Very nice guy, stats is hard, he doesn't let you use any notes in class and you have to memorize a lot, particuarlly in the multiple choice questions. I would take him over Mueller, but Parente would be my #1 choice.

Notes help a lot, by the time you take the test you KNOW all info. Teaches more like a High School teacher-slow, and willing to do anything so you do good. Makes class fun-funny prof.

Taught a Social Psyc-Special Topics class at the Graduate Level. Excellent class and an excellent professor. He is very helpful and he does make you work; however, he is there to help guide you. This was one of the tougher grad classes, but well worth it!

Special Topic: The Self. Excellent teacher. I took him for a minimester. Thorough, consistent, and understanding. Class flies by. Quiz after every class (open note). One paper and one group project. I'd def recommend!

Dr. Buckingham is a very good, thorough professor, his tests are straightforward. Show up to class and you'll do fine... the class is very dry though, and at one point he gave 7 examples for one subject, it's a little tedious. Otherwise, thumbs up.

Not an easy course and having three papers to write is quite a challenge. Quizzes are somewhat hard. Wouldn't recommend.

Quality teacher. Towson needs more of this guy. Had him for BehavStats. Presents this info clearly. thorough: textbook discussed almost cover to cover. Willing to help. Tests are moderately challenging. Homework every class, and he randomly grades about 5 throughout the course in order to keep you involved in class. You'll be happy if you take him.

dr. buckingham is so wonderful and helpful in every aspect of class. i hope towson hires more profs just like him. he looks like a gap ad.

This is a great teacher, I wish more were like him! Takes homework randomly and gives points. It adds up to an exam, do your homework, it keeps you involved in class. His lectures were well put together and extremely clear. If you have any trouble with this topic,take him,he will clear it up for you. Tests: multiple choice,short answer,essay-hard.

Hes very nice and very clear. Has a very nice soft voice that may make you sleepy. Fairly interesting class, mostly overheads. short written hws and short in class work. hear great things about him and stats. He can tolerate even the dumbest questions without showing a negative reaction, no idea how. Always seems nice and attentive to the class.

He is a great teacher. Doesnt assume anything about what a student knows and takes everyone step by step through problems. Randomly collects homework to enforce some attendance, but you get 1 make up for HW. Gives a sheet of the formulas on exams. Exams are MC, fill ins and 5 step hypoth testing questions.

Great teacher! Goes through problems slowly and step by step so that everyone can follow easily. Willing to answer questions and very helpful. Breaks complicated sections down to make them easier to understand. Gives you a formula sheet on the test so you don't have to memorize! Take stat with him!

Behav. Stats-this class is kinda hard. The material is boring. But he's a good teacher. Personally, you need to go to every class. You will miss alot if you dont go. He gives you a formula sheet which is nice for the exams. Collects hw randomly but that kinda sucks if you do good on one and not the one you turn in. Overall, good teacher!

Justin is the best prof ever!!!! He's so helpful and you only basically need to come to class to do well. Take this class - he's awesome! and cute!!!!

DO THE HOMEWORK. tests are straight forward and somewhat short. he'll help you with anything you need and truly wants for everyone to understand and do well. great professor, id highly recommend him

He is a good teacher. Social psych is alot of material, and the amount of information on his review sheets are a little rediculous. the tests are hard but as long as you study EVERYTHING on the review sheets, you'll do fine.

He is sooo nice i just want to give him a hug. his lectures are SO repetitive- reads from powerpoints and gives a research study- pretty boring. I did well on the assignments and papers but his exams are real tricky.. his review sheets are super long- got a B

He honestly is a lot of help. I had a lot going on during the duration of the class and he worked with me. He is kind of a push over though, sometimes doesn't know how to take control of the class. Lectures are boring but at least he cares about what he is lecturing on.

Not the most exciting class, but then again I don't like statistics to begin with. He definitely explains things well and makes it easy to understand if you pay attention and take notes. Collects homework randomly and grades for correctness, but the assignments aren't long at all. I'd recommend him.

