She's a tough one, but a hottie for an NJIT Prof.
Certainly one of the most attractive NJIT professors I've seen. Enough to make you want to stay alert during a typical boring class!!!
this teacher is easy and very helpful.the main thing is she is very hot and young. she got a great body
this teacher is pretty cute and has a smokin body. Lenient on the grading and very easy on the eyes. Just be careful and not stare at her body the whole time, otherwise you might not learn anything. I know i have gone to class and totally zoned out b/c she is so cute. Good thing she teaches well als
oh yeah, she's a cutie for sure....execellent teacher too!
this is one of the better cis teachers! you can understand her english and is extremely helpful. she doesnt mind explaining what you have problems 2 or even 3 times. it was my first time taking cis and i passed so i say TAKE HER! just pay attention during class and dont be afraid to ask ?'s
Tries to make sure the class understands. She moves along at the classes pace. If your class seems to be getting the info, your class will end early. I took her for a night class. I fell asleep in her class several times, so her teaching methods can be borring.
Took her over DL. Excellent teacher who really puts in an effort to make sure everyone understands. Before the midterm, we posted doubts on the discussion board and she responded instantaneously! Never has a teacher done this before in my DL classes. Hard subject if you suck at programming logic.

thank god, we have the best cis instructor at NJIT, if you want to learn and ask questions , she is the best and hot prof on campus.
hay guys i start taking DL with her it was aweson i suggest take her class but too bad she teach only cis 280 and lower class. if she teach upper level class i will take with her again and again :P she is very help and kind.
She is pretty hot! Great professor! teaches well and very easy to understand. Good choice to go with.

best prof for an 8:30 class. THE best prof i've had for a CIS class yet...
She is very unclear when trying to give u an example problem. Therefore she is NOT so helpful. If u gonna take her wasting ur time/money. I suggest u go for sumone else. If u r like bill gates then n only then u wanna take her!!!! I wldn't take her 4 neother class after CIS 110!!!! I new my stuff n i barely passed her b/c she was very unclear!
The other guy is a freaking cry baby. She speaks English and she's hot so what can you ask for? She has her Lecture Slides on her website. If you can get off your ass and stop playing online games, maybe you would have done better in her class.
This is a pretty good class. She gives a lot of class practices which are similar to the test. For best results, always sit in front and avoid lecture halls (regular classroom instead) to see the stuff she's writing better. Good luck!
Not only is she a very knowledgable person, she is very helpful as well and explains everything in order to understand the whole problem. Her lectures may be boring at times but she really does seem like she puts an effort into teaching and her students. If u need to take cis, take it with her.
Excellent instructor, I wish all professors were like her. Attend every lecture, take notes, pay close attention to to the PROBLEMS covered during lecture class, don't worry about the theory so much, but know how solve the problems!! You'll pass with a good grade. TEXT BOOK not necessary except for few HW problems. Do study her PowerPoint lectures.
She is good lookin, pretty and dresses nicely!!Oh ya, and she is an excellent instructor also---definitely take her!!
The homework assignments are easy for the good student. The midterm had a few questions that came out of nowhere. The project REQUIRES a good group on top of their writing and coding skills. She tries to make everything clear. Attractive, made it easier to get up for an 8:30. Has a sense of humor. Less than a B and you're a poor student.
The book is useless. Her teaching slides are a joke! Only she can understand what she has put in them. The only good thing is that the TA grades leniently!!
Great teacher. Puts up many examples. Gives the students code to work out, and will actually walk around and make sure everyone understands. Also has a great body. Definitely recommended.
Her teaching skills are just like her looks; excellent! Class was great. Listen to what she is saying and you will do just fine in the class. She is also very helpful and a very good person.
When I first came to this college I initially took Kwestel and ended up dropping the class...I took Prof. Spirollari and got an A. I'm taking her again for CS 113 and have an A in the class again this semester. In the other sections for CS 110 and CS 113 2/3 of the students failed the class A PIECE!! Take CS 113 with her you will not regret it...
