This is the best teacher you can take for accounting. I think this is the only accountant teacher at the North campus that I would recommend. He is so smart and makes accounting very easy and interesting. You will love his class and he has really inspired me to become an accountant. Great reviews for test.

excellent prof. i was worried about taking accting but he teaches it very clearly. he is concerned about how you do in the class & he always available whether its in the lab or in his office. his #1 rule is to read so be ready to read alot. if you do the hw you'll be ready for the tests. the 1st class i actually paid attention and did the work.

I love this Guy. his will make u feel comfortable enough that u won't be afaired to ask questions. In this class, e gives you all hw in the begining of the semester, so you wil have more than enough time complete it. YOU WILL LEARN in this class.i'm looking forward to taking him for accounting.

All around great teacher. He's funny, clear, extremely fair, cares and teaches great. There's no reason to get anything less than a B in his class especially since he provides ample amounts of extra credit and time to finish assignments.

Hes a very sweet person. he cares about the progress of the student. Very understanding all you have to do is study the section. He gives you the essay quesations so you can study those and just do your homework. There is ALWAYS room for extra credit.

Wonderful teacher. The material was definitely hard but he will help you as much as he can. Very understanding human being. One of the sweetest teachers in MDC. But you do got to READ, if not you'll be lost. I definitely recommend him.

Mr B is the BEST professor ever! He is more than a professor he is a mentor =] Dont think its an easy class because its not. He gives a lot of homework and you have to take notes but I A's on all the acg classes i took with him.

he's a great teacher and i really enjoyed taking this class with him. he's also a very nice man. always happy to help. the only thing that sucks about this class is that you have to do 15 lab hours (which is hard when you're taking 2 classes in a 6 week summer semester and have to work too.

Class was hard be sure to buy the textbook,because you know in some classes you dont need the textbook in this you will def. need the book. the best way to past the class will be by going to the lab every day! and finding a group to study with, and if you do the hw every class, you learn the material, most of all dnt be lazy

Bring book everyday and attend class everyday!!! It is possible to understand the material without going to class but if you are that self motivated by all means good luck. He answers all of your questions and is available during office hours for help. I gurantee if you pay attention in class you will pass with an A

I took Mr.B for a 6 week class. Make sure you don't miss and you have your book EVERYDAY. Just pay attention and youll pass with an A or B! It ain't easy but this professor makes it go by smoothly :)

I took three classes with him and he's the most caring prof you'll find in college and he actually teaches very well. I detest accounting so it was a task but luckily i partnered up with someone that helped me but I would def recommend him.

ok this guy knows his stuff. I actually understood the material being taught in the class and is more than willing to help out if something is misunderstood. Very good professor and even though his class is not easy he makes it so that you can pass with a good grade. If you really want to understand accounting, PLEASE take this guy.

He is a very good teacher for accounting, but you have to be able to keep up with him during lectures and do all your homework. I would not recommend him for a summer class though, he goes too fast, but during a regular 16-weeks, you'll learn a lot.

He is a great prof. He's helpful willing to work with you and offers little perks here and there, you must work for your grade though, I did not do so well but that was my own fault. He clearly goes over all his exams so you know whats coming. Very knowledgable and a sweet person. Def. listen to him regarding the exams he does not lie

This professor likes you to pay attention in class, be always early, and do the work. Tests are about what he does in class and HW, studying dep. on you. He will explain till u get it. If you are not willing to do the first three things I said, don't take him so u don't have to blame it on the teacher afterwards. I took him for both ACG and TAX

Great teacher, He loves teaching and you can tell, he tries his best to get you to understand and wont quit till you do, took him in a six week course and never missed class. I got an A, but that was tough. HW is barely worth any points towards your grade but understanding it and studying really help for his 4 heavily weighted exams

Best proffesor for accounting. Must take, lots of work but thats just the course. If you put from your part and want to learn, it is IMPOSSIBLE to fail. Really nice man and amazing teacher.

Awesome professor. The homework is easy with templates. Offers some extra credit. Tests are not easy, but he always tells exactly what is going to be on the tests. Dont be late, he will pick on you. He makes sure everybody understands the material. I really like this guy, very helpful.

He's a really good professor. But this is a hard class for me. I just need to have better study habits so I can get an A or B in ACG2071. Unfortunately I feel like he doesn't give enough points for homework. But he's very thorough when he goes over material in class. If you're going to take an Accounting course, you should take it with him.

THE PERFECT EXAMPLE OF A great teacher!! He helps you at all times and goes out of his way to meet with you, responds to all emails, and answers phone calls. The class was not easy, but with this professor, it was made easier than it really is. I had a D- and when Professor Borges started getting on my case and helping me at all costs, I got an A!!

First off his one of the most nicest people you'll meet in north. Now for grading, the vast amount of homework that is given and for it to be worth next to nothing in grading makes you wanna not do it. Test are the key element, if you fail one you'll be struggling the entire time your there to bring your grade up.

H/W are online but if you do with groups then it's easy to turn on time and also understand. He reviews before exams and gives multiple opportunities for extra credits.

