this teacher has such a passion for government that he teaches in a way that he thinks everyone should have the same passion. he treats everyone like they are idiots if you dont love government. He is extemely extremely boring.
nice professor, helpful. just make sure to attend lecture and you should do fine.
Government is not my favorite subject. This professor is just like any other gov. professor. It is clear though that he tries his best to help us understand.Be sure to attend all his classes and don't slack off with study guides.
Took online Govt. class with this professor, very organized and makes the class interesting. I would recommend Dr. Ayachi.
2301 online class went smoothly. Organized, up to date and replies to emails if you need help.
Took online class with him, great Professor, very helpful, answers emails quickly, just do the work and you will be fine.
I recommend Dr. Ayachi, class was interesting. He is also flexible and helpful.
Everything in this class was clear, teacher is really into student success. I really recommand Prof. Ayachi
Took online Govt. 2302 at BHC. Straight forward class, very respecful instructor.
Took his Govt 2301 class online, not too much work at all. Just stay on top of the deadlines and you should be fine. I really winged this class and barely got an A but if you study there's no reason you shouldn't walk out with a 100.
respectful teacher
Super super hard class!!! Gives extra credit once in a while, but is a very hard and demanding class. Teacher is nice though.
Super Hard and Strict class. He dont want to help student like other professor. Do not make a mistake my choosing him. hard to get grades. No review for tests. question are really really Hard. You will be regretted. Don't take him. Useless prof.
I am currently enrolled in maymester course at Richland college. Professor is EXTREMELY liberal and imposes his views to the whole class. GOVT profs should teach all sides of govt, not promote liberal views and mock conservative republicans. Kacem Ayachi is a joke. The questions on practice exams are poorly worded and do not come from book or class
Overall great class this spring , prof. Ayachi is nice and fair did well, recommend.
Almsot done with this class and I will finish with a high A. Took the summer II course. Three deadlines for quizzes, discussion, and one essay for the entire semeseter. Very easy.
Took online Govt. 2302 Summer 1. Helpful professor, good class.
JUST completed 2306 in summer 2, staright forward class, did good, recommend.
Currently enrolled. I haven't been as proactive as I should. My initial interest was not where it should have been. However, I am very interested now & although it is a VERY hard class for me, I'm really trying to achieve what I need to. Test questions hard. Professor Ayachi has been very helpful & I appreciate how much he has done for me.
Mr Ayach was not an easy class but if you show effort and hard work he will help you out. I was bound to only make a B with all my efforts but showing hard work and the strive to get an A. he managed to help me out. He's courteous and understanding.
Will never take from this professor again. I passed but this was awful online class. Could not get responses emailed timely to email, etc. Not helpful. Would not recommend. Some just aren't good.
Good class, very helpful teacher.
Strongly recommend Dr. Ayachi, straight forward class, just finsihed Winter term.
He is straight forward from the beginning, which I liked. He even offered extra credit. This class is an easy B, if you do the work. There is A LOT of reading, so it is a bit of a shock. I made a C, even with having zeroes on three of the quizes/tests because I didn't attempt them.
Dr.Ayachi is not a hard teacher, but b/c there was not many assignments to do, it doesn't give you much time to make an A in that class. He gives a test review and the questions are mostly like the test questions, so it would help if you do the review. He does give some extra credit opportunity w/community service since this was an honors class
He is a great instructor. The test might be little tricky, but this is a college level class not a HightSchool. do your Job as a student and you will get minimum B.
This class was difficult, but I made a "B". How? You have to buckle down and get your work done by or before the due dates.Don't make the mistake, thinking this is a easy online course. Take it seriously and do what he expects of you. Overall, he is a good teacher and his rules/assignments are very easy to understand.
Professor actually cares about the material and incorporates critical thinking into the assignments.
