Her assignments are very easy, most of them are just expressing your opinion. If you do the work and ask her for help if you have a problem, you will pass this class easy.

This is the easiest class I have ever taken. We write at the most 5 papers all semester. 3 are important the others are daily grades. Are final is a presentation (informal) over the last paper (project) we wrote. Class is not mandatory but if you miss more than 5 days she gives you an F. I don't think this is true. Many have miss more.

she is an awesome teacher!!!!! i would definitely reccomend her to anybody!!! we wrote like 3 major papers which were really easy and she grades real easy too! there is supposed to be an attendance poilcy but as the semester comes to an end she stops taking attendance.....coolest teacher ive ever had!!!

This is the most painfully easy and boring class I have ever taken. Douberly is nice, but there is almost no point if you actually know what you are doing. She is easy to get off track as well. You will spend 40 minutes listening to some stupid girl in the class talk about herself.

Ms. Douberly is awesome. She is very smart and funny. You will love this class. I recommend everyone take her for 1101. I am taking her again next semester for 1102. She rocks.

Mrs. Douberly's class was the most fun I'd ever had in an English class before. She takes attendance, but as long as you know what you're doing (and she doesn't make you do much), and do the work (which isn't much and is REALLY easy), you'd do great!

She's great. I absolutely loved her class. She's really nice, and her class is interesting. I would recommend taking her if you have the chance! I wanted to take her for Engl. 1102 but her classes filled up very quickly! You should definitely take Mrs. Douberly!

Douberly is a great professor. You write 4 or so papers, and those papers are the sole focus of the class-no busy work. You have to go to class, but you get 4 or 5 absences then she starts taking points off. She a great person and one of my favorite professors at GSU.

The absolute best teacher that i have had so far. I am not good at english but she made the class interesting and easy. Sign up for this class. If you go to class and do your work you should make an easy A.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Great, open-minded, VERY helpful, funny. She cancels class a lot, doesn't take attendance after the 1st few weeks, and will pretty much let you submit your paper up to 24 hours late for an A still. 3 papers, 2/3 daybook checks! That's it! Really tries to learn her students indivdually. We painted, watched movies, etc. WONDERFUL!

What a great teacher. She was fun and acted young-as she is close in age to her students anyways. She was laid back but still got the point of the lesson across to us. It was a great class!

TAKE THIS WOMAN'S CLASS. She is very hip, funny, open-minded, and sweet. Didn't assign any books or reading. All of our papers were on creative topics, such as songs that have influenced our personal life and our generation as a whole. Great for both the struggling English student and the experienced writer. Would take again. :)

She is absolutely amazing! U love going to class & she is very, very helpful! I have never been good @ English & I absolutely hate writing papers. U only have to do 3, with topics that are fun & extremely easy! She is leniant on grading if U correct UR draft n the ways she suggests. Keep up with the assignments in UR daybook & U will get an A!

Really nice teacher! She revises all your papers before you turn them in so you know the mistakes you made. If you have a hard time writing, TAKE THIS CLASS. Your writing will surely improve!

Great, great, great teacher. For yall who had really sucky english teachers in high school, this one is really good. She actually teaches and tries to help you improve your writing. And she's fun too! She's still in her 20s so she's cool. I definitely recommend her if you don't want a hard professor.

GREAT TEACHER, easy going, laid back, hlps if needed, takes attendance every class, no text book, no reading, 3 papers and they are fun and interesting, easy and fair grader, young-ish so understands students, alot of early class dismisal, can turn in work super late with no points off, no reason for failure in this class. would def take her again.

I had her for FYE and I loved it! Her knowledge and interest in the subject is oustanding. As long as you do the work, it is impossible not to make an A. I enjoyed every day of class!

She was awesome!!!!! So sweet & her assignments were super easy. We wrote like 4 papers! she lets class out early most of the time! really laid back. i would take her for sure!

Wonderful teacher. Would highly recommend. Very helpful. Gives you instructions and rubrics so you know exactly what she expects from you. Very nice and easy going. I had her for 1101 and I have her now for 1102...she's a great professor! The class is easy and she works with you if you have problems on papers. She's got a strict attendance policy, but this is college so why miss a class you've paid for?

I really liked Prof Douberly. She's young and more understanding of what college students go through. She's laid-back and very clear on what she wants. Pretty easy class.

Proffesor Douberley was great. I had her for English 1102 and my first year seminar.... about freakin' zombies! Very cool teacher, not difficult in any way. If you do the work, you will get a good grade. If you need any help, she is more than willing to talk about whatever you need a better explanation of. Hghly recommended.

Douberly is the most kick ass professor I have ever had. I am a Chemistry major and hated Literature or anything having to do with it, but she made the class awesome. She is kind of...interesting; anyone who has had the class knows exactly what I am talking about, but it would be worth your time to take Douberly's class!:D

She's great! She's a younger professor, very interesting and different. She can definitely be described as a "cool" professor because she's really into comic books and superhero stuff.

Loved this class! I had her for both semesters of english and loved it both times! Douberly was kind of quirky but super sweet and made the class interesting! Papers were all on relavent, easy to write about topics. Really easy grader! Easy A. Highly recommend!

