Highly Recommend! By far, this was my favorite course (not an Accounting major). All the assignments were clearly laid out from the very beginning. There was no limit to how many times I could turn in assignments for better grades. The tests mirrored the HW so test prep was easy. If you keep up, you'll get an A.

To start, let me say that I doomed myself by taking an 8 week Accounting course online. Discussions on every chapter are required. The homework is very difficult if you don't REALLY stay on top of learning the material. I only used the book once or twice - but we HAD to buy it. $200 later. Don't take this course in 8 weeks online!!!

Great teacher, very Knowledgable in accounting. Responds to questions, comments, concerns quickly. As far as the class goes, I took the 8 week online fasttrack. Not ideal for procrastinators, work load was heavy. HOURS were spent on assignments. 2 labs and 3 tests, similar to the homework. Weight of class: Hw/lab 55% Test 30% Discussion Posts 15%

Do not take this for a summer course or 8 week class, I am regretting it one week into my course! Accounting is hard for beginners but the fact that everything is fast paced does not help. Be prepared to do TONS of homework!!

Took her for the 4 week mini. A VERY heavy workload but if you stay on top of it it's easy to get an A. Reviews are just like the tests. Discussion posts for each chapter. HW takes forever! Used the book for the 1st chapter then realized I was wasting time reading it. I learned from her lecture videos and problem workout videos. Don't buy book!

Professor Duncan was great! I took her for a 4-week mini and yes the course load was heavy and the homework took a really long time, but it really prepares you for the test. Her reviews are also quite similar to the test as well. There are discussion posts for every chapter. Her online lectures and example problems were very helpful.

Great accounting teacher! Requires a lot of work but she helps you by giving reviews and practice problems. The lectures can be time-consuming but overall I highly recommend Prof. Duncan to anyone who needs to take an accounting course. Stay on top of the work and you should do fine. Make sure to take notes, it will make the class easier.

I took this class for a minimester in Summer 2016, and prior to the start I was TERRIFIED. I actually really enjoyed the book, and there was a lot of homework, but this was honestly one of the best online classes I've taken. The layout and organization was great, and the grading criteria and schedule was outlined VERY well in the syllabus.

Professor Duncan is very caring, and I took her online class during the Spring- best choice for a person who knew nothing about accounting. There's quite a bit of homework, but it's very relevant to the tests and really helps you grasp the material. Do your work, and participate in online discussions and you'll get an A.

Took her hybrid class spring 2017. You need the online book. Homework due every Sunday. We did not have exams, but we had online chapter quizzes. She provides a good review session before quiz due date. There are some class activities and if you miss them, you can make them up by doing extra-credit. Very good lectures and provides good notes.

One of the best, if not the BEST professors at Lonestar! She is very clear on everything she hands out. Gives an extraordinary amount of very easy extra credit opportunities so there's no way you can fail her class unless you don't do ANY work.

I took Professor Duncan's online class during the Spring semester and it wasn't too bad. Make sure to do all the discussions and do not miss any homework. The class was not very hard but if you are a visual learner then don't take the online class. there are a lot of resources to help you with this class but for the most part is self taught.

Professor Duncan was very clear about the criteria and fair on grading. There is homework & a quiz for every chapter. It's a heavy workload. I wouldn't recommend a summer course. She always provided slides & videos to assist with each section & always responds quickly to emails. The class is a lot of work, but getting 2 tries per quiz is nice.

I took her over the summer and really liked it. The majority of the grade is homework, which you have 3 tries for. The quizzes you get 2 tries and she gave 5 extra points if you did it 24hrs before the due date. Also there were discussion posts that help boost your grade. As long as you don't mind doing work you should pass.

Account is a detailed class, she makes it fun, there is lots of home questions. Stay on top of homework, class, tests, and homework are easy with online text.

Professor Duncan is amazing. She loves teaching and knows exactly what shes doing. TAKE HER YOULL LOVE HER. The work is all online and youll do one group presentation at the end of the semester.

Beware. this is a very easy course BUTTTTT. The assignments this professor gives will have you at your computer for HOURS... Lots of work. Even her online lectures are long. Uses My accounting lab, and if you have had bad experiences with this then you already know what to expect. Don't do it to yourself. Hours and Hours of work.