There are 15 quizzes, and you can take them twice in case you didn't do good the first time. there are 4 discussions at 250 words each, but mine were over 1,000 because he asks really deep questions and expects a lot from the students because we are in 'college' as he says. and a 150 word reply. a final research paper, tough grader, replies fast
This instructor's quiz questions were complicated and confusing, and included material that was not in the text (I read the material and still got many wrong answers). Then, I'd never get clarifications on what the correct answers were. How can I learn if I'm not being shown why my choices are mistaken? An "online class admin" more than teacher.
The guy has good intentions, but he just has a way of grading work like he's an English professor. An average A B student becomes a C student if you're not REALLY careful. Read while he's giving lectures, because those have little to NO importance for the online exams. PLEASE READ THE BOOK---- OR YOU WILL FAIL. HIS LECTURES ARE fun BUT USELESS.
If you love reading this is your class! You have to read all the chapters(13), he does skip some, but you won't pass the quizzes or the writing assignments without reading. He gives one paper only through out the course. I took this class online as a flex term class. It's pretty easy going and the professor gives plenty of time for the assignments.
Very unorganized, definitely not fit for online class, lacks communication, I received complaining emails from other classmates regarding his class. Gives very low grades for for paper. You will be luck to pass his class.
Very unorganized, definitely not fit for online class, very poor communication skills. I received complaining emails from other classmates regarding his class. Gives very low grades for for paper. You will be luck to pass his class.
Just finished Spring class, class was very organized and straight forward. He expects you to do your work to earn your grade. Did well.
I have taken btoh Govt. 2305 and Govt. 2306 with Professor Ayachi and made good grades. He is helpful and responds to emails. The class was a bit challenging but everything you need to do to pass was clear. I recommend Dr. Ayashi.
I think this teacher is fair. I am not much into government and politics but I managed to pass. He gives extra credit and quizzes slate not hard if you do the reading.
Dr. Ayashi is a good professor, nice and helpful. Class divided into units wiht clear deadlines, I had no problems getting a B.
Did online class for full semester, lots of reading. I drifted a bit on the first two discussion boards which cost me a bit and because of that I was short 25 points from making an A. I can't comment about him from a lecture point of view, but if you take govt 2305 online, getting an A is doable if you stay focused.
Best professor. All these bad ratings are from lazy students. Do your work and turn it in on time and youll be good. Tests are difficult but this is a college, its to be expected. Not an easy A class, its a class for people who want to learn about the system that controls our lives. Show effort and you will be rewarded
Not clear on homework assignments, due dates were never clear, always on edge and very disrespectful. Plays favorites and very bias. If you don't have the correct answer, don't talk. His office is difficult to find. Big ego.
I was so worried about taking him because of these reviews but when I actually took his class I ended up learning so much and actually enjoyed government. You have to be a complete idiot to not do good in his class. Everything is crystal clear, and it's up to you to get the grade you deserve. You do your job, you get your A. It's plain and simple.
His lectures are interesting but his texts are 90% textbook and on very specific information. Pay attention t dates and numbers. He will let you know if he is going to give a "pop quiz" but his tests ar fairly hard (whole class thinks so) and he thinks they are easy. He does not curve tests or give extra credit.
About to finish govt. 2305 online. As the review below stated, you can easily get a good grade in his class if you complete your assignments and keep up with the schedule. He is really good in feedback and followup emails. Take him.
He is fantastic. Gives challenging and rewarding assignments. His tests are open books. He is an excellent guy.
He is a good person and I recommend this professor. His tests are more focused on text book. You have to read well. An essay paper and a group presentation have included for the course plus four exams. He is so passionate for this subject and gives good feedback. Attendance counts. Take this class.
He is crude and uncaring.
I took GOVT 2305 & 2306 online during the summer for my government credit. No access code was required, but lots of assignments and quizzes that you need to read and study for. Fast in responding to emails when I had questions, would take again.
He's a great guy. Do the work and get an A plain and simple
DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!! Absolutely the worst class I have taken so far because of this professor and he comes out rude.
