knows her stuff, good teacher
She doesn't take the time to really explain all the material; she will go over one thing, use one example problem and go on. Barely anybody does well in that class.
She is a good teacher, but it is hard to understand her sometimes which creates a small block to the students understanding what she is saying.
AMAZING teacher! She's always there if you ever need help or just want her to explain something. She said at the beg. of the term that she doesn't give extra credit, but she ends up doing it anyways :) The material is kinda hard, but that's just me..if you wanna get an A or at least a B then you should def. review your notes and go through the exer
I liked her alot as a person and a teacher. But, she doesn't give enough examples, and she asks sneaky questions on quizzes and exams. Fair grader, knows her stuff, but I wouldn't take her unless you're really, REALLY good in math, and don't need alot of extra explanations.
very nice and intelligent teacher. gives weekly quizzes if you understand the stuff it's pretty easy. not too much hw assigned. great teacher to have for math. i would recommend her. class isn't mandatory but her notes are helpful. i hardly read from the book. i just learned from her notes although sometimes you do have to use the book. =] AWESOME!
NOT friendly........NOT helpful..NOT sincere....
I used to hate her class!!! So boring...
This chick was in her own world. She taught in an intimidating way. Remember, don't ask questions...this offends her. She's more caught up in her ponytail than her students??? We WEREN'T impressed! She teaching adults, not children. BEWARE!!! Her tests have nothing to do with her lectures. She teaches differently from the book. SNEAKY!!
completely useless. made math way more difficult than it needed to be. I learned nothing from her!
As a person she is probably nice but her teaching needs room for improvement. She is disorganized and like others have said don't ask questions they seem to anger her. Some how she manages to make it way harder than it needs to be and yes she gives the pre-test but the test is like a foreign language. Just avoid!!! Take at MCC!!
She is intimidating and not helpful.I asked for a extra help or info on tutor I could go to see for the things I didn't understand and she told me I should asked earlier in the semester.I feel as though it shouldn't matter when I ask for help any time throughout the semester. She does make everything harder than it has to be.
this professor was not very helpful. no one didi well in her class. Also class is mandatory!! Oh P.S. don't ask questions!! she hates that.
do not take any math class with her. she is a terrible teacher. avoid at all costs!
I had a lot of prior knowledge when entering this class, so I mostly self- taught. Her exams are stupid hard. I got 100% on all the worksheets yet only A- and B+ on exams. She also isn't very clear when teaching. Overall, I would strongly discourage taking this class with her!
This class was difficult. She is intimidating and gets a little frustrated when asked a question. Her tests and quizzes are difficult. Had either a quiz or test EVERY Friday.
It's really not her fault. My grade was my own doing, and most students wouldn't even attend her class, given that she would post her notes online. Overall, she's an excellent instructor. She would go beyond her way to try and work on students' understanding of the material whenever results weren't satisfactory. All you had to do was pay attention!
This is literally the HARDEST class EVER! She will be on one example at the end of class, and not even finish going over it the next class. She teaches things last minute for test. She also tends to talk about things that are not even relevant for the course itself. DO NOT TAKE A COURSE WITH HER!
hard to understand, quiz every week on material barely explained, doesn't know how to answer questions, don't take her class.
She is a good professor for math 1000. The class isn't too hard and she does what she can to make sure everyone understands. She always asks if there's any questions. There's a quiz every week but as long as you listened the lecture before it's easy points. There's only two exams and a final. Not bad overall, just listen and ask for help if needed.
Worst teacher I've ever had in my life. Doesn't respond to emails and gives attitude when asked questions. Hard to understand. Tests are hard.
This class was terrible. She's hard to understand because of her accent. The lab TA is the only person that is really helpful. And honestly, most of them don't speak much English. There is a homework assignment due Tuesday's & on Thursdays you have quizzes. Her final exam was ridiculous, hardest thing I had to take and was confusing.
She's a bit disorganized. Sometimes unclear. Always asks if there are questions. The labs definitely help, the TA can give you personal attention for specific questions and the worksheets and quizzes really help learning. Don't expect to pass if you don't put in the work and skip lecture and lab. Final was ridiculously hard. No need for the book.
Terrible accent, could barely understand her. TA's were the only help. Final was way to hard and confusing.
She was most definitely one of my favorite teachers. Her accent is not bad at all; everyone is simply being a snob about it. She is kind and funny. Sometimes she would lose track of time and keep us ten minutes after class ended, but that stopped. Her tests and quizzes were not tricky and it was an easy A. Never got below an 80% on anything.