All im going to say is she gives lots of work her online lectures are long and she drags when she talks which makes the lecture even longer. I have never had a professor give extra assignments after the final, and tell you if you don't do them its 10% of your grade.

Great professor, really takes the time to explain things and the day prior to the exam she has a review day.

Overall she is a great teacher and you will do good if you try. Clear and concise grading so you know how your doing in the class. Every so often there are discussions which are easy and every week there is homework and tests every 1 1/2 months. Very good teacher that you won't regret taking.

Hands down THE BEST professor at Lone Star. Professor Duncan definitely knows what she teaches and explains is so clearly. She gives a lot of extra credit and chances to improve your grade. It is a lot of work, but it is accounting after all. She's very respectful and respected. Very easy to get an A in her class you just have to do the work.

Amazing Professor! This is not a blow off class. If you attend and pay attention you will be successful. Beware there is a lot of hw but it really prepares you for the tests. Overall, I have to say that Professor Duncan is a good instructor to take if you need an Accounting credit. She is not only knowledgeable in this subject, but she makes the course easy for students to understand. This is not a difficult class, but if you do not complete your work prior to the due date, this class can become overwhelming.

Best class you can take! I took this in the summer. I work full-time with a child and I was still able to pass. You definitely need to set time away to complete the work, but completely possible. Also, the repetition of the material helps you remember and understand the material better.

I took this 8 week online class along with my other 3 courses,bad choice. So much work, meaning homework, warmups, sometimes a test included along a discussion which isnt a discussion its more of a problem solver. Ive taken 8 week classes and the work for this class is overwhelming, take this class if you dont have a life or anything else to do

Ms Duncan was a good professor. She was very responsive when you needed help. She uploaded several videos that would help you do your assignments. You must keep up and follow along with the assignment to get a good grade. Overall she was a good professor and I would take her class again.

So far my favorite teacher! She enjoys what she does, emails to remind you of due dates, she is very organized as well. She is very clear and is great at giving feedback. Do the work and you will pass!

I at first was worried about taking this class online, I had taken 2401 with her and knew accounting was tough but I had nothing to worry about. You print out your worksheets and work them with her by YouTube. You have your usual warmup, hw, and quiz on a chapter per wk. take her !

Do the HW and warm ups!! It's mostly all through Pearson, it gives you examples on how to solve the problems and multiple tries to work them. There will also be discussions on D2L and its really about participation. She gives you exam reviews and bonus points if you take the exam ahead of time! It was a lot of work for 8WKS but its a great class!

By using her "Ask Anything" discussion students are able to ask her and other classmates any question. Whether about a homework problem or test issue, she will give you plenty of hints. She utilizes YouTube and has great videos for most chapters. I am sorry I cannot take her again because I have completed all classes she teaches.

Professor Julie Duncan is a wonderful professor, she gives hints on the assignments if you are stuck, provides youtube videos of how to do some assignments. Also, she reminds you when assignments discussions are due.

Professor Duncan is a heaven sent! She cares so much for her students and want everyone to pass with a good grade. She gives opportunities for extra credit, opportunities for late assignments, creates wonderful videos and assignments to help learn the material. Do the work, watch her videos, and do the practice assignments on the video. EASY A!

Professor Duncan was amazing! I took this class online, and while it is a harder class, it's still manageable online. Professor Duncan was easy to reach, and sent emails every week reminding you of what was due. She gives a class schedule at the beginning of the semester, so just have your work done in time, and you should get an A!

I took professor Duncan for a summer session. The course was shorter so the work load was slightly heavy, which is to be expected. Mng Acct isn't a walk in the park but she made the class as easy as possible. I got sick and missed a few assignments but with the leeway she gives I was still able to earn a B. She's the best teacher. Take her!

I took her class for summer ll and work 40 hrs a week. This class is easy to take if you stay on track. Professor Duncan will help you with anything.

I took this course in the summer session, so it was fast-paced but manageable. The homework and lecture questions gave ample resources and chances to get questions right and understand the material. The material didn't come as easy to me as 2301 but I still made an A. You can tell she enjoys her work and takes pride in it.

