Hard but fair. She does try and help to bring up your grade. Didn't find that she forces her opinions on you though.

Anything that she puts on the board she will test you on. Her test format is hard, you must study and memorize all the notes. She gives extra credit on test and extra writting assisnments. She does not force opions on you gives hers and listens to yours!

A good professor. Gives the info straight to you and its easy as hell.

Great Prof. Took her for PO20 and PO25. As long as you can memorize the notes, you are gonna get an A on all the tests...great woman too!

You really don't have to read the text if you take al the notes she puts on the board. Her test are pure memorization from the notes. Pay attention and and have a news topic to talk about daily and you will do great in the class

very,very boring. I would rather watch paint dry than listen to one of her lectures. Tests could be easy if you MEMORIZE all of the notes she gives.

Excellent professor. Although you can usually tell which way she leans on a subject, she is tolerant of all views and presents classroom material in an easy to digest format. Highly recommended.

Her test are strict memorization. Memorize the notes and you will get A's on the test. She is very open to anyone's point of view. Although she may be liberal on most issues she is more than willing to listen to your point.

Her internship class is very easy, really no work too it other than the 100 hours. No test but a small amount of writting, mainly on the experiences you have in the internship!

Great teacher. She made sure everything she said was on the test. She makes you take notes but they are useful for the test. Just have to study her notes for the tests.

I would take Prof. Lang again and again. STUDY the notes intently. Do the quizzes and other assignments and you'll get an easy A.

1 Great professor. Not only do you just have to memorize the notes(not that much material), you actually get the chance to learn a lot because the lack of pressure. Forget what the others said. she's a smart lady and you'll get an a or b w/o pain.

She is a really good teacher and as long as you take notes and do your hw you should get an a. Her tests areexactly like the notes she puts on the board so just memorize them andyou will do fine.

So passionate about Politics and more than anything tries to inspire her students to get involved! She is strict, but fair and wants you to learn, which is why. Her tests are difficult because you really have to know the notes. However she offers plenty of extra credit. Take her!

I had Prof Lang as a professor my first semester at Suffolk and absolutely was scared to take anything that had to do with Political Science. I took her class again, a year later, and had more fun then. Her tests are just what she tells you in class and very straight forward. Thanks Professor Lang

This professor is a very intelligent woman.The only reason people didn't like her is that she sees right through the nonesense, and wants to get the facts straight.She is understanding and gives extra credit.You have to take notes, and get involved.Tests are hard, but this is college, right? =)

I love this class. Her tests require you to memorize the material which can be difficult. Memorize the first 3 or 4 points and explanations under each heading she gives. A liberal politics professer... how odd. If you are a liberal it's fun if you aren't, it helps you to define your stance.

If you want an A in this class you have to work for it. Tests will be exactly as her class notes. You must memorize alot and about 20-25 out of 50 vocab words will be on the test. She gives extra credit so thats a plus but if you dont agree with her views she makes you feel out of place.

if u wanna sit and do nothing then she is not 4 u, i really enjoy the class, if u disagree with her she will ask you why and try 2 correct u. she is good and i mean GOOD.

she is meticulous/methodical in notes and grading. Become a parrot to get an A. Cunning and knows the ins and outs of the political system. gives good advice on how to gain power. do not waste time reading text just skim it cautiously for quizzes. Article summaries list main idea, facts, reaction.

Her tests are identical to her notes. As long as you study 3 of the bulleted points under each heading you'll do good. Also, she gives a lot of take-home assignments which help the grade. Not the best class, but an easy A if you memorize her notes.

You want to do good on her tests? Memorize the material word for word, because she basically asks you to write her notes back to her on the test. Gives a lot of work, but as long as you put in the effort, it's not tough. VERY opinionated, VERY liberal, and she will argue you to death. Good Teacher

Hard Hard Hard class... alot of work... worth it you walk away feeling like you learned something...shes a good professor and if you work at it and do the extra credit... u might get an A

She is one of the best teachers I ever had. There are a LOT of assignments, her tests are right out of her notes, and she encoureges you to follow current news by having a 20min. open discussion of news in the beginning of every class. Her knowledge is very wide and in depth about the subject, you can ask her any questions, but she is arrogant.

Very Intelligent woman that really knows her politics. The class is not easy, but not impossible. The tests comes straight from the notes. Study and memorize the notes and your set.

A lot of work. Had to write a long essay on a drawn out book by a congressman.. tests are STRAIGHT from the notes, but you need to glance over the textbook in order to do the take home quizzes on the reading. A lot of little assignments, but if you do them they ensure you a good grade. And if you still arent doing good, she gives easy extra credit

She's interesting to listen to. She's not good for conservatives. She's very knowledgeable. But she has unrealistic expectations for her students, and she's unrelenting in her difficulty. Her tests are insane.

