Online. Summer Semester. Due to some issues with the online classroom some of the grading was behind schedule. Responded to e-mail questions in no longer than 24 hours. Assignments were pretty simple, the only reason to contact him is to make sure you are on the right track. Seems like he may grade a little easy, but otherwise a good teacher.

He always answers any email and with in 24hr. I would take any class he teaches.

I took his summer online class and he couldn't have been more helpful. He answered to the emails promptly, was active on discussion boards and very good with his feedback on assignments. His assignments were interesting with lots of topic choices and he was always ready to help if you had doubts. Wish I had taken an on-campus class with him.

I took his online ENGL1301 and it was only 5 assignments. He always answered my emails right away. Grading was a little slow but with only having 5 assignments I'm not going to complain. Very awesome teacher.

I knew nothing of the arts. After taking him I have a whole new perspective for this class. Very easy going guy. I could really tell he has a lot of passion for the arts. Very knowledgable. I highly recommend him. Show up take quizes, do research papers, get an A.

Very easy teacher, he's also really nice and understanding. had him for English1301 we never took any tests or quizzes our work consisted of 5 papers throughout the sememster and gave us about 2-3 weeks to get them done. definitely taking him for 1302

Super easy professor! Gotta be in class for the quizzes, which are rarely quizzes of knowledge acquired. For example, we will watch a video that pertains to what we are studying and all we do is write down 5 interesting things. Lots of reading, but he goes over important parts in class. Also, get a previous edition of the book for much cheaper.

I took him in spring 2012 as a retake of engl 1301 online and he was a great professor was very helpful! Gave constructive criticism and helped when needed! Did not need book for class at all! If you are a half way decent writer this is an easy A! I hardly put anything into my papers and made an A!

Justin does not babysit his students nor hold their hands. He gives his expectations and gives you the resources to complete the assignments. He is very clear in his expectations, but he will not drill them into you. He gives them to you and expects you to keep them. Very fair I would think.

I took his online class in the spring semester. I have to say it was the easiest english class I've ever taken. He only gives out an assignment every few weeks. They are easy and short! The final is a research paper. But, it was a single paragraph! He was nice, easy, and his topics were interesting to write on :) I highly recommend this class.

His class was a good class. He let us do a lot of work in class which helped me during the semester. Wish his spring schedule fit mine!!! Easy Class overall.

Mr. Brumit is a very helpful professor that really does care about his students. He is willing to offer personal experiences, tips, and advice for not just the class but for succeeding in college in general. 5 writing assignments all of which are assignned a month ahead. Lots of chances for extra credit. Highly recommend.

This is my third class that I have taken with Dr. Brumit and he is a great professor! Makes the class really interesting and he drops quiz grades because he understands that life happens! I recommend taking him for COMP 1301, COMP 1302, AND HUMA 1301!

Took English comp I online. Essays due once a month. He grades pretty easy and always tells you what he took off for so you can fix it. Wish he taught a summer engl comp 2 class so I could have him again.

Dr. Brumit is Great. I would not say his class is easy, but if you are willing to do your part you can do well. Dr. Brumit really goes out of his way to help his students learn. This is the kind of teacher that I try to seek out for all of my classes. Dr. Brumit as a picture of what a Great teacher truly is!

Took his fine art appreciation class and I actually learned quite a bit and it was an interesting class and only had to write one paper! he took off points for using unnecessary adverbs like 'very' or 'really' should have known he was an english teacher haha

This class was a breeze, we did one paper over a piece of art. He gave us oral reviews for the tests, if you read your book, you will make an easy A+

Simple class. Took him online during summer. He gives a lot of feedback. Two essays and a few paragraph assignments. Final was a paragraph, not a full essay. He give examples to follow for most assignments. Not difficult. Take him.

Fairly easy. Assignments are really clear. Only one essay. Only has stuff due once or twice a month. You need to read the book to be able to do well on tests. I didn't do great on tests but still made a B because the assignments were simple. And he gives an example with each assignment.

I was a little hesitant in taking English class online but teacher made it easier. I would recommend taking his class, do the work and you will pass.

Really knows his stuff, fun teacher to take. I learned a lot in this class! He is pretty easy, we really didn't do too much in that class. He will assign a (short) reading each week that we will quiz over the next class. Super easy though. He also shows a lot of films which is a GREAT change of pace and keeps us interested.

Wish he taught 1302. Gives great examples, good feedback, and is a good at your own pace kind of class. no more than 10 assignments.

