Had Dr. Braun for Calc III online. Unlike many of my previous distance education professors, Dr. Braun clearly took an interest in making sure the online experience was as valuable as a traditional class. Very highly rated if you are interested in really learning the material and demonstrating mastery of same.

Dr. Braun is a great teacher. I am taking calculus 1325 with him and Im passing with an A! he is always available to answer questions and always replies to emails. Calculus is not easy but if you study and do HW you will at least pass with a B.

Professor Braun is such a wonderful teacher. School is not easy and so is his class. If you do all of his homework in advance and review it, you?ll do just fine. Prof Braun is a very helpful prof. I took calc online with him during the spring 2010 and he was always available to help. He replies to emails promptly and care about the progress of his students. Helpful Teacher even though I took his online course.

I took his online class and the day of our first test I went into labor, i sent him a quick email before i went to the hospital and he let me take my test a couple days later and he opened back up the homework that i had missed. He is a great professor, this is the class to take if you're scared about math, and/or have a full load

Dr. Braun is an excellent math/calculus instructor, especially for online distance education. He makes himself available on the blackboard with quick response time to questions. He helps you to learn the subject and does not just give you the answer which is how you learn the subject material. I highly recommend Dr. Braun.

Dr. Braun provides very useful handwritten lecture notes. He is extremely helpful, and answers emails promptly, usually on the same day. He gives you bonus points for solving other students' homework questions. This can improve your grade a lot. Best online prof I've ever had, and I've had many.

I would highly recommend anyone who like me is not a math person at all to take this class with this professor. This professor gives you plenty of bonus points which trust me really helps your grade in the end. I couldnt' really get any of the bonus points because of work and other classes but the few that I recieved helped me a lot.

Dr. Braun is one of the best professors I've ever had. I took his online class and using MyMathLab is actually very VERY useful (use the examples), and I now prefer it over other methods of quizzes/hw. Homework and tests are through webassign.com. I have taken Dr. Braun for Calc I and III, both online. Got A's in both. As long as you do the homeworks and don't procrastinate by letting them pile up till the day they are due you will do fine.

I was taking this class in this summer. He is a very good teacher. He replied email very fast. He is also very helpful. I was taking this class by online. He gave us a reasonable homework and test! He is rock! I recommend every body to take him. You have a chance to get an A if you study and do your homework. Homework is such a mandatory for him!

Wonderful format for class! I took the exact same class the previous semester and was forced to drop. That professor required tons of mandatory homework that was only worth 10% of the overall grade. Busy work! If I'm taking an online math course, I am only taking Dr. Braun. He makes an A or B obtainable.

I was apprehensive before taking this class. But if you study hard and do your homeworks, you will be in good shape. He is extremely helpful

I had problems (don't worry you won't have these)while in this class and the professor supported me and others the entire way! He is known for being blunt, but his heart is gold! I bought 5th ed text $6 with his notes and his swift help it was perfect! There is ample opportunity to get a good grade. Homework is 50% and discussions can add up to 10%

professor braun is someone who is willing to work with you if you are willing to work with him. he responds as soon as he can. he is fare and always sets a high standards for his students. he wants you to do well but also get what you earn.

I really enjoyed this class. This professor is extremely responsive and responds to absolutely everything. It is clear that his intention is to encourage learning and understanding. Although the material can be difficult, this is one of the best math classes I have taken. I would highly encourage this professor.

I enjoyed Prof Braun's Plane TRIG online Course. No need to buy the Trig book because we buy access to mymathlab which provides access to the book. It is straight forward, he responds quickly, and provides extra credit to those who provide tips to classmates. As long as you complete the homework assignments you should do very well.

Cal 3- Course was fairly difficult, not a fan of WebAssign... I like MyMathLab much better. Had a problem with some of my test answers not being submtted but Dr. Braun was extremely helpful and prompt and got the problem sorted out immediately (saved my test grade!) Definitely recommend him!

The class was well developed and clear. My only problem was that it went too fast for me and the test were not long enough. I felt immense pressure to finish and did not have enough time to really check my work. He was very quick to respond to any and all questions. Also very direct. I really liked that.

He is extremely helpful and goes out of his way to help students. He replies promptly if you have a question esp on blackboard. The class is not easy so are required to put in effort. I can honestly say...I am by far good in math but I stayed on top of my hwrk and passed test and made a B. I recommend you take him, gives bonus pts just to answer questions...easy grade but have to be determined to learn!

I found the course itself to be difficult, but Dr. Braun makes the class a little bit easier with extra credit and he is extremely helpful. I had to refer to my textbook alot to clarify homework problems.

