Professor Huft is awesome and makes the learning experience very fun. He really cares that you understand he material and if you don't like to show up to class or listen to lectures then this may not be for you. But the lectures are fun! I love this class!
Class attendance is extremely important because he is very engaging with his lessons. You have to read the text book outside of class but his lecture makes the material more clear. He gives pop quizzes but also offers extra credit if you don't do so hot. Overall, he is very passionate about his field and it shows through in his teaching.
Attend class regularly to receive credit. No Homework was assigned other than three small research papers of least three pages long, but gives you the entire semester to work on them . He is really passionate in what he teaches and makes the learning environment fun. Overall, I enjoyed taking his class and I highly recommend him!
Great guy, really passionate about the psychology field. Assigns 3 papers throughout the entire semester, but they're honestly pretty easy. He also assigns a bunch of extra credit, so make sure you do those. Solid professor, 10/10 would take again
This professor is one of the best professors I've ever had. He makes sure that we absorb the material in a way that is useful outside the classroom. Don't buy the book it's not necessary. Great class!
Great professor. Shows a great sense of care for his students and passion for the subject. Engages the students in discussion and makes you feel like part of a team
I really liked this professor! He makes everything super fun and gets the class involved. He also offers a ton of extra credit!! TAKE HIM!
He has so much passion for the material. Always makes it fun to be in class and to participate. My favorite professor for psychology so far. Not an easy A but also not an extremely hard class. Definitely recommend everyone to take him! And his officer hours are super helpful
The class is all lecure pretty much, but the reviews are comprehensive and its always clear what's going to be on the test .
Hard teacher, but incredibly understanding and he is genuinely there for you to see you succeed. Warned though, THIS IS NOT YOUR AVERAGE CLASS. He will make you learn !
Being a stand-up guy makes him a very kind teacher and makes you want to participate and able to learn in a safe environment.
Great Professor. Makes the class fun and interesting, provides extra credit opps that make A relation to the subject material.
If you're open to new learning experiences, I definitely recommend this class. 3 papers, 2 quizzes, and 2 exams. You definitely have to be more conscious about the work you put into this class, but you definitely get a say on how it might possibly look. Overall, a different class, but an enlightening experience.
Dr. Huft is an incredible professor! I learned so much from his lectures and he makes social psychology fun. He is a fair grader, but attendance is necessary if you want to do well in his class. He created a positive atmosphere for all students and there was not one lecture where I didn't smile or laugh. One of my favorite professors ever!
I highly recommend Professor Huft. He keeps you engaged and presents material in a creative way. He genuinely cares about student success and has fair expectations of his students. I really enjoyed his PSYC 351 course, one of my favorite classes.
Highly recommend taking his PSYC 351 class! He makes the class fun and engaging. He truly cares for his students' success and he offers a ton of extra credit!
Is lecture heavy but he makes them interesting and relevant to our lives. 3 essays but not difficult. He is willing to answer all questions. Very knowledgeable. Has quizzes but he usually tells you when they are. Amazing professor, makes the material fun to learn. Would recommend to all
Professor Huft is probably one of the best instructors I've ever come across. His lectures are fun and thought provoking and applies them to real life. Attendance and participation are a big component in passing the class, but the class is already so great you wouldn't even think about skipping. He also really likes crows and takes music requests.
Of all of the professors I have had in psychology, Mr. Huft is the finest. I loved this class, not only because the subject is interesting, but because Mr. Huft taught it in a way that encouraged learning, discussion, teamwork, and critical thinking. He made his class challenging but fun. The opportunities he provided for extra credit were abundant.
Great guy with a good sense of humor. Ultra liberal but no problem if you're an open minded individual. Cares about his students and gives plenty of extra credit. Easy A if you pay attention and take good notes
Prof Huft has so much energy you will wake up in this class. He is very nice but sometimes he can be strict too (follow the syllabus and do your readings before asking questions) so dont step on his toes! There were a lot easy papers and two semi-difficult ones toward the end. The midterm was written and in groups. He posts the lectures, helpful
Definitely take professor Huft! Great team environment for students. He gives two quizzes and two exams. Attendance matters. 3 flexible topic 3 pagers. Plenty of extra credit opportunities. Not overwhelming at all. You wont regret taking him! One of my favorite professors in the psych dept.!