He's an excellent professor. Statistics is considered a hard subject that a lot of people struggle with. He's a good professor to take for Behavioral Statistics. He's one of the most patient professors I ever had. He's very patient when people don't understand the concepts. He's very helpful and explains things clearly, and he's very nice.

i was dreading this class and got an A. he is so helpful and explains confusing material effectively. behavioral stat is not an easy class but he makes it easy. offers extra credit and is ALWAYS willing to help. 3 tests, a "cummulative" final, and randomly collects homework. if you have to take this class, take it with him!

Took him for 470 and 314. Very helpful and makes the topics very clear! I was in his research methods class over the summer and he broke up the research paper and study in to easy to understand and complete sections. If you have to take 470 take it with him! Made stat (which i was dreading!) very easy!

took him for behavioral stats (which i had failed twice before with other professors) and passed with a B+. he's very clear and makes the work easy. he'll tell you exactly what you need to know for the tests. do the HW, it'll help a lot.

Dr. Buckingham was great! Statistics can be intimidating but he really breaks it down and is clear about what you have to study for the exam. I am a visual learner so his use of the drawing problems out on the board was extremely helpful. Just make sure to ask him questions during his office hours if you have a big class section.

Definitely an easy class. He's very straightforward and explains everything. Only 3 tests, a quiz and a couple articles to read and answer questions on. He also offers an abundance of extra credit, just in case. Definitely take him if you get the chance.

GREAT professor, and very funny I really enjoyed having him for behavioral stats. If you come to class, take notes, and do the homework, you will get an A on the exams and in the class. He's very patient and always willing to help anyone who's struggling. He lets class out early a lot and very easy on the eyes.

He is so nice and helpful. I don't consider myself a statistics wiz, but I'm expecting a B or A in the class. He makes all concepts clear and is more than willing to go over things if you don't understand them right away. Attendance isn't mandatory but you need to go. He always lets you out early. DEFINITELY take his class.

He is the best math teacher I have ever had in my entire life. I was so nervous to take this class because I am horrible at math!!! I ended up with a 98 in the class because of how amazing of a teacher he was. His lectures were crystal clear and he always did reviews of the problems to help make sure we understood. Highly recommend him.

He knows his material very well so as long as you attend class and take notes from the awesome powerpoints, tests shouldn't be that hard. Several articles through out the semester but they aren't very hard either. Good sense of humor too!

Great professor! Great class! If you take Social Psyc take it with Buckingham. He is clear with his lectures, has keynotes, gives study guides, and is always willing to go over what you don't understand. They're 3 tests & the final with 4 very short article reviews to do. There are a few things in the text you need, but he tells you what they are.

Excellent professor. One of the best professors you can for courses like statistics. He explains concepts clearly, he's kind and very patient when people don't understand the statistics concepts and have questions.

Research Methods in Psychology is easily the hardest class I have ever taken in college, and this is coming from someone with a 3.7 GPA. You 100% need to know your Behavioral Statistics (PSYC212) information. But he is probably the best professor you can take this class with. But be prepared to do some work, because this class is hard! Good luck!

Statistics is considered a hard course by a lot of people,but Justin Buckingham is one of the best professors you can ever have for a statistics course.He explains concepts clearly, he's very patient with students, he's fair and knowledegable about the subject. I highly recommend him. He's excellent.

4 exams that are easy as long as you study the powerpoints. 4 small assignments that take an hour top for each and basically free points. Professor Buckingham is enjoyable and the class is interesting. Take!

Professor Buckingham is genuinely a nice person. I'm sitting in class as I write this too. He is helpful,clear and willing to help you do better. He is very knowledgable and makes Research methods so much easier. I wish I would have taken him for stats. There is nothing bad about his teaching skills. Seriously an anazing guy!

