do the study guides and itll be the easiest A+..i actually miss her!

Probably the best teacher I've ever had. I took human sex/psych same semester, got A's in both. Just do the study guides and go to class and you should not have a problem getting a B, study a little guaranteed an A. She gives a lot of free points on the tests, so you end up getting extra credit. Reading isn't really needed, just go to lecture

Her quizzes are based on her lecture notes. You must show up to class and take notes and actually LEARN THE MATERIAL NOT JUST MEMORIZE IT! Her quizzes (tests) are all multiple choice and she gives scenarios and you have to define them with the correct word. She doesnt just ask what the definition of a word is. take her class! you'll actually learn

This teacher is great! She really cares about her students. Attending class is not mandatory, however the quizzes are based off lecture notes and if you miss out on a class activity you miss out on points which will effect your grade. I took the hybrid course so you only go on Mon. and the rest is online. Gives you everything you need to pass.

super nice, wants students to do well, extremely clear, test focus on weekly quizzes. only negative is if you do the required work throughout the week (which you need to know for the quizzes) it takes foreverrrr, a lot of busy work out of class.

Almost ridiculously easy, I didn't actually have to read anything for this class and got an A. She's a nice lady, very bubbly and kind, and cares about the students, but this is one of those classes that give JCs a bad name as far as not being even close to equal with the state or university schools. Probably 20 minutes spent a week on the homework

I took her for PSYM1 last semester & as expected, this class was really good too, and the material is interesting! She's passionate about the subject & makes sure the information is crystal clear for students. Textbook reading and online modules can be somewhat time consuming, but the class itself is not difficult to get an A in.

I loved this class and I loved this teacher. I'm trying to get into some of her other classes. She's really nice and understanding. She teaches well and will let you know what you need to learn and what you don't all you have to do is just ask. She makes this class a real eye opener into yourself and how you see outside yourself.

Only her class that can gives u score of each exam 30' right after the exam done. I love it cuz i hate waiting for scores. Book is used to understand more about what she wrote on the board. Class is fun and comfortable. I thought it hard for me at the first time but it turns out to be not hard AT ALL !!! Don't miss her classes if u love an A !

This teacher is so nice and helpful. If you show up to class or get the notes from someone you'll get at least a B-. She's really funny and gives you a chance to do well on everything.

She's clear with the material; her lectures aren't boring; if a good percentage of the class misses a question on a test, she'll drop the question; one easy research paper is assigned, and she does it before the end of the semester, so you aren't overloaded with work. She wants all of her students to succeed. She's approachable, helpful, and nice.

This class was far too easy. The teacher was not very understanding or helpful when it came to my illnesses and I plan to avoid in the future. Highly suggested if you want an easy A, she goes out of her way to make that possible. If you wish to be challenged, I suggest trying another teacher.

Very sweet woman, good teacher knowledgeable in her subject! As an intro class it covered a lot of psych concepts--great class! You do need to attend class. Paper was not hard to get an A. Her writing is a little messy which is annoying for note-taking but overall good teacher! You will not regret taking Julie.

TAKE JULIE'S CLASS. Her "tests" are 10-15 question quizes 80% on her lecture and 20% on book info. I don't own the book and have gotten 100% on all of them but one (which was the first one) She drills the info into your head and assures you understand. Two "major" assignments which are seriously no big deal. Listen during the lecture/take notes =A+

Extremely easy class. She keeps things very interesting with the examples she uses. PowerPoints are online & tests are based off them. I barely used the textbook. One 4-page paper, but breaks it up into sections. Highly recommend this class for psychology majors.

She learns everyones name. Works harder than most of her students. All easy multiple choice question tests and quizzes. She could teach a 2nd grader calculus. She can fly. She can play the Tuba and drums at the same time. She once saved the president from a burning building, then saved his cat, watch, and leftovers. You are missing out.

Campbell is a professor you must take! Take and dont look back! Easy A if you study lecture notes 30 minutes before class. She had family issues this semester cause class to be canceled for 2 weeks. Group project turned into an easy reading assignment- EASY A! TAKE TAKE TAKE. Not to mention you learn material, gives easy to follow, clear lectures!!