AVOID THIS CLASS AT ALL COSTS PERIOD. Ruined my flawless GPA. Unhelpful, confusing, uncaring. Failed me when I was .01%- yes you read that correctly- away from passing the class. This woman does not care about you or your grades. Run before it's too late.
This class is not easy to begin with so I do not blame her 100%. But she honestly was a big reason why I did not get the grade I wanted. None of the examples she does in class are close to what is on her exams. She always skips steps in her problem and will not mention she does unless you point it out. Try a different professor if possible.
Class started off easy since I knew a lot of calc from high school. But a month in the assignment become more tough. The tests are impossible, it's nothing like what she teaches. NO CURVE even though many people were receiving grades like 30-40%. Don't bother asking questions she will just roast you for weeks. I feel bad for unit circle boy...
Professor Diwadkar is not an easy instructor. She tends to make things harder then they seem and is not very clear at teaching. She knows the material but doesn't know how to teach it. The worksheets given in lab do not prepare for quizzes. The exams do not reflect what you do in quizzes. She tends to get offended when you ask questions. Avoid!!
Doesn't help students, very mean. She doesn't know how to grade.
I really struggled with this class, in my opinion i feel like if i had another instructor I could have learned more and done better. I learned more in my LAB than i did in the actual lecture. Sometimes I didn't even show up because there was no point, almost everyone struggled. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IF YOU WANT TO PASS!!!
I knew this class would be difficult but she made it near impossible. She enjoys demonstrating proofs and complicating the math. I did meet with her during her office hours and she did try to help. She even gave me points back on some of my exams after we reviewed them in her office. I would avoid her if possible, there are better profs.
This class really frustrated me. You could study all the material she gives you, but on the exams it will look completely different. I tested into this class having taken up to calculus in high school, so its not like I didn't have any prior knowledge of SIMPLE ALGEBRA. Coming from an A/B student I wouldn't recommend this class with her.
Awesome teacher. Highly recommend if you really want to learn math.
Worst teacher I have ever had in my entire life. she'll go on long lectures about topics that she won't even test you on. She won't even tell you what's important. SOOOO VAGUEEE. I'm honestly soo disappointed with her. Literally learned everything on my own. Don't take her even if she's the last teacher available. You're just asking to fail.
Worst professor I have ever had! She complicates everything she teaches and goes at in incredible fast pace. Her exams are difficult and nothing like the homework and quizzes. I highly recommend not taking her class.
Seriously people. Do not do it. I was in advanced math in middle school and was one year ahead in high school. I took calc in high school but i didnt take the AP exam, so I placed into 1800. My hs gpa was a 3.9 and Im going to get a C- in this class. Find a different professor. SERIOUSLY.
I've never had such a terrible time in a math course... ever! Her lectures never went too in-depth with material, which made her tests IMPOSSIBLE! Worst part is she doesn't curve any grade, which is completely ridiculous considering over half the class has no hope of passing this class. Avoid her at all costs.
Lectures nearly unintelligible, homework asynchronous with the exams, tests 200% harder than anything covered in class. Was absent until 2 wks after class started so it was too late to drop when I realized I didn't understand her. For the sake of your GPA, take this course with the Emerging Scholars Program and avoid this instructor entirely.
Let me just say that I took this class as a freshman. You're entirely on your own in this course. If it wasn't for the online hw tutorials I wouldn't know anything, but the tests are NOTHING like the hw or the quizzes. I would avoid, stats shouldn't have been as bad as it was. She is super nice and available to answer questions but I would avoid.
Teaching is a skill, and she does not have it. She will blame you and not herself. She doesnt change even though she encourages feed back. Tests are ridiculous. You practice simple problems, then she tests you with only the hardest questions she can find online. Do not even consider taking her
If you dont get at least a 70 on the final, then you automatically get a D in the class. Very mean, not available via email or outside of class. Hard to understand and approach. Her tests are very hard. I studied for at least 3 hours a day and still did horrible. The class itself isnt hard, she just makes it difficult and is very fast. DO NOT TAKE!
Professor Diwadkar teaches the material well. It is not difficult concepts if you do the suggested practice problems. However, her tests are way more difficult. The problems were always made difficult using algebra and derivatives and integrals you haven't used in a while. Felt as though exams focused more on that instead of the diff eq.