He gives the best directions and made it easy to navigate his online class. Grades in a timely manner and gives great feedback. Be ready to read the book because he is specific when it comes to grammar and other issues in your writings. TAKE HIM TAKE HIM TAKE HIM! You will NOT regret it!

He really loves what he does. He is a very smart guy and is willing to help out his students. He's pretty cheesy. You have a lot of reading but he goes over what you need to know. He tells you when you'll have a "pop quiz". Overall, good teacher.

He was by far the best teacher I have ever had for English, I learned so much and I enjoyed it. Writing is difficult but he gave great explanations, examples, and great feedback. I improved over the course of the class, and would easily take him again! I highly recommend this class. He is an amazing passionate teacher and clear about expectations.

Very few assignments so put effort into them. Read some of the book just like he asks because it tells you what to avoid in your essays. The essays are not very long. English have never been my strong class.

I took online. Great professor, highly recommend him. About 1 paper per month. Assignments weren't fun, but he made them easier with examples. He gives detailed feedback. Rent the textbook. He gives pages for each section. I tried to read them all in the beginning, but then just used it to brush up on some grammarcitation rules. Take Dr. Brumit!

Loved this class and professor! Lectures are to the point and when we are done in 30 minutes, oh well he let's us leave. There is no dragging out the lecture. Super easy. Must be willing to write. Writing center on campus will be good to visit for essays. Love Dr. Brumit and would take again but he doesn't teach Engl. Comp2 this semester.

Dr. Brumit is awesome. Had him for 2 courses & loved them both. He uses videos along with lectures to keep you interested. He is freakishly smart in many subjects so has lots of real life experiences to share. Be in class ON TIME for the quizzes, buy the book, make a friend bc he will not tell you what you missed. Lots of extra credit chances.

Great organization for a online class. He as about one essay due a month, with a 2 points extra credit with that assignment. Quizzes are over Grammar, plenty of time multiple choice With no reviews. Would defiantly take again!

HE IS AMAZING! Show up and do your work, he doesn't like to repeat him self but he is clear with reviews and his expectations of the class. He knows the information so well that his lectures are enjoyable. He teaches you things you will never read in a book. I LOVED IT! Be prepared to purchase a textbook, all of the quizzes are based off readings.

Summer I Weekly essay assignments due on Friday's Mid-Term Multiple Choice on Grammar Final Exam - Short Essay If you're a good writer, I highly recommend the online course. However, I am a terrible writer and made plenty of visits to the writing lab on campus. Will take traditional classroom for ENGL1302. E-mail response within 2 days.

I took this class for Summer I. He graded fairly and gave good feedback and told you what some things were that you needed to correct. There were 5 papers due each week, one final that was based on your writing assignment, and a multiple choice quiz for the mid-term. He responded within 2 days of me sending him an e-mail.

Relatively easy grading. Doesn't assign long papers or very many of them. Gave short quizzes on assigned reading at beginning of each class. Overall makes the class fun and easy. Textbook not required, but makes quizzes easier.

Dr. Brumit was great. I took him for English 1 online. He's a very good teacher because he taught me more about my mistakes then any other class has! His papers and topics are interesting and he gives really great feedback. I respect him for taking up a class that demands so much grading during the summerstill having a life. He's a favorite. :)

Professor Brumit is a good teacher. His feedback will help you with your writing, and writing is really all you have to do. He assigns interesting essay topics, and then you have two exams throughout the entire semester. The only negative thing is that it takes him a really long time to grade your papers.

Wasn't the easiest A. I would take him for a future class if needed.

Dr. B is amazing. His lectures are fun because he is so passionate about Fine Arts and Humanities. (I took him for both because I liked him so much). You don't have to like art to enjoy this class.

Great teacher the class was fairly easy and gives lots of extra credit, you will need a book for that class but you won't use it for the entire semester. The first half of the semester is looking at paintings and the second half is studying film. All tests are True or False and there is a 4 page essay required on a painting of your choosing.

No homework. No reading. Three tests, final not comprehensive. One art paper- easy grading. All testing information comes directly from the lecture. You have to show up and listen because he does not lecture from the book. Book was completely unnecessary. He even recognized it in class. He is a wonderful professor who loves what he teaches.

its a English class so expect writing but there not so much than i thought there would have been. Easy Teacher, I ended out with a B which is great considering i suck at English. Takes a little bit to grade but what teacher doesnt. You should take this class/teacher. EASY!!!

Brumit is a good teacher. He made sure to give us the opportunity to talk and ask him about his grading. He also makes sure the class understands what he trying to teach.