STAY AWAY!! He is very disrespectful, unorganized, definitely not fit to teach a online class because he has very poor communication skills. He also give low grades for papers and doesn't respond to email.
to be fair class a bit hard but A is very possible. nice guy
He is so rude and inconsiderate and is very unhelpful and is not nice to his students and his class is easy but he does not care if there is lower than 1 i would give
I like that he is fair and open, you fo your work and get the grade you desere. Did well in his class, actually he's good in responding yo emails.
I'd say the class assignments are very clear and the grading and deadlines are posted everywhere he's tough on deadlines but fair I personally recommend him.
Great teacher I just took govt 2306 and learned a lot you have to complete several assignments but kee track of due dates
This course had average work. There is one term paper that wasn't difficult, just make sure you keep up with the reading. The tests are were fair. Some of the questions for the assignments almost seemed a matter of opinion and not necessarily fact which was a little tricky at times. There is quite a bit of reading.
I took this professor for 2305 and 2306. His course is very organized but he is strict with deadlines, responds to emails and gives feedback
GOVT2305 with Ayachi was the easiest class ever. Exams questions are taken straight out of the (online free) textbook and the quizzes are literally just watch a video or read a passage and answer questions about it. Easiest A ever. There are two writing assignments but just don't be a dumbass and pay attention to deadlines and you'll be fine.
This is an easy summer course. The quizzes and tests are timed but the questions are simple and easy. (Most of them). The teacher is quite tough on deadlines and essay grading though. Be aware of due dates and answer each essay prompt properly and youll get that A!
His a good professor the writing assignments his expects you to do them right hard grader on that! Easy quiz and test took it online..
Just watch the due dates and you'll get that A. There are two short essays, take your time with them and you'll get a good grade.
Overall he is a good teacher if you pay attention, and actually study up for the test. I would not recommend him to somebody who does not like to take the time to study. If you do the revels seriously, and pay attention super closely to his lectures you will not pass his course.
I took his online flex term and i do not recomend his class at all. Homework was just quizzes and tests with a few discussion boards and one essay at the end. There were no notes or powerpoints or recorded lectures. And you don't get to look over the tests after you finish to see what you got wrong.
Professor Ayachi is the BOMB! All you have to do is READ, only 3 exams, 2 essays (gotta do really good on these, but very easy) and make sure to watch due dates! Easy A (REALLY!) I'd take him again for sure!
Anyone that complains about this class should not even bother pursuing a college education. his class is straightforward and VERY clear. Questions come straight from the text so you literally have no excuse not to do well in his exams/quizzes. I took his class for both GOVT classes. He isnt hard, and he isnt a blowoff professor. Just dont be lazy.
After completing the study guide and spending a good two hours studying it I only managed to get a 76 on the test. The class average was a 67, and even though the class doing so universally poorly is usually an indecation that the professor did a bad job, he blamed it on us, saying this is a college course. Do not take this professor.
He constantly brings in his own political views. Even though I agree with him it just feels pretentious. There is homework due every class, even on test days. Also even though we are halfway through the semester he still tries to use the miscalibrated smart board every single day, and it still never works
Professor Ayachi is very helpful and his lectures are interesting. Makes you think about politics. Tests require studying but he gives a study guide. I did well and recommend him.
Class has clear objectives and lectures. Most grades come from REVEL which you have enough time to do & a few quizzes. Most important are the unit tests but if you actually study you'll pass them. Clear instructions, class is not hard. Actually do the assignments and study for those tests that's all you need for a good grade. Recommend.
I took his online Class and its worthless. He doesn't give extra credit. His course is awful, Just test all day long. His discussion have poor instructions The last essay he wants you to write is insane, he wants you to analyze some bs case. Im not majoring law, assignment like this is retard. DO NOT TAKE THIS POS CLASS. Lucky if i get a C
Class quite easy just keep up with assignments . I would say an A is possible in his class.
Have taken this professor for 2305 and 2306 online and would strongly recommend him.
