Let me start by saying this is an easy class, tests aren't bad, but there are surprise quizzes and assignments which are a little time consuming. Ms Lantrip can be pretty cool, but can also be condescending and a little rude. She is a lawyer an acts like one(that isn't a compliment). she is very sweet. you do have to study but her test are pretty straight forward. she did give a very difficult assingment,but she doesnt grade hard.

Tests are straightforward, weekly assignments that were about U.S. Gov't., and it was a Texas Gov't. class. Weekly quizzes. She is helpful but occassionally makes you feel stupid. She does come across as condescending and fake. Overall, you do learn a lot and the class is fairly easy if you are willing to put in the time it takes.

She is a wonderful teacher who is always willing to help if you just ask. Fairly easy tests as long as you showed up for class and took notes. This is especially important because she will discuss current events in class and put them on the test. It is a wonderful and easy class as long as you show up.

She is WAY too excited about government. She teaches the class like it's kindergarten, always making you group up and do stupid projects. She forces you to express your political views in class which I'm pretty sure is a violation of privacy and really sucks when you're pretty much the only one in class w/ those views. Would't reccommend her class.

Took her class online, it was not hard but was not easy. I got a B in the class but did not study or put real time and effort into it. I did learn some things about government and it helped to prepare me for Govt 2306. She did respond quickly to my email and tried to help me. I would recommend her.

Not too bad of an online class. The quizzes are pretty hard. Not because of content, but because of tricky worded questions. Also, there are lots of assignments and discussion board posts to do, which get pretty annoying. But ok, due to the fact she drops 1 test, and 3 quizzes. Overall its better than having to show up for a on-campus class.

I took both Govt. classes with her, and she is an awesome teacher. She's not incredibly easy, but if you at least try, you'll get a good grade. Attending class is a must because she covers a lot between the classes, but it's worth it. She only drops 1 assignment, and you have to be in class to turn it in, but the assignments were fairly easy.

Very Good Teacher, she is passionate, timely and respectful. Not an easy A, her notes/lectures are good. You must spend time with the material. Assignments are time consuming, lots of papers and discussion boards, requires all work to be posted to turnitin.com (free)kinda of a pain, but very helpful. I took this class online and let me just say this, SHE IS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT! you better know what your doing because if you do not then you are gonna have a hard time on her exams. You don't have a choice, you must read the chapters! If you don't then good luck. she makes the questions difficult.

Took this class online. She was helpful, sent out emails every week of what needed to be done. Her reviews were extremely helpful. Yes you have to read the chapters, why wouldn't you? The chapters are about 30pgs long and are boring but if you work hard, it's an easy A.

I recommend her to anyone that has to take government. Her tests are a little hard, but if come to class everyday it definitley matters and she does not have any problems of helping you out with the exam reviews.

Good things first. She is extremely helpful and takes the time to explain all the basics to the subject. Extra credit is available along with bonus questions on the multiple choice tests. The only thing I didn't like was her style of teaching, she enjoys getting the classroom involved and getting peoples opinions. All in all-I would recommend.

I highly recommend this teacher for Government. I have very little interest in this subject, but she manages to make the subject more fun and at the same time teaches why it is important to me in the real world. Fun class. Not hard.

Lots of busy work. Does not help with notes if you miss any days so attendance is crucial to pass tests. Knows her stuff and is passionate about Government but not an easy class to take if you don't like lots of busy work and in-class assignments.

Alot to do for her online class. Not the easiest class I have taken. Make sure that you turn everything in very early because if not your screwed.

He online class is not easy. You have to turn in you assignment into 2 different places, if you foget to turn it in on one of the website s and not the other you will get a 0 even though you may have uploaded it already to one of the aites.

She made TX Govt fun and interesting. Definitely go to class because there are a bunch of in class assignments. I will take her again for US Govt.

Great teacher. She really knows about government and how to get you interested and involved. I liked the class because it was not all bookwork, lots of current events. Keep up with assignments and this class is not hard.

Govt bores me but this class was interesting. Good teacher. Helpful, responds fast. Did online class. Will need book. 4 units, 3 Lessons per unit, test for each lesson, 1 unit test that covers all lesson's in unit. 1 Discussion post, 2 discussion response post for each unit. Read chapters, read her handout notes, watch links and you should pass.

Online class is pretty easy. She did a great job in her lecture notes.

The professor is very, very excited to teach. She has a personal interest in the field and is kept up-to-date with the current events. She is goes into depth to try to explain the minor differences in different areas and tries hard to make sure the topic is understood.

No text book. Notes are copied from pp. There are a couple projects, but you can just do a current event. She gives grades for little in class asignments, so that's one reason it is good to go to class. Overall it was a pretty easy class.

