great teacher!

No need to show up for an A in this class....Everything is posted on the web just study those notes and you will get an A! Shes not to big on attendence. Class is super easy but there were times i wanted to gouge my eyes out i was so bored. If you want the grade take her!

She is a great teacher. Her tests are all multiple choice, no essay. She posts all her notes on WebCT. She tells you exactly what to study for each test. You learn a lot and it is very east to earn an A. Definitely recommend taking her!

Great teacher although there were some really immature students who tried to take advantage of her kindness. People like that are probably what will make her class a little more difficult for other students.

Dr. Lester was an awesome teacher! She is very helpful and teaches straight from a power point. She is easy to understand and she also gives study guides. She tells you what to expect on the tests and I find that very helpful.

Teaches straight from power point. Take notes and use study guides for an A. If she thinks you are taking advantage of her, she will take attendance by giving quizes. When students signed each other in on attendance, she got ticked and began the quizzes. Tests were straight from study guides.

She is a great teacher, if she didnt go over it in class it wont be on the test. She basically tells you the questions that will be on the test. This is really an easy A

She's a very good instructor, she expects you to come to class, if you do, you'll be rewarded, if you don't, expect to work extra hard on your own. She's very passionate about what she teaches and it shows in her teaching style. I really enjoyed her class.

GREAT professor! Show up for class and DONT miss the quizzes (which are over material she tells you to look over). She also gives study guides 1 week prior to test. Study those and you pass easy. Tests are easy! Multiple choice, T/F, and some fill in blank. Easy easy easy class to pass though. Thumbs up!

Great professor, a lot of energy, very enthusiastic. Highly recomend her. It is work, but she does everything she can do to help you get it.

Lester is energetic, funny and easy. Her lecture outlines are online and can be easily printed, test are multiple choice and she only make you read about 7-8 pages before the next class. Be sure to read because quizes are common. Overall great techer, would recommend to anyone.

Dr. Lester is awesome! Super energetic and knowledgeable and does her best to make the material interesting. Quizzes are common and book use is heavy but read and take notes in class and an A is easy!

Dr. Lester was very enthusiatic and very helpful with explanation during lecture. Her test came from the book and powerpoint slides. She gives random quizzes during the semester so attendance is a must. NEVER use your cell phone in class as this enrages her.

Online class was good. A lot of stuff posted that was helpful. Powerpoints, study questions, practice quizzes, videos, activities - they helped me better understand the text. She responds to emails quickly and was willing to meet in person to help me understand the material.

Exams are from the textbook and notes and usually cover 3-4 chapters. Yes it is work, but if you take advantage of all the resources provided you should do well. ask questions and take advantage of the extra help she has been willing to give as most online teachers don't help as much as she has. Ask questions, she answers them and is helpful.

Her online class is hard, but she is willing to help as much as she possibly can. I really enjoyed her as a teacher and would take her again!

She has a great personality! Her test are hard and if you dont study for them, you will fail. Probably should read the chapters before each test and do online practice quizzes. Her class is hard.

Got an A in the online class. There are plenty of materials (notes, videos, activities) put online to help. You just have to do the work and not expect other people to do it for you. Practice quiz and study questions were similar to those on the exam. Very quick to respond to emails and posts on the discussion board. Also very helpful.

She is very nice and knows what she's talking about, unlike some professors...her class is very hard though, but if you study the chapters as expected, you should do fine. You're given a long time to complete your homework so there's little stress involved with this class. Highly recommended. My favorite class this year.

Took her online. It's a lot of material but if you do the work (which I skimped on) you'll be fine. Never opened the book and made a C+. Online is always going to be harder since you have to motivate yourself, anyone who says different is an idiot. Online is convenient. Lester responds to emails in a timely manner and is helpful.

Her class is a challenge, but interesting She uses Vista ALOT. Tests usually cover 3-4 chapters, and she doesn't tell you what exactly will be on the test. But read the chapters and powerpoints,do the online study questions, and the chapter quizzes in the book & you should do fine. Her powerpoint slides are anywhere from 50-100 slides per chapter!

Dr. Lester encourages students to ask her questions in the forums. Her power points are ~80 slides and will have everything you need to ace the tests. She is very approachable and keeps everyone in the loop and informed about the course. If you need Intro to Gov, take this class with Dr. Lester Online.

Makes learning about American Government interesting. She really breaks it down. Willing to stay after class to answer questions and help with how to study material. She is nice and helpful however the student has to study to pass.

American Government -ONLINE- she is Pretty heavy on the workload. TESTS were tough!!! This teacher seems very passionate, and I would imagine that she would be better in person. I noticed the questions were worded funny. She wasn't clear on which parts to study for the tests. The Study guides that were posted were pretty much worthless.

