great teacher easy to listen to

Justin's alot of fun. His tests are easy if you come to class and half way take notes. He even offered to change some peoples lab grades if they were lower than their course grade because the TA's sucked. You should check out his office it's cool.

Hands down, Justin's my kind of professor.

He is way awesome. Isnt scared to talk about anything. He makes Botany interesting.Tests arent that easy but he grades very well and doesnt take attendence.

I really love this class so far, he is really fun and makes me crack up. Also, i am actually intrested in plants now.. thats got to be some kind of good, right!

He is a good teacher, the only thing that bugs me is that he doesn't make eye contact, and he either closes his eyes while lecturing or stares at the floor.....Other than that he is a good prof.

His lectures are very interesting. He doesn't take attendence, but his test are not very easy.

DO NOT TRY TO FOLLOW LAB WITH THIS CLASS...they do not correlate. Still, he's easier than the other botany teacher. people that fail her go to him & get A's. go to class at least once a week, take notes, & read the book & you will be fine. tests aren't hard, IF YOU DO THE READING & it's not alot of readin either. overall, Good Prof & I suggest him!

great teacher, great curve he gives, just follow the readings and the quizzes they give online from the book.

Gets a little off topic, but thats what keeps the class interesting. He gives a pretty good curve, I got a B . I thinks thats pretty good to be learning about plants....

He was a great proffesor..interesting,very intelligent, and not afraid to talk about ANYTHING..he is a bit off the wall but he is my kind of people..

Dr. Williams was a phenomenal professor; He was extremely quarky, but i learned so much from him. He is very smart, and overall added to the dynamics of my college career; I would greatly suggest him. I worked hard and got an A. I think he's leaving the university, but a great professor nevertheless.

Can't believe he's rated as hot, ha ha, but seriously, he's a fun teacher. Fun subjects. I recommend his classes.

Not a great instructor, but not bad. Lots of kooky extras, but not all are the truth (you have to double check all his facts). Not dependable and hard to find. Quite devious, and that is disturbing.

Very Intresting class! He speaks his mind and makes the class fun. You do not need to buy the book but you do have to take good notes and study after all you are in college!

If you're looking for the ultimate college experience, TAKE HIM. he teaches so much more than just botany, he's such a genius though that sometimes it's hard to follow him, I made a C but it was a lot of info over the summer. Didn't use the book. He is insane & always keeps you awake w/his crazy lectures! TAKE HIM!!!

He was a great professor teaches you alot of fun facts. It's alot to remember so you really do have to study. He keeps you awake which is good. I took him in the summer i got a c and he is willing to work with you if you talk to him. Take him he's interesting.

He's a lunatic, yes, but probably one of the better prof's at SAM. He doesn't take attendance but it would be in your best interest to NOT miss class, and also he takes questions off the internet for his tests so just google stuff.....its really not that hard to figure out. All in all, excellent!!

I have had countless amounts of professors, and I would easily rank him among my top three best professors overall. He is incredibly talented at what he does, and you won't find a more fascinating character to learn from. Those that get offended by him are immature, believe me. Everything he says is directly relevant to the topic at hand.

Only 8am class I can actually say that I enjoyed going to. He definitely knows his stuff. He's hilarious and it's somewhat easy. Great class to take.

GO TO CLASS AND STUDY. No textbook. Tests are difficult yes, but the top 10% of the class gets an A no matter what the grades are. You probably won't find another teacher at Sam who loves what they teach as much as this guy. Never boring that's for sure. And if you honestly get offended by him, you obviously aren't mature enough to be in college.

ONE OF MY FAVORITE PROFS.! HE REALLY KNOWS HIS STUFF AND YOU WILL DEFINITELY LEARN ABOUT PLANTS. NO BOOK! HE MIGHT SEEM A LITTLE STRAIGHT FORWARD AND WEIRD, BUT HE MAKES CLASS INTERESTING. Cool professor. Exams are rather easy if you frequently attend the class, of course. Tells many intriguing stories and examples correlating to what he is teaching which makes the material easier to remember. Always answers emails if you have a question.

You do not need a textbook for his class but you will need one for the lab. He has an interesting view on the worl which makes for a good class but he does not stick with the labs so you have to teach yourself sometimes which can be fustrating. Tests are online and extremely easy.

Nothing is mandatory, class nor textbook. Pretty easy, just pay attention. Great and fun professor.

Great professor! Yes, he is all over the place and dosent follow the lab but you learn alot more than just botany from him! All tests are online except for the final. Very passionate about what he teaches! Very blunt and honest.HE should be teaching the labs not TA!

He's one of my favorite teachers on campus. Had no real interest in plants, but he made Botany my favorite class last semester! Super easy, only had 2 or 3 tests, all of which were online and straight from the class notes. Doesn't take attendance. Ridiculously smart. Just take him.