Attendance, book and studying is a MUST. She is very passionate about what she teaches. She helps you and is willing to work with you. Loved her, it was pretty easy just don't slack off! Definitely recommend her

Her quizzes are pretty easy as long as you read the review summary for each quiz and use the book for the vocab words you should pass. THE TESTS ARE HARD, or so I thought. They're mostly true/false. Two discussion boards and 5+ points extra credit at the end if you choose to do it. She's nice and responds to emails quickly.

She is very good instructor. I took her online class, and you have to be self driven. Her class is not a easy class but as long as you read the material and do the lessons you will do great. There are about 13 quizzes and 4 exams that include the final.

Her online lectures are super, very interesting. You have to read the book for the tests but the lectures are good for the tests, too. If you put forth the effort, you can get an A. I would take this professor again.

Instructor is very open about what you need to do to achieve a good grade. Information was clear and concise. Would definitely recommend again. No opportunity to review answers after quizzes or tests which was challenging but still a great online summer course. Definitely take this course if you need this credit!

Loved this prof. She had so much energy. She made learning tx govt fun. I'm so glad I got her. I'm an older student, she was willing to help and go the extra mile to make sure I knew how to "turn it in .com" She was very excited about you learning. If you go to class and take good notes you will get an A. And there is extra credit every week.

I really enjoyed this teachers style of instruction. It was a low key class over the summer and she gave a couple of resets on quizzes if something happened (unlike some instructors).. I was kind of worried after reading the reviews before I registered for this class. Ms. Lantrip is very straight forward and gives you plenty time to complete assignments. She is open to emails which she replies back to quickly. I didn't want to sit through a two hour summer class that I wasn't interested in. Overall not a bad class.

I took this class online during the summer. It is a very easy class and she is very helpful! She drops 1 of 4 tests and 3 of 12 quizzes. She also grades test on a curve! She is a tough grader on the 1 discussion board. But all in all this class was an easy A!

Took the 6 week summer course and I was really worried at first but ended up not being as hard as I thought. The quizzes are mostly about definitions so study them and a few true/false questions. Tests are much harder. She gives you all the info you need to new in her review sheets.

I'm not much of a history person, but she's my favorite professor I've had out of the four history classes total that I've taken. Assignments in class are mostly participating grades, and there are around four tests over the semester. She's easy to listen to and is always available to help! Reviews are exactly what will be on the test.

She is such a sweetheart! Nicest teacher I've ever had! She makes her lectures interesting and is very fun. Exams are based on lecture, don't bother buying the book. You will make a good grade if you take good notes on what she SAYS during lectures (hardly anything written on powerpoints) and study the notes before the test. Definitely recommend!

I LOVED her! She made government interesting! Prepare to take notes on what she SAYS! The powerpoints don't tell you anything! Her tests are EASY, if you pay attention. No need to really study either. DO NOT buy the textbook, waste of money! She always started class 5 minutes late, and we got out 10 minutes early! Which is a plus!

Great Professor. Lectures were easy to follow, but you must take good notes. Book not needed. Her tests are lecture based ,and provides reviews. She is very energetic and ALWAYS willing to help. Only way you would get an A is if you go to class take good notes and ask questions if you're not understanding. Learned a lot and would recommend her!

You take a quiz over material each week, so pay attention. She gives great summaries of the chapters, and extra resources. I would take her again.

Very easy A for a required Govt credit. Syllabus, directions and course layout are crystal clear. Three lessons per unit, four units total. Quiz for every lesson and exam for every unit. Drops 3 quizzes and 1 exam. Also extra credit quiz at the end. One current event discussion board and 2 responses. Easy but very informative class.

She was by far my FAVORITE teacher this semester. Ms. Lantrip is so passionate about her job (you can tell from her notes) she actually ended up making me passionate about politics as well. Don't overlook the notes she gives you, they're vital to passing the quizzes/exams. Amazing class!

Dr. Lantrip is the best. She doesn't assign much work, just lots to read. Her quizzes are short and simple. She's very understanding and gives you the time of day. She's very knowledgeable!

Lantrip is a nice teacher, however if you have other classes or a job or both, this is not the class you want to take because her class is a lot of reading and studying. I wouldn't take her no more. Worry about cheating than anything.

Her lecturers are awesome; she makes Texas government come alive. She uses Power Point presentations. 4 exams last one partially cumulative, multiple choice. Quizzes can be taken from anything she covers in class. 2 written assignments an issue & a proceeding. Used web site called Turn it In. In-class activities. Personal & professional.

Government is not my cup of tea. Going in i was really nervous about this class. Mrs, Lantrip is an excellent Instructor. She responds to emails in a timely manner and was very nice when I needed help. Very entertaining lesson notes, she has a good sense of humor. Would definitely take again .