Just take him, he gives an interesting lecture and makes an effort to get to know his students. Info you learn favors real world application, which start making you more aware of the world. I would take him again and you won't regret taking his class.
Took him for Fall 2017. Excellent professor, makes class really enjoyable and lectures interesting. Lectures come straight from the book. Provides ton of xtra credit. 2 exams, 2 quizzes, 3 easy papers. Attendance counts toward grade so don't skip class and be on time. Takes attendance right at the beginning of class. Take him you won't regret it!
Professor Huft was extremely helpful throughout the semester and is really engaged with the lectures. His class was easy to follow along in because of his hands-on activities and examples. I would definitely take him again, he's super funny and lectures were never boring!
Professor Huft is humorous, intelligent, and passionate. He offers lots of extra credit that will benefit you, making it easy to pass the class. One group midterm, and one final. He makes lectures very enjoyable, and makes the information very relatable to daily life. I would definitely recommend this class and Prof. Huft as a professor!
Great professor
Great professor! If you want to learn something take him! He is truly all about the students, which you do not get from a lot of professors.
Professor is very passionate and tries to get the whole class to engage in discussions about the material being taught in class. Gives Extra Credit which is beneficial in the long run. Easy Assignments and the Exams are Easy if you study.
Huft is awesome, humorous, energetic, witty, creative and productive. Literally everything a student looks for in a professor. Class consisted of 3 paper which were to be at least 3 pages each. Huft graded them literally within a day or two and if you cited your work and content was thorough, you'll get an A. 1 midterm and 1 final. Extra credit too
Loved this course and Professor Huft! He is funny and makes sure we understand the material before moving on to what's next. There are ten 2-page papers you have to write, but the topics are fun and only the last few are harder to write. I definitely recommend taking Professor Huft, he gives tons of extra credit too!
Professor Justin Huft really cares about his students. Gives out a lot of extra credit throughout the semester. His test are based on the study guides. He also has his entire class discuss as a community, if there are any concerns or suggestions. He is very open to what his students have to say. He wants his students to learn in the easiest way.
Professor Huft created a learning environment that was different from other professors. It might take some getting used to but in the end you'll wonder why other professors don't teach like him. This isn't a very hard class because he makes you want to go to class and learn. His type of teaching might not be for everyone but give him a chance.
Hands down... Take him!!! Best class of my college career. HAVE to show up to every class, but you'll want to, trust me. You'll find tests and papers easy bc he makes learning fun(what a concept)!
Professor Huft is one of the best professors I've taken. He's knowledgeable and passionate about the material. He engages very well with his students and makes it a fun environmemt where you want to come to class and are look forward to learn. There's 10 written papers, 1 group midterm, final. You've got to study, but it's worth taking his class.
Does not post up lecture slides and goes kinda fast but is a GREAT professor. He tries to make sure his classes are run fairly so he allows the class to made decisions and the general consensus is how the class goes.
Professor Huft is a very good professor, but you gotta know the material. You'll find yourself using the material outside of class, since one will start seeing certain life situations in a different matter based on the concepts used in class. 10 written papers, I group midterm, and attendance is necessary since he doesn't post slide shows.
His teaching style is different than any other professor I've had at CSUF. It's very much a "group" think tank style, so if you don't like to participate, you probably won't enjoy it as much as I did. He is incredibly clear on what he expects from you and actually helps his class prepare for all exams!!! Would take any class he teaches!!!
He likes participation but does not force it upon students. His lectures are really fun. I can listen to him talk all day. His class includes 1 Midterm, 3 three-page papers, and 2 pop quizzes. He gives A LOT of extra credit. Whole class is out of 100.