Dr. Buckingham is seriously amazing! Behavioral Statistics is typically considered a difficult course, and for someone who's never taken a stats course before this, I had no idea what to expect. Take good notes, do all of the homework assignments and keep up with your formulas. Would definitely recommend!

Dr. Buckingham is my favorite professor. He is very clear and concise, and if you need individual help he is flexible with meeting with students. To understand the material, you have to attend class as well. I HIGHLY recommend taking his class if you are required to take a stats class.

Psyc 212 has been very hard for me. I failed it twice and got a D the third time. Luckily Towson let me take it a fourth time. I'm so glad they did because Dr. Buckingham is one of the best teachers I've had. He really takes the time to explain what's going on. Definitely take him for stats!

Stats is a hard class, you have to work to get a good grade. Dr Buckingham helps you a lot. He is very organized and always willing to help. He responds to emails very fast. He gives out homework every class and goes over it in the beginning of the next class. Tests are problem solving and multiple choice. Study and you should do well.

I hate math but he made this class bearable. Homework questions every night but they help to boost your grade in the end. He also gives a full formula sheet for every test. Extra credit is available but it should be done in the early part of the semester.

Gives online quizzeschapter quizzes, so be sure to read as they are done on Blackboard. Also he does have a dry sense of humor, but is very helpful and the class is interesting towards the end.

I loved this class and learned a lot. He is very knowledgeable about this topic and refers to several different experiments and research to back up what he is teaching. His test are easy because he teaches in a way where you learn just by listening, but taking notes is also important.

Professor Buckingham is really sweet and makes the work comprehensive. There is homework after almost every class, but it helps boost your grade and gives you extra practice. If you study the material you will be fine! Newer material often builds off of older material in this class, so make sure you really know what you are doing.

He's really nice and maybe the slightest bit awkward, but in an admirable way. His lectures are always interesting and include many examples of studies to back up everything you learn. His tests are an easy A if you study!

Interesting and straightforward class. He gives study guides for tests. Fill them out, study them, and you will do great on the exams. Attendance is not mandatory, but he gives easy short writing assignments during class that are unannounced. So, if you skip class, you could miss those points. Gives extra credit for participating in psyc studies.

4 simple, straight forward exams. All the questions come from the study guide. Just go over the ppt.s, and there are certain topics that you need to look up from the book, but he will specify those. Interesting, fun lectures. Some in class written activities which are a 5 minute thing- total breeze. I really liked Dr. Buckingham & his class. Easy A

Good professor!

He's a very good teacher. Class can be boring at times, but he knows what he is talking about. He does have surprise in class graded assignments so don't miss class if you don't have to.

He's really into teaching and tries to clearly explain all concepts for all individuals to understand. He designs his lectures so well and he makes it super easy to follow the logic, which can be lost in other professors. As long as you go to class and write down everything he writes down, you should ace the exams. He also encourages ppl to meet up

If you hate stats and/or have failed it before, take him. He's like winning the lottery. He clearly cares about his students. I took him over the summer. Best decision of my life. He's a God-send to this university.

I'm terrible at math & was scared to take this, but he goes through all the steps very clearly & makes the material sooo easy to understand. Doesn't keep track of attendance but honestly, try to go since he doesnt post any lectures online. He's available outside of class and is incredibly sweet. Honestly, best prof for stats so definitely take him

Dr Buckingham is like a nerdy dad and tells bad dad jokes during class that make you chuckle. He clearly explains everything so make sure you show up to class. You need to get the textbook because thats where all the homework questions on blackboard come from. SPSS is a pain, but he makes sure you know how to use it. I'll definitely take him again.

Professor Buckingham is the best!! He made statistics so easy to understand- his lectures are easy to follow and if you take good notes, you have exactly what you need for the exams. Phenomenal, super-sweet teacher who makes class a lot of fun. Definitely take him.