Very enthusiastic about government, and presents it so you can be too. Encourages you to get involved as an American. After this class it sparked a bit of patriotism in me :) She really knows her stuff and will happily answer questions. Wish there was another class I could have taken from her. She uploads a review packet that has all the answers in it so it is very easy to pass. The discussion boards are a big pain! but everything else is easy!

Blended classes are amazing! gives the entire semester online with timed quizzes and online review. Emails back quick! hilarious! easy class long as you do the work on blended days. def worth taking again!

She is the Pre Law advisor so the theme of the class is law heavy. If you are interested in the legal system then this class is amazing!

I loved professor Lantrip! I had her for a blended government class so I only went once a week and I still learned a lot from her! Her notes are long but have all the information you need to ace her exams. She has fun days were you do like a "mock government" during class and it actually helps you understand all the powers, rules and ect. Love her

Her class is super easy! We do have a couple in class assignments that we do with a group, but its never a weekly thing. The majority of the time she just lectures, and typically lets us out 10-15 minutes early. She has in class quizzes that you take the class period before the test, also shes big on no phones, laptops... overall great!

Took the blended course option so classes met once a week and then she assigned reading from an e-book that she provides. Tests are fairly easy, just require some light studying. Final can count as a dropped test grade. Very good teacher, would definitely recommend her

NOT recommend for online course. Quiz: 20 mins for 10 questions. Exam: 35mins for 20 questions. You cannot copy question to google it. If you're a hardworking students, you will learn A LOT; otherwise, you cannot easily get an A.

Took a blended course and it was super easy, only essays no homework or exams, she goes over what she wants you to do on your essay and if you're not happy with your grade she'll let you redo it for a better grade, and essays aren't long ones either, highly recommend her she's super sweet and easy class to take

She is pretty laid back and doesn't give too much work, but is pretty strict on what she expects from you on her DB. She has a quiz due once a week and doesn't require a text book. Her Unit quizzes are tough but not too bad, you can get an easy B/A if you just pay attention.

I enjoyed my time with Professor Lantrip. She is an extremely hilarious person, and always utilizes past experiences to further our understanding of the content. Her class is fairly easy, and I would recommend to anyone.

She is one of the best Professors I've taken. I highly recommend taking her. She is reasonable, makes her online lectures really interesting and tries to go above and beyond the normal lecture to make it fun and humorous. I needed a few extensions on things due to tech issues & she completely understood and granted me extensions. Very nice as well.

I took Dr. Lantrip for dual credit fed govt my senior year of high school, and the class itself was pretty straightforward, although there was a lot of notes to read. It was fully online and it helped me save time and money.

Gives EC, drops 3 quizzes & 1 unit exam. Straightforward & accessible. It's time consuming because the unit notes are lengthy. If you read the notes & genuinely pay attention to what you're reading, you'll ace the class. She's very passionate about government and wants to help you. Professor Lantrip did an amazing job at tailoring the class for an online setting. Notes are clear and to the point. Unit exams are open note and very doable. Discussion boards do take a while but they go over very interesting topics. 4 units with 3 lessons each and 4 discussions. 3 lesson quizzes, 1 unit exam and 2 discussion boards dropped.

She is an amazing professor! You have to do two discussion boards (out of 4) or all 4 depending on if you're happy with your grade on them. She gives several quizzes but as long as you read the material you will be fine. I took this class in the summer and I'm so glad I did. She is super helpful and really wants you to do well. Dr. Lantrip was my first college professor ever, when I began her class I was dealing with having COVID, moving, and various other stressful things. She always gave me extensions when needed and always genuinely responded with kind and caring words. Many assignments are dropped and the class is weighted so one bad unit quiz won't kill your grade.

She's the best. Easy assignments, plenty of extra credit, drops your lowest scoring assignments, wonder feedback, the rubrics provided and easy grader. As long as you take the tests on time, and do half of your assignments you'll pass with an easy A.

Dr. Lantrip is amazing. She is so understanding of various situations the students may be in. She made the lessons fun and easy to read, and the tests are fairly straightforward if you read the lessons. Definitely would take her again.

I've had Dr. Lantrip multiple times now, she is always cooperative, caring, and tries to meet the student's needs or at least hear out their situation. She is there if anyone ever needs to talk, and her classes aren't easy, but she goes in depth when lecturing and makes it easy to understand the content. Her reviews are great!

I LOVED Professor Lantrip. When choosing government professors, it can be really hard to learn about the government when their biases get in the way. Professor Lantrip did a really good job of just teaching the facts about the government and did not push her own opinion down your throat. She really wants you to succeed and prepares you for exams.

Professor Lantrip was my favorite online professor! She was very understanding and caring with all her students. What I loved most was that she had personalized notes and lectures each week which helped me learn much more than a standard textbook. I would recommend everyone to take her!