Very good professor. Would recommend her to anyone. Make sure to do the practice problems she gives in class, and if you dont get them, then ask her or someone else because most of the time, she is dead on with the exams.
One of the best instructors I've had at NJIT. Intelligent, articulate, kind, caring, and very helpful. She knows how to teach! Nice to look at too.
The best CS professor I ever had!
This professor KNOWS how to teach. Give her a raise. She encourages class participation and in class notepad programming. She takes attendance early on, but stops near the middle of the semester. Also, if you're a newbie to programming, this professor will def. help you pass if you do the repetitive in class exercises (Repetition = remembering)
Very clear and helpful. Not much homework but does helpful in-class questions. Hot.
Very nice teacher. Knows how to teach. Tries to get the class to participate. Takes attendance in the beginning of the semester but not towards the end of it. Only a few homework assignments but they are long/hard. Must complete in class labs once per week, pretty easy because you get help from her and the TA. Overall, good professor.
I'm not a CS student, so I thought CS113 was a tough class. She does a really good job of explaining things if you ask questions. The homework problems are really hard but are really good practice and if you do them you'll be set for the exam - if you don't, I wouldn't want to be you since you need to handwrite code for your exams.
She is great at getting information through your head in an understandable way.
If you've never done Java before I highly suggest that you do as many of the practices as possible. The Professor is helpful, but the material is challenging. When doing in-class exercises pay attention and jot down the parameters, as she sometimes throws in extras in the middle.
GREAT TEACHER
She's pretty awesome.
Great teacher. Very helpful if you're new to programming, and still pretty interesting if you've done it before. Incredibly nice woman. Overall great professor.
Truly one of the best CS teachers and she really understands what she teaches. All you really need to do is pay attention and do the work she assigns. Even if you're a beginner programmer like me, she's the perfect teacher for you.
I wish she taught upper level CS courses. If you take her, attend class, and at least attempt the HW. It's hard for me to believe that you can fail with her. She knows how to teach and cares about student success.
I was afraid I wasnt going to do well in this class and find it extremely dull but that changed. I now love programming. Shes extremely helpful and clear with her explanations. Dont miss any classes cuz there are no lecture notes and it will be hard to understand on ur own. Pay attention and u should do fine. Got an easy B+. U cant do better.
She's really helpful and teaches the material very strictly in a great manner. She offers extra credit on all homework and is always in her office for extra help!
This was my hardest class for that semester but the professor made it easy enough to understand. I had no prior knowledge of coding and that was what made it hard but now i know the basics. If you can get her class, take it but her class fills up fast.
She is awesome and knows how to teach. I took her winter class and she explains everything clearly. Take her class its so worth it
Great teacher. She makes sure you understand the material before moving on. She has a German accent but it's not very thick.
She walks you though everything in an extremely efficient manner. Very good lecturer.
She is really good. Knows her stuff, very friendly, likes to take everything a step further but never leaves anyone behind.
Very helpful. Willing to take time to help you understand the more complex ideas. Isn't reliant on the textbook. Took her for CS 101 and then continued with her in CS 113, did not regret it.
One of the best teachers I've had at NJIT. Very clear, helpful and always makes sure that everyone understands a concept before moving on to the next topic, no matter how long it takes. She expects work, but at the end it's very rewarding. Highly recommend.
Awesome professor, made everything easier and clearer to understand. I appreciated her teaching so much I will be taking another one of her classes next semester.
Junilda was and awesome professor. She was very clear during lectures, and was very helpful with any questions.
She is one of the best professor for computer science. She knows her material very well and does everything she can to help you. Her teaching style is very good. She gives examples and if you dont understand a topic, she wont move on.
She's awesome! If you don't understand something, she will break it down to the fundamentals to make sure you understand it. The work isn't easy; programming isn't easy. But she tries her hardest to make sure that the material is understood. 3 tests (including the final) Regular HWClass Assignments Mandatory Attendance Worth going to class.
