I hate math. If you have "math anxiety," this is the professor to take. The material is not easy, but he is excellent at explaining the material in a very clear way. A lot of homework, but it's math, after all. Would definitely take again. Plus, he is generally just a good guy.

If you didn't get an A or B in the class, it is your own fault. Professor always prepared us for exams and answered all of my questions. All Calculus classes assign the same homework, cover the same material and have similar exams. I enjoy this class because the professor explains tricky concepts in a simple manner, and is very approachable and friendly. If you ever have any questions. he will make time to explain things clearly until you understand.

Mr. Rodrigues is the best math teacher I've had in a long time. He cares for his students and really makes an effort to help them succeed in any possible way he can. There are not many tests and the tests are extremely fair. If you pay attention in class and do the homework I almost guarantee that you will pass with an A or B.

Took this class during summer A, 6 weeks course. We had 4 test and a final. He gave out a test review before every test and went over it which was identical to the actual test. Speaks clearly and works at a good pace. If you do not understand he will stop to help. Not the best in math and I currently have a B+. Best math teacher I've ever had!

Pretty good professor even though it's math. He tries his best when it comes to teaching. He really wants to make sure you're understanding the material and if you ever need help he will re-teach it which is amazing. Math is my absolute worst subject. But he made it bearable. The best math teacher i've ever taken, drops your lowest test score and if your final exam grade is higher than your grade in the class he'll replace it with your final exam grade. Let me start off by saying that Professor Rodrigues was one of the most caring and understanding professors I have ever had. Homework is graded and highly advised you do it or you will have a hard time with tests. There are reviews before the test that are similar to the actual test but with different numbers, obviously. You do not need the book.

He's amazing. I love the fact that he does not teach from just a PowerPoint, but goes through every problem step by step, and takes the time to answer our questions. Tests are simple if you study. Attendance isn't mandatory, but I advice you to show up often so you do not get lost. Homework is on my mathlab so it's all due the day of the test.

Easily one of the greatest professors out there. Breaks down complicated stuff so easily, all you have to do is pay attention and make an effort. If you are taking STA, the first tests are easier so study to boost your grades before it gets more complicated. His class fills really fast!

I took this class with another professor before, and the difference is night and day. Professor Rodrigues is great. He DOES give different versions of exams to discourage cheating, but they are basically the same. (He changes numbers around so you can't copy from a neighbor.) I just wish he was teaching CALC2 in the spring

Questions are the same, he just changes numbers. He could hand out answer keys too and some of my classmates would still complain that it is too hard.

He broke down stats in a way that I could understand. Lots of homework from the book but he always answer questions at the beginning of class. Final exam replaces your low test score if you do well on it.

This is not an easy class. But he breaks down everything, two different version test, a lot of homework from the book. Five tests including the final, plus the final replaces your lowest test score from the previous 4 tests.

Whether or not you excel in math Professor Justin makes it possible to learn complex concepts by breaking them down and giving elaborate examples. I had him for statistics and I was going into the class worried about doing well, but from the first day of class you will be able to notice his teaching is great and he has so much patience.

The best professor Ive ever had period, not just for math! You need the text only for HW. Not that much HW if you spend a few mins a day on it, but actually gives you weeks to hand it in before the next exam. He breaks down everything and will explain everything.

For someone who failed PRE algebra and struggled to get a C in Algebra, I am passing with an A. I even received 100s on almost every test. Other tests, I missed maybe 1 question. This is HANDS DOWN the BEST professor Ive ever had! I am absolutely atrocious at math and somehow I was able to pass TRIG with a breeze. He made very difficult concepts so easy and is so clear-spoken, organized, ans gives excellent examples. Exams are an easy A if you do the homework. Some problems on tests are copied and pasted right from the HW.

Besides Kenny Chan, Professor Rodrigues is THE BEST! His reviews are exactly like the exam(just different numbers of course). As long as you do the review over and over you will do great. Do not memorize the review but rather apply the questions. He is very caring and patient. No question is "too dumb" for him.

Literally the best professor I have had at PBSC. I took stats last semester and dropped it because I was failing. Tried again this semester because I need it for my degree and I finished with a 103% on the final exam and a 101% in the class. You can definitely get an A in this class if you give it some effort.

Best math professor I have ever taken. I'm horrible at math and he made it seem so easy just by how in depth he goes with it. He gives a lot of homework but in the long run it really helps a lot.

He is an awesome professor. Very kind and patient, takes time to answer questions and doesn't make you feel dumb for asking. You are graded on 4 exams and a final. If you do well on the final it will replace your worst test. If you are reading this, take him.

Professor Rodruigues is one of the best math teachers at Palm Beach State. I recommend him to anyone taking any math class he teaches. If there is free space in any of his classes, do yourself a favor and take his class. If you put in the effort and show up to class, you will pass.