Loved this professor. Helpful and friendly. He ended class early several times so that he could critique our paper. He wants his students to succeed, so take advantage of it! I got a 98 because I took all of the feedback he offered. Plenty of extra credit opportunities. Class discussions are interesting! Taking him again next semester!

I found this class interesting. The textbook is well written. Must read the chapters and there are lots of supplemental videos. They're not boring, though. Lots of discussion, but he gives very good feedback. Easy class if you do the work.

Dr. Brumit is an amazing teacher! You have 6 discussions, no quizzes, no exams. Discussions have to be a min of 300 words. You have to reply to 6 discussions. It is a lot of reading and documentaries, but very interesting and worth it!

Dr. Brumit's class isn't too hard but if you miss even one assignment it can kill your grade. I took his blended course which is half online and half lecture in person. Seems like he has nothing to do when we do meet in class so we go over things that have nothing to do with assignments. 2 tests & 5 homework assignments the entire semester.

One of the few professors I would 100% recommend. He makes learning about humanities fun and very understanding. As long as you take notes youll pass the tests. The final paper was super easy and gives you the whole semester to write it. He offers extra credit and feedback on paper. Cant wait to take ENGL1301 class.

The feedback on my papers was a bit slim, however Im sure if I would have asked for more clarification he would have.

The class is straightforward, if you do the work you'll get the grade. Every week consists of reading chapters from the book, and a YouTube video of the topic. You will be required to write weekly papers, and give feedback to your peers on the work they've completed.

Took this 5-week course and was surprised with the outcome It was not as much writing as anticipated. 3 discussion boards 300 words each with responses 200 words 1 essay 500-700 words total we had 6 assignments all weighted the same. He was always reachable and gave great feedback on my papers so I could improve during class. Highly recommend

Professor Brumit will give you good feedback about your assignments. Do your work and you will pass. He is easy to reach out. All the assignments are very straight forward. This was my first time taking an online class and he made it very easy to understand.

Summer Semester was fast paced and easy, everything was available to turn in early as well. He is very interested in seeing you improve if you're not a strong writer. Discussion boards are fun and the book is used occasionally. It is very helpful if you are unfamiliar with proper formats. No group projects, and participate to be counted present.

if you take notes this class will be easy, museum trips are included but not required. very interesting and entertaining.

He drops the lowest test grade. He offers extra credit for going to lectures at the museums and I suggest you go to them. He doesn't put notes up so you have to go to class. Just listen to everything he says during lecture and as long as you take good notes you will do well!

One of the only courses Ive taken for 8 weeks, by the end I wished I wouldve had him for an entire semester. He really cares about what hes doing and it shows in his feedback. During the 8-wk course he regularly made time for us to individually meet with him in his office for students to get feedback on papers before theyre due.

I took this for wintermester. Dr. Brumit is amazing and he definitely wants you to pass. This class was extremely easy for a winter class. There are two major papers, 500-700 words. All others are 150-300 words. He gives amazing feedback and cares about his students. The assigned readings are not too long. I hope my 1302 class is as easy as this!

This prof is AMAZING! Clear speaker, awesome funny lectures with pictures and videos. The only grades are from a few easy tests and a simple art paper. He is super laid back, understanding. Makes a lot of jokes about how short he is. No book used, no studying to do, just take notes as he speaks. I got a 100 in this class!

His lectures are very interesting, specific and funny. Make sure to take very specific notes and study them, you will fail all tests if you don't get everything he says. I would so take his class again.

Easiest class i had by far! A few quizzes here and there, but they aren't difficult at all. One essay at the end of the semester and many extra credit opportunities, I recommend 100%

Easy class to take, just be ready to write some essays. Your grade is determined on if you turned in the essays that he makes you write. He gives you time to write, and is willing to help you, many tutoring days to help you finish it.

I took this class during Maymester. Easy and interesting class. 5 DBs and responses to each for a total of 10 grades, each 10% of final grade. Prof Brumit grades very generously, only looking to make sure you understand the content and form an opinion. You will need to read the book/watch videos in order to cite. Bought book for $10 online (used)

Professor Brumit was so helpful in providing answers as to why points were deducted to any assignment, if any, and he is so willing to communicate about any issues or concerns. He had such constructive criticisms that helped me grow in my writing and I loved having him as my first online college course. I highly recommend him!

No tests. Participate in the discussion boards, be very specific when answering the questions in the discussion board. Be sure to respond to other posts. Definitely would take again.

