super duper easy A

Greatest teacher I had this semester. He's really passionate about the weather, making him fun to listen to and learn the material. He's also more than happy to help you out with any issues you're having in or out of class. I definitely recommend him

Basically, I suck at science and I got an A in the course. Power Points were straight forward as were the exams.

Awesome professor!!He gives extra points for people who attend, so COME TO CLASS.He also gives a bonus quiz to help boost your grade!

LOVE him so much. Always has bonus questions on the tests and gives extra credit for showing up or emailing him pictures of clouds wthe type. Really fun class to take, he really enjoys what he does which makes it that much more fun. I suck at science, but it's an easy A for me. Just study the powerpoints and his notes and do the extra credit!

By far my favorite professor. He makes the lectures enjoyable and entertaining. Plenty of extra credit opportunities. 4 tests, your lowest only counts for 10%. So by the third test if you are at anything 100 or above (easy to do) he tells you to not even show up the rest of the semester. He even had me thinking about changing my major to ATMO!

Weaver is the man. He posts all of his notes online so you do not have to go to class, but if you miss less than 6 class periods you can do extra credit for a possible 10 points on your FINAL grade. Was never a huge weather guy, but he made class really fun and interesting. TAKE HIS CLASS

Very, good professor! I took atmospheric science for my random science credit and I am so glad I did! Great class, and made me interested in a class that is totally not up my alley.

I'll start off by saying I'm the type of student who will come to class every once in a while, tune in, then tune out as soon as it's over. However, Mr. Weaver is without a doubt the most caring and inspirational instructor I have had at Tech. He is more than just a weather class teacher. He is a mentor, and a funny one at that. Get him if you can!

Do not even know where to begin with Mr. Weaver. He was just an overall great guy a phenomenal professor. He gives you extra credit if you have less than 6 absences and is always willing to communicate with the students to help out academically and in everyday life. Wednesdays especially were great because he would give out very useful advice.

Loves his subject and knows a lot about it. Best professor I've had at Tech, period. Must take if you need a lab science and this one counts.

Most entertaining professor Ive had thus far. He gives an ample amount of extra credit for attendance which in some cases brought my grade up 10+ points. Weaver is an all around great professor and really cares about his students.

Super funny and has reviews the class before a test. Gives extra credit usually the day after bar night because people usually don't show up to class. There are usually 3 online quizzes that lead up to tests. Review has main points but reading each chapter helps immensely. Find my quizlets and you will pass.

Mr. Weaver is by far the best professor I have ever had. He makes the material interesting and can always crack a joke that will make the entire class laugh. His tests are super easy if you go to class and review your notes. Easy A and at the same time, you'll look forward to going to class.

I HIGHLY recommend taking Weaver! He gives a ton of + credit (mainly for being there on Fridays, plus bonus questions on tests) He gives an awesome review the class before the test w/powerpoint w/everything you need to know. I hardly went and I still made an A! The quizzes on blackboard are pretty much all on quizlet, study them! Funny, caring guy.

Weaver was an amazing teacher. He gives a lot of extra credit. You need to show up to class everyday, but be sure to be there for the week of any exam -Monday is Review-Wednesday is test-Friday he usually gives extra credit-( not every week). Easy A would recommend to anyone needing a science.

I really had to study hard to get an A in here, even with the extra credit. Some people say they never went to class and it was an easy A,makes me wonder how exactly that happened? I worked my butt off! Mr. Weaver is pretty good! He takes boring material and makes it fun. The extra credit really helps! Study and you'll do great. Earn it!

He is a great professor. I never knew the weather could be such an interesting topic to learn about. His lectures are fun and easy to listen to. He usually will let you leave class a few minutes early and gives ton of extra credit for showing up to class. I would only take this class with Weaver. Oh and NO FINAL!

By far my favorite professor at Tech. Really nice and funny guy who loves what he does. Course load is not difficult but will require a little studying if you want an A. No final and big extra credit opportunity at the end if you don't miss more than 5 classes. Would highly recommend if anyone needs a science credit!

350 characters are not enough to describe how great Weaver is. You'll learn a lot of interesting stuff, and make an A if you pay decent attention. He also gives great advice and "Weaver's Wednesday Words of Wisdom" were worth the price of the course. Weaver understands you don't want to be a meteorologist and is very fair.

If you need to take a science. Take this. Dr. Weaver is funny, engaging, and teaches clearly. If you get an A on the first 3 tests you don't have to take the 4th and there is no final. Go to class - its interesting and helpful. Take notes - study the notes and you'll get an A. The lab is kind of annoying but not hard.

Professor Weaver was great. I really enjoyed his class! He made the topics we discussed very interesting and easy to understand. He was also HILARIOUS. I would definitely take the class again. General coursework was easy and tests were very straightforward.

Weaver sets the example for all other professors! You can tell that he really cares about his students and he will help you out with whatever issues you have, school related or not. I expected to blow through this class for an easy A. However, he was such an effective professor that I walked away with a better understanding of ATMO and how weather works, etc. He's really nice and charismatic which are two qualities many professors lack. Lectures were very interesting and it's obvious that he's passionate about atmo sci.

