I hated Mr. Moon at first however he really grew on me over the semester. His lectures are really boring and you have to go every class however the homework is very easy. All tests are multiple choice and he reads the test and answers to you the class before. He truly cares about the students and wants everyone to succeed in the course.

There was homework due before almost every class but it was super easy and as long as u put in effort then u got a 4/5. The tests were easy he gave really good and helpful review days before the tests. The test questions were real life example questions. Super hard class to fail.

Moon is literally the easiest grader in history and is really lazy so the class is very easy. I've taken him for 2 classes now and his lectures are so boring however you don't really need to pay attention. He's funny sometimes and is very nice and understanding. He makes class mandatory however if you email him before and he won't count it.

Loved his class! Took the fear of the dreaded course away. Made it simple- actually wants you to pass and do good. TA's messed up a lot, but he was very helpful in figure out what with wrong. Cares about the well being of students and understands that seniors are piled with a ton of work towards the end of semester.

Professor Moon was probability the best professor I have had at the University of Alabama in all four years. He is well respected and has great prior knowledge of the business world. He is always willing to help and is easily accessible outside of the classroom. Definitely take Professor Moon if you have the chance.

Justin Moon is a really good professor especially for the GBA 490 class. The other professors make it super difficult but Justin is really helpful and as long as you show up and do your work it isn't bad at all. J-Moon is the MAN! His class tends to be far more interesting than others that I have taken. He barely ever gives homework depending on the specific class you take, and when there is, its really easy. He also is just genuinely a good dude. Would 1000% take another class with him, and would definitely recommend taking him if you can.

Taking GBA 490 over summer 1, he makes it easy to follow despite the heavy load due to the short time. Is willing to work with you if something comes up & answer questions. Handwritten notes can be used on tests, telling you what's on the test. Highly recommend it, was worried about passing but he stated as long as you attend class you will pass.

I CAN'T imagine taking anyone but Moon for this class. I took this as a summer 1 class with 3 other classes and it was a breeze. He genuinely wants his students to do well and structures the class so that you succeed. Attendance is part of your grade on discussion days. If there's anyone to take for GBA490 to make it as smooth as possible, its Moon

Loved him for this class. He has a similar teaching style to Gina Simpson since he works under her. He cares about each students' success, and is always was very supportive. Will take a class with him again if I ever have the chance.

Professor Moon was very understanding when I had a family emergency and allowed me to make up all my work. I went in to meet with him during office hours and you can tell he genuinely cares about the students. I don't care for requiring attendance but you can do the "work days" (quizzes/games) as he calls it and the exams from anywhere.

My brother and I have a business opportunity but I had no clue where to start. I asked Justin after class if he could help me. He took me to his office and showed me how to get an LLC started, setup QuickBooks and get the correct insurance. I suggest taking him because he has real world experience.

One thing I enjoyed is taking the quizzes and exams in my dorm room. Professor Moon did require the games which was $144 for the semester. My sister took the class last year and had to write two page home works instead of the games. I like the games better and he gave us the slides so we didn't have to buy the text book.

Great professor! He cares about his students and what we have to say about the course. Attendance is mandatory with 3 allowed absences but only holds class 1-2 times a week, never 3. He also gives occasional extra credit. Tests and weekly quizzes were taken at home but don't be surprised if he makes tests in class due to cheating.

Awesome professor! We only had class about once a week and the other day was a quiz and game that you could take on your own. The games were a little difficult but with study groups, they weren't too bad. Definitely make some friends in the class. The simulation games made it more difficult to get an A in this class, but otherwise the course was very straightforward. Professor Moon really cares about feedback and will often put it into action. When people complained about certain aspects of the class, he worked to remedy those issues and make sure the class was fair for all students.

Justin Moon is a cool dude. We had class about once a week. There are these games you do online and they are very very stupid and annoying. The pros of this class completely weigh out the con that is the game. You can easily do great in here. Justin really does care about the success of everyone in his classroom and often ask for feedback.

Mr. Moon is one of the best teachers I have ever had. The class was fairly easy, as we only had class two days a week and the third was a day where we took a quiz and played a game from home. The games could be challenging at times but I think they are necessary for the course. He loves to talk Alabama football and is very personal. 10/10 class!

He was a good professor and would extend deadlines if most students asked. He was very understanding with students, I had a family emergency and missed an exam and he allowed me to make it up. Attendance matters but he almost always let us out early and he tries to make class fun. There are two group projects which aren't too bad.