This class is divided in units with tests and discussions, there are revel quizzes that are easy to ace. Prof Ayachis class is pretty easy if you keep up with deadlines
I probably would recommend him if your NOT taking an online flex class. Didnt answer any of my emails and grading DB was very unclear. Reveal system is easy to use which I was able to ace my test no problem. The exams are ridiculous. I went from a A+ to a C based off 1 test. NO. Study guide and its over a total of 8 chapters 100+ pages.
I think passing this class is fairly easy, you can get good grades in quizzes and discussions. Two tests and two attempts each. Recommend.
I think he like every one to be like himself or thinking like him.
His class, tests everything are pretty straightforward. If you dont study enough you wont pass for sure. Tests are 50 multiple choice questions worth 100 points and are in class. Have to do on your own. Just involve in class and give enough time in study. You will do good.
Great teacher, assignments and deadlines are clear, responds to email. Easy class, I recommend this professor.
Not only is Kacem condescending and rude, but he also punishes his best students who participate most by shaming them in front of the class for their opinions. He thinks hes a perfect teacher and his students are the flawed ones. While i did well in his class and he was a good enough teacher, his attitude of superiority makes the class miserable.
Fair class, he pays attention to students and involve students in good discussions. Tests need some studying but A or B are highly possible.
He gives good lectures. Homework is due before every class. If you dont stay on top of homework youll drown in it.
You wont pass by just getting by, youll have to work for your grade.
He's alright, study for tests and quizzes and you'll be fine.
Just completed a course with this professor and strongly recommend him.
Be prepared for some work , his assignments are clear, two attempts per test. Easy points in Revel
Professor. Ayachi has a passion for teaching government, I liked his grading and how everything was clear. Overall good class
I don't know i he graded me harsh because of my lack of interest in Government. But i never questioned his authority or teaching style. I barely passed and for the majority had a 68 Grade average until I pulled an all nighter and got a 78 which boosted my grade then I made like a 68 on the Final and passed with a 72.39 it was so stressful
I am currently taking this professors class online and can say its a pretty easy and straightforward class. Two discussions and some unit exams and quizzes. An S is pretty doable if you stay on top of things
Prof. Ayachis class is very organized and I like his fast response to emails. Two attempts per test, you can easily find the answers, discussion and quizzes are really free points. His deadlines are clear, I did welll.
About to finish a 2305 online class, you study you win. If you follow his syllabus and instructions you will make an A.
This class is not for anyone who are not interested in Government. Revel HW and Tests are multiple choice questions, and pretty easy, you can also get the anwers on the internet. But you can only get C for final grade unless you working on the discussion board and term project. He grades those things really harsh.
Professor Ayachi is super nice. He is very serious but if you try in his class you should do fine, test are difficult if you don't study, however he does provide a study guide. Class is super engaging, the more you participate the better, as he gives points for participation.
He expects all of his students to be well-read and knowledgeable about Government before taking his course. I understand the importance of all citizens being aware of their local government, but his class is unfair to those who have to balance a job and multiple other classes. Was having to read 2 state constitutions within 2 days.
As SOON as I finished my last assignment, I ran here. PLEASE. Do yourself a favor and do NOT take this professor. His expectations were way too high. I cried over grades for the 1st time ever, I'm a 4.0 student and this was just too harsh. Questions on quizzes weren't even in the lecture! He doesn't reply emails. Horrible horrible class.
Summer I govt. class with this professor was not bad, everything was clear and to the point. He's strict with deadlines but can work with you if you let him know ahead of time
Class needs work but good grade is possible. He gives two attempts on quizzes and replied to emails and questions about class. I recommend prof Ayachi.
Very professional responds to email gives good feedback
This is not a professor I would recommend if you do not have a clear understanding of this subject. Their is no daily syllabus, all the quizzes/tests are all due on the same day so pace yourself; time management is very important. There is no interaction with the professor at all unless you personally reach out. Quizzes rarely pertain to book.
The entire hour and 15 min he usually ends up giving us lectures. He tries to make his class interactive by putting in debates and stuff which just makes it harder on the students. All the graded work is done online so I dont see the point in attending class, other than the fact that attendance matters.
