Great professor! All you need to do is go to class, do your work and you'll be fine. Highly recommend her, shes super nice and really cares about you.

Her class would drag on at times but she did get best to explain the material as easy as possible and was very open to finding ways to helping students and (for example, she'd given us an opinion to Skype chat if we could not meet in person).

Very easy class. She was very helpful in her critics. She made the class very fun. She tries to make conferences easy for students. Overall, she was great.

Take her! She kept our class fun and interesting and was always available for extra help. I learned so much and she is a great teacher. Even if you feel pretty good at writing she will push you to reach an even higher level than you thought you could do. She isn't stuffy or unapproachable, very down to earth and she will help you.

If you are an international student I suggest you to take this class with this teacher. She is wonderful ! She understand that English is not your first language and try to help you as much as she can to make you write like a real native English speaker. Take into account her feedback from the drafts of the papers because at least you can get a B+

Research needs to be done for this class, and it takes up a good amount of time. She really does want you to do well in the class and provides feed back on all rough drafts. Her lectures are boring and unnecessary but attendance is mandatory, as it makes up part of your grade. Very nice and easy to talk to. Always willing to answer any questions.

She is one tough grader when in comes to essays. Tons of hw to do throughout the semester, so that saves your grade a bit. Attendance for her class is mandatory. One positive thing is she is extremely helpful. This class was alright not too bad, but take a better professor if you can.

I just finished my first semester of college(Summer B) I'm so thankful for having Kacee as my ENC professor. She is amazing, cool & down to earth. For this semester we only had to write 3 papers and a group presentation as a final. I will never forget the time she skyped with my group and I when we were having trouble. I'm taking her again for fall, she's the coolest professor I've ever had. It wasn't too difficult, but you have to put in the effort. She tries to make class as interesting as possible too, so you won't be bored out of your mind the entire time. Get creative, even with the boring assignments. She'll love it.

Sign in attendance is required. Gives homework but gives sufficient amount of time to do so. Not a very difficult class. If you need help with anything, she will help and make things clear. Class is not difficult at all, just show up and do the work.

Amazing instructor, always ready to help students she is very empathetic and understanding of unexpected circumstances. She offers optional group and individual conferences take advantage it is a great way to receive feedback on your work. She also provides samples for every paper that she expects you to write take advantage and follow the format .

Kacee is one of the best english teachers I have had. She is very easy and very understanding when it comes to assignments. She helps you out so much with optional conferences and really wants you to do well in your papers. Very easy A if you work hard and focus on your papers.

She's great. Research paper is really easy if you pick a topic you're really interested in. Gives great feedback. Take advantage of one-on-one conferences. Sometimes doesn't really answer your questions, more of an indirect answer. Really funny and chill. The two books she assigns are really helpful.

She's a great teacher. She gives you a good amount of work but all the assignments have a wide range for when they're due. I got an A in her ENC1102. She's kind of awkward at first, once you get to know her she's cool. I recommend this professor. She isnt that much of a tough grader she just lets you resubmit it after changes.

Gives a lot of homework. Let's you do partial and complete drafts. Gives extra credit. The textbook was used like twice for homework. Lectures are kind of boring but she is extremely helpful. NO TESTS. One project for the whole semester. Major thing about this teacher is that she can compromise and help you on ANYTHING. She saved me from failing.

She cares a lot about her students. She responds to emails very quickly and if you have trouble with any of your writing she has office hours and she is always on Skype. I do not recommend taking her for an 8AM class because she speaks in a very slow manner. But overall class was fairly easy, NO TESTS, but a lot of writing. Would recommend!

Cool and chill teacher. She's like a student lol. She made us do a lot of writing but gave us time to do it in class so wasn't too much outside work. apart from that class was interesting and enjoyable. NO EXAMS.

Took her for summer class. You have one final paper in which you work throughout the whole semester. the grades are based on your progress of the paper, she reviews it EVERYTIME, giving you the opportunity to improve your grade and get a perfect final perfect. She ven gives you her Skype so you can contact her. Work for it and you'll get an A.

probably one of the easiest classes ive ever taken, shes super chill and makes you write 1 paper and 1 research proposal. each one of these assignments she does step by step with you for like 2 weeks. and 4 vlogs which are pretty cake, shes also usually cancels a lot of classes which is pretty awesome

Easiest class I ever had! She had to be absent a lot but was available on Skype if we wanted to ask her anything and responded to emails quickly. She was very understanding if we had to be absent as well, she offered to extend my paper because I was kind of sick. She is super chill and funny, and cares about the students passing her class, take!!!

Kacee Belcher is an excellent professor. She is extremely helpful with all of the assignments as they are geared to you really grasping the concept of writing a technical paper and how each component of it is used to articulate the paper's purpose. She gets the job done above and beyond what the course description entails. Take her if you can!

Do your self a favor and take her for this course and you would not regret. A couldn't be any easier to get with this professor. Gives you really good feedback if you did something wrong in the papers or project, she lets you do it again to get full credit.

