Probably the BEST lit teacher EVER! She's fun and down to earth. We only had like 4 grades so you have to keep up. I highly recommend taking her. It's a really enjoyable class. She doesn't have her head up her ass like some of the rest.
She is an awesome, laid back professor. She really encourages free writing; make sure that you let your creativity flow and you'll do fine. She's a great lady.

Great teacher, fun class. She's very helpful when writing papers. She keeps the class interesting even though it is an English class.
very good teacher would recommend to anyone love her as a teacher
loved her helpful but challenging
Wonderful Teacher.... very helpful if you are ever confused and class is fun! I never want to miss class, one of the few classes that I look forward to going.... Strict attendance policy after 3 or 4 you drop a letter grade so you have to go to class.
Ms. Joyner is the greatest teacher ever!!! I mean I love her and her class to death! She expects you to participate in class though, so dont expect to go and be quite! Everyone has to speak. Also she has a strict attendance polic but trust me you will want to go!!!!
I didnt really enjoy her class. She was not very friendly to our class and graded extremely unfair. Proceed with caution into her class!!
She's really nice and wants to help you. I'd recommend her.
She is one of the best English teachers I've ever had. She gives you feedback on all your essays and she lets you revise them if you need to. She's a very nice person.
An amazing teacher. Seriously, take her. She takes her students' opinions and feelings into account. She listens and is always there to help you, whether or not you need help with papers or just life in general. I found her class truly fascinating. We read some really good books and if you come to class, the papers just fall into play. Great woman.
She's a really nice teacher. Class is kinda tough but just because the work is tedious. Great method of teaching; she makes you write just as much as the other classes but through only three or four major assignments so that was great. very clear on what she wanted. Some tedious work but i think shes better than the others. And shes got great****
I'm not really sure how I feel about Joyner. She is funny and cool, but she decides if she likes you or not the first minute of class, and if she doesn't like you... Life will be difficult. She is very strict on attendance and grading... Four papers in the semester... Most of it is more self directed though.
Ms. Joyner is amazing. She is by far the best teacher I have ever had. She is very kind and always does her best to help her students. She is a little strict on grading, but that is because she makes it very clear what she wants. Plus, there are opportunities to get regraded. A lot of work, but it goes by fast and projects usually link together.
EXCELLENT! Although I had to drop her class due to Mono causing me to miss too many days. She still did SO much to help me! Truly a great lady! Class work is challenging but most definitely do-able. Never excessive homework or busy work. Always has intriguing essay topics to write papers on and is interested in students Succeeding. The Greatest!
Loved it! I'm good at writing and she helped me improve a ton! VERY understanding! She relates to students and knows what we're dealing with. Don't bullcrap with her because she can see thru it. If you work hard, she will truly help you. Take this class!! It will really help you a lot.
I am not a big fan of English but she made it interesting. Her teaching techniques are different than any other teacher that I have had. She is really organized and lets you know when everything is due. If I ever needed help with my writing, she was there for me. I highly recommend this prof!! Just make sure you do all the work!
She's a great teacher. It's alot of writing but she lets you re-do them and she'll sit with you and help you fix it. She also plans meetings to make sure you know where you stand. There's alot of grades so it's easy to keep your grade up
Amazing teacher! Not your run-of-the-mill class. No real research papers, but you do write a lot and often. Focuses on the writing process more than the final product. Relaxed class and fun. She's great to talk to and always has your best interest in mind. Took her for 1101 and 1102, and look forward to having a class with her in the future!
Best professor I've had so far! Super nice and helpful with ANY questions. Work load is a big large but if you pay attention, you'll do fine. No cell phones. Really has sparked my interest in literature.
Ms Joyner is a fun and creative teacher that we was taught something new. the material she went over in class are things that you will use throughout your college career. Trust me I am the last person that wants to take an English class but this one was actually fun to take.
Had her for Eng 1101, and 1102. She is a great teacher extremly helpful, she is very thorough when explaining. I got a high B in her class, she lets you redo assignments which is a big PLUS! She is also very funny and keeps class very intersting.
Mrs. Joyner is funny and cool...as a person. She was not a good teacher to me. I tried my best to get her to explain stuff to me and all she could do was ask me more questions that confused me more. We had so much busy work. She grades super hard on the papers. She never tells you your grade either. A very unhelpful class.
