Very nice lady. Will go over ANY questions you have in or out of class. I was sometimes confused as to what was due and what was for practice. Had no idea what my grade was until after the final. She was also forgiving of my missing class due to a family crisis.

Mrs. Frankavilla is one of my favorite teachers. She is extreamly dedicated and willing to go beyond the call of duty to make sure you understand. She is one of the sweetest ladies ever made and I would recommend her to anyone having trouble in math. Shes GREAT!!!

Learned more about teaching from her than any Ed class! So helpful, wants you to succeed. Extra credit, pre-printed class notes, test reviews, available for questions - what more can you ask for? Take her for any Math class you can, she'll make you feel like a genius. Fantastic. Great. Top notch.

I've had this teacher for several math classes. She is AWESOME. She does everything she can to help students. She even came in on a Sunday to have a review session before the final exam. For her tests, just study the review sheet. The review sheet is exactly like the test. I would recomend this teacher to everyone!!!

I love this teacher! I took the class before and failed with a different teacher, then took her class and got an A! She's very nice, extremely helpful, and fully explains everything. I highly reccomend taking her class if you need an A.

This teacher is amazing. She is the best teacher at mcc. She goes completely out of her way to print handouts for each section of the book and handouts for the test. The handouts have the same material that will be on the test. The book is absolete. She does so many things to make sure you get an A in the class. HER CLASS GETS FULL QUICK!

OMG professor francavilla is awesome. She is a really nice lady and I enjoyed her teaching, even though my class mates were loud and rude. But it is a easy class and although she is really helpful I hardly passed because it was hard to learn anything. if you want a challenge take someone else but if you are a lazy bum take her.

By far the best professor at MCC. I took her for both 1033 and 1105. I would recommend taking any one of her classes, she's awesome. She definitely knows her material and makes sure that you understand it.

LOve this teacher! ShE is very helpful...gives E.C on each test..even if u miss a test she lets u take it after...or if u do bad in one she lets u retake it again..gives less H.W then other teachers...but does have quizes in class EASY! can't wait 2 take her again! for PRE CALC.

What can I say I've had Mrs.Francavilla from the very begining. I took her in MAT0012 I got an A, MAT0024.. A then i took 1033 and took it with someone else F!!!!!!! so i repeated the course with francavilla and of course i received an A. She cares, she teaches better than any teacher i know,good steady pace, easy going and shes adorable!TAKE HER!

Gives lots of extra credit; you do use the book for study and some homework she assigns, not much though.. best teacher to take any math class with. I loved the class.

She's such a sweetheart. She really wants to make sure everyone gets a good grade. Lots of handouts w/helpful reminders. Extra credit for solving problems on the board. A portion of your final grade is your notebook w/homework, handouts & whatever else you do. It helps you keep up w/new material she covers & boosts your grade in the end.

The best teacher at SCF! She's funny and sweet and really does everything she can to help you do well and get a good grade. She's awesome! There isn't another math teacher at SCF who even compares to her!!

Super nice lady. She gives a lot of extra credit and is very kind while grading tests. There are a few downsides to her teaching though. The first one is that she has no control over her class and the second is that she gives a review of the final that only covers about half of what is on the final. as a result i went from an A to a B for the class

It's all true below. She is a sweetheart, very nice, genuinely loves teaching and her students. Uses Coursecompas for homework (I dislike it very much!), her book outlines and handouts. A lot of homework... Even if you are getting A's on the exams, you still need to do all the homework or can't pass the class.

Tough class. Teacher doesn't require textbook. She missed 6 days this semester. We didn't get assignments or test back until several weeks later. She is helpful but disconnected from her work.

She's nice and knows her stuff... Always a pleasure come to class because she is always in a super good mood and funny...A lot of extra credit, take home test, open book quiz, and gives study guide, uses her outline and Mycourse compass. My second semester with Prof. F.

I found this professor to be very helpful and gives lots of extra credit. She does expect you to do the homework and WebAssign (but that's the only way you can learn, so it makes sense). I never had a problem with her responding to email or helping me with a problem after class. She missed 2 classes but made up for it by shortening the HW.

She is a must take!! My second time had someone else got a 68 math is not my thing. you do have to work the class and study. she came in on sunday before finals and help us with what ever we needed gave great study guild to final soo helpful. she drops lowest test score. she not going to give it away but if you try. she help you make it happen!

She gives you every chance in the world to get an A. The homework is no more than 20 questions for each section (usually 10.)You have a set date for when the homework has to be turned in and all the quizzes are group quizzes. You can take a practice exam before tests and get 10 points added! Defiantly a great easy and fun teacher, reccomended!