This class was a solid choice. His lectures are really intruging, however he does move fast. Open to students learning and allows input and makes it a collective learning enviornment. He is very caring about his students. Ten 2 page papers, 1 midterm and final. Offers extra credit. A lot of information but he makes it easy to understand.
Professor Huft is a great professor. He talks a lot but likes input from others. He is a patient, understanding, and funny person. His class is well thought out. I enjoyed all the exercises we have done in class. He gives many opportunities for extra credit. You must read for exams and papers. His powerpoint slides help with studying.
I learned so much! Professor Huft is the reason why I declared sociology as my second major. Sadly, he is a psychology professor so I would recommend him to all the psychology students. For this class, we wrote a total of 8 papers, which were short and fun to write. There are 2 books that are mandatory. Overall, I liked his positive vibe.
Prof Huft is the best professor I've had at CSUF! He really cares about his students, and he makes class fun and enjoyable while also being able to relate the information to us in a comprehensible way. He is really funny and likable, but he does hold his students to a very high standard. Read the book, take good notes, participate, and you'll pass.
Best PSYC professor I've had-- lectures are engaging, few papers, lots of extra credit, approachable professor, barely touched my textbook and you ACTUALLY learn. His lectures are relevant and his semester progresses logically. Sends out poll on what you want lecture content to look like and follows the majority. Great class, great professor- 10/10
Professor Huft was great! His lectures are anything but boring. He engages the class and makes everyone feel comfortable enough to participate. The papers are easy as long as you meet page requirements you will receive credit. There are two pop quizzes one mid semester and one at the end. Easy 10 points if you pay attention. Overall, great class!
This course is extremely fun! His lectures are not boring at all, he has a sense of humor. Great examples which relate to the lectures. The assignments are not difficult, time consuming but doable. One thing he dislikes is tardiness!!! don't be late! Huft treats the class as a community, your word matters.
Professor makes the class fun and interactive! We are not just students in a class but a community and he really values our opinions. Assignments are not hard. Quizzes and tests are passable if you just pay attention to the lectures. Don't miss class and come on time.
Definitely recommend! He is an amazing teacher and makes the lectures so easy to understand. He has a great sense of humor and makes student engage in lectures. I would take his class again in a heart beat.
Professor Huft was an enjoyable professor who made lectures interesting by relating the content to relevant events, incorporating humor, and encouraging questions and discussion amongst classmates. He gives a lot of extra credit opportunities and the class isn't too hard.
He's such an AMAZING professor. He makes you feel apart of the class. He always makes us laugh in class and it is definitely the class that you've been waiting to be in all day. You definitely have to show up to class to get the notes you need in order to pass the exams. There are 2 exams and multiple 2 page papers. Overall, my favorite professor!
He definitely makes lecture interesting and makes it applicable to relevant current issues. Always has great examples for lectures that make it easy for us to understand. I do appreciate that before every class, we have our "daily appreciation" in which we state on thing we are grateful for. Def instills a sense of community within the classroom.
Extremely enjoyable class with a fun atmosphere. Professor Huft takes it upon himself to create an atmosphere where you feel comfortable sharing your opinion. Attending class is mandatory as lectures aren't posted online but trust you will want to attend class, he is a funny guy.
Professor Huft is a great lecturer. He brings an awesome energy to the class. However, a decent portion of your grade is dependent upon random attendance credit for participation. There are 2 exams, 3 small papers, and 2 pop quizzes. Go to class and you will pass. He does not post his lectures so takes notes and use the book to help.
Awesome dude! Not that hard of a class, but its a good idea to pay attention and read!
Great Class would take him again. Do what your suppose to do and can't get less than a B
Professor Huft is awesome! He creates an environment all about the students and makes the material easy to understand. He also gets everyone involved and keeps everyone entertained.