She was super super super AWESOME! If you get the chance to take her class, take the class! And if you have the chance to take her honors class, GO AHEAD! It's worth it. She was very clear and is always so cheerful. Willing to help students all the time. If you listen and do the work, you'll pass the exams for sure. Taking her again for CS113.

She was a great lecturer. Easy to pay attention to. Goes over the topics well and explains well. The tests were easy. The homework assignments were sometimes challenging, but homework is not that large a portion of your grade.
She's the best
best prof;one and only prof in CS department who cares about students. If you wanna take any CS class just take with her. you will learn.
The below comment is trolling. Every positive comment and rating is 99.9% true. She is a very good lecturer, if you pay attention you will and understand the material, you will be able to do the homework. Expect to do poorly and stare at the exams if you do not do the homework effectively, or read the chapters. Tests are common and hard
Can't say enough good about her. She's very down-to-earth and is very easy to learn from; it just seems like she has a natural teaching ability. Her accent is cute and she doesn't let the class get boring.
She is the one of NJIT's best for CS
She is one of NJIT's best when it comes to CS.
Class consists of homework, 2 exams, & 1 essay. The homework varies, my class had 5 homework assignments overall. Have to show up for your grade and you will miss a lot of material. She provides practice exams which are very helpful & the exams are okay. If you understand and practice, you'll be fine. She curves and is very nice! Book barely used.
BEST cs 100 professor ever! she is very helpful and will always be there for you.
Professor Spirollari is one of the best CS professors at NJIT! She is very funny, helpful, and patient. She will work with every student if she has to. Very easy class unless you get a bad TA. Homework can be slightly hard, but overall is very easy. You must pass the Common Final exam to pass the class. I would recommend everyone to take her class
NO, Do not take women professor in IT and CS class at NJIT.
Easiest CS100 teacher
SHE IS AMAZINGGG! She is crystal clear when it comes to explaining the topics in the course. PAY ATTENTION AND PARTICIPATE! That is the only way you will gain anything from this course. The homeworks are there to help you review what you learned in class. ASK HELP WHEN YOU NEED IT, don't wait till the last minute for help. She will gladly help.
one and only best prof in CS department. she knows lot and makes everything crystal clear. i can grantee you will learn programming if you pay attention. those who are complaining about her ,you are just a retard and you never gone learn anything in your life. highly recommend to take class with her.
she's just bad , i won't recommend it ! a lot of homework ! and the big issue with this professor she goes really fast in term of chapters and she forgot that not everybody took programming before you will really struggle !
She is great. Teaches thoroughly and in a logical order. Lectures are energetic and will keep you engaged. Homework can be difficult, but they are in order to prepare you for midterms and the final. If you spend the time completing the homework and labs successfully and reflect / study them, you will pass the midterms and finals without hard study.
Too much homework, not really organized on her lectures, she thinks everybody did programming before if your level is just low in programming don't take her she's is really hard
Arguably one of the best Computer Science professors to take. She lectures very well, and at the end of the semester, the lectures can delve into real-life things which is nice. It's not too much homework, only one once a week.
She gives so much homework, but it's helpful and very much related to the exams. She is a nice professor and will go over any problem you have during the class.
she was a great prof introduced the subject at a good pace and would always ask the class if they understood what was going on. the subject was difficult for someone not in that field to understand but if you write notes pay attention in class go along with her examples and review the notes you will get an A inthe class and textbook is free online
I had an easy time picking up the concepts that she taught and as a professor she really knows her stuff. I feel every student should take her, and expect to study unless you are familiar with programming in Java. My issue is that she has TAs run 2 of the 3 lab sections. I feel some students are at a disadvantage, but it's really not her fault.
Super friendly, and breaks everything down to the most basic level. Don't be afraid to ask questions, she's happy to answer them. Also a brilliant sense of humor. Take her if you can!
