I really enjoyed this online class! She is very helpful and taught me a lot in writing.

She might seem tough the first week of class or so, but as you get to know her class, it's pretty easy. She's an easy grader so it's not hard to get an A.

Dr. Gillam is a great teacher. She may seem like a tough teacher on the first day.........But it's not hard to get an A in her class, if you're devoted to do the work. Yea, there's a lot of assignments, but it doesn't take a lot of work to complete...

Simply tremendous, but this class is no cakewalk. If you are looking for something easy, look elsewhere. If you want to be a better writer and develop your ability to storycraft, this class is exactly what you are looking for.

I wouldn't say this class is hard, but it does take some time and effort. She is very helpful and answers all questions quickly. A fun professor to have and she makes the class interesting as well. If you are proficient in english she will help you advance, and if you are beginner she will bring you up to speed.

Definitely take this class! Professor G was very helpful and informative. She kept the class from taking a "theological" path, and kept it as a literature study. Very responsive to her on line class.

The online class requires some work but not ridiculous and it's not extremely difficult work. Just do what you're supposed to and by the due date and you'll be fine. The class is organized well so you know what's required fairly easily. The lectures are pretty thorough and she gives you an example of everything she expects of you. Great class!

June is a wonderful teacher! I took one of her online classes which consisted of readings and responses along with a couple essays. She is understand and very helpful. If you have to take an English class, take it with her!

Dr. J is an awesome teacher. her class is easy if you do all the work and follow deadline!!! tests, discussions, and projects are easy and no brain require if you have some bible knowledge! i don't think that the text books was much needed, as long as you have a bible to read from. its an easy online class just stay on track and READ ALL DIRECTION

Dr. J is an awesome prof! She is to the point, honest and simply re-states instructions if one does not follow completely. She is not overbearing, but complete in teaching. Even through huge (personal) difficulty this semester, she kept to her instructions and kept up with us, the class. Good luck in this new season of life, Dr. J!!

She is very halpful and fun. I really enjoyed this class and did not have a hard time at all. She gives some work but grades very easy. Do the work and get the points. The final is not bad at all. i totally recommend taking this class!

The Bible as Literature is a great course for anyone interested in looking at the Bible from a strictly literary view. The writing assignments were fun and not difficult. Easy, enjoyable class.

Please do not take this teacher if u r taking her online!!! This class is a REAL WORKLOAD!! Just do not waste your time and take another teacher! If you do take her, at least take it on campus, I guess she is more lenient there. This teacher is strict, hwk cant be turned in late(not even 1 min). Her tone is really rude and almost ironic!!!

I found this class to be very time consuming, however, I learned a lot from this instructor. The teacher was fair, just gave a lot of homework. Good class...just make sure you don't take too many other classes with it!

This was an internet Creative writing class. There is a lot of writing, but that is the whole point. This class will make you a better writer. You have to participate in online discussions. Awesome teacher.

Mrs. Gillam was a great instructor! She was kind of strict though. I'm glad to have had her as a teacher!

I regret taking this online class from the workload standpoint. I got an A but I had to work very hard to get it and I barely got 90%. The teacher is a nice old lady and she is helpful. At least the teacher was good even though the class was brutal. If you take this class, be prepared to do more writing than you've ever done before.

taking on-line class; yes course requires alot of reading and writing-if you want to sail through a class don't take this one, if you want to learn and grow beyond your box and realize your potential then do take this course-Professor Gillam interacts frequently with direction and encouragement I give her a hands down A+

Dr. Gillam made the class enjoyable. I was comfortable in the discussions, and had confidence when writing my essays. Although her expectations were high she remained open minded to comments and questions. I would definitely take another class with her.

She is so awesome. Very clear and understanding. There is a good amount of work and fun exercises. I saw a HUGE improvement in my writing within the first few weeks of taking her. I have also gained more knowledge about sentence structure and writing strategies. If you truly want to learn, take her. She wants you to succeed.

Great online class/teacher! Had no interest in Ancient Literuratue before this class. Assigns reading and a journal post every week. Easy grader if you do the assignment, always got 100%. Only one formal paper and final. Very friendly teacher and passionate about her subject! Take it!

I took this class online and the class overall is easy but she does assign A LOT of work so if your looking for an English class with little work then this is defiantly not the class for you. She does grade easy if you follow all her directions. I would recommend this class only if you know your going to stay on top of the work.

I think that Professor Gillam is a great teacher. She lays out her expectations pretty well. Sometimes it gets a little confusing with all of the different fonts and colors but it's usually pretty self-explanatory. She gives amazing feedback and is perfect for the student that wants to become a better writer. I recommend taking her.

Took her for ENG 1A, I see the perspective other students can have because she likes to lay out all of expectations and that can be overwhelming sometimes. I promise you this professor will greatly improve your writing skills, she gives great feedback and all the resources you need. If you put in the effort, and work with her you will succeed :)

This class was not easy for me but I am glad that it was a challengeing. I learned so much from Dr. Gillam, from the reading assignments, and from the writing. It helps to have a professor who is truly passionate about the subject she teaches because the help she gives you comes from a place of knowledge and sincerity. It's worth every challenge.

Professor Gillam is awesome. It is an English class so you have to read, and turn in weekly journals and 4 essay's for the semester. If you keep up with the readings, journals, and start your essay's timely you shouldn't have an issue in this class. She is very helpful, and gives great feedback promptly. I chose to enroll in this class because of the books chosen by the professor. The books focused on immigrants, slavery and a memoir of our choosing. Dr. Gillam is invested in her student's success and responds quickly to any questions. She clearly details the assignments, due dates & expectations. She makes the writing process accessible.

Dr.Gilliam was an amazing professor from what I've heard and from what i experienced last year. I have yet to see any reviews for this year, but if there is a time that she comes back to teach English 1B TAKE HERR. She does make you write a bit, and you definitely need a couple books for this class, but the good thing is that they're not Textbooks!