I took Govt. 2305 and 2306 with this professor and I simply recommend him. His syllabus and expectations are clearly set and no surprises at all.
Class pretty interactive, he asks that we do online activities which is pretty easy, not difficult to get an A once you keep up with assignments due dates.
I took prof Ayachis class thii ou s fall , there is assignments on mindtap, discussion and exams. I fell behind and he worked with me to catch up on assignments. He is nice but strict with deadlines, recommend him.
Prof. Ayachi is very helpful and takes his job seriously. When you do your work you will end up with the grade you deserve no more no less.
Easy A if you do the work.
Just completed an online 2305 class, syllabus is very clear, half the grade is based on online activities, very easy assignments. I recommend this professor.
I usually do not give reviews but I can say that this class was a breeze. His syllabus was pretty clear and the assignments due dates worked so well with my schedule.
After the class completely shifted to online due to the coronavirus, there was little instruction about the contents, which I found it not really supportive in comparison with other courses. If you left behind at the beginning of a semester or bombed the first test, you need to work so hard if you want to keep a good grade.
Very nice professor, course is well laied out. He answers emails and gives you a chance if you miss the test due date. Worth the try.
Sadly none of the tags described him/ or this class. Very chill class, you have to write some papers, and do a term project but they are easy and doesn't require a bunch of knowledge. All of his grades come from a program that $80 but you're able to pass without reading :) -his exams are on lockdown browser so have a 2nd device.
Prof Ayachi is great, I seriously recommend him.
10/10 would recommend, class was a breeze for me trust what people are saying in his reviews. JUST DO THE WORK WHEN ASSIGNED and you shouldn't have any issues. The class consisted of 3 discussion post, 3 test, alot of MindTap assignments, 1 syllabus quiz and a course feedback extra credit.
Every week was the same thing: a chapter from MindTap. Chapters were really lengthy, took me about 2 hours for each one, sometimes even longer than that. Everything is straight forward, sometimes there was a discussion board but pretty easy overall. Never really communicated with the professor but seems nice. Offers extra credit at end of semester
He is awful. Does not get back to your emails. Does not care to help. If you ask him a question he goes around bushes and does not even help you. Does not give straight answer. Dont take this class again.
Just finished Online Govt. 2305. This class is a breeze. You do the work you get the grade. No magic no gimmicks. Few tests and discussions, MindTap assignments pretty easy. Absolutely recommend.
Easy and straightforward class, sends reminders about assignments and responds to questions timely.
Gives you 2 weeks to finish the assignments before the exam. Pretty straight forward class. 3 chapters per exam.
Not a bad professor just his ecampus is very confusing and his grades too. We write everyday take 4 tests throughout the semester and like 10-20 online quizzez
Good professor
Just completed a 2305 class with this professor, his class is well organized and pretty straightforward. You do your work you pass. Recommend him.
Great teacher and very helpful. Class is based on modules which gives you plenty of time to complete the assignments. I am not fan of government and politics but I passed with no issues. Strongly recommend this prof.
Online govt 2305 and online 2306 with this professor, both were pretty cool and straightforward, no surprises and easy to handle assignments. I recommend this professor.
He was a very tough grader but I still got an A. If you have a legit reason then he will give you an extension otherwise nope d nope. About 4 tests, 4 discussions, uses mindtap for online reading and assignments. Gives powerpoints on chapters for easy review to do tests. Contact through blackboard because he won't reply through Gmail.
I really liked how this professors class, very organised easy to handle if you stay on top of your college work. Recommend him
Please Don't take a class with this teacher unless you want to leave class angry everyday. He makes absolutely no sense, so if you don't already know a lot about government, you'll be very confused the whole time. He changes things without informing the class, and then blames us for not having it done. Awful teacher.
EZPZ. I took his 5 week online class, there was 3 discussion boards, 4 tests, and mindtap activities. Worst part is that you can't go at your own pace so he opens the exams and you only have 24 hours to do it. It is usually not bad unless you have back to back shifts on that day.