Calculus is not difficult as most think, to me it is not hard at all because I took this class with Dr. Braun, a really great & helpful prof. As any other math class, you have to practice a lot to understand the concepts and formulas. But dont worry cuz u r not alone. Everyone, either prof Braun or ur classmates will always be available and willing to help you out. If you want to learn n not a slacker, I highly recommend to take his class.

This professor is great. You do have a lot of homework but plenty of time to do it as well as 5 test and the final. Your lowest test grade is dropped.Uses "My Math Lab" which is where all test and homework are located. No textbook needed.He's very helpful and cares to help you pass. If you are lazy this is not the class for you!

Dr. Braun is really helpful and understanding. took the class online and he made easy for us to get the material. Lots of homework requiring some organization. the homework counts for 50% of the final grade, but students have plenty of time to do it. overall it was a good experience.

Everything was fine. Paired with the other course I took and my full-time job, getting through the course required serious time-management. I found the topic very enjoyable. Dr. B was very helpful. The MML software sometimes makes rounding errors...but that's not Dr. B's problem.

I took Math 2413 Calculus I online for the Spring 2011 semester with Dr. Braun. He is a really good professor, the notes are clear, the instructions and expectations are outlined. If you follow the class guidelines and expectations you should have no problem. Do the homeworks and you will be able to pass the tests. Very helpful with quick response.

If you keep track of the homeworks you'll be fine. The only bad thing that I suggest is to take away the 70% of all homework in order to take a test!! You'd love being in his class :)

This professor is amazing. I took him online. This class is not a piece of cake but it is not hard at all. There are 4 tests(lowest grade dropped) and a final. Take him if you have time. Homework counts 50% of the grade. Test questions come from the HW. make sure you have 70% in all your HW to be able to take the test.It was amazing.

The grading system was very fair in his class. If you do well on the homework you can afford to less than average on the tests. He give participation points so you can raise your grad by 1/2 a letter grade by just participating in discussions. This class was taken online. Beware that he uses WebAssign to grade/administer tests and homework.

Took Cal 1-3 & Lin Alg at HCC Central and his class was by far the best experience. You can count on quick, thorough, WORKED OUT responses to your questions (not just hints). He's respectful without babying students. Grading system is very forgiving (drops lowest test, gives extra cred. for answering Q's). Altogether great guy, highly recommended.

You have got to be at least average in math to succeed in this class. Otherwise don't expect grade higher than C. Didn't get an A only because I was lazy.

I took Calc 1 online and you will do great in the class as long as you complete your homework on time. The homework is very beneficial as exam prep and makes up a huge portion of your grade. Dr. Braun is also very helpful.

Dr. Braun's class makes you disciplined and better able to manage you time. He is strict but will make allowances if you had a genuine reason to miss the deadline. He will help solve your most challenging HW problems if you post it in the format he asked. Overall, do your HW (it's 50% of your grade!) and you'll be fine. My easiest math class ever!

Second time taking a course taught by Dr. Braun online and would again if I had to. Format of class and grading criteria makes passing Calculus attainable. Must do homework (50%), and it helps tremendously. I like how assignments are just what you need to succeed, not extra "busy work" problems.

I didn't do too well on my tests, and HW but, managed a 100 on the final so Dr. Braun bumped up my grade from a "D" to a "C". This lets me transfer the credits!

This class was challenging for me because I took it during the summer along with 3 other classes. The main reason I thought it was hard was because all of the HW assignments but they were helpful in preparing you for the exams. Dr. Braun is very helpful if you have a question and he even allows you to earn extra credit by helping other students.

I took this professor for an online course and it worked out very well for me. There is a lot of work but it is doable and as long as everything is done on time it is easy to make an A in this class!

Dr. Braun is pretty awesome. You will definitely pass if you do ALL the homework. I took trig online, and HW counts as 50% of the grade, so it's easy to pass. There are 3 tests, lowest one dropped, and the other two count as 25%, final is also 25%. He also gives you bonus points for helping people with questions they have. Recommended!

I really enjoyed the class! Although the course was fast paced, I did my very best to keep up with the assignments. If I had to take another math course, I'd take it with Dr.Braun, HANDS DOWN !

Professor was prompt with responses to email about homework, tests and questions. I took Prof. Braun course, Trig, via the internet and dislike math but found I liked the subject. If you are looking for a math class and don't mind learning on your own (Braun will hel if needed as will classmates) then I strong recommend this professor.

This class is straight forward to the point. There is a ton of hw so it will consume your life. BUT all the tests are online including the final. Get a tutor, do the work, participate in discussion, and get an A!