Mrs.Joyner is a terrible teacher. She never explains assignments and gives you a ridiculous workload. You can put in as much hard work as possible and she deems you average. If you have HOPE or are trying to get it DO NOT TAKE HER!
Great teacher. Her class is far from easy, but if you put the effort in to it, it is possible to make an A. Her assignments require alot of thought. But some assignments seem useless to do. She is a great person and easy to talk to, but her class is truly challenging. As long as you do the work and go to office hours, you can pass the class.
DO NOT TAKE FROM HER!! She seemed like a cool teacher at first and had everyone in our class believing they were doing great... until we got our final grades. She gives lots of un necessary work and is does not explain anything well. Course was a waste of time in my opinion and i would have been much better off with another teacher.
She is THE most helpful, understanding professor I've had. Yes her assignments are a challenge, & it does require you to work, but it's college, isn't that what we're here for? She is so helpful, always willing to meet & clarify anything, & you get to redo all assignments. She's THE best teacher I've had, & you'll walk away actually learning.
Makes you think she is really cool and down to earth in the start of this mess of a class. If your point of view is different then hers she will hold a grudge. A lot of her comments sound extremely unintelligent. Her grading system came from outer space, dumb kids get A's and thinkers (actual English majors) are punished. Received a B.
Either she likes you or hates you in my opinion. I don't think she cared too much for me, and for no reason. Half the things she teaches is useless. Few assignments, but almost impossible to make an A on. Her grading is absolutely ridiculous and make no sense. I passed 1101 with flying colors, but this class killed my writing confidence. I made a B
She either hates you or she likes you. You cant use your laptop, phone, or ipod and if your a minute late you are marked absent. She has no sense of humor so she wont play around or anything, she just all serious.
She is a GREAT teacher. Yes she gives a lot of work but if you do the work as she gives it, it is very very helpful. She is willing to work with you to bring your grade up. The way she introduces topics is very interesting! Only class I truly look forward too and feel like the class has become friends! She didn't care for me either but shes FAIR!
There's a good amount of work and she never puts grades on anything and hands things back VERY late. We didn't get our first major assignment back until 2 weeks prior till the semester ends. Wouldn't reccomend her unless you just want to ride through without ever seeing your grades.
She assigns a lot of work, giving examples and walk-through's for every major assignment. Doesn't hand things back until about 2 weeks before the semester is over and grades papers extremely hard. leaving you little time to revise(if allowed).
I rated this professor because of my experience I had with her last semester. In my opinion, she makes class easier for those she likes more (opposite for those she didn't like). She would not look over my work before submission. I felt she was very hard to please and took off points for the tiniest things she didn't like.
This professor is great. It was a rough semester and she was very helpful and understanding. Do your work and go to class. Don't procrastinate because assignments are difficult and there aren't many of them. Go to her for advice on assignments. Attendance is stringent and you have to pay attention in class. Ask questions! Great professor overall.
LOVE THIS CHICK
Mrs. Joyner is amazing. You must do the work in her class & she does hand out things sorta late but you are allowed 3 absences & she goes through all the assignments thoroughly beforehand.
I had Mrs. Joyner during EIP and I thought she was an amazing teacher. She was very helpful and has a good sense of humor. She has been my all time favorite professor. She is willing to help you as long as you prove it to her that you want it. I think she is quite fair.
I love Professor Joyner! She really challenged my way of thinking and taught me a lot more than I thought I would learn going into the course. She expects you to completely assignments fully but does allow you to revise everything at the end of the semester. She makes herself avaiable when you need it and will work with you on deadlines
Avoid at will. You do not find out your grade until the very end when it's too late. She gives very little feedback and just overall she teaches you information but you end up with a bad grade regardless. Never ever done bad in an English class, even took AP lang and ended up with a C in here.
I literally hate her. If you enjoy having the slightest clue as to what's going on at any point in the class, do not take this teacher
This class sucked. The attendance policy was not stressed but resulted in 10 points off of your final grade after your third absence. Class was very boring and included a lot of unnecessary and difficult assignments. DO NOT Take her class. Is a hard grader as well.
I love Ms. Joyner! Had her for EIP for 1101 and now have her again for 1102. Although that it is true that its hard to understand exactly what she wants, she gives you plenty of help in understanding the projects she gives. She has peer reviews, office hours to discuss your work, and will answer all questions until assignments are understood.