Took him Fall 2017, chill professor. The only thing that was hard was attempting to write down all the notes, he goes through them quickly. A couple of 2 page papers, but they are easy to do. Overall a good professor
Professor Huft is an excellent teacher! Makes us participate in class but it actually benefits the students. Everything about the class is straight forward and in the syllabus. Would take his class again!
Professor Huft is one of the best Psychology professors I've taken! His lectures are very interesting, you'll never want to skip class. Creates a learning environment in which students can easily engage during lectures. Would definitely take again.
This professor is amazing! He makes class very interesting and plus he is funny. You do need to attend class because you will miss a lot of information and extra credit opportunities. He is very straight forward at explaining and participation is important!
Huft is an excellent professor! His lectures are very informative, so don't skip class. Creates a learning environment in which students can easily engage during lectures.
Professor Huft has great lectures that make you want to regularly attend class. He keeps you interested in the topic and never makes it boring. He is pretty big on participation so be sure to raise your hand and get involved in the conversation. He does go pretty fast on his lectures so be ready to write down notes pretty quickly.
Professor Huft is a very interesting individual! His lectures are full of information. Participation matters in his class. A couple 2 page papers. Midterm and final. Lots of extra credit! I would take him again!
Professor Huft is funny and his class is always interesting. He makes dense information easier to understand. Attendance is mandatory and there are a lot of short essays. He views the class as a community rather than a professor and student type of environment. Make sure to write fast because he goes through his lectures pretty fast.
Attendance is a must in my opinion. Professor Huft goes over subjects thoroughly during lecture. There is plenty of reading which reinforces what the lectures are about. You really have to know what you're talking about in order to get a good grade on the exams. Homework is very easy. He makes lectures fun and engaging.
This was professor Huft's first time teaching PSYC110 and he did not disappoint! Every class was very interesting and engaging. He truly cares about what you take away from the class and how you can apply it to your own life. Strict on no technology and does not post ppts, so good notes are important. Definitely not the easiest, but very rewarding.
Participation is important in this class. But, its worth it because the class is very fun. He won't let you take notes with your laptop and the PowerPoints are not online either so you have to take notes in class carefully. As long as you pay attention in class, then you won't have a problem with the tests. Also, there are pop quizzes.
Huft is the funniest professor ever. His lectures consist of a lot of discussion between students but his lectures are always interesting . He is so easy to approach and he really cares about his students. No homework except 3 papers that aren't easy, but not too difficult either. He is young and upbeat and so fun take him for maximum entertainment
I took his PSYC 110 course; it's his first time teaching this class, but I'm learning so much from him! He makes sure you can apply this to the real world by giving us three relevant topic papers. He genuinely cares about his students and makes sure we all individually get attention during class. Super understanding and kind. Love him!
Great teacher. Makes class very enjoyable. As long as you do the work (very few assignments that are spaced out nicely) and pay attention (a couple of pop quizzes that should not be difficult if you pay attention) it shouldn't be a stressful class. High recommend this teacher.
I believe this was more of an interactive class and that participation and attendance matters. He doesn't post any of his lectures online, so you would have to attend class in order to get them. The lectures are pretty straight to the point, and really easy to understand. There are only 3 essays for this class which are very easy and 2 exams.
He is a really interesting and fun professor. He makes really funny jokes to make the environment a relaxing for the students to be more comfortable to ask questions. I really have a good time learning from my professor. :)
I wasnt sure how this class was going to turn out but im happy to say its been a fun experience. Most of the lectures are filled with a combination of him presenting his powerpoints and class-wide discussions. If youre lucky, hell bring you outside to yell at crazy on-campus preachers. You should probably bring your sense of humor to class.
Great professor to take psychology with. His lectures are thorough and precise. Make sure to attend so you know exactly what is going on!
I took Justin because of all of the reviews on here, but I will tell you what everyone else failed to. Yes his lectures are interesting and he can be funny, BUT, he's actually pretty rude and condescending to students and seems bothered whenever anyone asks a questions for clarification. Many students never asked questions to avoid feeling stupid.