Williams is such a character! You will learn so much more than you expected. Labs and lecture do not correlate, I took the Honors version and we only had one exam. After finals and it was online. If you want to learn differently, take him.

While most people bash Professor Williams for jumping from topic to topic and his lectures not correlating to the lab, if you actually show up, take notes and pay attention the class is easy. He teaches you through real world examples so you don't just memorize a bunch of worthless plant details, you leave with a different outlook on life.

Honestly the best class I ever took and my favorite professor. A lot of people complain about his drug and sex references but honestly, it's to help our age group relate to the subject more and memorize it better and it really works. He gives tons of extra credit opportunities by showing up to class, and really tries to help out his students.

Easy teacher. Tests are all online. But lecture will seem easy then the tests are not super easy. But if you study you will pass. No homework. Cool and funny guy. Take good notes, but he will post all powerpoints needed for the tests.

HIs lectures are not like your typical professor but it is so entertaining and it relates to our age group. His tests are somewhat difficult but if you go to class everyday you can still make an A in the class.

Prof. Williams was one of the best professors I've had EVER and I am not into botany or science! He relates the details of plants, their processes, and how they adjust to the environment to the things humans are doing just millions of years beforehand. Plants produce a majority of the drugs in the world and he discusses this with marijuana heavily.

He can get off topic at times, but overall hes a good professor. Attendance isnt mandatory, but it is definitely recommended if you want to pass.

Really funny professor, but tends to go off topic and rant about random stuff a lot. Tests are online, but it's a little difficult to prepare because you don't really know what's going to be on them. Don't need the textbook although it does help for the lab sometimes.

He gets off topic a lot but he likes to put his random rants on the test so pay attention to everything he says. Best way to pass his class is to record his lectures because some of his material is hard to grasp the first time. No homework. Takes attendance by a word of the day but he doesnt do it all the time.

Professor Williams is such an interesting man his lectures are funny and he actually makes you interested in botany If you go to class and take notes you will do good in the class. He repeats a lot of the stuff he says and thats what is mostly likely going to be on the test. Take him hes amazing!

The only grades are the four exams. He does not take attendance, but if you do not go to class you won't pass. Everything on the tests are mentioned in his lectures. Take thorough notes and study the power point slides.

His lectures are very interesting. If you go to class, youll pass. The only thing that frustrated me about the class were how vague his test questions were. He tells us its better to take them with people since theyre online. My friend and I took them together, and with both brains we made As on all tests. Just go to class and dont email him

Williams is a really good prof. His lectures are great. I recommend taking notes, I also recommend voice recording if he lets you. He occasionally gives you the word of the day for extra credit. His tests are easy if you go to class and take notes.

Dr. Williams is another excellent professor. He's a hilarious professor with a lot of real world knowledge. Attendance is not mandatory but his PowerPoints are sometimes vague and all of tests are basic knowledge with a lot of fun facts essentially. What he says in person is what matters the most on exams. Textbook is not mandatory for the lecture.

The last day of class was my saddest day. His lectures were so enthralling because he was so passionate about what he teaches about. It’s so hard to find that sincere passion. Attend class and write down everything he says. Drops a test grade. The people that rated low just don’t get what he’s trying to say.

He is an interesting professor to say the least. His class has no homework or quizzes & is solely based on 4 exams. That being said the exams are a bit difficult but not impossible to get a good grade on. He often talks alot & goes off topic. I think he does not benefit from a 3 day a week, 50 min course and should revert back to Tue, Thu.

A very unique professor. Definitely attend his lectures even though it is not mandatory. A lot of what he talks about in class are on the tests. He often goes on tangents about his opinion on things but take small notes about them and you'll be fine. No textbook needed, only the 3 highest test grades of 4 tests are used, and no homework.

Very good and entertaining lectures. Class is very test-heavy, but as long as you come to class every day you will be fine. One of the best professors I have had at Sam.

Lectures were interesting to say the least, some things we talked about I feel didn't pertain to the material. Some things on the tests you'll only know by going to class. Tests were a little difficult so I would recommend going to class and taking notes. There are 3 tests and 1 final, tests are online and open notes with a week to finish them.

Took him for plant taxonomy, great class! Participation matters greatly as the information being learned is ALOT, and learning many different plants is better done visually in person. I was very overwhelmed at first, but pleasantly surprised with the knowledge I've learned/retained. Fair warning, lab can be a workout sometimes with Texas heat.

Super fun professor! He will talk about current events and help you understanding the workings of out world. Yes it's about the Environment and plants but he will talk about real world events since those things are apart of the Earth. You will learn so much so GO TO CLASS! You will not regret raking his class just keep an open mind at all times.