One of the best professors for CS. She teaches the information to the most basic level so that even a person who never coded before could understand the material. There is HW every class that isn't too bad. Do the work and you will get an A. Mandatory office hours every week and must get an 80 on the final to get an A in the class.
Awesome instructor. Very knowledgeable and knows how to actually teach.
Teaches well and always willing to help
Great at explaining things. Very patient. Highly recommended for the strategic student.
Overall, a great professor who really cares for her students and simplifies lessons so that they are perfectly communicated to the students.
Junilda is the type of professor I wish I had for all my CS classes. Her lectures are very easy to follow because she interacts with her students and makes sure that her material is well understood before moving forward. She speaks very clearly and there is no language barrier/accent to worry about. Very friendly and knows her stuff.
As someone who never coded in java, she gives amazing lectures so you can better understand certain java topics , super nice and helpful, def recommend her than any other CS113 prof out there
Professor Spirollari is probably the best professor in the CS department. She is very clear in her explanations and will slow down to explain something you do not understand. Do not worry if you have no prior coding experience- she teaches right from scratch. Only bad thing is she doesn't teach the upper level CS courses, which I wish she would.
Prof. Spriollari is an amazing lecturer. She is willing to talk to stop and entertain questions of students during her lectures. If you have her for your lab class, she is willing to look and improve your skills with code. Very knowledgeable and I would take again. Would recommend her to everyone taking a CS class.
If you do poorly on the test say goodbye to ur grade. Dont take her very tough teacher and doesnt care about students.
Professor Spirollari is a true gem! I learned Python with her and will take her Java class next semester. Great at helping students and simplifying problems. The class does not have a very heavy workload, but you must practice coding at home especially if you don't have much experience. Pay attention, do HW, study, and you'll get an A!
Best professor at NJIT. Sit in the front of the class and ask questions. Use the textbook, it helps clarify some things. Don't think you'll just show up and get an A, but really listen and work hard before each exam. The golden standard of the CS department.
Professor Spirollari is honestly one of my favorite professors at NJIT. She helped me get through both CS100 and CS113 with ease. She is kind, and very enthusiastic. She breaks down the topics so they are very easy to understand. Before an exam, I attend her office hours to clear up any doubts and I was very successful on them as a result.
Professor Spirollari is a pretty solid professor. She has a set PowerPoint and gives practice problems during class which eventually ends up on the common exams. I probably could have done better as a student. Basically, just pay attention in class, and look at common exam practices on youtube to receive a good grade in this class.
Lovely lady! recommend taking her she knows her stuff with cs!
Nice professor but material wise was hard for me. Sometimes, the professor wouldn't respond to emails on time. Homework assignments were poorly directed. Concepts were really hard.
She is an amazing professor. She basically taught how to code in baby steps and help us every class to get better day by day. 1 homework assignment every week and 3 commons, 1 final, and 1 project. If you are starting how to learn programming she would be a great option to learn from.
I love the way she teaches. The only problem is that the material was hard to understand. Doesn't respond to emails of mine and the TAs weren't that helpful. Had so many issues with understanding homework assignments and practice exams had many errors. Overall, the teacher is great but you need to work hard and watch Youtube Videos for some topics.
Fantastic professor. Can explain the most complicated stuff like its ABC's. Her sections have the highest averages on the exams, and for good reason. Take her class and I can guarantee you'll come out of every single lecture with a near-perfect understanding of the material, thats how good she teaches. One of the best teachers I ever had hands down
Made python very easy to learn to me, someone who has not coded anything in their life. Her lectures were amazing and were all you needed to destroy the commons. There was never a moment I felt confused in the class and I am grateful to her for making my first CS experience wonderful.
She really tries to help students learn programming concepts. Fun professor with nice accent. Because so few people participate during lectures, if you ask for help she will go out of her way to help you during class. Common exams are very difficult compared to homeworks so go above and beyond to learn.
I had some experience programming, but even if you dont, this class was amazing. IDK what she does but her way of teaching is amazing. Weekly hw. She reviews what you need to know before every exam. Best prof ive had at njit so far.