Avoid this teacher unless your already a govt. wiz!! Any time I asked a question he always gave this long spiel and never answered my question, even if it was a simple yes or no question. He asked us to discuss things/give our input in class, and then would interrupt us or blame us for taking too much time. Save the trouble, pick another teacher
I just completed a Govt. class with this professor, he is very knowledgeable, patient and extremely helpful. I did fine in his class with average studying.
Great teacher, strongly recommend.
I am no fan of politics, but I made it through. Uses Mindtap, discussions, and few tests. Very manageable course.
Most of the ratings were biased. Now, I am going to give an honest opinion. Professor Kacem was OK because he confused students with endless information in his presentation. Good professors do not provide redundant speeches or not being boring. But in this professor was the opposite. I recommend not choosing him as a GOVT 2305 professor.
His class is straightforward, no surprises if you stick with the syllabus and do your work. I did better than I expected..
Prof Ayachi is knowledgeable and worked with me even when I missed assignments due dates. Very responsive professor, grades assignments pretty quick.
Class was a breeze, you're in control. Would take again.
I took Govt. 2305 and Govt. 2306 online with this professor and liked his course organization. The syllabus was pretty much clear with four units that include online assignments. Respnds to email pretty quick and works with ifyou miss an assignment or test.
Pretty straightforward class, he's ready to work with you if you let him know immediately. Easy class overall.
Took Texas Government online this spring, tests, online activities and discussions are very very manageable. No surprises, a little work and meeting the due dates will get you an A. I strongly recommend this professor.
Only had 5 due dates, a few very easy online assignments and 1 discussion board+reply due every two weeks. No final, very easy, extra credit given, is very clear, 4 tests open book.
Professor Ayachi's class was average-it got the job done. This was an 8-week course too. There are 4 units with 1 exam and DB per unit plus textbook activities. Not too difficult, but you can't bs it. His DB instructions were a bit contradictory, but as long as you put in effort, you should be fine. He replies to emails within a couple days-not bad
took this maymester 4 open book tests 3 discussion boards (if u just answer the questions meaningfully ur good) tb assignments (online 2-3 attempts per assignment) overall really easy
While his class and homework are easy, his exams are what threw me off the most. Received a low grade on the first test because it had essay questions and its automated grading so he's not grading them. You also cannot view what you got wrong. He's extremely strict on due dates, no exceptions. He provides little to no feedback on assignments.
Professor Ayachi emailed me about the glitch in Test 1 and offered a retake. I think his flex class is pretty doable with set due dates and no confusion. He is very responsive and works with you if you let him know ahead of time.
This class was fine. Government is tricky for me, but I stayed on top of the work and got through it. The professor was pretty chill.
Professor Ayachi is pretty harsh on grading discussion boards and the group project. However, the tests are relatively simple and the course is well-organized. Overall, the group project is what affected my grade. But if you stay consistent and on top of everything, you should be fine. Wouldn't take again personally.
I had Govt. 2305 and 2306 with this professor.
Very helpful professor and clear course organizations. I did not face any surprises, responds emails.
I just cruised through Govt. 2306; class was a breeze, he responds to emails.
I am no fan of government classes, but the experience i had in this class was pretty good: you do few discussions, online tests with google your friend, and a cengage collection of easy activities with multiple attempts.
Very well organized course, few easy things to do, just keep up with the syllabus and you will get your A.. I did well.
Dr. A is a good professor and gives me good feedback. I do enjoy his online class so far!!! make sure to take notes on mindtap and use notes on the exam!! :))
One of the most organized classes and responsive professor. No surprises at all.
Professor Ayachi's class is pretty straightforward - stay on top of the assignments and you'll do well. I found unstuck AI really helpful for prepping along with the textbook. Overall, a solid online gov course.
Had a hard time
4 tests with plenty of online resources. Very easy Mindtap activities and three discussions. If you don't pass his class you should blame none but yourself :)
I recommend.
This class was easy and easy enough to manage throughout the semester. The material and assignments were straightforward, and I didn't need to reach out to the professor at any time.