She was a great professor! Explains things well and makes things so simple. Assignments weren't hard at all. Grading isn't too heavy. And she thoroughly reviews your paper with you. Answers your questions and is very helpful. Laid back, sweet, easy-going professor and very open. Textbook was USELESS DO NOT BUY IT! All in all Take her!!!

I hate writing and reading but this class was pretty easy. If you are bad at spelling and grammer like me take her she doesn't care. If you show up to class and laugh at her jokes she will like you. Precipitate in class discussion and she will love you. Four essays and only hw is reading journals which you can bs and make a good grade.

SO EASY! Only 4 papers the entire semester! Made all A's on them. Super easy grader. Mandatory attendance but you can miss up to 5. She's very helpful with papers. Out of the 4, one was a group paper and one was an annotated bibliography. Def take her. So sweet and relatable. Fun topics to write about as well

Easy A. You don't really learn anything new, so it was difficult being forced to attend class. You were only allowed 6 absences and after that, she took off a letter grade off your final grade for each absence.

She was soo easy! The assignments weren't all that difficult and she genuinely seemed like she was interested in the class, and she was open to learning new things. In the beginning attendance was taken, but after the 3rd or 4th class she doesn't really care. Take her! You'll get an easy A as long as you do the work. :)

Awesome professor! She knows we all know how to write pretty well, so we studied pop culture and wrote about whatever topic we wanted (with some guidelines). Lots of pictures, videos, and even a movie in class! She's also really good about different lifestyles, being of an alternative one herself. Doesn't make class too political either. TAKE HER!

Julie is a great professor! She really made class enjoyable and covered really interesting topics. She was very sweet and helpful if anyone was ever struggling. Overall great class. She didn't make me uncomfortable at all over the semester.

i had Julie Douberly for my first semester of college, and she is a professor i will not forget. she was friendly, clear with directions, always willing to help with assignments, and answered all questions i had. this is one class i was never absent for, i genuinely enjoyed having her as a teacher.

Douberly is pretty awesome. She is not exactly clear on some assignments, but make sure you go to her office hours and writing center - it really helps out. In 1101, we only had 5 *very* short essays (in comparison to other teachers) including our final-which we revised our first essay. She is very sweet and very liberal. When she says read, READ.

I had Ms Doublery for comp 1. I loved her so much I made sure I had her for comp 2.

I took Julie for English 1101 and I loved her class. All the papers we write are over topics that we personally enjoy so papers are easy. Super easy to get along with. I loved her class so much that i decided to take her for 1102. You'll love the class.

She is very clear with how you should write your papers. She posted example papers to folio with what she was looking for. Easy grader as long as it meets the page lengths and covers the assignment and rubric. She has a lot of grade fluff assignments like a group discussion you lead and notebook checks. Read the books or she will give pop quizz

Easy grader. Manageable workload. Clear assignments and rubrics. Not super strict about attendance, but it's in your best interest to go to class most days.

Julie is AMAZING. The only advice I would give you is to make sure you complete your assignments in a timely manner because you could overload yourself with work if you don't. Also, if you don't understand anything about the assignment, ask her about it. She is there to help you! She won't bite and she is also very chill lady. I recommend her!

Douberly is without a doubt the best prof I've had at GA Southern - she's young and easy to relate to. She gives a examples + a rubric for each paper and guides you how to do it in class. The class requires a decent amount of work but it's evenly spread out. I never felt overwhelmed and the assignments don't require much effort.

Best English teacher ever! If you have the option of taking her, please do! I highly recommend her. Easy grader and very straight forward.

TAKE HER! Only 4 short papers which all end up being one big paper at the end of the semester. Each paper is 20 points, there are 2 notebook checks 5 points each, and you all you do for your final is a reflection over the big paper at the end. She's super nice, understanding, helpful, and an easy grader if you READ THE RUBRICS. Use book some.

The easiest teacher at Georgia Southern. She is definitely an EASY grader. Got a 97 on all the papers. The papers aren't really that long either and she give ample time to complete them. If you want an easy A to boost ya GPA, take her!!! You use the book a little and she talks forever in class but u get use to it

She's a satisfactory instructor. I hated having to do a mini-ethnography, but she was clear about her expectations and is a fair grader. Only thing ludicrous about her class is the attendance policy, but that's probably a departmental requirement. If I absolutely had to take another composition class, I'd have no objection to taking her again.

I had her for ENGL1101 and she was amazing. We had 3 papers over the course of the semester and we had SO much time to do them. She is very helpful outside of class and wants her students to do their best. We barely had homework besides reading one short book. She does take attendance every day but go to class everyday to get your papers edited!

She is very very nice. She is a very fair and easy grader and only gives you three essays for the semester that are 3-5 pages. She keeps class fun and wants all her students to do their best.

You'll sit in class extremely bored because a lot of what she has to say could have been written in a short email, but she's easy so the A is worth it.