You can talk to him about anything. He gives lots of extra credit, and the class is easy if you pay attention and listen for when he says something's on the test.

Professor Weaver is such a fun teacher! He really knows how to make class interesting. The only time I used the textbook was for the online quizzes. Tests are easy, you take them at home on Blackboard. Lot's of extra credit. He also likes to cancel class every now and then to give students a break. Overall, he's a really good guy. I recommend!

One of the few classes where you actually learn something. He makes the lectures engaging, funny, and interesting. That being said, you still need to show up to class and study to do well in the class. Even if I hadn't got an A I would not regret taking this class!

(The Tests are online) Quizzes: Extremely easy all answers are online. (The quizzes are online) Attendance: Done online, so you don't really have to show up but I would because the class is so intresting!

Professor Weaver is so funny! He teaches for fun, it's not his "real job" as he'll tell you, so he doesn't take himself or the class too seriously. Tests and quizzes are on blackboard so they're easy to ace. If you're looking for a laid back science class, this one's perfect!

The only science class Ive ever taken that I actually enjoyed. All of the tests/quizzes are online along with lecture slides. I ended the class with an A and it didnt take much effort at all. 5% of grade is from attendance though.

Very laid back professor, and easily approachable. Tests and quizzes don't always come from the lectures, and can be a bit difficult. He makes buying the textbook for the class optional, but he does take information and questions from it for the quizzes or tests. However, the quizzes and tests are also all online. Overall, enjoyable class!

Mr. Weaver is the highest rated professor at TTU and it is well deserved. He is a great guy and obviously passionate about what he does. Do yourself a favor, take his class.

Great Guy ! So far the best professor I have had at Tech. He cares a lot about his students! All exams are online and he gives extra credit opportunities. Going to class is kinda mandatory because he checks attendance and will do questions during lectures but you can get extra credit from that as well! I would highly recommend taking his class.

Basically what everyone else is saying, he's great. There is no homework except a few quizzes, and the tests aren't that hard, but just a heads up the 3rd exam is challenging if you don't go to or pay attention in class. Also there is an assignment at the end of the semester which will let you replace your lowest test. GL

THE BEST PROFESSOR I HAVE EVER HAD BY A LANDSLIDE. He wants you to succeed and will round your grade when needed, or give you second tries on your quizzes (and sometimes tests) if you didn't do as well as you hoped. The workload is so small and he makes class fun. Easy A class and really cool, caring and understanding guy. TAKE HIS CLASS!

Justin was a great professor and made Atmospheric Science interesting. All of the tests/quizzes are online, and the only grades are attendance, quizzes and exams. The quiz questions are taken from the textbook questions, so they are all online or in the textbook. He makes up the majority of the exam questions, but he hints at them in class before.

Please take his class over the other professor, please!!!! He gives extra points for coming to class on Fridays and the day before a break begins. For example, he gave us 70 pts EXTRA on attendance before spring break started. Really great guy gives great advice concerning life! You get points for coming to class so just go they save you later.

Dude just take this guy! He's awesome and he just wants to help you. He gave 2 opportunities for extra credit and emails giving reminders for due dates. You can go to class for extra points if you would like.

Such a nice guy! Ask any random question about the weather and he'll answer it no problem. He doesn't make you buy the textbook. Quizzes and tests are open notes and Quizlet friendly. There's an extra credit assignment offered at the end but I didn't need it. If you show up to class he'll make sure you get an A.

Mr. Weaver is my favorite professor I have had at Tech. If you go to class and participate, he gives extra credit (which could possibly bump you a whole letter grade). His lectures are never boring and he is very passionate and wants what is best for his students. He has been very accommodating during COVID and is always available via email.

What can I say about Weaver that hasn't been said? He teaches an easy class, and so he can just be a cool guy most of the time. His tests are not too bad, and as long as you take notes and pay attention, a B is possible at the very least. Attendance was mandatory, but for the most part his class was worth showing up to just to have a good time.

Professor Weaver made me enjoy coming to his class everyday! My favorite professor I've had at Tech so far, since he truly cares about his students. It's easy to get an A, just go to class everyday. Tests aren't too bad, just as long as you take notes.

Class is technically mandatory since he takes attendance, but only a small part of your final grade. Textbook not required. There are multiple extra credit opportunities. All tests and quizzes are online, and you get three chances on every quiz to make a 100. Overall, he's a really good professor.

He is easily the best professor I've encountered at Texas Tech. In regards to the class, the homework is usually pretty quick, and the exams are reasonable and online.

The lectures were really fun, he had LOTS of extra credit opportunities, quizzes could be taken up to 3 times, and he was really accommodating with everything, even the college lifestyle. If you want an easy science credit that you might actually have fun in I definitely would recommend Mr. Weaver for Atmo 1300.

Professor Weaver makes this class engaging and enjoyable. Easy coursework, with online tests and quizzes. Attendance is mandatory but not too demanding. unstuckstudy was a great study aid alongside the free textbook.