Don't take this professor! She is so hard and terrible. The assignment is too much, and she only responds to emails after 3-4 days. She almost can't help us.

She is a very caring professor. Just do your work and you would pass her class. She responds to emails within 24 hrs. She sends weekly emails as reminders for upcoming classwork/projects due. She wants her students to pass and she would help as long as you do your part and ask questions. I enjoyed taking her class.

Her class is terrible, this class has lots of exercises and she doesn't help you at all.

This professor is highly recommended. Shes determined to assist the student to learn the material. I had to email the professor many of times and she responded immediately. I can admit that professor Duncan really cares about the students and their careers and knowledge of the subject.

I took Prof. Duncan for my Acct2301. Her class was one of the best classes that I took so far. The class is well structured and all the assignments are online. There are test reviews that will cover everything you need to pass the test. She offers many extra credit opportunities and she will answer all of your questions in a timely.

I learned a lot this semester. I had taken online classes before but her class was by far my Favorite.

Professor Duncan is amazing. She sticks to the syllabus , but is also very understanding. She is quick to reach out if she notices that you have been off on assignments or discussion. Overall, I felt this class was pretty easy. The professor was extremely responsive and willing to answer any questions. The syllabus was followed with the exception of the COVID -19 disruption which called for adjustments.

Professor Duncan is simply the best. I like her teaching style, very knowledgeable, professional, and caring. Regardless of what my outcome is she's a diamond. During the pandemic, she would have weekly web ex to see if it was anything that we may have had a question about.

I took this course fully online. Everything was on MML and open from the start of the semester with the due date being the last day of class. 2 tests and 2 homework assignments per chapter. Super easy to do the homework if you read the chapters. Unlimited tries for the hw and practice tests. Amazing for a self learner like me. would take from 2302!

Professor Duncan is a very well-organized professor that sends you multiple reminders when an assignment is due which is good but can also get annoying after a while. Like any online class, there are online discussions and we are assigned a topic from her list. We do get multiple tries in mylab, she does offer notes and additional resources.

This class was a little difficult for me. I struggled a little bit understanding all of the terms. The way she formats this class was a bit confusing for me. I am glad that I was able to teach myself. But it wasn't easy. The way I learn might be different from me but I did stress over this class a little.

The best online class I have ever taken. All assignments were done in Pearson with the exception of some discussion posts. We had weekly quizzes with 2 attempts instead of tests and every couple weeks she would open up the quizzes again for a third attempt. I truly believe she has the student's success in mind. Professor Duncan was very thorough in class. She's not like many professors. She truly wants to see everyone pass her class. This class was very well structured and organized! There are NO EXAMS, only weekly HW assignments, and quizzes. All assignments are on Mylab so there are three attempts for each one. Prof Duncan also has lecture videos and provides examples that are seen in the hw and quizzes. There are also discussion boards weekly. Overall great class and prof!

Hands down best accounting proff! Wish I would have taken her for 2301. No tests just my pearson quizzes and HW so I loved it. Be prepared to study bc this class is hard (hello its accounting). Do the work and do not procrastinate and youll succeed! She provides some tutoring on the weekend so that was super helpful.

I took Prof Duncan both for 2301 & 2302 and loved her! I took 2301 12 weeks in spring & 2302 6 weeks in summer. She gives you so many resources with both her own videos as well as other great videos over the topics that you're studying. There's lecture questions, homework and Quizzes all on My Lab. I made an A on both, but worked hard for both.

I would gladly take her again she is so friendly and helpful. You do 95% of work in my lab and 5% discussions in d2l ,but discussions are not every week. 100% recommend taking her class.

Professor Duncan is the nicest professor I've had! There is a lot of material to learn but Professor Duncan is always available to answer questions and answers them clearly. There are no major exams or a final exam but there is homework, lecture questions, and quizzes due every week.

So the professor herself is so nice and understanding. She emailed me asking me why I hadnt turned in all of my work for the previous chapter and gave me an extension. I just had a lot going on outside of school and decided to drop her class dude to it having a lot of work. So I would recommend taking her but this class requires more time (6-8hrs)

She is a great professor. She gave us a lot of opportunities to get an A. If you try hard, you will get A. A lot of reading and assignments are due every week. But it is okay and not too heavy, you can still get good grade if you try.

