She is a good teacher, very easy grading style, she wonttake off u marks just like that. If u can think that u can cope up with asian english, she is the best teacher for 2A. She will help you whenever you will ask, and sometimes she is really funny..

She's really easy and nice. I think she's the easiest teacher in De Anza's Physics Division. The final is a little bit hard, but the exams are easy. Her lab is sometimes not very clear, but that's ok. She's very open and glad to help students.

Hard to understand, should sit in the front row if you want to understand something. Quiz usually once a week and exams are 4 questions each. Very helpful outside of class. Majority of the class got C's or below in the exams. Uses Math 1B and 1C concepts

She is probably one of the easiest physics teachers at DA. Has a strong chinese accent, but knows the material and explains it very well! Exams and quizzes are usually very similar to homework problems, so not all too difficult.

If you can accept english which chinese accent, then take her. She's really easy as compare to other physics professors. Her quizzes are "almost" the same as homework problems and tests are mostly from the example in her lecture.

Very nice, helpful lady. However, make sure you are somewhat familiar with basic calculus concepts like derivatives and integrals because she uses them often. Test problems are all from the homework or lecture - no surprises at all. Take her class!

1st exam: 77pts 2ed exam: 85 Final exam: 58...=_= (I did study for it, but still, it's so freakin hard) Quizzes are almost the same as homework problems...I would recommend you guys to take her...but make sure you study really hard for her final exam.

Great teacher, extremely helpful if asked (stayed extra 3 hrs to help me). If you can't handle her, you won't be able to handle any other physics. English is not clear, but you'll get used to it. Tests are extremely easy (straight from homework - so do homework!). Got an A in 4A because of her!

She's good, always ready to help. She knows her stuffs real well. Her quiz is from the homework so you need to do your homework. Her final are tough so read. Her accent you can cope with.

Jiao's class was certainly not an easy ride. Her class isn't very interactive, and if you want to ask questions it's best to do it after class. You know..a lot of people don't like her, but I do. She is to the point and very nice if she knows you are trying your best. Just read, attend & study her lecture for the exams and you should do decent (meaning you should know your material). People rate professors according to easiness...I think that's bizarre. She really prepares you!

Great teacher! Very easy and helpful! Unlike some other physics teachers, she gives quizes and test problems similar to whatever she teaches in the class or the homeworks she assigns, so as long as you go to every of her class and do homeworks, you should be fine! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Jiao is very nice and approachable. Not easy though. I heard her 2A class is great but with 4A, you MUST do all the hw problem and attend lecture everday for a good grade. Compare to Mc Partland in bio. Fisher in chem. This teacher is really an angel. The first time at De Anza that i can enjoy the exam. She is great. Do her assignment,you will figure out what is important concept of the chapter. Then, an A is reachable.

This class wasn't easy at all. i did well on my second midterm but my first one wasn't as good as i had hoped. the quizzes were hard no matter how i studied. she says the tests are based off of the homework, but i've done all the hw and i've only seen 2 test problems resembling any of those problems. her accent is also a potential problem.

Lecture notes are similiar to textbook. However, you should pay attention, some of the stuff in the book is not covered by her and thus not needed on the test. Tests are like hw, quizzes are a bit tough. Just do the hw.

Generally a very nice and helpful teacher. She has an accent, but I could understand her. Attend the lectures because she covers what's important in each chapter. Reading the book is time-consuming and wordy. Her quizzes and mid-terms aren't easy, but they are extremely difficult either.

really nice. it sucks how she has to receive so much crap from the class just because of her accent. can be a little unclear sometimes but if youve taken math 1a, the concept should be fairly easy to grasp. easy exams and nice grader. gives random attendance checks for a 1% boost in grade everytime. sit in front of class and accent isnt a problem.

Nice teacher, taught well, but quizzes and tests were VERY hard. The syllabus stated that quizzes would be based on hw, but only about 25% of them actually were. Tests were incredible. She scared a lot of people into dropping with a test that had problems we had never seen before. 5 on physics AP = B- in this class...but probably a C in Newton

She's super clear and easy. I used to hate physics so much (I take it only because I need it). She's kind of boring, but she's clear in her lecture. I am getting an A in this class. (I can even deal with Newton's past exams easily with what Jiao has taught me)

Mrs. Jiao has amazing lectures, but be warned. She writes nearly everything on the board (her pronunciation isn't perfectly clear). Take and study notes from the class, work on the reasonable amount of practice problems she gives, and you will do well in the class.

Ok seriously people. Juming is not even that bad. Sure, sometimes it's hard to follow what she is saying, but more often than not her lectures are fine. She writes down everything you need to know and basically told us what was on both midterms. She'll help you if you go to office hours too. Lab is easy, lab final is open notebook. Not bad at all.

Didn't need test accommodation for the lab final at all. It wasn't bad. The lab isn't bad. Thanks to professor Jiao. I recommend her for any lab. She is the best.

She is pretty good professor especially for people who doesn't like read textbooks. Her lecture notes were clear, even you couldn't understand her explanation. READ her notes. Her quiz was easy, just HWs. Her exams were pretty easy because she only tested superficial theories. You even don't need to memorize formulas. I will take her again.

Complaints about the class being difficult are valid, but let's be realit's STEM physicsof course it's hard. Jiao's class was extremely reasonable. Exam questions were similar or same to homework, she offers EC, she rounds a few percent up if needed, she doesn't take off points for correct but improper solutions. Easiest A in 4A, I think.

You need to know calculus and basic trigonometry for this course. She is the easiest teacher for 4A. Easy grader. Strongly recommended if you are Chinese. Despite her English is not good, she does a good job explaining things you don't understand. 4 questions for each of the 2 exams (except final), usually 1 problem on each exam is from her pdf HW.

Despite what the other reviews are saying, her class was pretty easy. She looks for a specific way to solve the problems on quizzes and tests. I created an account just to say that she's not that bad. She makes mistakes sometimes but she is really sweet.