I took her for English 1102. She is very unhelpful even though she is always available. Your grade can also drop from an A to an F in a matter of weeks and you wouldn't even know until the final. She takes off a letter grade every time you're absent after the first two missed classes. All in all I would never take this class again.
The course it not at all hard in terms of workload. However, she is very random at grading, though loves rubrics. Very difficult to understand what is being asked. Not a very structured class. I got an A, but many classmates received much less. One paper builds the whole semester, and all other papers are modified from that one so less writing
Dont take class
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS shes so confusing doesnt give clarified help and is different on how she grades than what she gives instructions
She grades extremely hard. The class is not structured and she's very unorganized. She's not clear at all in what she wants for the assignment. She doesn't give you credit for your hard work and effort you put into the class. In my class, majority failed the biggest assignment, because she did not prepareteach efficiently. I would't recommend her.
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. She doesn't clarify her assignments. She says she's available in her office hours but if you go she is absolutely no help, she'll just confuse you more. Her grading scale is absolutely ridiculous and never matches up to what she asks for on the rubric. If she doesn't like your email, she just won't respond.
I CANNOT EMPHASIZE ENOUGH TO NOT EVER TAKE THIS CLASS. Im telling you now all these "good" ratings are false. She is an impossible grader, has completely unreasonable expectations, makes assignments due but doesn't tell you, will give zeros on whole assignments for small, common errors, doesn't give any feedback on papers, etc.
If you value your GPA, DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. Professor Joyner is nice, however her grading is super tough. I did not make higher than a C on anything in her class and barely passed (I passed ENGL 1101 with an A). She does not stick to her rubric whatsoever and does NOT give you any feedback on your papers. Your whole grade relies on 5 assignments
As someone who has always done pretty well with English classes (I received an A for 1101), I would not recommend taking Professor Joyner for 1102. She is definitely a tough grader for every assignment, I remember failing more than one reflection letter (which I didn't really know was possible - they were based on my own thoughts).
Joyner was very tough. She does not explain her reasoning behind her grading and is unwilling to answer questions. She is kind of rude and sarcastic and she will talk down to you if you ask for help. AVOID.
Do Not take this class. By far the worst teacher I've ever had in college.
I took this for 1101 expecting it to be an easy class. I was in honors english in high school so I consider myself pretty good at english. After receiving the grade back from our first essay(after it took her a month to grade) I got the highest grade in my class and it was high B. She's a tough grader. Doesn't explain much. Avoid if possible
Along with any assignment, a cover letter has to be attached. This is your chance to show her why you made the choices you did as the author. Even though this is included in the grade, it's like she doesn't take this into consideration.
Professor Joyner is an amazing teacher. Although her class is a ton of work it helps you become a better writer. In ever rubric for every assignment, it is laid out clearly what you must do in order to receive the grade you want. she is very clear in her reasoning and discussions if you participate and ask questions.
This class is tough. The assignments are hard, but she gives you plenty of time to complete them. She is a tough grader, but if you go to office hours, and ask for help outside of class, she will be there for you. Definitely go to class.
By far the worst english professor I've had the displeasure of taking. I put in the most effort for this class & it did not matter to her. She would tell me my rough drafts were good, then proceed to give me a C after I corrected my papers WITH her feedback. Only class I got a C in. The class itself isn't that hard, just AVOID Joyner by any means.
Class is optional but you don't get to make up for work that you missed.
By far the worst teacher at Georgia southern university
I have mixed feelings about Joyner, she is a great professor but she tends to give good feedback but grades very tough. I respected that she graded tough because it pushed me to become a better writer. Do not miss class!! This will hurt you and your grade. The homework and peer review are more important to your grade than you think. Hope this helps
She's a hard professor with a pretty difficult grading scale (it's pretty hard to get an A). We wrote three big papers, did a lot of drafts, editing, and peer reviews along with personal meetings with her. All our assignments were due on folio at 11:58pm, which wasn't terrible. Even our final, a letter to her about the class, was due online.
June Joyner was the WORST English teacher I have ever had. I thought my writing was good until I got in this class. She doesn't care about you or your well-being. I tried so hard in this class and she REASSURED me that I would have a B but she ended up giving me a C. IF you take this class, be prepared to have your intelligence insulted.
I honestly wouldn't take her again. She's not a bad teacher, you just gotta be ready to work
She was an okay professor. Honestly, she's a hard grader. Even though she'll give you feedback, once you apply it, there's still no difference in your grade. I wonder if anyone will get an A in this class.