She a fantastic and amazing teacher. You feel like when shes talking to you shes just giving you a big hug. She listens and really respects her honors kids. She seems to be young at heart and is probably only about 30 or so but she is very intelligents. She specialized in learning and memory, so she really does know how to teach so you remember.

Great lectures with demonstrations that get you involved. Always willing to help students who need it. Quizzes are relatively simple if you take notes during lecture and study them which is 70-80% of the quizzes. Overall the class was great and she was a great professor.

Great professor, super easy, except I felt like she would be better suited for teaching young children rather than college students. If you are already knowledgeable in the subject, this class may seem too slow. She spent so much time reading directions for assignments and holding our hand along the way, you have no excuse not to get an A.

She is a great professor. She breaks it down and makes it seem simple to learn. If you need help she will make sure you don't leave until you understand whatever you need help with. You have an APA assignment due within the first month then a group project at the end of the semester and that's it. No long tests you'll take a 6 short quizzes

TAKE THIS CLASS. When she says to read the book you don't actually have to read the whole thing. All you need to read are the little review questions for each chapter. 3 of those questions will be word for word on the quizzes, while the other 12 are straight from the lecture. Show up and take notes (even if they're not good ones) and you'll pass.

If you are looking for an easy A, this is the class for you. I took this as a Friday class and forgot about it each week until Thursday came around and then would spend a couple of hours studying for the quiz. (she also allows you to drop one quiz). She hands out extra credit left and right. She's a really sweet woman. Easiest class in the world

I failed my first quiz after studying hard for it, went in to talk to her about it and she helped me figure out better study habits. I ended up getting 100%-94% on all quizzes!

Her class was a bit overwhelming in the beginning. I barely studied though and got a B in her class. She is very sweet and will help you out.

Her Honors Intro to Psych is passable if you do the assigned reading. Pulls quiz questions from the textbook & lecture. Crystal-clear lectures. Campbell is very kind and cares about her students.

Prof. Campbell is such an amazing teacher. For me, it was an easy class but she really ensures that you have a good understanding of the material. If you read the book and the lectures, you should have an easy time getting an A. She also provides many opportunities for extra credit because she really wants you to succeed.

very chill professor, have her for a night class and it goes by so fast! she hands out all the homework assignment the second or third week to get it out of the way which is nice, we have quizzes not exams. read the text book and APA manual! she is there to help in office hours, dont be shy in class. SHE"S A Fantastic professor. A must take if you need the class. She's super easy and helpful. There are no tests, just 8 quizzes and she drops on of the quizzes at the end. THere's a final, which simply rehashes old quiz questions. Overall, great professor.

Julie's a great teacher and there to answer any and her lectures keep you engaged. 15 question quizzes for each chapter. 1/5 comes from the reading guide she gives. final is all lecture. She lays it all out for you and basically tells you how to get an A in her class. It is by no means an easy class but I enjoyed it and would gladly take it again.

She has a final. An application project which is easy got an A. gives extra credit! Her lectures are engaging! I loved her would take again !

Professor Campbell is hands down one of the best professors I've had. She is so caring and really tries to make sure everybody is on the same page and understands what she talks about. TAKE HER CLASS. I don't know what else to say besides Julie is my favorite prof I've ever had. Her intro class inspired me to be a psychology major. I just finished another one of her classes, Research Methods, and they were both amazing. She is so passionate about the subject and it is infectious! The best professor I have had at MC, the sweetest lady. Her class is not at all difficult. Just listen to her lectures and do the study guides and flashcards and you will earn an A on all the tests plus she gives extra credit. The class is so enjoyable you won't want to miss class anyway.

I was under the impression Honors classes were going to be really rigid and a lot of work. Not true! Professor Campbell takes her material seriously but also makes her lectures super engaging and worthwhile. Shes honestly one of the kindest teachers at this school. Her lectures are accessible online and theyre easy to follow in class. I also found all of her assignments pretty helpful for understanding a lot of terms. Youll get an A on every quiz if you read the chapter and look over the key terms and look back at your notes.