The professor is happy to help students in class. She makes difficult concepts simple!
Pretty good at teaching concepts, homework isn't too hard. Does use the textbook but you can get it for free she even gives you the link.
Love her! Clear explanations and very caring of the students.
Her lectures are pretty good but for some reason, she gives one lecture per week and the actual coding class is handled by someone else. The course is definitely difficult but her explains make it easier
Excellent professor. Knows how to teach by encouraging class engagement and giving us helpful homework assignments.
I absolutely LOVE Spirollari & wish she could teach me again! She's the most caring professor I've had during my time here. I was scared for her remote 7.30am class but she truly puts in the effort to make sure that every student understands the content. Weekly hw and exam reviews that are exactly like the exam show why shes so loved and respected!
She clearly understands what she's doing but seems to just be reading off of the slides for her lectures. If you want to pass this class you'll need to really put in the time and effort on your own.
Spirollari is a very nice woman and obviously is extremely knowledgeable ab Java. Her exams (which she definitely writes), are full of open-ended questions that lack clear criteria and are wordy. Her multiple-choice questions are ridiculous as well. DO NOT just rely on the lectures, they are not nearly enough to cover what you will be tested on. GL
Prof Spirollari is a great CS Prof who really takes the time to explain concepts and teach them, rather than just giving a bunch of coding work. Lots of TA office hours so you can always have your questions answered. Homeworks are so clutch for an A so don't skip them ever! The only negative is that grading rubric for exam open ended is ambiguous.
Sadly since this class only consists of one lecture and a recitation a week an excess of information (through slides) is crammed into the lecture, which feels rushed, and lacks much coding from the professor herself, which is regulated to a TA. I feel if she was leading the recitation as well the course would've been more helpful.
Very solid teacher, nothing bad to say at all.
Shes a real gem. Shes super nice and shes always willing to answer any questions you have. The homeworks are a bit challenging but nothing that you cant do with a bit of research and peer reviewing. However, she does not do the grading, the TA does. She is definitely an advocate for students and she definitely loves teaching. Take her!!
AMAZING LECTURER! It is one thing for a professor to have a great deal of knowledge in their field, it is another for them to be able to instruct it in an effective manner. Prof S has both. She's an amazing lecturer. You will not be bored. Everything she has to say is important. I recommend taking notes of th extra information she provides verbally
Great Professor. Really listens to your concerns and helps you. She usually has most of her classes full. A good amount of Homework. A final project for Honor students. Easy A
Spirollari is a great professor. I recommend you take her for any of your cs classes. She is kind her homework is a little hard but it pushes you to learn the material and be prepared for the exam. She gives 3 good practice exams before every midterm make sure you study them very well bc they help a lot!
Show up to class and pay attention (especially if you don't already know how to code). If you fall behind in the lecture, take time outside of class to review. Homeworks are Java coding assignments due once a week. You can always contact CAs for help. Exams are on paper - 10 MC (prep w/ notes) and 2-3 open-ended (practice writing code).
Homework is a weekly coding assignment. Show up to lectures and pay attention. For exams, just read the notes (problems are straight from there usually but tweaked slightly) and take the practice exams. If you're a YWCC major, pay attention, this is the foundation for the rest of your college career.
Professor is great at teaching. BUT weekly Hws and exams are hard only cuz the wording is very confusing(she writes both herself). Students have harder time understanding problems than solving them. PAY ATTENTION IN CLASS and do all practice exams and hw without cheating(Ask TA for help if needed). Hard course if you don't have coding experience.
If you already know java get ready for an easy A. I didn't show up more than twice to lecture and I skipped almost every lab assignment, didn't hand in a few HWs and still ended with an A. Tests are easy. Just be ready to write your java code on a piece of paper.
Prof. Spirollari really engages her class during every lecture. The homework is... a bit much, but you can't avoid it with this course. While she assigns a textbook, it's not necessary. However, I will say that I got my 4.0 in this class by studying the textbook more than their lectures. The exams tend to take from the book.