This class was a cake walk. Show up and 100% on attendance. You will cruise because she makes the grading criteria easier than fair. Chill teacher and chiller class... Very understanding.

The best professor Ive had until now.I will be taking ENC1102 with her. She genuinely cares for students and how they feel. Very relaxed and understanding. I would definitely take a class with her. I actually learned smooch in her class. Homework and assignments where not heavy at all.

Belcher was a great instructor for ENC1101 and 02. She is extremely laid back and takes communication seriously when projects are given. There isn't much homework (possibly once a week), attendance is graded (you do not need to worry about being a few minutes late), and she personally discusses your work in class. Homework is based on completion.

Kacee is a literal gem, she isn't harsh, is super approachable and gives amazing resume advice. she doesn't give much homework and their is some semblance of group work most of the time. if i were ever going to take another class with Kacee teaching i would do it in a heartbeat.

Professor Belcher was amazing! She is very understanding and caring and very clear about all assignments. She allows you to revise your work for a better grade which I really appreciated. As an incoming freshman, I was worried that my grades would be effected by remote learning. Professor Belcher made this process extremley easy for me. She is super sweet, caring, and understanding. Prof. Belcher is one of the best profs I've had at FIU. This class was not only extremely interesting and relevant to the current times, but Prof. Belcher also made it extremely enjoyable. She's kind and funny and is always there to help when you need it. The class feeds off of each other in lectures and the time goes by quickly. 10/10

Prof. Kacee was amazing. She allowed us to be creative and truly feel like we were in a safe space to creatively write about topics that we felt passionate about. Although there is a lot of homework, her kindness and class structure makes up for it. I would highly recommend taking her class.

What a pleasure. This course was set up to have lots of small graded writing assignments. Gives good feedback. If you need more, just ask for it! She said we needed the textbook, but in practice we used the textbook very very little.

Best Professor Ever. She's truly passionate about the subject, makes the class fun and very easy to understand as she goes well into detail. We had many assignments but no exams and each was graded fairly and according to rubric on the syllabus. She's very outgoing, friendly, and understanding! She really cares about you and your grade.

This is the realest review for ENC 1102 (fully online) you're going the get. This class is A LOT of work for a UCC req. I'm taking summer A, and you have at least 2 assignments (that take a while), due every other day. She is kind, and very clear about what she wants, but it is SO MUCH WORK you could avoid by taking a CLEP exam. Don't do it.

She is GREAT! If you are coming from a heavy essay writing class like ENC1102 (like I did) and want to ease into a writing course that can be a bit of a GPA booster, take her. You select a topic and basically change up your audience, genre, and it gives you a way to look at it other angles. SUPER LENIENT but do not take her kindness for granted :)

she is an awesome teacher! not only is she extremely kind, but she's very understanding and is willing to give extra time. i just took her class this past semester, however while taking an online class, there is work due mondays wednesdays and fridays, so be sure to pace yourself properly.

Professor Belcher was amazing. I took ENC 1101 over the summer, and she was the perfect professor. I wish I got her as my teacher for next semester. Since it was a 3-hour class she asked the class if we wanted a break or work straight through and we chose to work straight through. For the majority of the semester, she let us out an hour early.

This teacher is great when it comes to grading. I took her for the summer and even though it was a 3-hour class it was not heavy and difficult. She accepts late work. Was doing a assignment wrong and I couldn't submit it on time, she gave me 10/10 for completion, understanding and just waiting for my final draft. I recommend her, very chill class.

Kacee Belcher was a great professor for ENC 1101, by far my favorite teacher. She's laid back and easy to talk to, whether it's about school related topics or random topics. She builds connections with students, and with this it's easier for the students to learn and grasp the topics. She has helped me tremendously in becoming a better writer.

Belcher wants her students to pass, so if you put in no effort then she cannot help you. She was very understanding when I turned in assignments late and champions empathy to her students with mental health challenges. Email her ahead of time if you missed something and she will give you grace to complete it. Sets clear guidelines and is respectful

Lots of discussion posts through the semester some long but most are mid length (500 words or so). While there is a word count, she grades on content rather than the strict word count. Final is completed through the last couple of weeks and is simple and based on what you choose to do! Prof is not the quickest to respond, but she does nonetheless.

Truly appreciated Kacee's time and effort! She was very understanding, laid-back, and easy to talk to. The workload was quite a bit, but still manageable. Gives great feedback and puts in the effort to make things smooth for students. Put in the effort, and you will be fine. Take her if you can!

This professor was by far one of the best professors I have ever had. She is super understanding when it comes to late submissions and overall. I sent an email explaining my situation and she accepted my work that was almost 2 months late, FOR FULL CREDIT. I highly recommend taking ENC1102 with this professor.

She's extremely understanding, caring, and approachable. Not a lot of work and attendance is not always mandatory. The work is light and if you ever need her she is accessible outside class.
