she is a great teacher. extremely helpful. she offers as much extra credit as you can turn in. the mid term and the final come directly from the questions on the quizzes, and she tells you exactly what the questions are word for word. you will make an A if you just do the work. Government dose not get any easier then this!

READ THE CHAPTERS! If you read the chapters, you will be able to (easily) pull a "C" (or better) on the quizzes. Mid-term and Final exams come straight from the quizzes, so an "A" for each of those. Many, many opportunities for "extra credit" which is added to the quiz grades. You REALLY have to work to NOT get an "A" if you want one.

I took her for gov't 2301 in summer I and III. Easiest A I have ever received. Just show up to class and study a little and the class is easy. She is an excellent teacher too. Loves government and helping her students pass.

I took the online class. Everything was pretty straight forward. If you read the chapters then you can make an A or B on the weekly quizzes. Same is true for the midterm and final. There is a 7 page paper due at the end of the semester. If you do what is required it is fairly easy to make an A.

She is one of the most inteligent professors i've ever met. She has more professional expertise than any one in the college, im suprised shes not the dean of the department. I think those who enroll in Ms. Hershenberg's class will leave with a new love for political science ! ! !

Show up to class and participate, she loves group discussions. We got to grade our own quizzes, if you fail this teacher you suck at life. She uses the same book for 2301 & 2302 take her both times.

Excellent! She has purpose and passion for this subject and passes it on to the student. She uses a multitude of tools to teach with but tests mainly from the book. She modifys assignments on the syllabus so you must show up at every class. If you are afraid your political slant will affect your grade, it won't. Shes professional.

I took her for 2301 & 2302. She will open you up to the world of politics. She interacts with class and stays involved. Always has a cool video to watch. Your research paper is your choice. She doesnt judge peoples opinions. She is easy on the eyes and ears. I wish I failed so I could hang out with her another semester.

I love this professor. I took Gov 2302 Fall 2011.I wish I had taken Govt 2301 with her. She makes Govt interesting. English is my second language but I got an A. Essay is easy. There are a lot of extra credit and you don't need to work hard, you still get an A.I'm considering retaking Govt 2301 with her to replace my C.Absolutely love her!!!

Professor Hershenberg is an excellent teacher! I loved her class. LOTS of work to do and the quizes are kind of tough, but plenty of extra credit opportunities. Make sure you do the paper according to her instructions and attend class!

Miss Hershenberg's teaching style should be the standard for all professors out there. Her hard work and compassion about what she is teaching makes me want to be a success in everything that I do. I believe if you are planning on take one of her classes in the future then you have made the best decisions of your life.

She's really fun. I never cared at all for politics or the government - until I took her class. She actually kind of 'forces' you to care (in a good way, a really good way) and be an active student and citizen. We had a lot of interesting discussions in the classroom. I wish I could've taken her for 2301 too.

This is the freaking teacher at Collin College. Anyone should consider it an honor to be in her class. If you do what is ask of you then you will definitely pass this class. Those that gave her a bad review are those that did not have a desire to learn. If she was so bad, why does her class fill up so quickly. She is a must take.

Wow, I came into this class expecting this to be just another core credit I needed. I have learned so much more in this class than I expected. For a pre-health major who usually isn't so fond of the social sciences, this class changed my perspective on politics. Her tests are alright (got an A on the second one), but do her assignments and keep up!

She is one of the most well informed professors you'll ever take. She focuses more on how the past shaped over current government and not on the boring stuff. She helps you learn things that'll will be useful in your daily life. I loved professor Hershenberg and id recommend her to everyone!

She was not an easy A. What you do is what you get. Read the chapters, and do take notes on them! I skipped some classes but ended up with an A. She's very enthusiastic about Govt and she was a joy to take. (Took a 7-9:45 pm class) We did have an 8 pg paper assignment due at the end of the semester, but half of it was writing about yourself.

J. Hershenberg was amazing. I normally find Government boring, but she's very inspiring.

I took her in the Summer and she was a pretty great professor, she's also a lawyer so she might be a terrible person, but she definitely makes the class interesting with personal experience. One of my favorite classes so far.

Professor Hershenberg is extraordinary. Her lectures are detailed and engaging, and her real life experience as a lawyer makes the class extremely hands on. She cares for students and goes above and beyond in her duties as a professor to make sure that students have a successful understanding of the coursework. My favorite professor!

Professor Hershenberg is FANTASTIC! Her class is not necessarily easy but her enthusiasm and dedication gave me a reason to want to excel in her class. Be prepared to read a lot if you are taking her express class. I almost wish I took her for an entire semester so I could learn even more. Great teacher! I'm going to miss her.

The Good: She's very energetic and enthusiastic, making the lectures engaging and interesting. She's also very knowledgeable. The Bad: She makes things more difficult and complicated than they have to be. She's not understanding of students' situations outside of the classroom. She can be unorganized and forgets to post extra credit grades.

By far my favorite professor I've had at quad c. Incredibly knowledgeable and her lectures show it. Her lectures also shows that she truly cares about the students experience in the course and does everything to make sure you're prepared and understand. If you got a not so hot grade in this course, it's all on you. Would take her again.

Attendance may not be mandatory but don't expect to do well at all on the tests if you skip. If you aren't prepared to study and do the extra worksheets that she gives the answers too (only if you turn it in completed) then this class isn't for you. I made a solid A (with extra credit) and never opened the text book. Shes super interesting!

Be prepared for pop quizzes and class participation. She gives you only 3 absences. One paper, do it I got a 100%. 3 tests including the final. She gives you everything in order to get a A. She is a lawyer and she makes you know that. Very sweet and good teacher. I know the constitution very well now. Take her she is great!