Professor Douberly was very good about wanted you to succeed and do your best, she got annoyed when people would miss a lot of class but as long as you come pretty regularly and pay attention during class then she'll like you. There were only 3 papers but a couple little homework assignments that are easy to get 100 on that will help your grade.

She was awesome. There's only 3 short (3-5 page) essays and she grades them easily. We only had to read "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" and it was really short and very enjoyable. I loved her class.

Julie is awesome. While all of my friends in english 1101 had a paper every other day, Julie will only give out 3 papers the whole semester and you spend a month or so on them. Had to read one book which was very short and enjoyable. & short journal daily grades which you just had to keep up with. I definitely say take her if you get the chance!!

She is the best professor I had during my first semester. The class topics were very creative and EASY!! We chose one subculture topic and practically did research on it all semester to lead up to our final interview paper. I suggest you do yourself and your GPA a favor by taking her class! (Also her fashion sense and tattoos were pretty cool)

Wasn't textbook heavy but the textbook only cost $9 so it's up to you to buy. All we did was write three papers for the whole class and that was it. Won't take up a lot of time outta the class.

So far the best English teacher I have had so far. Take her if you do not want to struggle in English, all she requires is a composition book that will be your day book. Her papers are not hard, just go to office hours and she will help you. She is easier than my teachers in high school, take her shes nice.

Julies really sweet. She goes deep into explanation when it isn't always necessary. I feel like a lot of class was wasted with her just explaining something very simple and extending due dates. If you can finish 3 weeks of hard work within the span of a whole semester you'll be golden. Also she essentially only grades your 4 papers, all super easy.

Definitely take her for English. Very few assignments with more than enough time to complete them, and she'll read over your paper numerous times and give you good feedback to ensure that you get an A before you turn it in. Will even meet with you outside of class.

There is only like 5 papers that you have to write for this class and they re all pretty easy papers. She is always available in her office and will go over a paper with you as many times as you want. Attendance was mandatory at first but then she stopped. Class got cancelled often for me. She is a little strange but fun and interesting too

Shes very nice and very enthusiastic. There is a good bit of homework, nothing too unmanageable. Ive never had a prof get sick and cancel as much she did. The class was based on fandoms which was fine but not for everyone. Definitely not unpleasant though.

Douberly is super sweet and super passionate. It was very easy, with a handful of easy in-class assignments, and three bigger assignments that are worth more, and still pretty easy. The class was "fandom" themed, so if you're not necessarily involved in a fandom, it won't be as fun for you, but still an easy A.

Professor Douberly makes her English class simple and straight forward. There are a couple papers for which she has conferences and gives great feedback. Attendance is required, but the majority of the work is basic journal entries. She cares about her students and is willing to help out as much as possible. An A is obtainable with a little effort

Literally one of the best English teachers I've ever had! She honestly really cares about our work and very understanding of any problem you have outside of class. She gives out many links just in case anyone needs help when she isn't available so you won't have trouble. She enjoys everybody talking about their interests so she can relate to us

Professor douberly is amazing. Shes very kind and helpful with each paper. We have conferences before every paper is due so you can fix anything before submitting a final copy. As far as attendance it was kinda wired bc of covid but I would go to class anyway. Sweet lady, wouldnt have wanted any one else. Very helpful.

She was a good teacher overall. She gave good feedback on the essays for class so that you could do well on them, as they were each a good portion of your grade.

Honestly a really good professor, had her for ENGL 1102 and the class was simple and the papers we had to write were actually about interesting topics like songs so it made it easy to write. She gives great feedback on what needs to be improved on so its really hard not to do good.

Professor Douberly was the BEST. She was really caring and was interested in you learning the material. She's really laid back. If you email her she gets back to you within a few hours or the next day. The semester I took her we had 3 papers to write the entire semester. She gives you plenty of time to complete your paper & gives feedback.

Julie Douberly is a great professor, she's super laid back and seems very interested in what you have to say. She give's great feedback on papers and never leaves you in the dark as to what you need to improve on. I would 100% take her again. English isn't even my major but she made it fun.

Loved her, took her online and she was the best! If you want to meet with her you can get on zoom calls and she will explain the assignments with no issue. She cares about what you have going on. Only wrote 3 essays this semester and gives you plenty of time to write them. 10/10

She was a cool teacher, I'd take her class again. It's an english class so of course there will be papers. Only thing I didn't like was that her email time was pretty off. This class does have a lot of group work- since your peers will grade your papers and provide feedback. Not a hard class, start your assignments before the deadline!!!!

Professor Douberly makes this class a breeze - her feedback is super helpful, and she's very understanding. The assignments are engaging, and unstuck AI was a lifesaver for study prep. Definitely an easy A if you stay on top of things.

Took this class because it was mandatory, but even for a basic college English class, she made it very easy. Provides good essay feedback and didn't make it confusing. The topics were pretty uninteresting to me, but it didn't bother me.

My opinion may not be taken seriously because I only took this course through dual enrollment, but this professor is rated above a 4 star for a REASON. She's not too big on assignments, its the participation and essays that mostly counted in this course. Overall, she was my favorite professor this semester. Highly recommend!