She was very tough, and the work load was a bit overwhelming at first. However, this is college, and you earn your grade. If you read the chapters, do hw problems, and study the lecture notes she posts then you'll do fine. She is also helpful if you don't understand something. You will learn a lot!

I have been taking a lot of online courses because I have small children. This semester I am taking 5, all online. Dr. Lester's class is by far the easiest of them all. I didn't even need the book. She gives a lesson through a few readings in the content then you quiz, a 10 question multiple choice. Other than that 3 exams and then the final. EASY!

Dr. Lester is a great professor. Her online course is very specific and informative. Her lectures aren't short-handed, but very detailed. She gives extra credit. Tests are straight from the lessons, but you have to know the material. Doesn't enjoy repeating herself so read the syllabus for questions about the course. overall-great.

I am not very good with Government at all. But this class was required. Dr. Lester sends out very detailed class reading material. Make sure you read that, your book and the easter eggs in the material and you will pass her class. Her tests come from the material.

This is a great online class to take you have 4 test and that is it, so make sure you do well on them. The test are multiple choice and the questions follow along with the practice quizzes that she gives.( optional to take)

Lester gives you around ten multiple choice quizzes but only five go toward your grade. There is also 4 test of 50 questions a piece. If you read and do your work you will pass. Easy A

I took a Hybrid American government class and so we only physically showed up to class once a week. On the first day we would have to read online or in the text and on the second day we would show up to class where she would lecture and clarify any confusions. I really liked Professor Lester, she is very understanding and helpful!

Extremely knowledgeable and helpful! She really has a passion for teaching and you can tell. YOU MUST READ YOUR BOOK TO PASS. Gives amazing and helpful lectures.

I took her online and her quizzes are super easy comes directly from slide show she provides, but her exams of 50 questions are hard so use quizlet and the textbook. No final exam recommend anyone to take her class online! Avoids the hassle of doing papers etc. should make easy A or B.

Easy teacher, just use quizlet and read and you'll do fine. Took her for a summer class and only had 4 test and she just took 3 of the highest grades and that would be your grade. The test are the same answers as the practice quizzes that she offers.

I took this class on eCore and she was really great. She clearly cares about government and enjoys what she does. I enjoyed myself in the class and she was a pretty easy grader as long as you did your work. she also dropped our lowest discussion post and quiz so that was really awesome. Almost all the answers are on Quizlet. Highly recommend

I took Dr. Lester's online intro to political science class this spring and she was by far the best online professor I have ever had. She always wrote back quickly and gave good feedback. Make sure to do your weekly reading assignments quiz and study the study guides she gives for the test and you will make a high A.

Overall a good professor! I took her second session summer class and it was okay. 4 tests, only 3 are counted as you grade. 50 questions in 50 minutes. If you read her material carefully, take notes, and use quizzlet you should be okay.

Very great online professor. Everything you have to turn is announced in the syllabus. You have a 5 question quiz due every week over a chapter. The workload is VERY manageable. I learned a lot in this class and would recommend anyone to take POLS 1101 with her. Great professor and great class!

I have professor Lester for two online classes this semester (Fall 2019), and she's awesome. Her lectures posted online are very thorough, and if you put in the work you'll get a good grade. She also posts updates online frequently which helps with keeping up with assignments. Great online teacher.

Took her for online intro to pols. All answers to tests and quizzes are online. 0 stress. Don't even think about it, just take the class :)

Dr. Lester's online lectures are very thorough, however the course is graded solely on lesson quizzes after every unit and a few tests. Plus, the lesson quizzes only have a few questions on them, so they can easily drop your overall grade in the class with a few mistakes. There is a textbook for the class but you don't have to read it to pass.

Online is very easy of course! Your grade is based on quizzes but are short and easy. She post very detailed pages on everything you will need to know for the quiz! Overall easy and stress free.

The course I took for her wasn't available on the course options on here. However, I highly recommend taking any of her course offerings. All her course content is very straight to the point. A stress-free class, while still actually learning!

You've got to read your units! You read your units, and stay on top of your work and you will pass. Tests are timed and there are many questions on each test. Make sure you study before you take the tests! Overall, I enjoyed Dr Lester's class!

Dr. Lester is very intelligent and knows her material well. Her class was not super difficult. Study the material and you will pass.

This class was not hard unless you didn't study. Pay close attention to the PowerPoints in the links and study the definition words. And no she doesn't give out extra credit if you looking for that type of Professor. Every week was an exam over all the material that you have read or on the PowerPoint. Put some work into it, you will be okay.

She gives incredibly clear and easy-to-understand lectures. She also offers study guides and practice questions to make studying easier. You'll have quizzes every week, sometimes every other week, and you'll have an exam after each unit.