She hates Bush. The test is straight from the notes. Know your vocab. Most notes are right out of the text. If she doesn't like what you are saying she will let you know. The tests are not scantron. They are fill in and the vocab is mulitple choice. Class won't be your easiest.

shes really not as bad as every one thinks she is if u have respect. She is very opinionated, but as long as u respect her, the class is really easy actually, and you'll learn alot. she gives take home tests and alot of diffrent assignments and extra credit to help your grade out.

She was insanely hard.. she treated an average class as if they were an honors class. She was unrelenting in her requirements from students, and she was too particular with everything... even extra credit. The tests are ridiculously difficult. This is from a person who likes a challenge. Respect has nothing to do with it either, I respected her.

Very particular professor. Extremely difficult, very opiniated, always has an attitude, not fair, as long as you agreed with her you were her favorite. exams are ****in hard. so much work. and has such high expectations. very rude and cruel at times, does not understands emergencies. She wants the world to eveolve around her. although very clever.

Lang requires a lot of her students, but it never felt overwhelming. The assignments given were always fairly easy to complete, with the exception of the reaction papers. The tests are from the notes, but it's a lot to remember. I don't agree that she treated students with different viewpoints unfairly. Do the work and you'll get a good grade.

This class is very structured. Lots of assignments but they are all fairly simple. Tests are fill-in, straight from notes but you have to study or you will fail. Lots of notes every class. Study and you will do fine.

This is what a college class should be. She writes all notes on the board, and you are responsible for them on the tests. The tests are fill in and multiple choice on the vocabular. There are take home quizes on textbook readings, and a lot of assignments. She offers extra credit, and is not a hard grader.I would take her for any class.

prof is pretty good, although somewhat opinionated, meorize notes with bullets for test, takehome quizes are straight forward, but make sure you understand her assignments before the due date, for one she wasnt specific enough about the requirements for the policy paper

This was an easy class. The notes tell you verbatim the answers on the test, no surprises there. If you choose not to study, you will fail. She is lenient on essays. We had conflicting opinions at points, but she never came off as insulting. If you do work, and actually study and show up to class, it is SIMPLE to get an A in this class.

Very straight forward teacher. The notes are the test, if you memorize them they should not be a problem. Pretty easy grader on essays, as long as you pick a side and argue clearly it shouldn't be a problem. Might be alot of work at times but as long as you go to class and stay on top of your work it's an easy A.

This is probably one of the best professors at Suffolk. Shes truely cares about politics and urges everyone of her students to have a passion for politics. Test can be hard but make sure you take ALL notes cause that what the tests are from. Had her for 2 semesters and do not regret it.

Lang is a great teacher and is an expert at politics. One will work hard in her class in order to pass gives three test short answer and matching. Gives three take home multiple choice quizes. Gives three news reviews on pbs programs, an essay, and a presentation. She is good she is the best at what she does but she will make you earn your grade

I got an A, but the tests are HARD. Read the textbook & memorize seemingly-useless statistics. Otherwise, not bad. You have every opportunity to earn extra points that you missed. Classes are interesting, & she's funny, even if she isn't trying to be. If someone is *actually* stupid, she doesn't hide her face very well! I loved her!

Wonderful! The class was great, the topics interesting, and Prof. Lang goes out of her way to help. READ THE BOOK! It holds all the answers. Then she will even go over key points and tell you what to look for. Plenty of extra credit opps. If you are a skate by, no effort student you should not attend. Thorough testing w/ essays and presentation.

Professor Lang is a great teacher. She encourages a lot of discussion. Although I ended up only getting a C+, it was because I didnt read the textbook and her tests are entirely based off the text. So just read, and take good notes and you'll do well. You also have to do a presentation at the end of the semester, which is 20% of your grade.

Professor Lang is extremely passionate about what she teaches. Attend class and read through the textbook before tests and you'll be fine. I got an A, however, this class is not for students who are "skating by". Be prepared to earn your grade!

her class seems hard at first. but she is a interesting and good teacher. there is a heavy work load but most people do well, learn and do not dread class

This class is the type of class where you earn your grade. You cant expect to get a good grade and not do any work in this class. Upon entering this class you should be open to different ideas and not be one sided on political issues. Her tests are easy if you study and her take home quizzes are simple.

Really clear and interesting lectures. She encourages people to participate, and there is a presentation assignment. She's also really clear on what you need to know for tests and what's expected for papers, so if you put any effort into her class it's not hard.