Great class but you wont like it if u dont like interraction. This class is all about class performance I had 66 and 62 in the first tests ended up having an A coz oh her extra credits.

I've never seen anybody with so much passion and ability to inspire! She's nice, funny, and knowledgeable. The extra credit is awesome--you can do fun, short assignments to add up to 20 points to each EXAM (there are 4). We took a really good survey that grouped us into groups (you never had to meet outside of class). 6 page essay due at the end ;)

Best professor ever. She made Texas Government enjoyable. Come to class, complete your assignments on time and participate and you should do well in her class. She is tons of fun. Lots of interactive lessons to help cement what you are learning.

She offers extra credit, you will have to attend class to get some of them. 1 major paper that wasn't hard at all! All other assignments aren't hard either. She is generous in extra credit, and is clear about what she will test on. There is no guess work. She will tell you what is on the test. If you fail, it is your fault.

Dr. Hershenberg's teaching style is very different from most other professors. At first I hated it, but after some time I started to understand her. She is a little scatter-brained and unorganized but she makes the class fun and makes you get to know your fellow classmates. Amazing professor. I'm currently taking Govt 2306 and I can't help but wish she was the one teaching the class. The way she teaches will make you remember the material even long after. As long as you show to class, read and do the hw, you'll pass. She also offers extra credits.

Best professor ever! She makes Government fun. She's sweet, hilarious, and passionate. Tests (3 of them) are hard, but 2nd test is open note and you have up to 60 points of extra credit plus a research paper and campaign presentation. As long as you do the extra credit and do well on paper and pres., you'll get an easy A even if you bomb the tests.

This professor gives a lot of extra credit opportunities that can bump up your grade. This class consists of lectures, group activities, textbook reading, participation, and attendance. She heavily emphasizes that the daily work is counted more than major work (e.g., tests and paper).

Makes an effort to ensure you do well in her class. For major assignments she is broad in her criteria. She's pro-creativity so I would not say she is a hard grader. Not turning in one daily assignment kept me from getting an A in her class . I'm big on lectures so I was a little disappointed that she does not lecture as much as your typical prof

Hershenberg is by far my favorite professor at Collin so far. She's committed to ensuring you're equipped to do your best, knows her stuff, and makes the course engaging and current. It's not an easy-peasy class, but that's what made my time in the course so great. I learned a lot and it's because Professor Hershenberg takes the extra effort.

She is such a passionate teacher! If you're looking for a teacher that will make you feel more energetic about a subject you don't like, take her. She gives 60 extra credit points (20 per exam), and has lots of room for you to make an A. However, you do need to really read and study a lot to get a good grade on tests without those extra points.

Phenomenal professor! Took her for Intro to Political Science. Very passionate about the subject and always energetic. You will be EXPECTED to speak and participate. She wants everyone to do extraordinarily well, just be prepared to put in the effort. She's also a lawyer and the pre-law advisor, so take her if you're interested in law school.

Second time in her class, first took her govt. 2305. She is amazing. There is a lot of work & reading, be prepared for each class. It was a difficult class, but also very fun & gives you a chance to interact with classmates. It really opens your mind & gets you thinking. I will take this class with me onward, it really has helped with other classes

Ms. Hershenberg is the best! She's peppy and makes class fun. She never lectures the whole class, but will have us do group activities. We had class in the court room and got to do a couple amateur mock trials! 3 pop quizzes, 3 exams, and a presentation with essay. A couple super easy homework assignments and a short paper. Lot of extra credit.

She has TONS of extra credit opportunities so don't worry if you do badly on her tests. The exams are challenging, but easily passable if you put even a little time in to study. Awesome professor.

I have thoroughly enjoyed taking classes from Professor Hershenberg. I took Federal Government from her last semester and I'm currently in her Political Science class that focuses on the Holocaust. She will make you work hard but she really cares about her students and wants them to succeed. She is hands down the best professor I've had!

Took online for fall semester. Was very clear how to do assignments and what material would be covered on the tests. 1 discussion 1 quiz and 1 chapter reading a week with a few exams throughout the semester. Fair grader. Overall great professor, highly recommend.

One of if not THE best prof I've ever had. I felt respected in her class and received an amazing quality of education. She is a very positive person with very clear standards for all assignments/tests. Tests really aren't that hard, just listen in class and read the book. She puts students into groups though which can be rough if you're with duds.

Professor Hershenberg is amazing! I was in her Honors Holocaust class, and it was an incredibly enlightening experience. If you have the opportunity to take her honors class, I highly recommend it. We had to read a lot, but the content was well worth it.

She goes beyond being a professor by trying to engage students--scientifically as well, e.g. asking the students about recent political etc. events and having students participate in projects that promote the highest level of learning: creativity. I was confused about the flow during some classes, but it was still a good class :)

The teacher was a really nice one, she's understanding and you really just have to talk to her. Communication matters in this class. Also as soon as u have access to Pearson revel finishhhhh itttt. It will help your grade alotttt. Take advantage of being in this class, learn about your government and who really runs it. Overall, she's awesome sauce

She's the most personable professor I've ever had, even though I've taken both classes online. There aren't any tests or quizzes, so prepare to write many papers and discussion posts. The Pearson textbook and homework are easy to digest.

My god, I love this professor. She makes government so much fun! I messed up and took an 8-week class, so the information was VERY compact and rushed, but she did a great job helping us get through it, lol. Very good with feedback too! Just take her. You will NOT regret it.
