We should actually be calling her Dr. Julie Hernandez. She was a great professor, easy to understand and quite fun at times too. You get to do neat thing like create your own comercial and a program promoting or deterring a behavior. Wonderful teacher!!!

I think she is a very intelligent woman. Dr. Hernandez makes sure to check if everyone understands what she is teaching. She didn't assign too much homework and I felt she prepared the class well for exams.

Dr. Hernandez is a wonderful professor. She teaches everything very clearly. Her presentations are powerpoint, which makes notetaking a breeze. If you do not understand something, she will explain it to you. Her quizzes come straight from her presentations, so if you show up, it's easy.

She is a very good teacher...her Quizs help prepare easily for the tests...She is also good about extra credit (we've had about 10-12 points extra credit already only half-way through the symester) she is a little confusing to understand the first day of class-but it's easy to understand her now. She is also very nice.

Come to every class, get the notes, follow her rules(no tardies/over stepping boundaries) and you're smooth sailing. Gets right to the point on the material, grades fair, and answers all questions/helps you understand until you get it. Took her for 2 semesters- WONDERFUL TEACHER!

At first she seems a little intimidating but once the class warms up she is really sweet and just a mom. show up to class there is tons of extra credit and the quizes come straight from the NOTES and KEY POINTS she puts on the board. i loves her and would for sure take her again!

At first I wasn't impressed, a little slow moving, but she warms up as the semester gets going and I really liked her by mid-term. It's not a hard class, just attend, read and take notes. She has option of extra credit too. Hernandez is knowledgeable in her field and clearly likes to teach.

Very good instructor, she has a way of knowing when a topic needs to reiterated because of its difficulty to comprehend. She has a good sense of humor and most times is very upbeat. I am taking more of her classes.

She is not very reliable, she has 2 kids and must have canceled class at least 8 times in the semester I took her class. However, she is a GREAT teacher.

Yes, Julie is very nice and answers your questions thoroughly. But she is too slow. We only got through 3 power point slides per class!! and she would go over one idea so many times, it drove me nuts. It didn't help that we had several individuals who wouldn't just let her teach but I will never again take a class from her.

Mrs. Hernandez is clear on what she expects out of you. Tests are on notes and focus topics from the book, so if you don't attend you don't know what she covered. We do interactive experiments which really breaks up the time well. She makes me laugh! The info she teaches sticks because of the great examples she uses. TAKE HER!

Easy teacher and so nice! She explains herself well and she puts all of her notes on power point. You don't have to read the whole text book, she tells you what pages to read. Her tests are exactly what's on her power point notes and they are all multiple choice. You can tell she loves what she does. I recommend taking her for any psychology class!

I wasn't sure how I'd like this class the first day but by the end I was loving it and more importantly it stuck! The way she teaches class is awesome. She actually relates it to you so you will remember it come test time. If you come to class, read what she tells you to read, and take the notes she tells you to take you will do very well!

Very enthusiastic about teaching and her subject. Seems to care about getting concepts through to the students. Quizzes and tests cover a lot of material so be prepared to study--she'll highlight certain topics. Did give extra credit opportunities which were very interesting to complete, so take advantage of them. Take her class.

Awesome, awesome teacher. She is enthusiastic about her subject, really nice, and tells you basically what's going to be on the tests/quizzes. If you pay a reasonable amount of attention in class, you really won't have to study too much. Class can get a little dry at times, but overall Mrs. Hernandez is awesome.

She puts the notes online and attendance is not mandatory, however, you will do better on the tests if you show up. All tests are multiple choice and she will put a study guide on EAGLE. Hernandez's psychology class is so interesting! She teaches off of a power-point, and she includes videos and personal stories in the lecture. She assigns two papers and they're about 3-4 pages with no set format other than the basic MLA suggestions. She gives quizes and tests that are pretty simple! She also gives extra credit. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Professor Hernandez was amazing this semester. I really enjoy her lectures. She brings comedy into the topics, and involves real-life examples and personal scenarios to help you learn psych. Attendance was not mandatory, but you definitely learn better when you attend. As long as you pay attention (which is easy with her ) you will do well. GREAT

Julie is willing to help. you do case presentation with a group of students. she gives out lot of extra credit. but her tests are challenging, and her quizzes are too. you have to write a 7 page paper, i was surprised because i have gotten a's in both english 101 and 103, and got an 82100 on it. you have to study, her lectures long and dry

Julie Hernandez talks very quiet so I would suggest sitting in front of class. Tests are very hard and does not explain what she is looking for in her papers. Lectures are interesting and she is funny. You should take this class if you can memorize tons of definitions easy.