Worried about accounting? Take this professor!! Super nice and in constant communication with students both one-on-one and with the whole class. No actual tests or quizzes, but "projects" that are like tests, but un-timed, and multiple attempts are allowed. Re-opens assignments at certain points in the semester and has Zoom reviews & tutoring.

Manageable online course. Professor has lecture videos that are helpful for notes. All assignments are on connect with three attempts. Other assignments include discussion boards. The final and midterm are projects. Professor replies quickly and helps with any questions or hw you struggle with. If you complete your work, it is easy to get an A.

Literally the best professor I've ever had! She communicates really well and offers tutoring time almost at all times of the day. She explains things so well and gives so many resources to help you succeed in her courses. Accounting is a hard class in general, but she tries her best to help you succeed in her courses! Awesome professor. I took an online accounting course last semester and I'm so glad I found her. I took her again this semester. Professor Duncan truly cares about your success and is very helpful and understanding. She has many zoom tutoring appointments and quickly returns emails.

She response to your questions promptly,she gives weekly updates and remainders.She also have zoom classes between the semester. Her classes are straight forward and extra materials are available to you including YouTube videos. Can also schedule session with her at a time convenient to you.

TAKE THIS TEACHER. the professor really cares about her students. Gives you multiple extra credit opportunities, and chances to redo past work. This class does require work though, she provides weekly Youtube lectures and then you have 3 connect assignments and pack back discussion. Professor makes this class so much easier.

She also opens everything at the start of the semester if you want to work ahead. After taking her course(s), you will feel much better about accounting!

I would recommend Professor. Duncan to anyone for Accounting or any other classes she teaches. She is very caring and helpful. She works with all of her students, she has zoom meeting availability if you have a hard time understanding something, she is very organized with the work she gives out. Do your work ask questions you will pass for sure.

The work is very straight forward, if you watch the videos, do the assignments its an easy A. The discussions are mandatory, and she does give you a certain time to do any work you didn't turn in or try and redo assignments. She is by far the best online professor I have had. Professor Duncan was amazing with how she structured her courses. I took both Accounting 2301 and 2302 with her in back to back semesters and I learned a lot. What she expected out of you, as a student, was clear at the very beginning, and she provided great feedback when you stumbled or needed some assistance. Great Professor!

I took her for both accounting one and two all the work was from McGraw Hill and everything is open and is super easy and there are lots of videos and hints that can help you finish the assignment. The other thing is that this class is discussion post, which is super easy and you only have to reply to two people.

This is the professor for accounting. Everything is laid out really well, gives a lot of resources for you to understand and be successful. She is very caring and wants you to succeed. The course work isn't bad for a 16 week course. Everything is opened on the first day and you can work ahead which is encouraged. Also extra credit is available.

Managerial accounting is not the easiest subject to take but as long as you try on the homework and lab assignments you will be successful. Professor Duncan is always willing to help and she is responds quickly to emails. Discussions are also a big part of the class so be prepared to discuss a variety of accounting topics on discussion boards.

Professor Duncan was great, she lays out the work in a very easy to understand manner. She has clear appointment times if you are needing help. You don't have to get the physical text book, just get the online code for the homework and the textbook in in that program. I would recommend her a thousand times over!!

She takes her time to make sure you understand everything. Lots of ways you can ask for help. All assignments are easy to complete after grasping concepts. The midterm and final is a project with no time limit. She genuinely cares about her students! Will be taking her for Accounting 2!

Professor Julie Duncan is the best teacher. When i was signing up for ACCT 2301 i did not know anything about course and teacher. Fortunately, I got lucky. I took this class online. She is well organized, helpful and knowledgeable teacher. She provided a lot of resources to help the students to get successful in this class.

Are you looking for a Fantastic Accounting class? Stop looking. Professor Duncan is a stellar educator and will do everything in her power to make sure you are successful. I firmly believe that those who did not get good grades simply did not try. I wish more professors were like Professor Duncan. She is organized and provides your grades upfront.