Great professor to take, he explains all concepts and helps you out if you do not understand. I was at a 70 because of a low test but the final i got a 95 which replaced that low grade made my final grade an A take him if your not good with math

As someone who is not strong in Math Professor Rodrigues made me enjoy learning the material. It's not an easy A but he wants you to succeed and will help however he can. Not too strict on attendance if you communicate with him beforehand, but if you miss a day you do miss a lot. I wish I could take him for every Math class in the future!

Very knowledgeable professor. He takes the time to explain concepts and doesn't make you feel dumb for asking questions. Exams are challenging, but fair. He provides practice exams to help study. You absolutely need to attend class or you will fall behind. I wish he was teaching Calc 2 in the spring.

I suck at math... :( his teaching styles are OK he wants you to learn... he had stories about his childhood witch I can relate .. he really wants the students to do well I really need an A for grade forgiveness and the math lab helps a ton.. I work 40+ hours and have 2 babies I have a B in his class now. responds to email in seconds. great guy.

Professor Rodrigues, is an amazing Professor always teaching the maternal in the easiest way possible. He is so caring and tells you exactly what will be on the test, there is an extra credit opportunity for every test. His lectures are amazing and he is always willing to answer any questions you have. I would 100% recommend him!!

Awesome teacher ! Test were fearly Easy . He gives extra credit for doing the practice test . He is due by the day of the test which is good . No book needed just my math lab code . Would take him again for sure . Easy A

Took his class for first semester, honestly an easy class, you dont need a textbook just the online code, he gives good life experiences, and pls pls pls study for your tests, it may be easy when he teaches but the test are hard and only about 20-25 questions, you must come to class, you learn something new everyday, he is also hilarious and cares

I was nervous to take Statistics because I've only heard bad things about the professors at PBSC BUT Professor Rodrigues helped me so much to understand the material! He is literally the best professor and I'm so lucky I was able to get a spot in his class over fall! He tries his absolute best to make the material as simple as possible!

Definitely recommend this professor. He genuinly cares about his students and always makes sure everyone is understanding. There is a a lot of hw from the textbook after every section so procrastination won't be your friend in this class. Gives test reviews which are just like the test.

Absolutely AMAZING! He's one of the few PBSC professors that actually cares about his students. It doesnt matter whether or not you're a math whiz, his class and lectures are so simple to understand, and if for whatever reason you dont get it; he will help you outside of class ( without making you feel dumb). Take him and you wont regret it !!!!

He loves his job. His lectures are fast paced, so most of the time I had to go over the material at home and really study. Lots of HW. BUT he gives practice tests which are VERY helpful. If you really practice and go over the practice tests YOU WILL PASS (only changes the numbers). Don't expect to pass without effort, is a heavy class but YOU CAN.

This was by far my favorite class this semester, which says a lot considering I hate math. But he really changed that since his lectures are so easy to follow and he makes sure everyone understands the material before moving on. There's also practice tests on MyMathLab for extra credit. If you struggle with math, I highly recommend him!

Phenomenal instructor. Concepts are clearly explained, and no question is too dumb. He genuinely wants everyone to learn and is available to help if something doesn't make sense. This is my favorite college class so far even though it was remote. Attendance matters, if you miss too many class meetings you will be removed.

Took him while distance learning, overall a great professor. You will need an access code for My Math Lab but other than that there is no textbook. Explains math really well. All the homework is online and will go over any questions in the next class. Do the homework and take the tests and it's an easy A.

Had him Fall 2020 via zoom, a very nice guy! Really enjoys teaching math and is passionate about it. He will not hesitate to go over a question if you do not understand the material. Has practice quizzes before the exam and they help A LOT. Overall, always will recommend him to PBSC students

Homework and exams are taken in MyMathLab. He gives you a practice exam and records YouTube videos working through the practice test. On test days you need to show work to receive credit. (Can't cheat) Professor R. wants everyone to do well and always answers any questions, no matter how basic. Keep up with your homework and study for exams.

Remote class held on ZOOM. He clearly breaks down complicated concepts so everyone can understand. There is a lot of HW in MML, you need to keep current with it and not fall behind. He records videos working through practice exams and they are super helpful. Only allowed 3 absences for the semester, so be present. Would highly recommend.

Any of the negative reviews you see are a bit iffy, sure you have a time limit for the test but it's the same as you would have in class. If you do the work and show up you're guaranteed an A, he's extremely accessible and will work with you. If you have problems showing your work, either talk to him and explain and he'll understand, or don't cheat

All the negative feedbacks are made by some lazy people that dont show up to class and dont do their homework. This is THE best professor in PBSC. He really knows how to interact with his students and always makes sure we understand everything before he moves on. If you take this class, I promise you, youll have a blast and really enjoy being there

Professor Rodrigues is the absolute best. He explains every single lessons the easiest way possible and will take his time if you dont understand something. He is a very good teacher who actually cares about his students. He is stricter when it comes to his test and grading like no late work or extra credit besides the end of semester course evaluation. I think it would've been a less difficult class if it would've been taught in person rather than online. Overall a good professor.