Justin is really funny & engaging with his students. However- he is strict, doesn't give any feedback on assignments, & doesn't really go out of his way to help students personally. When someone asks a questions or when I went up to him after class, he kind of seems annoyed. Overall, he is a great instructor though. He always made me laugh :)
One of the funniest, down to earth professors you will ever have. His lectures and in class discussions are very engaging and will always keep you interestd. Attending class & reviewing your notes is a must if you want a good grade, there are some pop quizzes. But, he gives MANY opportunities for help/clarification in and out of class. TAKE HIM!
Proffesor Huft is an okay professor. There was never a dull moment in his class. He really makes you work for your grade. He is really strict on APA format, so make sure you do his assignments correctly or he'll take off points. There is limited extra credit offered. Does NOT provide study guides, expect to review ALL of your notes :/
I loved this class! He is clear on what is expected on tests, and he is willing to help students who are struggling in the class; it is also obvious that he cares about his students success. Professor Huft created a fun learning environment. I wish there were more material to be graded on to improve grades besides the two main test and two papers.
If you think you might have days to skip the class don't take him. He does not provide powerpoint nor like students take notes when he lectures. Good luck with getting any information in regards to the exams. His extra credits only worth 1 point and he offers about 5 to 6. Get ready to read the book line by line.
Huft is a great professor. He is funny and very open minded. His midterm was very simple if you studied hard for it- his final was HARD. His exams are 95% lecture 5% Text. He lectures straight from the book so honestly just focus on the lecture. He has pop quizzes that ARE HORRIBLE. Really killed my grade so I wouldnt take him again. he is nice!
Prof Huft is an amazing teacher. His lectures are fun and easy to understand. He is available during office hours and will help you if you reach out to him. His essays are easy if you can assimilate class material and concepts and combine them with your chosen topic. He does give pop quizzes so READ the chapters on the syllabus and manage your time
Huft is quite the joker. His comedy during lectures makes going to class amusing since funny moments happen almost every time. He makes his view on things clear during class which leads to rants but it shows he has passion for the material. Only gripe is his wack grading system which makes every assignment worth two pennies. An excellent choice!
The funniest and most genuine professor. He actually cares about his students as people, not just random faces. Be careful, only two tests and two papers. No other assignments for points. He has dozens of extra credit opportunities. No study guides for exams so make friends in class to get a study group is highly recommended. Participation is fun!
Wonderful professor who really cares about his students. You will do well as long as go to class regularly and study. Everything you need to know is on his powerpoint lecture so study! There were two exam (midterm & final), 2 papers and 2 pop quizzes. There's EC offered so make to take advantage of those because they really help your grade.
Justin has been one of my favorite professors I have ever had. He makes his class very open and easy to participate in- I am usually pretty quiet in class but I felt comfortable to. His class is a bit difficult, but he offers extra credit assignments. He starts class every day with playing music, and I think that's pretty cool!
Professor Huft is a really cool professor. This class always makes me laugh and the topics are extremely interesting. Make sure to go to class to stay up to date on course material. Lots of opportunities for extra credit. Id recommend taking this class with Professor Huft.
One of the most amazing professors I've had at CSUF. He is hilarious and thrives on student participation. I am not usually very outgoing, but his lectures make me want to participate and give my insight. Amazing course!
10/10 Professor. Took his emotions 350 and would recommend to anyone! Such a fun class, not many assignments but the ones he does assign are fun and you get to learn about yourself. As a professor has excellent and thorough, also very personable and chill
Professor Huft is the best! He makes his lecture enjoyable and time passes by so quickly. I am not a sociology major, I am a CS major but he accommodated to me so I could understand the material as well as my other classes mates. Take him for any sociology classes, you would be stupid not to. He does as much as he can to make sure you pass
Prof. Huft related the class material to everyday examples to better understand the class material read the ch. Assigned before the class to be better prepared for the lectures (doesnt like technology in class so print out lectures or write them out) Midterm & a final both online (read&study &will get an A) and 2 papers EXTRA CREDIT IS GIVEN
Very caring and understanding professor, and will do the best to make sure students feel well. Lectures are always entertaining and time goes by fast. Exams were not bad, just make sure you study and understand the lectures. He does seem a bit intimidating to approach, but is overall extremely helpful.
