she is really nice, but the class is boring. she tries to make it fun though, and she is funny. no open notes on exams, and the only grades you get in the class are exams. if your not a good test taker, find a prof that allows a cheat sheet.

I loved this woman...she was so cool. She knows it's a boring subject and she's really open about it. You feel like she is your friend rather than professor. highly recommended. Her tests were not hard as long as you study. Homework given, but not graded.

This class is great, she gives study guides that MIRROR the test and she often puts HW questions on the test. Dropped lowest test grade with option on no final. Got out early almost everyday and was helpful outside of class too. Def. take accounting with her.

Her style of instructing is easy to follow. If you don't understand, she is willing to help. Her exams are based on what she covered in class. So it would be advised to read topic in textbook based on what she gives in class and assignment. She gives 4 exams throughout (no quizzes) although in 202 you do have a project. Overall, she is effective!

I love Prof. Gittelman. She's a CPA and has he MBA, so she's no joke she knows the subject thoroughly. She has a great sense of humor and knows that accounting isn't the most desirable subject to take. I dropped out of accounting at my CC, but I got an A in her class to my amazement. She made the info super clear. I'll be taking her for 202!

I don't know what the people who say "she doesn't help you" are talking about. She is extremely helpful. I took her for 201 and 202 and Somehow I pulled an A in the class.. probably because I show effort. She is great and always willing to help and wants you to genuinely understand. Plus she is always joking b/c she knows acct. sucks for some ppl.

Really good teacher, this is the 2nd time I've had her. It is hard to make accounting interesting if you're not an accounting major but she does her best. I wish she didn't ALWAYS read stright from the power points but it is accounting. Best teacher you can take if you don't love accounting.

I had Professor Gittelman for Acct 201 and 202 and I really like her. She's very clear and answers your questions. There is homework, but it is not unreasonable. Her exams are extremely fair. Make sure you fill out the study guide prior to every exam because it is literally exactly what is on the exam. Love this class!

If you want to do good in accounting take her she is so helpful, and gives study guides for the test that tell you exactly waht to study. there is homework but it isnt always checked aplia is the only bad part. She cares a lot about grades and will help with questions. TAKE HER!!!

I loved her! She is very helpful, the material is somewhat dry at times but she does a very good job making it interesting and relating it to real life. A lot of students say not to take her because she is harder than other professors of this class but if you are an accounting major who actually wants to learn I would def. take her!

DON'T take anyone else for 201 and 202 unless you absolutely have too! Best teacher ever! Wrote on the back of one of my test to see her after class then told me that i should seriously consider majoring in acct. Just shows how much she cares for her students. TAKE HER!

Professor Gittelman is the best. She makes sure her students know what they are doing and will stay after class if someone asks her for help. I have taken her for 201 and 202 and she definately made me a smarter overall Accounting Student. Take her whether you are an Accounting Major or Not.

Great teacher.I was failing at first but was able to get a B, not impossible but had to work for it.Print her fill in notes for class makes it much easier.3 exams and final non cum, team project.&case presentation not too difficult.Def do HW it helps, she goes over it in class, checks to see if u did it. And she said no more aplia next semester.

This class is pretty boring besides learning about other countries. Professor Gittelman tries to make it interesting, but it's pretty much impossible.

She is a very nice teacher unless your class is not participating. she believes in class participation and it actually helps you in the long run. has homework at the end end of each chapter and MyAccountingLab as well. It's easy...just have to do the work.

Gittelman is great professor!She explains everything with speed but with clarity.There are 3 exams,10 quizzes and 1 final. I hated acct and thought I was gonna fail(because I failed 2 tests) but in the end I pulled off a C to pass the class. She doesnt bump any grades. You have to work hard in her class! GO TO SI SESSIONS.

This course covers a lot of material but it is not that tough. Gittelman is very helpful and approachable. She knew what she was talking about and had interesting real life stories.

If you want to learn, take Gittelman. I switched my major after taking her for ACCT 201 and 202 with her. She's straight forward about what she puts on exams, just study what she says and you'll do well.

I love Gittlelman. She is super helpful and the outlines she prepares for you to take notes on are super helpful. There is online and book homework but its only a couple problems per chapter. She also knows what she is teaching. She also tells you everything that will be on tests and quizzes. Please take her for 201 she is the best!

Gittelman is an awesome, really down to earth teacher. She doesn't make you feel like her class should consume your life. She outlines the chapters for you & also gives you study guides for the 2 midterm exams. She tells you when there will be quizzes & also checks to see if you did the HW. There is a group presentation @ the end of the semest.

She went pretty fast through some chapter but tests and quizzes were pretty easy. She gives out extra credit too. I would definitely take her again

I took her for acct 201. I thought was a good professor. She made outlines for every chapter and gives study guides for every quiz. You need to understand all the material to do well on the tests. The multiple choice questions are very hard but they are not worth a lot. The short answers will be easy if you do the homework.

