AMAZING Professor! She's really fun and energetic about Spanish. Class was never boring, she makes it really easy to understand the language.

She is by far one of the nicest teachers ever. She is young and very knowledgeable. you can relate to her as a person as well as a student and she provides every opportunity to get an A in the class. Very easy quizzes... test a bit hard because the dept makes them but she does awesome reviews and extra credit and is muy fabuloso!!!!!!!!

She is one of my favorite professors. Even though class is an hour and twenty minutes long, she makes it fly by. She is extremely helpful and really cares about all of her students. I wish I could get into her class for 1121.

Had her for spn1120 and she was great. I wish I was able to take 1121 with her. She makes class very fun and interesting. Quizzes were easy, tests are department made so not up to her, but she did everything she could to help and teach. I recommend taking her if you can! If you can't take her, take Mrs. Barbosa, she is also great!

Professor Tartt is great! Totally hot and funny. The online homework is terrible, but she'll teach you what you need to know in class. She makes going to class something to look forward too, even if you hate Spanish. If you want a laid back class, hers is the one to take.

I enjoyed her class and I loved her personality. I enjoyed the culture that she tried to add to the class, despite the foreign language committee's attempt to force a set curriculum on the professors (basically requiring all grammar).I was very impressed by her knowledge of the subject which motivated me as well(since she's not a native speaker).

I took Senora Tartt for SPN 2200 and she was great. Very nice (and adorable as others mentioned) and really approachable. I really recommend her to anyone who was required to take Spanish for their major (like myself) or if you truly want to learn the language.

Amazing teacher. She makes everything so stress free for you. Aside from mandatory attendance there is not one complaint. She will help you to no end. Plus she realizes speaking spanish is not your life goal. Super funny. Learned a lot. Way better than Prof Barbosa for spanish1.

By far my favorite teacher at UCF. All assignments are online and you have 2 little speeches you have to give in class. Easy grader. She makes spanish fun!

Kacie Tartt is awesome! Her class is fun and not hard. All the work is online with the exception of some class work and oral presentations. She funny, sweet, and kind (and not to mention totally hot!).

I took spanish 1 and 2 in highschool just for the credit and never cared much for it. Then i took her class and loved it. You watch movies, listen to music, and have oral assignments. She really makes it all stick!

Awesome teacher! I learned so much in her class. one of the best classes ive taken at UCF. I would recommend taking this specific class with her if you really want to learn the language!

I HIGHLY recommend taking Prof. Tartt. As someone who was not excited to be taking Spanish, she does an amazing job of being engaging and teaching in a way that makes the subject easy to grasp. Not a native Spanish speaker, she gets where students are coming from and has wonderful enthusiasm for her subject.

Very good teacher who's always willing to help you out, even during her office hours. She understands that it might be hard for you than for other's but she makes things really simple and takes her time. I definitely give this professor a good grade for this class

Tartt is good because she's non-native so she understands what it's like to learn Spanish as a non-native speaker. But she is tougher than some of the other Spanish professors and she can be sarcastic and disrespectful at times. Overall, though, I'd recommend her.

She understands that we are not going to be fluent by the end of the class. She is young and fun. She is also American so she doesn't speak fast and she makes sure that we understand the material before we move on. I like her a lot. Super nice. Quizzes, homework and tests online.

Sra. Tartt is a very funny and enjoyable teachers. I didn't learn as much from her as I anticipated just due to the wide variety of levels in the class. There is weekly homework out of the book and weekly test or compositions. She grades pretty fairly, but the quizzes can be a bit hard. I lost most interest by the end of the class.

She's a pretty good professor. As a non-native speaker myself, I appreciated that she speaks slower and more clearly than most native speakers. Can be disorganized, and expects you to correct most of your own work. Gives lots of book work. Tests and quizzes not bad if you study. Nice, funny, and understanding.

Mandatory attendance and MySpanishLab is 80% of this class. She is very helpful and is pretty hot.

She's super helpful. Honestly, she strengthened my decision to continue my Spanish minor. I wish she could've given some more instruction on the Spanish final paper, but it's all good. Go to class and do all or most of the work. Easy A.

Took the online version of the class - she was super helpful and always available through IM. As long as you do the work (there is a lot)I don't see how you could fail.

She is seriously one of the nicest people on the planet! The class is so easy and straight forward, but there is A LOT of time consuming work online. Other then that I would recommend this class to anyone. Prof. Tartt is super helpful and funny. She is also the most organized foreign language prof. I have ever had. Take her! She is great!