Easy system. Do homework, take test. You do have to put some time into it. I will be taking the next level of college algebra with Dr. Braun. Put in the time and get the results is that simple.

Pretty easy class if you follow directions. 4.0 for this class. Do your homework, no exceptions of which come on this is college you should be doing it anyways. The only thing bad I have to say is the pdf format for help online. Not everyone can do this and if you don't know how to start there is nothing to show in PDF to begin with.

I took his online course. The text book, exercise and videos chosen are clear and easy to understand. It's convenient for busy people. But I recommend people who have time not to take his online course as he requires complicated steps to ask question. In addition, the website is inflexible and cause me lots of trouble finding the answer it accepts

Dr. Braun is my Calc-3 prof. and he is a great professor. I would recommend him to everyone. He helps out a lot. The tests are very similar to the homework.

I struggle when it comes to Calculus, but this class was easy to understand and Dr. Braun is very helpful. The homework assignments and tests are similar. I have never taken a math course with this much ease and I am the worst at math. I advise you to take this professor if you do/don't like Calculus.

It wasn't the teacher's fault that I got my first B ever, it was due to the fact that I didn't try. The homework itself weighs at 50% of your grade. I got a 95 on my hwk but recieved 70, 92, and 67 on my tests. I still got out with a high B due to the homework. If you're willing to do the work, I recommend this teacher!

Since I was transferring this course to another institution, I didn't put maximal effort since I had two other courses during the summer. However, I knew what to expect in this class, and I am very satisfied with the level of help and guidance. I highly recommend Dr. Braun for any Calculus course.

I took his class online and received an A+. He weighs 50% of your grade on your homework. As long as you can manage your time during the week to complete all of the homework, there is no reason anyone should receive less than a B. Also, the professor was extremely communicative and helpful anytime I needed assistance or had a question.

Dr. Braun's format for his Distance Education course worked out great for me. While working 50 hours a week and taking other classes I was often extremely busy but Dr. Braun was always quick to reply to any question and the homeworks provided great grade oppurtunities and kept me up to date on material. This class was much better than I expected. Although this was my first DE since I joined HCC, it was more convenient than attending regualr classes. Dr. Braun is always willing to help you long as you put effort. However, if you want easy grade, I would not recommend this class.Personally, this class will be worthy, if you are hard-working hustla.

I really liked Dr. Braun's grading style. With the homework being 50% of the grade, if you do all of it you can get an A in the class. Tests and Final are mostly fill-in-the-blank; some test questions come directly from homework and notes. Dr. Braun was fast to answer homework questions, and promoted class participation. he is good teacher, i took him 3 different math classes so far, and i definitely take him for my cal 3. Strongly recommend him. The thing i don't like is that he use the webassign.com instead of mathlab.

on-line, 8 wk summer. The amount of HW was intense for short session & it is required to do well in the class. Braun was an excellent dist ed teacher. He provided excellent notes (of his own making), and helpful videos. He made himself daily available on the HW forum to answer questions and provide a place for students to help each other out.

I took the prof via DE. Calculus is not easy, especially when doing it online. Unless math comes easily for you, be prepared to study a lot. That said, the professor has always been there for me when I needed his help. He always takes his time to respond to our inquiries. Do not listen to those who rated Dr. Braun poorly, he did his part.

DR. Braun exemplifies what a Distance Education instructor should be about. He promptly answers to all questions posted. It's too bad I knew about it in my last semester, otherwise I would hadve taken the whole calculus series with him.My only tip about taking his class is: DO YOUR HOMEWORK!!!!

Professor is very responsive to your questions regarding the material. The online Calculus III course is as expected, an online course that requires self-learning and is not easy. So any questions I had about the homework, he repied that same day.

Easiest DE math class I have ever taken!

I have taken Calc-1 and Calc-3 on-line with Dr.Braun, he was by far the responsive on-line teacher I had. His grading system is fair. Test are average. Do not be mistaken on-line calculus takes a lot of self discipline and work. Dr Braun is a great teacher but calculus 2 and 3 can be challenging just the same. I received an A in all 3 Calc classes.

Very organized and responds EXTREMELY fast. It's almost a competition to be the first to respond to a student's question. Not really a people person imo, and is not very lenient in regards to online material, but makes up for it by his unparalleled organization.

Calculus was tough for me personally but prof was helpful! Print HWAs, tests, etc. and keep eveything until end of semester to use as study guide and you will pass!

He is a very helpful teacher. The only key to passing his class is to work on HW regularly and keep them in a binder as a study guide. Good DE professor.