I am extremely good at math. I have never received below an A- in any of my math courses in college and in high school. By she is the worst teacher ever. Yeah I thought maybe rate my professor is wrong and shes actually good. No shes terrible everyone in my class got around a C. Grades are not uploaded until the semester is over. Bad at teaching.
I failed every single test, including the final, after endless amounts of studying & getting a private tutor of my own to walk me through each homework problem. Her tests are IMPOSSIBLE and have nothing to do with the things she teaches in class. She did pass me regardless of the fact that I failed everything.
no joke every single awful comment here is 100% true. it was my first semester at WSU and i loved math my whole life but hated it so much after taking a class with her. do not take any subject with her. DO NOT.
HORRRIBLE DO NOT TAKE. All she does is laugh and try to seem friendly yet she fails everyone. No help is given AT ALL. I would rather wait a semester than ever take her again. She literally gives random tests and quizzes and loves to fail. CANNOT TEACH
Quizes every Friday
Class can be tough to follow when she is teaching, seems like she talks faster as the semester went by. Material covered moves real fast, so teaching yourself is a must to pass this class. Hawkes online for the homework is bearable with Chegg, and she has moved dates to give us more time to complete the HW.
Very nice person but an absolute dreadful experience. Tests are way harder than hw and examples in class and there are no curves. Quizzes every week and attendance is required even though you're better off teaching yourself. Online hw is helpful but still felt dumber every chapter. Either signup with another professor or get a really good tutor!
If you are planning to take STATS 1020 I highly suggest a different professor. She can come across as very rude, and office hours were useless. The homework takes hours upon hours and is helpful, but then her fast paced information packed lectures left me and others confused. Waste all your time in lectures to go home and try to teach yourself.
Hated this class. She was hands down the worst math teacher I've ever had. She went through lessons way too fast, I had to teach myself everything. Online homework is helpful but you're teaching yourself, and the quizzes/tests are nothing like the homework. Grades super harsh and doesn't update your grade till the very end of semester.
Fine as a person. Class itself is based off of online hw which is a lot but not worth much, tests, quizzes, and worksheets. Not the best teacher in my opinion.
I am not usually bad at algebra based math. But this woman has single handendly destroyed all of the excitement that came with learning challenging math concepts. She is incapable of helping students develop the critical thinking patterns that are used in calculus courses. She also refuses to curve even though the majority of the class is failing.
if I didn't already take this in high school I would've failed. The only helpful thing in this course is that watch its on WebAssign. She is not available to answer emails or help because she doesn't want to be inconvenienced. Quizzes and tests are posted with no notice on Fridays or Saturdays and due in 24 hours. Grades are not updated for months
She is a very kind professor, but overall her course organization is just awful. She tried to establish a schedule for homework and quizzes early on, but ended up deviating from that schedule a lot. She would assign quizzes due on random days, and they were on older content as opposed to what was most recently learned in the lectures.
She's very disorganized and will assign hw and quizzes randomly. She once waited until Wednesday to assign a quiz, test, study guide, and 5 additional 2-3 hour assignments all due by the end of the week when finals were next week. Also, she waits until the end of the semester to grade everything and my final grade was posted with an ungraded quiz.
If you want to attend every lecture, learn nothing in class, then spend hours teaching yourself the material then this is the class for you! Seriously though none of her reviews match her exams/quizzes and those are the only thing she uses for your grade. Our class average on HER final was a 53% -_-
I had to teach myself because textbook and teacher were not helpful. The syllabys changed constantly. The grading takes forever, I waited 3 months for quiz to be graded. I ended up with few missing assignment but I turned everything in. I cried at the end of semester because of this class. Also, HW only takes 5% of total grade!!!!!!
i think the negative comments are very unfair. the class was your run of the mill calc course. weekly hw & quiz, videos in lieu of lecture (covid), and problem sesh. everything was short and to the point. exams were similar to practice material posted. she replied quickly & was available & helpful even for questions related to other math courses
Nothing against her as a person mostly, but not great as a professor. Its a crapshoot how fast you get email replies from a day to a couple weeks. Teaches things one way then comes up with test questions that make no sense and bear very little resemblance to if any to what she teaches. Im a math major who never had less than a B+, this was bad.
Horrible Is the only word I can think of. I used to enjoy math and actually be excited to learn but she took that all away. You learn absolutely nothing from her and her lectures. Good luck emailing her because she never ever responds. Overall avoid her at all costs, if there was a -10 rating I would giver her that.