FIrst time I took statistics with another professor I had to teach myself and was completely lost. Night and day difference here. Professor Rodrigues explains everything very well and makes class enjoyable. There is a decent amount of homework but it is manageable, would highly recommend.

I took his online STA2023 6-week course. He was very clear from the beginning in terms of what to expect, required materials, and how to get the A. Calculator is needed, so was mymathlab which included the digital textbook. Everything needed to get an A was covered in lectures, he took time to answer questions. Practice exam videos. The best

If you want a professor to ease back into math in college, take Professor Rodrigues! I took him for MAT1033C. He has a simple and effective way of teaching. He's understanding, and patient. No makeup anything, but that never bothered me. Extra credit on practice tests if you get 80% or above. Pay attention, do the hw, and try to do the reviews.

I've taken professor Rodrigues in the past, and would take his class again. He makes the material comprehendible and offers more than enough resources to make sure you can understand the lectures and ace his tests. If you show up, and do the practice tests in mml, there's no reason you shouldn't get an A.

You get out what you put in. You must have self discipline. Know what it means, and know what it takes to study efficiently. Otherwise just have natural born talent for math.

We used MyMathLab for homework. Statistics is a very repetitive and pattern-heavy math course. Professor Rodrigues also moves quickly so you have to pay attention and ask questions right away, no matter how basic the content seems. He gives you lots of resources which include recorded walk-through videos. You should take him.

Patient, clear, kind, and friendly. He is an amazing math teacher. Uses MyLabMath for homework, 4 in-person test, and the final. He answers all the question students make from the homework and previous tests, very respectful. Also gives the opportunity of extra credit in every test. Professor Rodrigues is an excellent professor. He is really fast in giving test grades back, and as long ans you are present, do the homework and pay attention, I dont see how anybody will fail.

He can slow things down very well, Personally i forget many things from my OG Algebra class and he does not mind to bring back old points from Older Math classes just to help refresh your memory.

This is one of the best math classes I have ever taken. He gives very concise but detailed lectures and gives time to ask many questions. He has accessible office hours if you need extra help. He also has extra practice videos that he posts to go with the practice tests. He uses Mymathlab which is very helpful.

Great Prof! Mymathlab & Zoom recording are the best!! We do have homework, quizzes and exams, but if you pay attention in class, ask questions & follow/use the resources he gives you, you'll do great. Ngl, this does take work, with studying, formulas, etc. But as long as you put in the work, trust- you'll be fine. Would def recommend him.

Professor Rodrigues is a really great teacher, make sure you take notes as he works out problems. Homework is on math lab and correlates with examples he does in class. Grading is clear, there were 4 tests and a final which replaces one lowest test score made my C go to an A. Personal advice take make sure to take the practice tests on mathlab:)

Prof. Rodrigues is cool as they come. He brings life to a subject most of us do not resonate with much. He does not trick the students by giving exams that look nothing like the HW. As my time at PBSC has come to a close, I will truly mis Prof. Rodrigues as I view him more like a comrade than a professor. I highly recommend Prof. Rodrigues.

Professor Rodrigues hands down is a great professor I had him for trig and his lectures are long but at the same time they go by so fast because he knows how to get you engaged he will break things down step by step until you get it, attendance is mandatory but I truly recommend this professor if you struggle to engage with math or understand it.

Professor Rodrigues was an amazing professor, although this class was tough it was very easy to understand the lectures and he explained concepts very easily. Tests were tough but he usually allows you to bring a formula sheet to use during the tests.

Honestly there really isn't much to say about professor Rodriguez that hasn't been said yet , hands down the best calc teacher at pbc , he will give examples , help you out with homework problems , and have organized lectures . If you want to pass calculus I 100% recommend professor Rodriguez .

I am taking MAC 2312 at FAU now, but man, I miss this guy. In calc 1, he handed out helpful formula sheets for some of his exams and his exam reviews were just like his exams. The homework can take some time, but honestly, apply yourself, and it'll be hard to fail his class since he wants everyone to pass.

Prof. Rodrigues is the GOAT. Hands down Best Calc 2 Professor. He genuinely wants his students to pass; his lectures are very clear and concessive, and he is very communicative through Canvas email. He isn't stingy with grading; giving partial credit for correct workflow on tests, and extra credit for completing practice tests.

Calculus 2 was a challenging class but it's possible if you work hard. Professor R. did an exceptional job explaining complicated topics and made class fun. He always answered questions and had a positive vibe. I never felt dumb for asking questions about stuff. 4 tests and a final, final replaces low test grade. Awesome professor

I recommend taking him. 4 tests and final exam. He adds 5 extra credit points to your test if u score a 90+ on the practice exam. Also the test is the practice exam but different numbers. You'll do great if you study.

Professor R is awesome. He explains topics very well so you can actually understand it. He knows the material cold and is always ready to go. I actually look forward to our 8am class. He's super quick with email replies, and he puts up YouTube reviews for each test. You can tell he actually cares if you pass. Wish I could take him for more courses