Great person and a fair grader.
Great professor for any course. I highly recommend her for any of your computer science classes at NJIT if she is available. She teaches very well and uses great examples for students. Definitely Reccomend.
I used to believe that professor Levy or Federici is the best professor in the college, but now I would say professor Spirollary is the best among the best, using her favorite java keyword "super". My CS 100 teacher Querimaj didn't teach anything in the class other than yelling, but Spirollary taught us so well that I can forget my CS 100 ordeal.
Professor Spirollari was in fact, knowledgeable, but I took this class during COVID times and it was by far one of the hardest CS classes. I didn't like it one bit and the professor I felt was giving me personally a hard time. This was my second time taking this class and I had another professor before Spirollari. Would not recommend it!
Professor Spirollari is great and really nice and caring. I have never coded before but her lectures were very good and informative. There are 3 common exams that are very easy but can be annoying since a lot of the questions are very nitpicky. Weekly HW isnt that bad either. Overall a great experience and good introduction to the basics of coding
Good professor, lecture heavy, show up and pass. Expect to learn the concepts and abstract part of Java or else you will do poorly on the exams. I wish she looked at my emails and responded but it varies from person to person. Overall, wish there was more pair-programming so we could practice the concepts.
Professor Spirollari is an incredible professor. She genuinely cares about how well her students understand the material, and I recommend taking her if you are unsure or inexperienced about the material you'll be learning in class. I personally didn't pay attention in her class and that's my fault, but she's a great teacher!
Great professor. CS100 was pretty terrible and they say CS113 is harder, but Professor Spirollari actually made it easier. Engaging in lectures, and explains concepts very well. Take her if you get the chance.
Professor Spirollari gives very thorough lectures on the material. On review day, she indirectly hints at the exact questions that would appear on the test which is very helpful. She is by far the best CS teacher I have ever had and will most likely remain so.
I was in the honors section for this class. Spirollari is a great lecturer, you can tell she really understands the material. For the honors section, she also ran our lab section along with a CA. We did pair programming for lab, meaning you were graded based on partner work. gives weekly quizzes during the beginning of every lecture
She's very good at teaching the material and helps the class understand by enforcing active participation. The HW is fairly easy and can be done before the class even ends if you already understand the material. She also provides answers for past exams which makes studying convenient. The quizzes can be tricky though.
Professor Spirollari was an amazing lecturer and I always understood the material. She also posted the slides on canvas so if I did miss the class I could still see what I missed, pop quizzes at the beginning of each class.
She's an amazing professor. She cares for her students and teaches the material well. CS113 calls for you to know your stuff though, so as long as you make an effort to keep up you should do well.
Ask questions when needed, she loves to help out! For the midterms and the final practice a lot and read the question as they might look similar to the practice tests but are meant to catch you off guard.
Ask questions and practice problems from the book to get a clear understanding of the material.
Great professor.
Professor Spirollari is hands down the best CS professor I've ever had. She is very caring and wants you to do well in class. She likes participation and often engages with the class keeping the lectures entertaining. I took this class twice, the first time with a different professor and I can guarantee you a good professor makes a big difference.
She's the best! Makes things clear, and answers all questions. She is very understanding and friendly, take her to make your life better in CS especially if you don't like CS.
She's such an engaging professor and I really enjoyed learning java from her! There were weekly quizzes with either two or three mc questions about the lecture that you learned last week that aren't too bad. For common exams study the lecture slides well, especially the vocab/key words because the answers are sometimes straight from there.
Explains content very well. Super nice and comfortable asking questions to. Workload isn't too much and helps you prepare to the common exams well.
Professor Spirollari is great. While she can go slowly at times, you will 100% understand the material for the midterms and final. The coding assignments (homework/labs) were easy, and while the quizzes made you think I didn't mind them. Midterms were straightforward as well. Rating for Honors CS 113, but also took her Honors CS 100.