Took Professor Brumit online during 5 week summer course. It was easy, no exams, just 6 discussion boards. 1 DB was 6 paragraphs, 2-6 were 4 paragraphs long. Textbook was used but you can bs your way through it even if you type your opinion in ur paper. The only thing he counts off is response to classmates & grammar. he is chill and EASY A.

I really enjoyed Prof Brumit's online class and I learned a lot. The material was interesting and not much work and he gives good and thoughtful feedback on submissions. He is not a tough grader at all and he responded to my questions quickly by email, usually within a day. I would take again for sure.

I liked this class a lot and Dr. Brumit was very kind and helpful when I had questions and he responded to emails quickly. I also really liked the content in the class and the topics covered. The topics we studied were great and meaningful. The work wasn't too much at all and I thought he graded easily.

I took Professor Brumit's 8 week English 1302 Class. It was straight to the point since it was only 8-weeks It was a total 6 assignments ( 3 Proposal Papers just a page long and 3 Essays usually 3 pages or less),Essays are based on stories in the book He tells you exactly what you need in every assignment. He's funny and laid back! 100% recommend.

I took his english2 in a fall semester online course. As long as you look at the grading rubric and follow it to the T, you will be golden! He is always giving feedback and really wants you to succeed. He is a little nit picky about grammar/mla format so be careful. I finished w/ a 96 w/out buying the text book, just look up poems/stories online.

Awesome professor, really nice and funny. Lectures were really simple and interesting, and half the time we watched documentaries. Tests were super easy and you'd get an A if you paid attention. One required paper over visiting an art museum, but ours was cancelled because of covid. Got stuck with 3 discussion boards instead :( easy A though

I took this as a online summer class and it was HARD but also far for a 5 week course. Dr. Brumit is very fair with graded and as long as you give him clear essays and cite your work you will be GOLDEN! Its a lot of writing but is a easy A if you want it!

Brumit provided great feedback on your assignments but it was a struggle for me to write in 3rd person so I was dinged a lot. Took his 5 week class and there were about 2 assignments due per week. Got an A.

Overall I would take this class again in a heartbeat. This class was an easy A which led to me achieving a 100 in the class. Just follow the criteria, go into much detail with references and I recommend writing the posts in third person ONLY. Take his class, you won't regret it.

He's a great professor! When you write an essay incorrectly, he doesn't just give you a bad grade, he makes sure to attach examples or notes that help your future essays. As long as you communicate when you're confused, then you'll do perfectly fine in his class! It's not a hard class either, so if you're thinking of choosing him, do it!

Honestly, best professor I have ever taken at TCC. He TRULY cares about his students. His assignments make things easy, clear, and add so much value to the course. If there is something you need to improve on, he gives you amazing feedback. He responds quickly and gets your work graded incredibly fast. Love Dr. Brumit!

This was a great class and he was very clear in all of his communication with me. He was very encouraging through all of his feedback on assignments and I genuinely feel I got more out of this class because of the serious but encouraging environment that Dr. Brumit provided.

He is super helpful and patient, he gives clear instructions for his assignments and also will clarify more when you need him to. just be punctual for class and your assignments, respectful, and put in your best effort

it was my first semester in college so I was nervous but he was super helpful to me and was the reason I've improved my writing. If you as for help, he tries the best he can. He gave me many resources to help improve my assignments. and he responded whenever I would message him with a question. overall an amazing educator and I highly recommend him

I was able to have hm for both ENGL1301 and HUMA1301. Very cool professor with clear guidelines. If you need help ask for it! He is willing to help students out. In Humanities just pay attention and take good notes. In English visit the writing center and his optional days if you need clarification.

Professor Brumit was super chill and nice, which helped a lot as a first-time college student! He gave us a total of 6 assignments and let us write on topics that interested us. And, if you had any questions about the assignment or wanted feedback, he would hold workshops specifically for that. Overall, I recommend you take him! :)

I took Professor Brumit for an online humanities wintermester and he is phenomenal. I had never taken a college class online before so I was a bit nervous about it but he made the experience awesome. He has very clear directions and if you follow the rubric exactly you will get an A. He gives fantastic feedback and is easy to get a hold of.

This class was super easy all because of the professor. His work is really easy if you apply yourself. He gives the resources needed and is good when it comes to emailing back. He is a little lenient when it comes to late work. He assigns work once a week, and the work is easy. I reccomend him for English 2

This professor was one of, if not the easiest professors I have taken so far. I got all 100 on his assignments. Just try your best in his class, pay close attention to the quality of your essay, and go to the writing center when you need help. He was also helpful and responsive to my emails. Take him if you can.