Harsh. Lots of class discussions.
She is very good at meeting with you outside of class and replying to emails on time. She clearly cares and tries her hardest to help. However, I find a lot of the in class work to be useless. We spend way too much time in class discussing things that could be discussed in 5 minutes. Instructions are also often unclear.
I am typically a decent writer. Passed all my AP Lang and AP Lit exams with a 5. Do all my work and get high A's. I love writing. But she takes everything and throws it away. She is not clear with instructions and she gives horrible feedback. She doesn't post grades. I have put in more effort than anyone else in my class and still got a low B.
A lot of stuff we did was so irrelevant there was not really a structure to the class. A lot of pointless tasks plus she grades hard. My writing did not improve but it was an easy class
Attendance isn't required, but you need to understand the assignments given so that you can do well so it is best not to skip class. A tough grader, but is open to helping you as long as you show you care about your work. She is hands-on in class to make sure you understand the concepts required to complete your assignments.
she says attendance isn't needed but then tells you she'll drop your grade if you don't attend. she constantly makes you meet with her for nothing. Unless you become her friend in class, don't expect anything above a B.
I put more effort into this class than any of my others and I got nothing from it. The "textbook" was useless. Check folio constantly or you'll miss small assignments. She says it's okay if you have to miss class but DO NOT, you'll miss out on so much. None of the work really flows together. She never posts grades.
Joyner doesnt require attendance but if u miss class you miss something important. she grades really hard on papers (making you feel dumb). she doesnt explain things very well and always calls people out in class. i did learn some stuff in class but the majority of it was pointless.
Wouldnt recommend! She says attendance isn't required but gets upset if you do not show. She will make you take a syllabus quiz until you make a 100, if not you get two zeros. She grades harshly, assigns quite a lot of readings, and hates phones!! Try not to get on her bad side or you'll likely receive nothing greater than a 75 or 80!
I had never received lower than an A on a paper with other professors at gsu, yet I failed most of Joyner's assignments. She constantly would call students out in class and makes them feel stupid. She says attendance is not mandatory but if you miss a class she WILL hold it against you. This class destroyed my mental health and GPA.
June is THE WORST professor Ive ever taken. Was forced into her class due to freshman no longer making their own schedules. ZERO stars. Super unclear grading criteria on everything. Answers every email with no further instructions will be given. Absolutely TERRIBLE. Says that assignments are completely optional but then takes a grade for it.
If you have a choice, do NOT take this professor. No paper I ever wrote for her was good enough and I'm convinced the highest grade she'll give on a major assignment is an 85. Classwork was mostly discussions that didn't pertain to writing or English and homework was unnecessarily hefty. If you don't do ALL homework she won't accept the final draft
I liked her, just not the class or how it was organized. I liked when we did research in topics of our choosing a lot more than the super long academic articles on maps. She is super strict about attendance, so don't skip and she will not let you come in late at all. We were told to use the book, but never used it in class so I just didn't.
I would definitely recommend this class. All you have to do is complete the work on time and show up (even though she claims its not mandatory yet its very beneficial). She gives very good advice/help on papers as long as you seem interested as well. She does give a lot of work but its college not high school.
Listen, if you love yourself DO NOT TAKE CLASSES WITH JUNE. My girl is legit the HARDEST grading professor I've ever had. I'm not a poor writer and I enjoy it a lot when I don't feel like my professor is judging me for the GSU writing olympics. She gives students better grades if they go to her office hours even if they're illiterate. That's it thx
Can sometime be very unclear about what she wants. Very picky even if you do exactly what she wants. She also can be mean. I do not think she is horrible, but she is difficult and picky. Good luck.
June Joyner is a fine teacher. She wishes for every student to do well, and when you do well on assignments, you will know you have earned it. that being said; some of the aspects of the class are some of the most unnecessary things I have ever had to do. Who thinks of a dinner party when writing a paper? That's right, no one. but it can be done.
Joyner is not a fair grader. She cares more about making herself feel good by giving harsh grades than she cares about her students and their success. I have never made below and 83 on a paper in all my time at GSU, and I in fact am going to graduate becoming eligible to teach ELA this school year. This class is required, and she makes it terrible.
Joyner at first seemed like she would make this a difficult class to participate in, but as the semester went on and you become accustomed to her criteria its much easier to succeed in this class. There are multiple weekly assignments that are usually 1-3 paragraphs and sometimes less. Overall there are only three major assignments (essays).