Wow! I hated math but Mrs. Francavilla developed my skills in it. I would have never said math was a good subject until her class.If you take initiative and DO ALL THE HOMEWORK, and ALL THE IN CLASS QUIZES, YOU WILL GET AN A!! She doesnt give you the grade, but gives you the best chance to earn it. Compassionate Teacher.

Best teacher ever, very thorough and slow when needed. No text required all homework is online. Lets you know exactly what will be on tests and lots of extra credit, almost to much. Happy to be teaching. Only bad thing was waiting for exam results each time...up to two weeks

She is amazing. Great to work with and learn from. However, attendance is not mandatory but recommended. This is where my problem came in, I missed a few classes (3) and it messed me up. Mrs. Francavilla was the best teacher I have had yet at SCF for math. I struggled before in math, so the thought of taking college algebra scared me. She really works around "our schedule" and helps her student in anyway she can. Attendance is important, because you're always learning something new. I absolutely loved her!!

If you don't like math, at least she will make you understand it, she explains everything very good, she makes every explanation very clear so that you don't get confused in your homework or your test. I highly recommend her if you don't like math.

She gives us a lot of assignments on MyMathLab but you have almost 2 weeks to complete each chapter. Quiz at the end of SOME of the sections. Gives 10 bonus points on a test for doing the review. You have to put in effort but she gives a great opportunity to pass. I hate math and struggle and i took it online with her and i am doing great.

Great Professor! HomeworkTests are easy if you listentake notes in class. Attendance is a must, she covers a lot in class. Pretty easy to convince to move a test to another date. She WANTS her students to pass and learn. If you don't like math, she makes it easy. She is sweet, and knows a TON about the material, very passionate. Take her classes!

She is amazing! I took an accelerated 8 week course and I was scared at first that I wouldn't finish on time but she gave me 3 days extra to complete the last module and be ready for the test that Monday. If you need help she will be there for you and if you need to leave early she'll understand! She teaches Coll. Alg. also but I wish it was stats.

I would take her again, I would advise that you don't miss class. She often will give work, expect you to do some of it, and then learn it. (Even when we haven't learned the topic first. She gives "group quizzes," typically easy, as you can work with people in class. She just doesn't help quite as much as she tells you she will help you.

I normally suck at math and Prof Francavilla actually made sense to me! Her lectures are very clear, and as long as you show up, pay attention, and do the homework you'll pass. She's really caring and understands that you have classes and commitments outside of her class. If you talk to her she'll work something out for you! PS DO THE EXAM REVIEWS!

Great teacher! If you do the homework and put some effort into the reviews you will pass. All work is done on my math lab. No text book required. She is very clear and is more than willing to answer any questions. Great teacher.

She is a very kind, caring teacher. She gives out free quizzes which help your grade a lot. She'll go over something again in class. All you have to do is not be scared and speak up. There isn't a lot of homework either. Great class!!

Best Teacher I've ever had. I had her Fall'16 and Spring of '17 granted she did miss class for family/health emergency I think she was and will always be the best professor I've ever had. Very kind and sweet and would always be willing to go the extra mile to make sure you got the best grade possible I've had her 3/5 of my math classes TAKE HERE.

The absolute best teacher I have ever had!! She is so nice, doesn't care if you're late. She won't mind if you're not there, but with a math class, it's smart to be there because she shows you easier tricks to do the work! She's really down to earth and if you need help, just ask.

She is one of the best, easy grade as long as you do you work because she will extend the due dates for another week or something, and she answer her email like a text message. I got an A even though I only had her for like 8 weeks. She gives extra 5pts on your exam if you have 85% or more on your review exam(pretest). Love her

Professor Francavilla was amazing! Her class is very organized and she almost always extends due dates for assignments. There are a lot of quizzes/tests in this class, so be prepared. I loved taking Professor Francavilla! The course had a lot of assignments to complete, but she always extended due dates very generously and I was always able to complete assignments on time. There were more assignments week to week so we could have none on Spring Break which was super nice! I really recommend this professor.

Offers extra credit on the exams, sets clear expectations, and is very generous extending due dates should you need extra time to complete your work. She's also responsive when you need to reach out to her. The class is homework and quiz heavy and also consists of 4 exams and 4 projects.

LOVED this professor. The class was an insanely easy A. Professor Francavilla offers a ton of extra credit on exams and quizzes. Material is super easy to understand and is mostly just memorizing patterns and formulas.

I am not going to sugarcoat my response, within an 8-week course, there was a total of 80 assignments, mostly coming from a HW and Quiz for every chapter along with Practice quizzes for each Honorlock Quiz and Exam. Professor was great at providing extra content including YT videos to help us understand the material better. My advice: STAY AHEAD :)