I thought this class was going to be an easy A but I was wrong. Youre graded on 1 midterm, 1 final, and 2 papers. If you miss either assignments, you will not pass the class. Does not provide study guides because he believes it worsens your grade. I wouldnt take him if youre looking for an easy A class.
Listen yall Professor Huft is a phenomenal lecturer. He electrifies the room and does his very best to make the material as digestible as possible. HOWEVER, I would not recommend his class. He expects you to know so much for the exams and I find it unfair. I understand we are all in college and must be challenged, but it is ridiculous.
You're graded on 1 paper, 1 midterm, 1 paper, and 5 discussion boards (he did this instead of paper #2 since we had to move online). He doesn't tell you whats on exams bc he believes if he does, it'll set you up for failure. I think he's overall rude and doesn't care for his students to help improve their grade. Really pay attention in class.
Took him for 2 classes; passed both. He genuinely cares about your academic environment and wants to see you succeed. Lectures are interesting, engaging, and easy to follow if you pay attention. Both classes I took had 2 essays, a midterm, and a final. For the essays, you should be fine as long as you demonstrate an understanding of the material.
It says textbook required but you can get away with just following the powerpoints. Participation will help you to better understand concepts and class activities are actually really fun and entertaining! He lets people share personal stories and gives great advice but doesn't stray away too far from the lecture.
Really enjoyed his class! However it is not easy! I studied for his exam and failed it! Dont be discouraged though, just put in the effort and you should be fine! He makes class interesting and not boring at all !!
Professor Huft is one of the best professors I've ever taken. He is so funny and makes his lectures so fun and interesting. He cares about his students and will do anything to help you out. Will forsure miss this class.
I got to take professor Huft twice and I wish I could have taken him more times. He goes above and beyond for what it is to be a professor. If you can make it a priority to have him teach you. He is a fair grader, but do the assignments EXACTLY as he says READ THE SYLLABUS.
Don't take his laid back and relatable style for laziness or expect to get an easy A! He really cares about what he is teaching and makes EVERYTHING so relatable. It's hard to fail that class. Just show up! Also, he was the BEST professor who handled the virtual transition for COVID-19 the best. He gives you honest advice and everyone matters.
Professor Huft has been one of my favorite professors at CSUF. You don't have tons of points as the grade is based off of 2 exams and 2 papers, make sure to take his extra credit offers. Interesting class but a lot of content so don't procrastinate. Don't be late to his class.
If you miss one assignment, you have no way to make-up the points. He is not an approachable professor. Tells students straight out if they miss an assignment he will not make an exception for them. The class is out of one-hundred points so your grade relies entirely on the paper and two exams. Lectures are difficult to keep up with.
Pretty rigid with grading. Exams were not too easy either. The two papers (he scrapped one of them bc online semester) are easy points! Utilize office hours and TA's. Extra credit will be your best friend. Read the textbook and lectures IN DETAIL and you'll get A's on the tests! Interesting & engaging topic so studying isn't too bad. Make friends.
Awesome professor! He makes the lectures super intersting, attendance isn't mandatory but the classes are super interactive it makes you want to go! There are a couple of tests and lots of extra credit opportunities, overall 10/10!
Professor Huft was really helpful in making the transition from in-person lectures to online, he still continued live lectures which were appreciated. Utilize his extra credit opportunities and read the book. He does not provide a study guide for exams but lectures are detailed enough that it should not be a problem. He is passionate and helpful.
He is sooo cool, understanding, and a good grader. Wish I can take him agin for another class. You will not regret taking the class.
