Trigonometry was a subject that I always wanted to take, but once I entered the class I wanted out lol. It was hard for me to understand certain material at first but I must say she taught it in a way that made me understand. She's very helpful and and clear. She is truly awesome! If you are an engineering major or even if you do not like math still TAKE HER!!! She will help you understand and build a strong foundation of knowledge in math. She is a really helpful and understanding teacher. Tests are free response with a extra credit question; we can use ti-84 calculators. We had two extra credit assignments too. If she fits your schedule, then you should definitely take her.

Professor Carl is a great math teacher! I struggle in understanding math, but she was good at explaining, and being patient. She offered lots of help anything you needed for help really. The only thing negative about the class which is because of the school board not her, is aleks. Too time consuming for something not focused in what we're doing.

She's a very helpful professor she really goes into the material and allows you to stay after if extra help is needed. She offers extra credit, the test is everything that is on the review, and textbook is a must if you want to pass( because of homework).

She gives homework that is not required but you NEED to do it to practice for the tests (5 including the final) she goes over any questions you have about the homework have the next day. One of the BEST professors I've ever had for math. Her class is based on 4 test grades and a cumulative final, but you should have no problem passing with at least a C on her tests. Try reading the lesson you go over in class from the book, it helps you better understand and retain the material. Also, do the hw even though she doesn't grade it.

Incredibly easy lectures. She reviews the homework at the beginning of class. Her grading is based only on the exams and you have to show work (no multiple choice). She does give you points even if you missed the answer. She cares about the material and is always willing to help out. Great professor but know that you'll have to put in the work.

I have always struggled with math & algebra but I have finally learned it. Professor Carl is incredible, she wants you to know the process and she wants you to be excited about math like she is. She makes it fun and basically foolproof. Just be honest and willing to learn. She will help! Scared to take college algebra without her but feeling ready.

Great explainer and is caring. 3 quizzes and 3 tests. Extra credit was given on two quizzes/tests and even on the final. She brought scantrons for the class for the final (did the same when I was in MAT1033). She brings the textbook so you could take pictures of the homework if you do it. ALEKS NOT USED. Take all of the math courses she teaches!

Best math professor I've had at BC. She is very clear, gives you enough theory to understand what you're doing and then gives you specific examples, she makes you work enough to understand and cover the whole topic. She avoids unnecessary work which hardly any professor does. She's amazing!

Very caring and understanding. Grade was based on Mymathlab the final and i think 3 or 4 test (cant remember exact amount). However If you do bad on the tests it is hard to bring up grade since they do weigh a lot.

I was nervous about taking Pre-Calc for the term because I heard it wasn't easy, it was easy so on and so forth. When the semester started, I liked the way she taught making it easy to understand the topic at hand. She'll email you on the same day I believe (at least what I remember) if not she would ask in class or the next day. The tests are okie

Great teacher; study for the tests because they are worth 50% of your overall grade.

The class has 15 units with 2-3 assignments each. Make sure you study and do well on the tests because the tests are worth 60%, the final 20%, and homework 20%. Try to get 100's on the homework because you can do it as many times as you want until the due date. No extra credit and doesn't take test grades off, but will extend due dates sometimes.

She is an amazing professor who truly cares about her students' success. When asked questions, she always answers joyfully and makes sure everyone understands. Tests and the final are 80% of the grade and homework and quizzes are each 10%. The quizzes are taken online and she always reviews the class before the test. Best calc professor at BC.

Dont look for other professors, if you want someone who cares, helps you out, is patient, understands youre not a math genius (like me). TAKE HER!!!! Last time I took a math credit before her was 6 years ago, she helped me freshen my math and stay on track in calculus. DO IT, JUST DO IT!

One of the best math professors I've had - she really cares about students' success. Tests are tough but she provides great review sessions. unstuck ai was a huge help for study prep too.

One of the best professors I've ever had!!! The lectures are very helpful and she makes sure you understand everything. Very easy to access during office hours and very helpful. Gives you multiple chances to submit assignments after the due date has passed. Definitely take her if you have the choice!!

This professor is literally amazing. This was her first time teaching the combined class of pre cal and trig. This class was super fast paced, some of the math is hard but it is a combined class. Lectures are understandable. She gives partial credit on her tests so as long as you attempt a question you will get points. TAKE HER FOR ANY MATH CLASS.

She's very fair and she drops 2 quizzes and five homework assignments, she also extends homework if you ask her too. She's very understanding and a great teacher. I would 100% recommend her. She loves what she does and she has a passion for it. She makes hard concepts understandable. 10/10.

Professor Carl was the best math professor I've ever had. Lectures were very organized with a clean flow throughout the course. Homework is on My Math Lab and provides unlimited attempts on each question. Tests/Quizzes are written, she does test reviews before Tests and gives partial credit on questions. She is incredible and wants you to succeed.

She is the best ever! Always responds to emails in time. You can stay after class to ask her stuff. The Final was a bit too much but the other quizes and homework did not let my grade fall. Take her!!

This professor is amazing, I was never good at math but she explains everything clearly and teaches and tries he best to make sure every student understands, homework due by the end of the day of the next class but it's easy and helps you learn, tests have clear criteria and she grades very kindly take this professor you will not regret it

I took Precalculus, Trigonometry, and Calculus with her, and I can bet you couldn't find a better teacher than her. She makes the difficult seem simple, is excellent at teaching, and always enters the classroom with incredible energy.

Amazing Professor! I am not great at math at all but she took her time to explain and offer help during her open hours. Just do the homework and use ASC as an added help.

College Algebra hated me. I almost didn't pass that class. Yet, with Trigonometry, Professor Carl explained the concepts extremely well. It was easy to get assistance during her office hours. She is quite reliable and responds to emails within a good time frame. Her pre-exam reviews are through as well. Cannot wait to take another of her classes.

I love her so much! I took her for Calc 1 and 2. She gives great lectures and is even better in office hours. Her HWs may seem like a lot but they are very useful.