Her lectures are useless and a waste of time. She turns seemingly simple concepts into difficult and disengaging concepts. Her quizzes and exams never mimic the reviews she offers so its always difficult to know exactly what to study for. Avoid her if you can!
Worst professor Ive ever had. Avoid her if you can, if you cant then I recommend getting Chegg or using different study methods like watching YouTube videos. In my opinion her lectures were a waste of time and hard to understand.
Very disorganized. Her lectures are hard to follow and she often had us watch and take notes on certain topics only to then use an entire class period to lecture about the exact same concept with the exact same examples. Her wording for exams is very difficult to understand. She is not responsive to emails. Avoid.
Stay away from this professor. She is a kind person, but is a tough grader. Her test questions are nothing like the ones in the lectures and if you do not have a Chegg account, then have fun spending 10 hours on the homework.
Her lectures/notes are not helpful. The examples rarely resemble her exams. Also, the homework can be difficult because the notes may not help. Her exams are not like the homework either. Even though we went through previous final exams, I think she wrote it for Winter 2021 term, and it was awful. Nothing really helped with the final.
This professor was very clear in her explanations. Not simple, but clear. This is super important because she would explain things in their exact form rather than giving you a handwavy alternative. She wouldnt let herself give a weak explanation in return for simplification. Super kind as well. Only complaint is webassign. Webassign is cancer.
Literally the worst class to ever exist. Do not what so ever take this class. I had a fully online class with no meetings what so ever yet she decided we need to have zoom meetings. She forces us to show cameras or we will not get a meeting grade in a FULLY ONLINE CLASS. She mandated an ORAL EXAM. With no exceptions to those who cant make it. TRASH
This professor is straight-up awful. The class was listed as asynchronous yet she still decided to hold zoom meetings for a grade. She also makes you take an oral exam on zoom with no exceptions whatsoever. Even though most of the class could not take it she went off on the class saying you have to take it with no exceptions. Would not take again.
Not a good professor at all, she does not answer emails Ive contacted her multiple times in person and she still won't answer my emails about a discrepancy in my grade, her classes are useless because she is all over the place so nothing makes sense, and she assigns a ridiculous amount of homework probably since she can't teach herself. Avoid!
This professor is an abomination to the WSU Math Department! She will make you watch her lectures and expects you remember her video word for word and will test you on math oral exams! An oral exam for a math class! I've lost all faith in the math department please do not take a class with this professor whether online or not to save your sanity!
She gives oral exams and expects you to read the book from cover to cover multiple times. She gives a lot of homework and its very hard to solve. She will make you hate math and hate Wayne State math department. Don't take math classes in Wayne State take them somewhere else if you don't want to waste $3k for nothing. STAY AWAY!!!
She's very nice but not when it comes to grades. The problem with her is that she doesn't understand what the students expect from a professor or what they want. She thinks that being harsh with students will help her in the long run. This is by far the worst math class I've ever taken. I'm surprised why she's still teaching.Math dept sucks.
Take your math classes somewhere else this class is AWWFFFULLL!! Be prepared to fail. Oral Exams, Homework, pop quizzes, meetings, etc. Take your money to another university.
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS NO MATTER WHAT. STAY AWAY.
The professor is nice in person but the grading sucks. She doesn't grade based on your level. She expects you to know a lot. Waste of money and time. Don't take this class if you care about your money and grades.
The worst class that I have ever had throughout my learning journey. She won't give a f*ck about your grades. She doesn't give students chances. What do you expect from an Indian professor? I never had a good Indian professor. They all have bad reputation and I'm not surprised. DON'T TAKE THIS CLASS
I wouldn't recommend this class to even my enemy lol. This class sucks.
Just a horrible experience. Couldn't understand a thing
Grades heavily on tests and doesn't take other forms of participation into consideration. Not a helpful or engaging teacher.
Has a bad attitude and is not personable. Difficult to approach for help.
Grades heavily on tests and doesn't take other forms of participation into consideration.
Makes the class much harder than it needs to be and has a hard time explaining concepts clearly.
This professor is disorganized and difficult to follow. His grading system is confusing and tests are unreasonably hard.
Doesn't know the material well and frequently becomes confused during lectures, wasting class time. Homework is a must to do well on tests.
Not helpful and doesn't care about student success. Tests are unnecessarily hard and there is no review or study guides provided.
Eccentric and strange, with a lack of clear explanations. Avoid if possible.
This professor has a terrible attitude and is not approachable for help. Avoid this class if possible.
Poor at explaining and lacks engaging teaching style. Struggled in this class despite being a good student.