This was my favorite professor in my college experience! He is so thoughtful and thought provoking. He is truly a professor who cares for his students. Also great taste in music. Sad I took him my last semester, or I would have taken more classes with him.
Took two classes with this Professor and got the same grade. Only two tests and a paper. Graded easy on the paper, tests werent bad. Many extra credit opportunities but didnt seem worth it with my schedule. Overall a great Professor with great lectures. Just know its kinda hard because the limited points.
Prof. Huft is a great professor; especially with the insanity of the world right now. Though we're only graded on 3 things (a midterm, final, & paper) it was relatively easy and he's not a tough grader. He also offers EC to give you that extra boost your grade might need. His lectures are short but offer great coverage of the what was on the test!
Was an OK class, 1 paper, midterm, final. Some EC opportunities, not worth it AT ALL like a 3 page paper for ONE point, no thanks. Not much to grade on. Wish it was more textbook based and not what he thought. Take the class if you need the units.
A few discussions and tests. The lectures were on average 20-minutes long. Pretty easy class, the answers for the exams were online.
Professor Huft's class was not too difficult. Although the course was not graded by many things it was only graded on a scale of up to 100 points. if you fail one of his exams and did poorly on his paper you have no chance of passing his course. I recommend studying for his exams too since they were not easy had 5 choices per question.
This professor was really not one to give a good rating. There is no type of support when exams come up, meaning no study guide. Extra credit was hardly offered, and it would be one point. He is very strict on nothing being graded after the due date. He also acted like he was above all of us. I recommend you find another professor if credit needed.
There was zero structure, none of the assignments were posted as reminders, everything was due at noon, and he's constantly bombarding you with messages about why you haven't posted yet when there's still time. Based on 100 points, so every assignment counts, and if you don't do good on the tests or papers your grade will definitely drop!
This class is pretty easy! The class is graded on a few things, but you'll be fine if you follow along with lectures! The discussion boards are due at noon but he is kind enough to send reminders to those that have not yet completed them. He also provides opportunities for extra credit! The class I took was asynchronous but I still enjoyed it.
The class is graded on a few things. All the discussion posts are 1 pt. If you don't post it on time, you will get half the points, dropping you 20%. The papers make or break your grade. He doesn't give good feedback on papers.
Don't listen to ANY bad reviews. Discussions do matter but completing them is NOT hard just do it before due and u will receive a point. He gives SO many extra credit opportunities and wants u to pass. Majority of the work in class, 1 easy paper, 2 quizzes and final. The material ur tested on is straight from his lectures which I LOVE A CLEAR PROF.
I took his class online, and it was pretty easy. We had weekly discussions and two very heavy papers to write. He is easygoing, though, and his quizzes and exams are straightforward as they correspond with the lectures and assigned textbook.
Took him for Personality in the summer online, which I would highly recommend. Grading is completely fair, quizzes are simple, and tests are fine just go over the lectures. Towards the end of the course, you can actually choose your grade depending on whether you feel like you've earned it, which is very cool.
great professor. the class is straightforward, discussions every week, a couple quizzes and then some easy-ish papers. would recommend!
He is very kind and cares about his students doing well in course, his lectures are short but engaging and gets to the point. Turn in all assignments on time and you will do well. Only con would be his TAs since they seem to grade differently and be strict at times.
Great professor! Workload easy to manage and learned a lot. You can tell he wants his students to succeed. Two papers which were graded a bit intensely but other than that amazing course and professor! Take his class
Professor Huft's PSYC331 class is straightforward and engaging. Discussions, quizzes, and papers make up the grading, but he provides helpful feedback and extra credit opportunities. unstuck study was a great study tool alongside the lectures. Overall, an enjoyable class!
I was expecting this class to be TOUGH but i loved watching is lectures and each lecture had a lot of enthusiasm and energy put into it so it wasn't boring to watch and learn. His quizzes are pretty straight forward. The only reason i ended with a C is because my papers weren't written that well but that's on me. He is a very encouraging professor!