Professor is fair and quick to respond to students. I took his distance online class. He makes no exceptions to deadlines however, so if something happens and you are unable to turn in an assignment on time, too bad. This was a little frustrating but it is fair to the other students and reasonable. He is a good professor.

I Took his class online. Do all your HWA(HomeWork Assignment) and you will be successful during the test. The class was neither easy nor hard. Just study, do the homework, and respect the deadlines because he is strict toward deadlines. The examples on the HWA, in the My Math Lab,in most cases, was easy to follow. I would recommend this instructor for future students.

Although I took this as an online class, the professor still give you study notes (written by himself)for all chapters, which are extremely clear and helpful (of course the illustrations could not be compared to computer-generated graphs in your textbook).

Though any online based class is difficult due to self-teaching, I found this to be a very relaxed yet stern class. Professor Braun was very flexible and I feel gave plenty of time for homework assignments and exams. I would definitely recommend him :)

It was an overall easy course. Math is my hardest to understand especially with all those FRACTIONS. The professor is willing to help though whenever you need it.

Class was great it feels like he does want all students to pass not like some of the psycho professors who have done phd and expects the college students to be like them. In order to succeed in this class, you need time and dedication for self teaching and practice. This was my first time taking math online and my last. The tests are on the dreadful Webassign. Dr. Braun is there to help if you ask for it.

For a DE professor, he was very responsive.

This course is for disciplined self-teaching students. However, Dr B. is there to assist you along the way. Quick responses and very understanding. I fell a couple of points short of B and still passed with a B! Do Homework for 30%, best 3 out 4 tests for 30%, and 40% Final.

Was a very good teacher. He gives you all of the tools you need. He makes sure you know what the test will be like, what is expected. For such a difficult subject (I had a tough tough time) he responded to questions with scans of the problems. Very helpful for us visual learners.

I took with Dr Braun Calculus 1 and Calculus 3, he was very nice and always willing to help I wish he is teaching Math 2320. Final was a combination from previous tests and reviews he gave us we could not ask for more. Thank u Dr Braun

I'm awful at math, but this class has been manageable, although I've studied a lot. Dr. Braun is very helpful and super quick to respond to emails, which is nice. If you fail this class, it's your own fault. Tests aren't bad at all if you do the HW, but the timing of them is my only complaint (from Friday at 7 PM through Sunday at 9 PM).

Online math is difficult but Dr. Braun is the man to take. It is by no means a cake walk but if you apply yourself it will pay off. Very help and responds quickly to questions. Only the final is proctored and can be taken at another testing center.

Dr. Braun was very helpful throughout this course. He appreciates the level of difficulty associated with taking an online course and is alawys prompt in answering any questions you may have. Great proffessor, very knowledgeable, and always willing to help.

I appreciated Professor Braun's clear and direct instructions on how to be successful in this class. All the resources needed to learn the lessons are available. He also gave fair warnings about what would happen if you did not keep up with this fast paced class.

This was my first online class and I did struggle with the pace and having to juggle other courses and work. Dr. Braun is very clear and gives plenty of heads up about what happens when you don't dedicate the time needed. Dr. Braun responds to queries very fast and wants to see his students do well. I wish he taught Engineering Math!

Dr. Braun is nice and fair. He responds quickly to email. This was my first online course. The pace was extremely fast. I would not recommend a 5 week online math class to anyone. If you have to do it though, Dr.Braun is a good prof to go with.

Dr. Braun is a great online instructor. He is attentive to student questions and very helpful. I strongly recommend taking his online class for Calculus III. The work is extensive, and you must be disciplined and do every homework assignment; however his questions are straight-forward and his grading is fair. It is a rewarding experience.

Professor Braun was straightforward with his class. There were no curve balls and the tests were doable. I would take the class if your willing to do the homework daily and are committed to quite a bit of work. With that being said there are better teachers out there if you are just trying to pass the class.

Dr. Braun was a wonderful professor to have. He made learning Cal 3 fun and actually interesting. He was always more than willing to help and he was very fair. If you put the work in he will give you the grade you deserve at the end even if you fall a little behind. Dr. Braun in the man and a great teacher as well. I definitely recommend him.

I ended up with a C+ and honestly that was doing as little as possible. Dr. Braun was awesome at answering back very quickly to any emails or questions I had with this course. His notes were very thorough and his tests were just like the homework. This class does require a lot of discipline, time, and studying but its not bad at all!

He is very helpful. I would highly recommend him. I took it in summer and got an A easily.Do all your homeworks and put your time into it, you will be just fine