Pathetic teacher who is difficult to understand and lacks engaging teaching style.
Has a major attitude problem and is not personable. Difficult to approach for help.
Unclear explanations and strange teaching style make it hard to understand the material. Avoid if possible.
Has a major attitude problem and is not approachable for help. Avoid this class if possible.
Unclear explanations and a disorganized class structure make it difficult to understand the material.
Terrible at explaining concepts and has a habit of belittling students. Avoid this class if possible.
Unclear and weird, with a lack of organization. Students who have this teacher are unlucky.
Very unorganized and difficult to follow. Grading scale is confusing and tests are unreasonably hard.
Terrible at communicating and explaining concepts. His lectures are a waste of time.
Poor teaching skills and lacks engaging style. Struggled in this class despite putting in effort.
Tests are unnecessarily hard and there is no review or study guides provided.
She doesn't use any visual aids or engage students in class, making it hard to stay interested in the material.
Not only does she favor certain students over others, she also violates university policy by not using the online platform correctly. On top of that, she is very unhelpful with questions and has a tendency to belittle students. I would avoid this class if possible.
This professor is an absolute disaster and doesn't seem to care about the success of her students at all. Not only is she disorganized and difficult to follow, her grading system is confusing and her tests are unreasonably hard. I would avoid this class if possible.
This professor is an absolute embarrassment and doesn't seem to care about the success of her students at all. She is really bad at explaining and it's hard to understand the material. On top of that, she grades heavily on tests and doesn't take other forms of participation into consideration. I would avoid this class if possible.
I can't believe how awful this professor is and how she doesn't care about the success of her students. Her lectures are completely disorganized and it's nearly impossible to follow along. On top of that, she is not approachable for help and has a tendency to belittle students. I would not recommend this class to anyone.
I can't believe how terrible this professor is and how she doesn't care about the success of her students. Her teaching skills are extremely poor and she doesn't know how to properly explain or teach the material. On top of that, she is very hard to follow and her grading scale is confusing. I would not recommend this class to anyone.
This professor is absolutely awful and doesn't seem to care about the success of her students at all. Her lectures are disorganized and it's nearly impossible to follow along, and she is not approachable for help or clarification. I would avoid this class if possible.
she have no idea what she is teaching and frequently realizes halfway through an example that she is teaching the wrong subject, she also favors certain students and violates university policy for online teaching. I would not recommend this class to anyone.
not explain anything, when asked to explain, she just writes nonsense on the board. On top of that, she favors certain students and violates university policy for online teaching. I would avoid this class if possible.
I can't believe how terrible this professor is and how she doesn't care about the success of her students. She is very unorganized.

I can't believe how terrible this professor is and how she doesn't care about the success of her students. She is very unorganized and difficult to follow. On top of that, her
her lectures were unclear and lacking in the information required for the homework. She would often only do half an example, or preform the example in a convoluted manner. She often even had the wrong answer. She was painfully slow at returning assignments, if she returned them at all and had no office hours.
Very tough prof. In order to pull off an B, one must work very hard at it. She DOES notice when students out work in and will reward them. Allover, not too bad of a class but take math classes somewhere else if you don't want to risk it.
I would recommend not taking this professor. I'm a math major and I hated the class. Her explanations are confusing and she goes off on random tangents that have little to do with the topic being discussed. I have never received lower than an A in any math class I have taken until now.
I was a math minor. I'm not any more. Thanks to her. She once made a mistake on a test, then marked everybody who guessed wrong because the correct answer would have been to leave the problem blank since there was a mistake. She also spent an entire 50 minute class period trying to do one homework problem we asked her about, only to get in wrong.
She makes so many mistakes when trying to explain things that its extremely hard to follow. Definitely stay away, especially if you don't have a good math background.
USELESS. BORING. Arguably the worst professor of any school in all of hertory. a Yakback recording of a dying gorilla would be a much more effective in teaching the class. she gave up trying to teach around the time she got tenure. extremely unorganized. i feel for the unfortunate souls that have to be related to this useless heap of junk.
Worst prof I have ever had. Her lectures make no sense and every test we took had at least one mistake in it, which she didn't realize until after we had all wasted a good part of our alloted time looking at it. Avoid taking a class from her if at all possible.
Terrible educator, very unclear and unhelpful. She often attempts to do homework problems and cannot solve them, leaving the class extremely confused. She then uses the computer to solve them, which is unhelpful because you can't use a computer for the tests. Unorganized in her lectures and usually messes everything up on the board.