One of the best teachers at MP! She really helped me through a tough time and is the reason I made it through! She truly cares about her students in and outside of class. She tries to keep her lectures interesting by involving the class and doing fun activities. Her quizzes are exactly as expected if you actually attend lecture and read the book.

You have Lecture notes and she makes you put them into flash cards, which you later study for Quizes. You do homework out of the book called Reading Assignment Guides. But even though she gives alot of homework (Reading Addignment Guide- Out of Book) she will give extra credit out of it, She gives lots of extra credit opportunites!

She is so passionate and knowledgable. As long as you make flash cards of each of her lecture slides and study them, you are good to go. She also assigns bookwork questions that she asks extra credit questions on in class. 6 quizzes with your worst one dropped and 1 cumulative final worth less than a regular quiz. Wish she had more classes to take

DO THE READING ASSIGNMENT GUIDES AND PARTICIPATE WHEN IT'S DUE! you can get so much extra credit from that, which is extremely helpful. Tests are pretty difficult, but make sure to review the lecture slides and reading assignment guides and you will definitely get an A. Every extra credit she assigns is really worth it in the long run. DONT IGNORE

Professor Campbell is an amazing professor and is passionate about teaching. You have 2 quizzes a week, one is based on lecture and the other is based in the textbook. Just follow the reading guide when preparing for the reading quiz and use her questions when doing the lecture quizzes. This will prepare you for the rest of the class Good luck!

I do wish we had more time to take quizzes she would give us 1 minute per question. Although for the final she did give us 2 hours for 80 questions which helped. If you do the study guides and take notes you will do fine. She did raise one of my exam grades up and made me go from a C to a B.

Professor Campbell's class was interesting and enjoyable. There wasn't a single day that felt boring, and Professor Campbell herself is very knowledgable and caring, and it showed. The only complaint I had was that she was kinda strict when it came to masks and the wristbands, but other than that, she, and the class were great, and I learned a lot.

This class was asynch, but I still learned so much! She prerecorded the lectures and posted them on canvas and always had Friday as the final due date for the assignments, which gave me more time for other classes. Prof. Campbell does not leave you in the dust and will help you succeed! There's a LOT of reading so keep up with that too

Professor Campbell is a great teacher and a really nice person. Her class is the best organized class I've taken at Moorpark so far. It's easy to succeed in the tests because of her thorough study guides. Grading criteria is very clear. She was even nice enough to allow me an extension on the exam. Awesome teacher! I took Professor Campbell for PSY M01 my freshman year and will always look for her classes for any PSY class I take. She goes super in-depth in lectures and provides you with all the materials you need to succeed in her class. She is obviously very passionate about her work and her students. If you have to take PSY, definitely take it with Julie.

I enjoyed this class very much. There were prerecorded lectures that could be a bit lengthy, but after the lecture, she had Powerpoint presentations that were included in the lecture. 3 exams and some discussions. Make sure you answer the guided reading questions they will help you greatly.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!She is amazing at engaging her class through her lectures and some of her experiments are the perfect visual presention that make topic sense. Truly cares for her students.Rarely leaves mandatory homework and tests are open notes.If you really go through your notes and understand her lectures, tests should not be hard.

I'm currently in her PSYM06 class as well in person and she really tries to make sure everyone understands the concepts fully before moving forward with anything. She gives you a lot of space and is SUPER open to feedback of any kind. Her tests are easy if you just do the notes from the videos.

Prof. Cambell is a wonderful instructor! The primary work in her class consists of five exams: four exams based on the topics you learn about in class, and a cumulative final exam at the end of the semester. Great professor. There are four exams including a final. Around 7 in class assignments and a project. That is all that's really graded. Reading Assignemnts are extra credit. This class's material was challenging to some in the class but I breezed through it. Some failed the tests but I studied day of and got a As. For me this class was great!