I Took ACCT 2301 with this professor and have now completed 2302. She is an example of what an online class should look like. She is smart and quick to reply to emails. I did find this class slightly harder than 2301, but I still got an A! I recommend it to anyone who is not good at math or is nervous about accounting! AMAZING PROF!!

This was the best class I have taken. Professor Duncan will give you as much help as you need and ask for. The course is well laid out and you are able to work ahead. She reopens assignments at the end as well so you can redo them to improve your grade.

The main assignments(video lecture, homework, lab) are done on McGraw Hill. Everything opens 1st day of class so you can get ahead. It's a lot but you have plenty of time to complete everything. If you're ever confused or struggling, Prof Duncan has lots of resources. I would highly recommend taking her class its an easy A.

THE Best online professor! She cares about the success of students, provides resources& notes to support your learning, sends weekly emails, reminders, & check ins to ensure your progress. Content tabs are organized/easily accessible. Extra credit available. Workload not heavy. Do the work& you'll pass. I had her for 2301 too you won't regret it :)

The best online professor provides beneficial information with a section under discussion called "Ask Anything" in which you can ask anything and she will help and so will your classmates. You get 3 chances to do all the work and your highest score stays. Cares about all her students. Quickly responds to emails and posts grades are always a plus.

Take this class!! Professor Duncan gives a ton of extra credit, drops lowest assignments in each category, and has multiple resources for help. There are graded discussions (easy) and McGraw-Hill assignments with Excel Labs that are not too difficult if you use the resources Professor Duncan gives you.

She is the most detailed and accessible professor. I was hesitant to take an Accounting course online, but I was amazed by how organized the course was. Expect four graded assignments/week. Curriculum provides an interactive learning experience that is both fruitful and enjoyable. 4/5 due to weekly graded discussion posts that are unnecessarily burdensome and take away from the learning experience.

Literally the best professor you can choose for accounting!! I took both Acct 1 and 2 with her, enjoyed both classes. Everything she did in class taught me to love accounting. Many different resources to help you learn the material. Lots of help available for all the assignments and she's a quick responder. The midterms and finals are all projects.

This online class was a pleasure to follow and learn each new task. Professor Ducan put a lot of thought into making this process as smooth as possible for understanding the assignments for each week as well as the due dates and gave extra points for early submit. The assignments had there range of difficulty but had an "ask anything" discussion.

Professor Duncan is amazing. The only way to not get an A is to not try. She will give you every opportunity to improve your grade. She personally works every assignment to make sure the directions are clear. This is the professor to take. All her classes are great.

This is probably quite literally the best online professor I have ever had so far. Everything was prepared and easily accessible, and she gave excellent practice material before the grader projects. I would say there was just the right amount of chapter material due each week. Also easy to reach out to if you had any problems or seemed confused.

Professor Duncan is very clear on instructions and sticking to the course schedule. She gives feedback every time and grades in a timely manner and gives you pointers. Offers optional extra credit and offers plenty of resources to help you succeed.

If you are looking for an easy-to-follow class, this is the class for you. The instructor offers extra credit and provides multiple opportunities to improve your grades if you didn't perform well on a specific assignment. She also reaches out to students who are having trouble understanding the material. I highly recommend this class!

She is incredibly organized and structures the course in a way that keeps you well-informed about upcoming deadlines and expectations. She offers space to engage with her and classmates via email and a discussion. While the class requires effort, you have access to a wealth of resources, from tutoring to videos, to help you understand the material.

If you're nervous about taking an Accounting class do yourself a favor and enroll in professor Duncan's! This class was by far, one of the best classes I've ever taken. Accounting may be overwhelming at first, but professor Duncan truly cares about her students and provides all the resources needed to succeed.

Mrs. Duncan gives plenty of opportunities to make up low grades along with tutoring sessions available in the evening for those who work. She makes sure you succeed in the class and understand the chapters.

Professor Duncan is a gem! I took her for ACCT 2301 and ACCT 2302. Major assignments are on McGraw Hill and there's a lot of supplemental materials to choose from. If one thing doesn't work for you, you can always choose a different resource. She's very caring and wants all of her students to succeed! Don't look any further and enroll in her class!