Professor Borges is great. He is really smart and he really knows what he is doing. He pushes you to participate and do good in class. Works all the exam problems in class and tells you exactly what will be on the test. I got a B but I failed 3 exams and passed the final and make up exam. Definitely recommend him! Hes great!!

Mr. Borges is a caring man with a very calm demeanor. When it comes to online homework, he is understanding; he will reopen assignments if you ask him, and is just a phone call away if you need him. I had him MWF from 9:00-9:50. I suggest taking shorter classes so that you can better absorb information. Overall, he is the best hands down.

I failed a accounting class before and I can tell you, its NOT worth taking any other accounting teacher. This man hammers home the concepts, but on top of that makes his tests easier. Multiple choice is a god send for accounting. Cengage is the online work, which sucks terribly, that program is antihuman. You wont regret taking him, I promise.

His class wasn't hard Professor Borges helps you a lot. He sends homework on cengage, there's a midterm, final makeup opportunity and service learning extra credit. I went to the tutors on campus and they helped a lot.

Very enjoyable class. Gives tons of extra credit to cushion your grade. Half the tests are multiple choice which is really helpful. You can learn a lot from this course if you pay attention and put it work. I almost gave up hope on accounting before I took his class in the summer and ive taken him every chance I get, totally recommend him.

I took this class for summer term A, and it was very difficult for six weeks. A lot of LearnSmart assignments, group projects and 6 exams ( 30 questions + Bonus ) . Overall he is a good professor very wise, but has a temper. Don't get on his bad side. Be respectful always. He gives extra credit , Take advance of that.. you will need it.

One of the best professors Id so far. Very understanding and will offer opportunities to lift up your grade but be aware LOTS of online work and if you dont complete them you wont pass a single test. Besides that hes great and clear explanations. Dont hesitate to take him :)

Mr. B is an extraordinary professor. He is there for you and if you don't understand something he is willing to go over it again with you. Accounting is a difficult class because you have to prepare yourself before the class meeting and you have to retain a great amount of information. Overall, study hard and get that A.

Mr. B has a lot of experience in accounting. His lectures are great and very straightforward. There's four exams, which includes a final, and there's also an optional make-up exam to replace the lowest test grade. All of the homework is on Cengage. For each homework less you hand-write, he gives you five extra credit points.

After taking Mr. B for ACG 2021, I decided to take him again for ACG 2071. It was a great choice because his class is very straightforward and he cares about each of his students. Do well on your Cengage homeworks and you'll ace the exams because the problems are similar to those.

Prof. borges is a good teacher wouldve been nice to take him in person. Lectures were hard to sit through. Mainly graded on cengage HW & 4 tests one being a final. Gives Extra credit & makeup test opportunities. Hes nice but got a bit frustrated when it came to student participation on collaborate. Everything is pretty straight forward.

Gave out his personal number and always encourages us to contact him whenever if we need some help. The tests are timed and you need to know the material in order to finish in time. He is the best.

I had Mr.B for Fall 2020, and he was wonderful. Such an easy class, and is also caring. He provides his phone number if you need any help. He does his grading based on points, and also gives a list of the top 5 people with the highest grade. He also gives many extra credit opportunity. Impossible to fail this class.

Worth it

I love Mr. B's class. He's a really lovely caregiving person. He provides his number, so he's easy to reach. You have exams on Blackboard that aren't proctored quizzes and assignments on Connect. The assignments are a bit time-consuming, so don't procrastinate. You do have some assignments on Blackboard and group projects. Easy A class.

This was my second time having him and he's literally the best. Easy A class if you just complete the work. He's always offering extra credit opportunities so there's no way to fail. He's very caring and understanding and you can always text or email him and he'll answer quick.

Professor Borges was one of the best professor I've taken in Dade. Although I would hardly participate, his lectures were helpful and the exercises he assigned really helped strengthen my understanding of Accounting. We had four exams and lots of online assignments but they were easy if you read the textbook and paid attention in class.

If you actually want to learn he is the best, his accent is clear if you are taking it online you can go in person too if you are confused, his test and homework are online, not proctored (MDC LIVE). Pretty cool prof. he's a great professor, he just lectures a lot lol. the assignments were on Cengage and the exams weren't too difficult (non-proctored). he gives the exams during class time and you have to be logged into class. I recommend taking him!

Took 2 classes with Professor Borges and had a great experience. Homework is easy if you pay attention in class. Tests are not hard; he provides a mini study guide and conducts tests over Zoom during class time. He is very understanding and flexible if you reach out to him. He appreciates student interaction and gives points for participation.

He requires students to arrive 15 minutes early for attendance and keeps the class 30 minutes after the scheduled time (for a 3-hour lecture). He randomly calls on people and expects full attention, which can feel intense. However, his tests are fair and not too difficult. He's nice overall—just be ready to participate often.

I took professor Borges in spring and I truly enjoyed his class. He cares about his students and their success. His class was very easy. You'll get an A in you do all your assignments and participate in class. I do recommend you take him in-person. He's always accessible outside of class.