She's a great professor. She posts outlines and study guides for tests on Myclasses. Study from them. I am taking her again for Acct 202. Do the homeworks and you will do well on the exams. The multiple choice part of the exam is kind of tricky and hard but they're not worth as much as the journal entries.

For every chapter she has a clear outline for what you need to know. She goes over each chapter in enough depth for you to do well in the class. The hardest part of the class is the online homework on WileyPlus and Orion. If you pay attention and do the homework you'll be fine.

Knows her stuff & lectures are clear, especially with the outline she makes. Lots of homework, but it really drives home the concepts & problems that will be on the tests. However, the tests are really tough, especially the ones she doesn't make. Also, she goes over homework by snaking around the room which is distracting. Overall, would take again

Gittelman is a fantastic teacher and would highly recommend her to all those who are looking for a strong base in accounting. She gives a large amount of homework but ultimately if done correctly you will know the information and barely need to study for exams (don't quote me on that). If you put in the work your will succeed.

Professor Gittelman is amazing. Hands down the best professor I've ever had. She adds humor and sarcasm to her lectures and is really knowledgable of the subject. A couple friends and I are taking her 8am this coming semester just so we can have her as our professor again. 110% recommended

If you have the chance to take this professor, do so!!! She posts power points that you can print out ahead of time to follow along with her in class. Tests are tough, but if you go over your homework and notes from class, you should be fine.

i took her for acct 201 and i really liked her. she is a tough professor and makes you work for your grade. she has every chapter outlined for you and gives you a study guide for the exams. she assigns a lot of homework but as long as you do good on them you should be fine.

She is the best professor that I've ever had. She is very tough, but is willing to give you extra help and boost your grade if you are showing that you care and deserve the higher grade. 202 was more difficult than 201, but either way, she is an amazing professor. Highly recommend

She makes accounting so easy to understand. If you do the reading and the homework and follow along with the outlines she provides for you in class, you will do great. The exams are hard but study the material and put in the work and you will pass. I wish I could take her for 202 but it didn't work with my schedule. Definitely recommend her!

Dr. Gittleman is very intelligent. She knows her accounting. This class is totally different than 201 but its doable. If you study the outlines for each chapter and master the practice problems on it, you will be golden.

One of the best professors I have ever had. She takes attendance but you should go anyway because her lectures are so good. There is 3 exams, online homework and syllabus homework. But the exams are the exact homework problems.

Probably one of the best professors Ive had at SU. Took her for acct 201 and she explained everything so perfectly and so easy to understand. I switched my major from education to business and didnt know much but she made it so easy for me to understand. Take her if you get the chance!!

Good teacher compared to all the other accounting teachers. She gives you packets for the notes which are super helpful, but you must show up to class.

Great teacher and really cares about accounting and her students doing well. The weekly LearnSmart, HW and quiz are on McGrawHill and aren't bad if you actually take notes during her class, they cover everything. The tests are a little challenging but they are standardized so picking a different professor for ACCT 201/202, won't change the exams.

She is a great professor who really understands the material. She shares all kinds of stories to keep the class interesting. Her class is very organized and I always felt prepared for the exams. Just make sure you pay attention and do the work. There are weekly homework's and quizzes that are proctored. So go to class and study.

International accounting and prof Gittelman's lectures were extremely boring. Exams were difficult, but if you put in the effort you will be okay. Participation is graded entirely on her subjective perception, and the country project grading seemed really off. She does care for each student, but I don't think she was a particularly effective prof.

She is one of the best professor I have ever had at Salisbury University. Her outlines and teaching style is very clear and concise. I am taking her managerial accounting class next semester with her as well. If you prepare and work hard you will be fine. Their is a lo of HW but it helps to reinforce important concepts. Take her you won't regret it

The course is very easy- attend lectures and complete weekly homework (graded based on completion). There are three exams- all three are very hard. Definitely need more than one weekend to study. Gittelman knows her stuff, is very helpful and responds quickly to emails. She also asks the student's opinions about due dates.

Absolutely love this class. If it wasn't taught by her I probably wouldn't enjoy it as much. The class is tough but, if you do you diligence you will be rewarded.

Professor Gittelman was fantastic! I almost became an accounting major/minor because of her. She makes what may otherwise be boring content very engaging. She also connects the content to the real-world so that students can see the benefit in what they're learning. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Professor Gittelman to anyone taking ACCT 201 and 202.

Professor Gittelman is by far my favorite professor at SU. I took 201 with her and loved it so much that I took her for 202 as well. She provides really comprehensive guided notes that make the material very easy to understand as long as you pay attention in class! She doesn't allow technology in her class but I honestly didn't mind at all.
