If you have any questions she'll help you without a doubt. She asks her students to send her drafts via e-mail so that she can give you feedback and trust me, it helps. Def. recommended! =

Julie is awesome! Others are right- she's a challenging grader but it's not as if she's averse to giving good grades. History is often a subject students put off till later to maintain other subjects. There arent many grades in her course. What you do you must do well to get an A. She lays eveything out for you. Shes also extremely cool

VERY knowledgable in her subject and will answer pretty much any question you have (and if she doesn't, she'll find the answer for you). She only lectures during class but her slides and stories aren't confusing at all and are very easy to follow. The textbook is VERY important as it is basically the answer key to all her exams.

No winning in an argument w/rancilio, always has to be right, expects you to be at a high level, Grades very harsh. 3 girls including a KCC staff member did not have great things to say about Rancilio. Shes nice but I highly suggest another professor. No midterm/final study guide just long vocab lists per chapter to help.

Rancilio is a great professor. Her lectures are interesting and are done in a hilarious fashion. The first 60% of the semester there is a TON of homework, but it's all pretty easy. The last 40% of the semester you'll do barely anything. Her quizzes & exams are OPEN NOTES, done at home. The writing HW she assigns will be graded strictly.

I think professor Julie is ok, but her homework is so hard and I dont know how she checks our paper, more like too harsh and strict. Dont take her class if you take more than 4 class for a semester.

Loved taking her class and participation was easy. Professor Rancillio is very understanding and encourages communication. I took her summer class and found it pretty easy, I skimmed the reading and watched the video and passed pretty easily. She has extra credit easter eggs that are always fun!

The pacing was doable (ACCELERATED) and what's expected of you is clear. Her grading is fair and she offers extremely helpful criticism. Don't expect it to be an easy A. She offers WEEKLY extra credit in a form of easter eggs which is worth an extra 2% if you do them all. Overall, great teacher, would recommend and don't be afraid to ask for help!

Professor Rancilio is a great professor and if youre looking for a history teacher, she is one to look for! The online class had a organized system on Laulima with her lectures. She does offer extra credit (if you can find them!). She occasionally had Kahoot and different activities that made the class interesting.

If I had taken this class my 1st semester, I probably would have dropped out. Very tough grader. No study guides. She does respond quickly to emails which is great. I learned to get things done in her class and expect a lot of criticism.

I took Miss Rancilio's Dual Credit course and she is one of my favorite professors. She really cares about her students and is willing to help. She answers emails quickly and provides a lot of feedback. She is tough on her grading but gives opportunities for revisions. I 100% would take her class again!

Grades very harshly. Only 14 students in my course passed with a B/C, the other 13 failed. We had to write a 2-paragraph post and I got points docked off for using evidence from the article she gave us to base our work off of?? Also, she grades assignments very slow; I only received my grades from week 3-6 work at the end of the semester.

Personally, I found this class manageable. Yes, Professor Rancilio is a tough grader, but you really just have to read through the syllabus and writing guides. There were not many discussions, although this class is mostly focused on writing. Additionally, she offers extra credit as well. My only issue was the late feedback and grading.

VERY short advice: If you value your sanity, grade, time, and even self respect. Don't take Rancilio's class. I have much worse things to say but will not include. Word count on Ratemyprofessor isn't enough to explain how awful this class has been because of her.
