the teacher's great. makes class interesting with all his funny little stories which is also related to the class. Tests can be easy if you take notes and know the concept. once again great and fun class to have.

I really like the laid back atmosphere of his class. Some of his comments could be misinterpreted if you're sensitive but he's really funny and adds points to most of the tests. He uses real examples to demonstrate his points which are usually really funny.

The class is awesome!! He is the funniest teacher with the most laidback class! He teaches out of the top of his head but knows what hes talking about. You need the book for some tests, the book is worth having either way though. His test questions are mostly from the notes. He will cancel class sometimes. He doesn't get angry, he just laughs.

Very easy class. Take good notes! We never use the textbook in class so don't bring it (if you buy one). He only goes over a few pages out of each chapter. Tests are avg of 20Qs. Which means even if you miss 2 or 3 problems, you're getting a B. He assigns a research paper but I took him for winter session so we didn't have to do it.

Farias is an OK teacher I guess if I had studied more I would have done better. He is quite helpful and most of the test qyestions come from his lectures so pay attention and go everyday. Hes hilarious! he reminds me of George Lopez!! and his stories keep the class laughing all the time! hes not hard at all...but doesnt mean he isnt helpfull or that u dont learn anything! he makes the class fun and educational! I would recommend him to everyone!

This class entails taking notes. 4 review, I read the parts of the book that correlated w/ the notes. No papers, just weekly tests that aren't hard as long as u do the aforementioned. He doesn't write all relevant info on the board so take note of all comments. My major dislike was that some students treated the class like a therapy session.

Mr. Farias was really cool, Psych can be a boring class, but he made it really fun. Just make sure you take good notes and read only the topics that you reviewed in class in the book and you'll be good to go. His tests were short but tricky, but if you studied your notes well then you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

He's a proffesor who knows his stuff, and would give you examples relating to the real world. Honestly I don't find him a hard teacher, but it comes to you wheather your a student who takes studying seriously and pay attention in class. I'm a girl and I thought all of his stories were downright hilarious, but it will vary for everyone. He is VERY EASY, I'm not sure how anyone could manage to not get As; pay attention, he pretty much tells you the answer to every question to every quiz. GREAT Prof!! Don't buy the book, I never used it. Tests are straight out of your notes. Don't miss class because you'll miss out on notes and he usually doesn't announce the test until the day before. No final exam. He tests on one chapter at a time. Great Professor! His class is really straight forward. Lectures in which note-taking is expected, and tests. From time to time he will show video clips, but its all lecture, which can sometimes be boring, but they are usually not because hes funny, interesting and gives a lot of examples that we can all relate to.

He is the best teacher! I had him in the summer, and the class went by so easy and fast. I barely studied for his tests. I ended the class with a B even though I didn't try! Power points, videos, and lots of notes. He explains it all though. And if you have questions, he will answer them all! Funny too!

I love this professor he has a unique way of teaching the material. It's all long lecture, but you can relate to them because he gives a lot of real life examples based on his troublemaking nephews. Professor Farias is such a good teacher, highly recommend. His lectures are interesting and he makes as interesting as he can. Straight forward, reading is somewhat essential just do the study guide and pay attention during the notes. You will never be bored in class. I was not intrested in this class and had to take it because its a pre-req.

Don't know why Farias isn't graded much higher because he definitely deserves it. Fun lectures keep you awake and interested, especially when he mixes in his past experiences. His lectures tend to be more R-rated than anything which is cool. He's laidback and cares for you if you decide to invest your time into his class thought he may not show it.

Grade is based mostly on tests, with a couple laughably easy papers (basically, video notes) that can boost your grade up a whole letter, AND you grade the tests in class so you get immediate feedback. Also is willing to work with you if things go south, but don't take him for a fool.

Farias is an amazing teacher. He relates stuff that has happened in his life to lessons in class and it is really helpful. He makes jokes a lot. If you get offended easily, do not take this class. cool teacher I had a 3 hour class thats why lectures were heavy. laid back teacher just take notes & watch videos my tests C average but I passed the class with an A cause of the papers. He doesn't even like the papers to be essays but straight to the point. Highkey boring but an easy A take it with a friend so if you miss you get the notes lol

He has no organized plan for the class, but his lectures are HILARIOUS. There are a few tests (I think 4) that will all be towards the end of the sem. bc of his messiness. There are a few 1 page essays for HW to write based on the videos he plays in class, but don't worry bc he doesn't read it. The last test and final were open book and take home!

His exams were a little difficult so you for sure have to study. Amazing man and definitely taught me things about psychology.

I liked that the class wasn't too exam-heavy; there are papers based on documentaries, self-assesment exercises, etc that balance out your grade. He didn't post any lectures for the online class I took, so be prepared to teach yourself the material that will be on the test. Overall, it was a decent class.

Profeees Farias was a pretty good professor. He lectures two times a week. He only gives about 4 test no too difficult. Assignments are not bad at all supper flexible about to turning in your assignments later then due date (if you let him know).

I loved this professor! He was understanding about missing the lectures because people have jobs, so he does post them and does not take attendance. You can email him if you want an extension on an assignment, BUT don't ask every time. His lectures are funny and his tests are easy. There are some writing assignments, but they are easy as well.

I took this professor for Psych 2, 5, & 8 he is a very good teacher. Some of his lectures are not going to be everyones cup of tea since he's very blunt. Be sure to get the book read it it helps a lot before taking exams there are about 4 papers being 1-2 pages about films we watch in class. I love this professor easy A.

He needs help posting his material on canvas. If there were mistakes, he extended the due date on his assignments. Read the book to understand the material especially for tests. There were 3 exams and two papers (fair). The final was confusing since he did not post one specific chapter that was on the exam. Three tries for a better grade (test).

Professor Farias was an excellent teacher, and definitely an easy class if you DO THE WORK. Offers opportunities for extra credit, but if you pay attention to the lecture and turn in your assignments, you're pretty much guaranteed an A. The tests aren't hard, and they don't count too much either so prioritize assignments. He has engaging lectures.

Professor Farias is my favorite professor and his class is very easy as long as you do the assignments and show up to his class, you will be guaranteed an automatic A, if not a good grade at least. He doesn't assign that many assignments and when he does, it is not hard. Show up to class and participate in his lectures, you will pass the class.