Do not take her if you want to stay sane. Wayne state is dying
Highly recommend staying away from this teacher unless you are okay with fully teaching yourself this class on you own time. Lecture are not easy to digest, found online videos to be bigger help.
Horrible. I had to drop hers class. I do not understand what she lectures about. I just don't like hers teaching.
Had absolutely no idea what she was teaching and would realize halfway through an example that she was teaching the wrong subject. Awful. Do not take. Ever.
Really bad at explaining. I just relied on web assign videos
I'm not a lazy student. I put effort into the class to try and do good. She knows hers stuff, she is just horrible at explaining it. Good person, bad teacher. I failed the class and took it again with a different professor and got an a.
She was not helpful when it comes to grades. She was not a good teacher, rarely finished a whole example, when she did, it was usually wrong. There was a minimum of two presentations, she would always say that correctness didn't matter. When students would present and get the question wrong, she would embarrass them. Any teacher is better than her.
had this professor last fall, she does the easiest problems in the class but gives the hardest questions in the exams. The ridiculous thing is she gives 7% of the grade if you do a problem on the board (don't remember how many you're supposed to do) in front of a class (which is impossible for me as an introvert) if you don't then you lose your 7%.
Grade only depends on 4 quizzes and 3 exams (including the final). You can get the answer right but if she doesn't like your work she marks you down a lot. I had to retake it and got an A. Incredibly hypocritical. barely shows work on her questions but expects whole essays to prove and explain your answers (even for 1+1). Please avoid.
-Awful weighted system (acing HW quizzes does nothing, attendance and tests will tank your grade) -Too many pop quizzes (3 questions worth 50 points) -Outside materials/assistance is REQUIRED -Has/will tell you to drop out if you're struggling -No quiz makeups or retakes, regardless of reasoning -Rambling; word salad explanations bless her heart..
never replies to emails
She failed 15 students and almost all the rest passed with a C. She refused to give us the answers to the study guide questions so we weren't able to study properly for the exams. She was disrespectful to me and other students. Attending class was a complete waste of time, and taking it is so far my biggest college regret.
doesnt know how to teach and the school doesnt care. My whole class tried to talk to the dean about her terrible grading, teaching, and unmatching tests to study guides but they responded with "we cant help you". if its the only class that can fit your schedule trust me DO NOT take it. the grade is gonna force u to retake it anyways.
She is a nice person but definitely should not be a teacher. You get points for attending class, but you don't gain much from going. I taught myself most of the material, and my quiz scores went from 1/10 to 10/10 because of this. However, on the final, I got 46/100, but the average was 40/100. Do what you will with that information!
I thought she taught the first half or so of the class very well, but, as the material got harder, I had to rely more on the textbook to teach myself. Thankfully, I only got really confused in the last couple weeks, so it didn't effect my grade much.
Typical weed-out class. She has a good demeanor and is passionate about mathematics, and would probably make for a great graduate-level professor, but her grading standards and lack of proper preparation for exam material make it unnecessarily difficult to succeed. She's great if you plan on pursuing a math PhD but painful for everyone else.
honestly she cannot teach and me personally i don't really believe that SHE understands the material fully. she does not explain material well at all and just rambles about anything me and another classmate of mine literally had to teach ourselves the material. the work she does in class is no where near what she gives on tests and exams. DONT TAKE
Many people complain about her in stats, I took her for MAT 2860, Discrete Mathematics. She was extremely helpful and thorough in explaining concepts, and if you're confused attend office hours. She is accessible and provides many opportunities for extra credit, as long as you go to her. Participate, engage, study, and you'll be okay. Not bad prof.
The professor is nice but her weekly quizzes are difficult and confusing. She does require you to go up to the board and solve two problems on the board throughout the semester which are 20 points total (equiv to assignments which is 5% each). Class is very quiz and test heavy so study a lot for those, especially the quizzes.
Just pick another class, if there's no other options wait for next semester. Please.
Do not do it trust me
Getting an A is possible, however you must learn everything outside of the class.
Really recommend staying away from her it will save you a lot of stress. she teaches important things horribly and wastes time. Her tests are always trash with the most annoying, tedious numbers. She will make this class hard, kill any excitement for math and is a horrible grader.
She struggles to actually teach the material, this was true across all her sections. The average on every major test and final was a 65 or lower, and she never even had the intention of curving. She's a nice person but she really cant teach the material. I would avoid taking her class at all costs. Do not take.