Choosing to take Professor Joyner was the worst decision I've ever made. She makes it seem like the class will be simple, but gives at least 5 assignments a week and grades super hard. I have always been successful in every writing class, but almost failed every single paper for Joyner. She does email back fast, but makes you feel stupid. DONT TAKE
She takes this class very seriously and has you read A LOT of very long texts which take up a lot of time. She makes you talk and share in class so get ready to be called on on the spot. Shes a tough grader and also doesnt explain assignments very well. Also be ready to write A LOT of papers.
I LOVED her. She is so kind and cares so much about her students. I wish she could teach all of my classes. She always responds and will look over graded assignments before you turn it in. She let us revise a low grade for our final exam!
She's responsive to email and gives great feedback, however her feedback makes it seem like she is looking for your writings to be very explicit in meeting the criteria. She wants you to say exactly what is in the grading criteria and doesn't give you freedom to write creatively. This was supposed to be an easy class. It wasn't. Take someone else.
Slow Grader. Her tone isnt the nicest when you ask questions. She reads emails on folio but you probably wont get the response you were looking for. Grades discussion posts and locks them so you cant even go to see what you did wrong or ask why you got the grade. Quizzes & about 2 DP each week. You have to turn in full drafts for no credit.
Do not take this professor. She does not explain herself or her policies well. She requires ungraded work to be turned in for you to be "eligible" to turn in graded work, even if your graded assignments are more than adequate to pass her class. Very vindictive and will not consider any remedial work to try to make up for missed ungraded work.
do NOT take this class. she is the worst grader, isnt helpful and assigns way too much work with little time to complete them. she doesnt grade by the rubric she provides and if she disagrees with your opinion, she will make you feel stupid af. if you value your gpa do not take 1102 with june bc this class will RUIN it
HORRIBLE. Tried to tell me the World Health Organization was not a credible source because she disagreed with my opinion on my paper. Will randomly call on you to answer questions you just learned about in the lecture and will make you feel like an idiot if you don't know it. I wish i could fit more reasonings why, but I cant fit it in this box
A lot of the reviews on here seem incredibly inaccurate. In my experience, Professor Joyner is a very committed educator who helps you achieve your goals and grow as a student. You have to put effort into the class, but thats not a negative thing. She isnt unfair in any sense whatsoever.
Professor Joyner was great! I liked her so much Im actually taking her for another class. Shes extremely fair, lets you revise a paper at the end of the term for full credit, is always available to help, and leads great class discussions. I cant recommend her enough!
I don't think she's a terrible person or teacher. It just felt like some of her teachings were outdated and unnecessary. Her grading genuinely confused me too. I didn't understand how she was grading it because I felt as though I was following all of her directions just to end up with a failing grade on an assignment.
Joyner isn't clear on assignments and the prompts are vague then gets frustrated when no one follows the prompt. Claims attendance isn't mandatory but if you don't go, you will probably fail because she has in class assignments. She talks down to students and is a little backhanded. Not taking her again.
Not the nicest lady
Class is literally mandatory and she doesn't teach well at all don't recommend
Attendance was not mandatory, but in order to pass the class, you can't skip. She focuses heavily on participation and has talks with you if you miss too much. Very tough grader even if you meet all requirements. Organized class structure.
One of my least favorite professors. Doesn't answer questions, just restates your question and circles around it like a politician. Went to office hours several times to get feedback and make changes, did everything she did, and still received a terrible grade on several papers. Would never take again.
Genuinely the worst person I have ever met. I wish I was exaggerating. The positive reviews must have been written by her.
Good teacher overall, I enjoyed the class because of the open discussion and interaction with my classmates that she encouraged. The course was very organized and she had clear rubrics and directions. The grading wasn't as hard as I was expecting. I feel like I definitely learned things from this class and Joyner did a good job.
Very tough grader, and class is mandatory, which wouldn't be a problem if her lessons weren't horrible.
She has a very fun personality but she is not going to go easy on you. Be prepared for a challenge. She will be there to help you (like actually help you) . Also make sure you go to peer review sessions, they are important
Professor Joyner can be nice but she can also be the opposite. She's not bad though. Attendance is mandatory, so just show up and try and she will try to work with you. The work wasn't bad just tedious.