She made the class extremely engaging, allowing me to take very effective notes and ask questions (and also stay up at 8:30). Gives fair lecture quizzes, assigns simple coding problems, and prepares you well for the exams.
Professor Spirollari makes the class engaging and prepares you well for exams. The coding assignments are manageable, and while the quizzes require thinking, they're helpful. Using Unstuck AI alongside the textbook and lecture notes can make studying more efficient.
For a "beginner" course it's pretty difficult especially with no prior experience. However, she is very good at concepts and prepares us well for the exams. Also makes lectures and labs fun and engaging. My advice is to go to the office hours the TA's she had for my section were helpful and helped me pass. Overall I can't complain
Terrible course administrator. Ruined the course for NJIT students. Class structure is completely backwards and questions on tests are completely different from the review. If you have no prior experience I suggest saving money the money and stay very far away from NJIT. WORST COLLEGE CLASS EXPERIENCE DO NOT TAKE
DO NOT take her class, she is horrible in giving exams. The test questions nowhere come close to the homework's, reviews or anything taught in class. She tests as she is testing an experienced master student. She needs to revise her course curriculum and test papers.
Incredible teacher! Honors or not, always take her for any CS courses applicable. Lectures are pretty good, and mid-class practice is always welcome. Grading and assignments are more than fair, and practice stuff perfectly reflects the assessments. In fact, most of the questions on the exams literally mirror questions on the practice exams :)
Her Assignments are a bit challenging, but they are doable. And she helped me through them really well in the office hours. The exams are also simple with multiple choice and open ended questions being pseudocodes. You can take her if you want to learn and get a good grade. Make sure to keep up with the notes.
This is a common course so most of the grading is done through TA's and common exams, but she is an incredible teacher. If you know coding and java already she may bore you, but she is easily top 5 best teachers i've had at this school. She could successfully teach coding to a dog
Great professor. If you are a CS major, take her class. You will learn a lot.
The best CS professor by a long shot. Lectures are interactive with students, and she explains the material very clearly. What she teaches is what you ought to expect on exams. Pay attention in class, try hard, and you'll be good to go. Definitely take her if and when you get the chance, she cares for her students and for the material she teaches.
Honestly my grade was just my laziness but she's an awesome professor, giving lots of chances, HW helps alot, and is willinging to help you if you ask. Very enthusiatic about her work. Be on time with HW though - doesn't extend dates, and whatever you get in Zybooks that it. Understandbale, she gives you a whole week to complete.
Amazing professor. Had her for spring 25, knowledgeable and passionate. Everything is online so you only need a laptop when you show up to class. Actively engages the class to reach answers through thinking critically and responds to students questions and concerns. Exams can be a bit rough though, some questions felt unfair
She's great at explaining. She expects a ton of participation, which is a good thing. Had I not participated in class, I wouldn't have gotten an A. She doesn't just read off the slides like other professors do; she makes sure everyone understands.
Professor Spirollari is very good. Her lectures are useful and by listening to them you can learn a lot of things that you need to know for the exams and labs. I took her in spring '25 however, so she was not the coordinator of cs113 at the time. The coordinator in the spring sem was Micheal Estes and his exams were almost nothing like hers.
I didn't have experience with Python, but she is very passionate and will make sure everybody understands the material. I personally didn't have any quizzes - I think the the exams were difficult, but that will be the case for any section of CS100.
She's the best. The class in itself can be challenging if u self sabotage and don't start paying attention from day 1.She breaks it down so good that I genuinely enjoy the class (I can't believe it lol). PLEASE participate. I don't care if you're shy - it really helped me understand more. If you give up week 1, you are going to fail.Go to officehrs
prof spirollari is the goat
She's a pretty nice professor; she teaches the material well. The TA for my particular section wasn't great though...
This professor actually cares about her students and loves to answer questions on anything. For CS100 she made learning Python very easy to understand, and if you want to get an A just pay attention and write notes for her class. She is definitely the best professor I've had at NJIT.