Attendance is not mandatory, but he goes over EXACTLY how to do the homework in class. He responds to emails very quickly and gives a fair amount of homework. I am awful at math, but his teaching style made me feel like i wasn't. If you want to learn and get a good grade, take him.

Everything is easy to understand, homework is light, he offers extra credit through research pool. You do need the textbook for homework problems. Good class

Easy class! Attendance isn't mandatory and he posts all of the slides on blackboard. I didn't use the book at all, you may need it if you don't attend class but otherwise you can get all of the information straight from the lecture. Gives study guides for exams (which aren't cumulative). He's really knowledgeable on the material, take him!!

Topic was social comparison The content was interesting and the class seemed easy for a 400 level class. He is super nice his lectures are easy to understand.

Homework assigned regularly after every class but they do not take long to complete. Test are not hard- explains what you must review Does not move ahead unless everyone understands the materials being covered during that lecture. Content builds up from class to class

Math has never been my strong suit, but I took this class as a 5 week course over the beginning of summer 2020. Lectures were easy to understand, he explains and give many examples, and the homework definitely prepares you for the exams. I got a B for the course. Definitely recommend if you struggle with math.

Dr. Buckingham is a great professor and is really nice. This course was honestly so easy if you just put in the time for it. The Inquisitives are not hard and neither are the assignments. There were no exams, just written papers which is really great! Would definitely recommend him.

I would 10/10 recommend him. I am taking him again this semester for another class because I enjoyed his style so much. His work is not overly challenging, but it is also useful in helping you learn the material. Overall, he does a great job in making sure you know the material without draining the life out of you.

Justin is a great professor, but you have to meet him halfway. He gives assignments to check how much you're learning and so forces you to learn in the process. You will definitely get something out of this class, but there's weekly homework and some papers. He knows his stuff and I have had good experiences when contacting him outside of class.

Justin is really that guy man! Hes very chill and soft spoken which makes him such a good professor. His exams can be challenging if you dont really study but if you study and GO TO HIS OFFICE HOURS then youll be fine. Hes very respectful as well, trust me take this guy!

I LOVE PROFESSOR BUCKINGHAM! As a person who is TERRIBLE at math, I was actually able to understand all the concepts he taught us and never felt intimitated to ask questions. He would always go back and review if we needed. I barely passed basic statistics but got a 92 in this class. He is also such a sweet man. Homework every class but it helps.

Professor Buckingham is the best! Funny guy and makes class interesting. Tests are pretty easy as long as you know the information. He also has a really helpful TA.

I took behavioral statistics with him in the summer. He is a very nice guy, flexible and a great teacher. As someone who has always struggled with math, he made the concepts and the material look so simple and was always available for help. If you need to take behavioral statistics, take it with Dr. Buckingham!

attendance isn't mandatory but if you go you're saving yourself time outside of class to catch up. dr Buckingham is an amazing lecturer and makes sure that the class follows along and explains concepts thoroughly. homework every class on bb with 2 attempts, 4 exams including final, 2 assignments. review material online SUPER helpful

I am so bad at math and was scared to take this class, but Professor Buckingham made it so easy to understand. His office hours were always helpful and he taught in a way that didn't confuse me

I hate math and thought this class was gonna be really hard but professor Buckingham made it really accessible for me. He makes sure everyone is on track and is always willing to go over anything that's needed. He wants all his students to succeed and is always there to help if you're struggling. Amazing professor.

Highly recommend him for this course!! There's HW for almost every class but they're easy and take under 15 mins max. Gives you a cheat sheet for each exam, provides a study guide and MC practice questions too. Very helpful during class if you're confused. Attendance isn't mandatory but go to class, the notes aren't posted online

As someone who isn't too mathy, I was intimidated by taking this class, but Dr. B made everything really easy to follow along with. His teaching style is very clear, and as long as you pay attention and take notes you should do well on the exams. There are 4 exams (you can have a note-sheet for each one), daily homework, and 2 assignments.