This was the worse professor I have ever had at Georgia Southern. She is horrible to her students and I felt like her grading was unfair. She claims she is willing to work with you but when you seek help, she makes it so much worse. I would never take her again. Do not take her if you value your time, GPA, or life.
Don't take this class if you care about your GPA because this professor instructions are hard to apply and she claims she is willing to help give feedback but doesn't show how to apply it to the papers you write. She is extra with formatting and she takes points off for any little thing. Also, It is impossible to get an A.
June Joyner is an ok professor. Although she builds a very good connection to her students as she walks around class asking everyone if they have any questions, she is a very hard grader. You can not just follow the rubric and expect to get an A on the assignment you have to pay attention in class and incorporate that into your final paper.
She definitely has the students best interests in mind. Class is mandatory, but attending class is very beneficial, she gives you time in class to actually work on your assignments. Go to her peer review sessions.
She is quite a challenging teacher. I wouldn't say the work is hard, but she most definitely grades very hard. Attendances counts she did allow some extra credits opportunities. She isn't a bad professor overall; highly recommend going to office hours as well :) !!!
This is by far the worst professor I've ever taken. She will tell you your paper is good in person and then give you a terrible grade. She is not willing to help raise your grade at all, even if you have been to every single class. If you can help it, avoid her at all costs!
Professor Joyner is an extremely helpful professor. If you fail this class it's because you didn't reach out.
This teacher grades extremely harshly, DOES NOT accept late work AT ALL no matter what, and assigns rigorous assignments. I recommend choosing a different Professor if you want to have peace of mind about your GPA and life. Even after contacting the Dean of Students about this Professor, they were no help at all. Please just don't take her classes!
Do not take this professor she is the absolute worst she will act as if she is trying to help you out and still give you a bad grade no matter how close you follow the rubric. She assigns a bunch of work and expects it to be done by the exact date. She does not care for your gpa or mental health DO NOT TAKE!!!
I CREATED AN ACCOUNT HERE JUST TO PREVENT FELLOW STUDENTS FROM MAKING THE SAME MISTAKE I DID. IF YOU WANT TO HAVE A HAPPY JUST DON'T TAKE HER CLASS, AVOID HER AT ALL COSTS!!! She is notoriously difficult as an online teacher. She shows no leniency towards late submissions, offering no credit regardless of the circumstances.
This is the worst professor I have ever had. She would tell you what to change in your paper and would not give you credit when fixed. She also would forget to grade assignments. She told me to email her to remind her to grade assignments. Absolutely ridiculous. She does not care for your time or schedule. Too meticulous with her grading as well.
Originally I was scared to take her class because of her rating but it turned out to be the complete opposite the only thing people may have an issue with is the attendance policy that if you miss more than 2 days (unexcused) you can only make a B or lower in the class other than that if you just do the work you will be fine
Professor Joyner is tough but fair. The workload is rigorous, and she grades harshly. However, attending class and seeking help in office hours can make a big difference. Unstuckstudy proved invaluable for managing the assignments.
Overall, the class is pretty hard. She can be a tough grader but if you go out of your way for help, she is more than happy to look over your papers. She not as bad as the reviews make her seem, however be ready to do work in her class. Taking her class helped me become a much better writer.
This professor is a tough grader for sure. She doesn't care about putting in a failing grade on any assignment/project/test at all. If you take this class, as other reviewers stated, you'll most definitely do a bunch of work.
Everything people don't like about professors. Unclear on grading, calls you out in the middle of class. Locks the door and if you are one second late wont let you in. Seemed to think she was above everyone else intellectually. I dreaded going to class every day for the simple fact that she was insufferable, and I know I wasn't the only one.
If you care about your grades and want to do well in an English class, do not take her course. She gives extremely harsh feedback when you don't understand the content she's supposed to be teaching and will say it is your fault and that you have to pay attention more. Was extremely taken back by her harsh words when going to her office hours.
Coming into this class, these reviews scared me, but I found Mrs. Joyner was somewhat opposite. Her course structure is very well organized, but a lot of BUSY WORK. Attendance is mandatory, but if you do the work and follow her instructions, you will get an A. NO FINAL TEST!
Ms. Joyner was everything you do not want in a professor. She does not include clear instructions, talks down to students, grades slowly, and does not give helpful feedback. I have always gotten good grades, but I genuinely struggled in this class. Save yourself the stress and pick someone else!!!