Very easy to follow her lectures, she provides slides, and videos. If you follow the tools she gives you the material is very easy. Pay attention to the discussions. You must participate in discussions and post on the weeks you signed up for.

She structures her course so that her students can succeed. So long as you keep up with the weekly assignments, you will be alright. She has so many resources for her students to learn the material. You can always set up a tutoring appointment if you need help. Take Mrs. Duncan for accounting. You will not regret it.

Prof. Duncan is the best! I took her for ACCT 2301 & 2302. She is very organized, always available to help, and has clear expectations. Her youtube video lectures help understand the how and why's of everything, so watch them! She is very kind and helpful. I wish every class was structured like hers. each week 1 lecture, 1 homework, 1 lab, 1 disc.

I enjoyed taking a class with Professor Duncan. She's available for help. You get projects and also need to do reading she's reachable for help or questions. I would definitely like to take her class again!

Professor Duncan's course included a weekly warm-up, assignment, lab, and discussion post. I worked full-time while taking three other classes, and although it was a lot, it was definitely manageable. She genuinely cares about her students—when I was out sick for a few weeks, she emailed me to check in. I definitely recommend her.

Professor Duncan is an excellent and easy going professor who expects nothing more than your effort. Her assignments are very easy and she's always willing to help.

Take this class! There is extra credit available. Plenty of resources are provided. Assignments can get tough sometimes, but you get multiple tries, it's more of a learning heavy environment that just takes time. She is extremely helpful with anything. Prof. Duncan is one of the most caring and supportive professors I have known at LSC.

Always willing to provide tutoring. AMAZING lectures on YouTube with attached pdfs to follow along. 3 attempts on all assignments including final. TAKE HER!

Professor Duncan was an outstanding instructor, she responded quickly to questions and structured assignments in a way that made the course manageable. Her weekly workload was consistent and fair, and her YouTube lectures with PDFs were incredibly helpful. She truly cares about her students' success. I highly recommend!

Very clear in what is expected from the class. Gives a few extra credit items and she also gives good feedback. She was always available to help when needed. Really enjoyed her class overall.

This professor is very nice and helpful. All the course work is relevant it's just entirely too much. I do not recommend taking the accelerated summer course. It's too much work and there are a lot of labs and projects. There are no tests or quizzes. If you don't mind doing a WHOLE LOT OF EXTRA WORK instead of taking exams take her.

I won't lie ACCT 2302 is a tough class. But Professor Duncan gives you every tool you need to succeed! I'm currently taking her summer course, and while it's a lot of work. She offers extra credit, helpful videos, and clear explanations. No tests just one project! I highly recommend her. She will answer any question you have at any time.

This is honestly the best class I've taken in my 3 years at Lone Star, we were encouraged to do better, we were communicated with frequently, the teaching style was very supportive and helped you learn well while also not holding your hand through it all. This was a wonderful class with an even better teacher, take her if you can!!!

I truly loved her class. She cares and gives you multiple chances. If you are having a hard time, email her. She responds quickly and is very helpful. Although the course was online, you still had to be active; it would affect your grade. I would take her course again for all my ACCT classes.

She was an amazing instructor. There were lecture slides, you can take your notes, she has lecture videos, there are some practice problems here and there (non-graded...more so practice problems that serve to only help you out and not harm your grade at all), she checks in with you, awesome communication, etc. Reach out if you don't get something.

You don't necessarily need the textbook it's more so the access code to do her work. I took her course online for the summer, and I would take her again. She has videos, great lecture, practice opportunities (nongraded), extra credit, just communicate if something comes up (life happens), caring, easy to navigate. I recommend & would take again.

Prof. Duncan is my new favorite professor at Lonestar! She's very organized with set deadlines, so it's really difficult to get behind. Grading is straightforward with multiple opportunities for extra credit. Can wait to take her for ACCT2302.

Professor Duncan is an amazing professor, I had the privilege of having her for Acct 2301&2302. This course does require you to do a lot of work but with all the resources and help Professor Duncan provides for you, it's virtually impossible for you to fail unless you completely stop doing the assignments.