As long as you read and study, there is no way u wouldn't get an A! she posted her powerpoints and u don't have to take notes if you print out your powerpoints. Given extra credits.

FOCUS TOPICS! Yes you do these on your own, it's called college not high school. Julie is so funny & each lecture is entertaining. She really knows her stuff and really helps you learn the material. She has a great strategy for lectures. You really don't need the book if you just purchase the pearson online code. Get a used copy if you need one.

Prof. Hernandez was awesome! This class you will need to pay attention to pass and what you put into it will make or break you. However, you can tell she is passionate about psychology! I can honestly say Prof. Hernandez has inspired me to become a Psychologist after taking this course.

One of the easiest classes, as long as you have a basic knowledge of psychology or you listen to the lectures you'll hardly need the book (I didn't even but it but she does have one in the RVC library if you need it).

This course is lecture based although the lectures are interesting and make the material easy to understand. Her tests and quizzes are easy as long as you study your notes and read and take notes on the focus topics. Great professor! I would take her class again!

Professor Hernandez really knows what she's doing. She is really there for her students, if you struggle at all with terms she consistently states throughout the semester that she's available during office hours. She gives many, many chances for extra credit. And unlike some psych classes she gives you an idea of what exactly to study for quizzes.

She's a good professor and really interesting. She takes her time with lectures, so it's a bit slow, but she's enjoyable and very nice. The tests, quizzes, and the whole class in general are really easy.

She assigns focus topics which are optional but some of the topics will be on the quizzes and exams, so I would suggest doing them- it takes 10 minutes. The notes are on Eagle but test dates are told in class. (etc)

Dr. Julie Hernandez has a way of teaching psychology that is enough to make the entire class switch to a psychology major! Psychology comes alive during her lectures! Her use of a power point presentation during every lecture really aids understanding of the material. Do be sure to sit near the front though, since she is a little soft-spoken.

Very easy class if you show up and pay attention. The material isn't hard. Only five homework assignments and she drops the lowest score of the five. She does do quizzes after each chapter but they're super easy. Very funny and would definitely recommend!

This class is boring but very easy. She adds humor and stories to make class more interesting. Make sure to check out when the homework is due because she doesn't remind you in class.

Lectures are very in-depth on few topics and somewhat boring, but worth sitting through. The only necessary studying is really on the focus topics. Lots of extra credit opportunities and very easy assignments. It's would be hard to fail. Kinda funny and very easy-going.

Her lectures go over a lot of the same material covered if you had any previous psych courses in high school. Will it does seem like review, her lectures are very thorough so tests are pretty much a breeze as long as you listen during class. She explains the material well and will clarify anything you ask. So if you do poorly, it's your own fault.

It took more days than it should have to go over one of her powerpoints so that got frustrating. She just really wants to make sure people understand what she's teaching. It can just feel long.

BEST TEACHER I EVER HAD EVER. Honestly, no one beats her. Take as many classes with her as you can. She's adorable, so sweet, and just utterly the most genuine person. Her teaching method is perfect. Take Social Psych with her; It is a very interesting She does grade attendance but gives lots of extra credit. No homework either, just quizzes, exams, one paper, and a group project.

I took STU100 with her since it was required. She had 4 Attendance Activities that you had to be there because they were worth 25 Points each. We had 2 papers and powerpoint, but and she explained exactly what we needed to do. She also gave us 2 extra credit opportunities and even canceled the class a few times. Overall funny and caring but rambles

She is a very thorough professor, but that means she talks a lot on topics that do not need that much discussion. It is really easy to zone out in her class because she talks so much. You can get an A in this class easily as long as you show up to lecture and do the required readings that she doesn't cover in class.

Dr. Hernandez was one of my favorite professors during my semester. She inspired me to change my major and go into Educational Psychology, a field I never thought I would want to work in. She has a very optimistic attitude and adds in personal stories to her lectures to make the class funny and more interesting.

This class was taken all online and structured very well. It was at your own pace which I liked a lot, but at the same time there were deadlines to hit. Very easy class and all self based.

Prof Julie L. Hernandez is the BESTTTTTTTT. She is a super easy grader and this class is pretty much a guaranteed A, just do all your work. The tests are super easy and the time frame between assignments are two- ish months.