490 sucks in general but Moon made it tolerable. Lots of work, but its not necessarily hard. As long as you submit the work, you will pass the class. He gives you the topics that will be on the exam & lets you have written cheat sheets. Difficulty of grading is going to depend on the TAs. However, I've heard other professors give more extra credit

This class it pretty tough and a lot of work, but Professor Moon makes it tolerable. He is a great guy who genuinely cares about your success in the class. You can use handwritten notes for the exams. The written cases are annoying, and the 4 hour one is very stressful. The BSG project is tedious. As long as you attend, though, you will pass!

Had Moon this summer for GBA. I loved his business examples that he gives. He even new some people in the construction industry and got me some interviews!

The quizzes are really tough, it seems like he was more focused on people not cheating then teaching the class, the slides are like 25 slides a class and u are quizzed on it the next class, expected to completely have learned the material by then, in my opinion it was too fast paced and the quizzes weren't very friendly

I really like professor Moon, but he likes to talk to students longer than what he teaches. Each chapter is about 50 slides of information, he maybe covers 10 in class. There's quizzes each week which I think seem near impossible for a majority of the class, and studying for the exam would require going over 200 slides.

I would 100% take MGT-300 with Professor Moon again. He makes early lectures enjoyable and will give extra credit here and there. If you miss an assignment or exam, he is more than willing to work with you. You will not regret choosing his class.

Professor moon has been my favorite professor I've ever had at UA. He actually cares about his students and listens to feedback and actually makes adjustments to better us. I have learned so much from him not only as a teacher but as a mentor. The quizzes, and exams are not difficult if you use the text book- which has build in flash cards!!

If you are struggling, speak with him directly. He is a friend and will work with you if you really try your best.

At the beginning of the year, Moon was trying new tactics for class, and everyone was not doing well. But he paid attention to that fact and reevaluated his class format. He is a good professor and an easy listener. Beware of EI games. There are quizzes weekly and exams with a drop, but attendance is mandatory.

Professor Moon is a great management professor. His lectures are a little all over the place, but he provides a fair amount of resources if there are topics you did not catch in the lecture. He gave out over 40 extra credit points in a class that is out of 1000 total points. You only get 2 free absences but his lectures are entertaining.

I really liked Mr. Moon. The class is difficult no matter who you take it with, but he makes things pretty easy and cares about his students. For tests you can have as many cheat sheets as you want as long as they're handwritten and he tells you exactly what will be on the exam. 490 is an awful class with lots of reading and writing, but Moon makes it great. One of the best instructors at UA and offers students business advice post grad. Incredibly nice, transparent about grading, and helps tremendously with written cases.

Professor Moon was the best GBA professor. He was kind and encouraging and was also so helpful. You're graded on written cases, discussion cases, 3 tests, and the semester project. He gives you unlimitted note sheets for the test and as long as you talk during the discussions you'll get the points. He is truly the best

If you're looking for a small workload GBA 490 ain't the class. With that said, Justin Moon is very engaging in lectures often relating course material to real world examples. Classes aren't bad, tests are very fair and you are well prepared prior. Cases, no comment. If I had to retake this course again I would make sure to be in his class.

I've had professor moon for 2 courses, MGT 300 and GBA 490. He is an absolutely amazing professor. He truly cares about his students and wants them to succeed. His lectures are interesting also. I was nervous about this class, but honestly it was easier than my other courses. Besides the long papers that are required for this course, it was fun!

GBA490 is a very difficult class, but Mr. Moon does his best not to make it overwhelming. He does his best to make the classes interesting, and definitely made the class worthwhile. Turn everything in on time, do your best, and you'll be okay. Glad I had him!

Starts every class with just talking to students about life, gets everyone situated and calm and then proceeds to do lecture. Lectures are just slides with him talking about them he does go pretty fast but he gives real life examples of how topics in the class relate to his personal life when he was running businesses. He'll help people when needed

Little HW; quizzes and exams are all online and very easy if you pay attention in class. Takes attendance by QR code at the end of each class. HIGHLY recommend taking him.

Justin Moon was overall a great Professor. His lectures use real world examples. My only complaint is the quizzes and exams don't always match the lectures and PowerPoints. A lot of the exam and quiz material is from the textbook instead which made exams a little more difficult. However, he is very open to feedback and cares about his students.