I just took her online and yes there is a lot of daily work but it's reasonable and she's very accessible and a nice teacher. Sorry she isn't available for me to take her for the Spanish 2.

Prof Tartt is one of the best profs I've had at UCF. Helpful, understanding, young, energetic and fun. Highly recommend taking her. You have to go to class, but you do a lot of on-the-fly presentations and group work that make the time go quick. TAKE HER. and she's the hottest prof i've had at UCF by far as well

Professor Tartt is very kind with her students. She always has the student's best interest and she provides a lot of feedback on assignments. This is all done to help the student succeed in her classes and in the Spanish language. She also makes classes very interesting. I always look forward to this class.

Its an online class so there's work due twice a week but stay on top of it and there's no way you can fail. She's super helpful and really sweet. Always responds right away. Thankful to have gotten through the waitlist and into her Spanish 2 course. Take her!

Professora Tartt is absolutely amazing! She is one of the most helpful and understanding teachers I have ever had. She genuinely wants her students to learn. Spanish is not her first language so she understands our struggle with pronunciation. If I wasn't done with my foreign language requirement, I would 100% take her again.

Took her for Spanish 1 as well. I was super nervous at first about it being an online class but a little discipline and you've got yourself an easy A. She's quick to reply to messages and keeps you informed. Always willing to help and she's super approachable.

Great teacher. I was scared to take Spanish online but it was very easy. I finished with an 97% and I failed Spanish in high school. You have 5 exams every Sunday one webcam speaking portion and a listeningwritingreading part. Homework is due Sunday and Weds. Writing assignments or webcam assignments are due Saturdays. Do your work on time.

I said text book is a necessity but what you really need is the code and the text book is provided digitally. Would definitely take again and wish I was taking her for my second and last semester of Spanish.

I loved Pro. Tartt! DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS IF YOU HAVE A HEAVY COURSELOAD! 30+ assignments due every W/Sa, and a test every 2 weeks. There are partner chats as well, but only 2 and you can use the same partner. I learned a lot! Very informative, and a wonderful teacher. Make sure to buy the access code!

Prof. Tartt is great. She replies to emails fast. She helps her students throughout the (online) course, as she wants her students to actually learn. Caution, there are tons of online assignments due 2x a week and a test every other Sat. I would not take this class if you have a heavy workload. Not easy for beginners as the course is fast paced.

Tartt is a really nice professor. Grading very easy, but some of the instructions on things are hard to understand. I took this as a summer class so it was extremely fast paced with almost no direction. You HAVE to teach yourself. I highly recommend taking it over a normal length semester, and then I think it would be an easy A.

Mrs. Tartt is one of my favorite profs I've ever had! I'm not majoring or minoring in spanish so I won't be taking any more spanish courses, but if I was I would take as many with her! She's sweet, funny, and really understanding!

She sends really sweet emails & sounds like a nice person. She takes a long time grading (2plus weeks on average), quizzes are hard (quiz averages are 70%), homework is long and boring but totally doable, and you have to do a livechat with a classmate once a month. Make sure you do it well in advance because the website never works overall take her

Took Sra. Tartt for Spanish 1& 2 online and I must say she is amazing! She cares about her students so much and wants you to succeed. Quizzes are only worth 20% of your grade, so if you keep up with the homework (Warning there is alot) you should be fine in the class. She is a little slow at grading things but is quick to respond to questions!

Tartt cares about every one of her students and goes out of her way to ensure they are comfortable in the class. She responds to emails in a quick fashion and her course objectives and assignments are cut and dry so there are no surprises. The course assignments are mostly chosen by the department but she is always there to help a student in need.

I took her for online introductory Spanish, and I really enjoyed it! We used the online MySpanishLab, which could definitely use some improvements, but that's not her fault. There is a LOT of homework due on there (3 days a week usually) but it's not impossible. But she's so nice and really communicative, which is helpful for online classes.

She's amazing! Caring, understanding,and a great professor. I would recommend her to anyone! I have taken two classes with her, and have enjoyed it every time. Clear understanding of expectations, assignments, and quick grader.

If you don't know Spanish, learn a little before taking this class. This was the hardest class I've taken at UCF. The professor is very caring and lenient, the material is a lot though. Homework consumes your life. This is the first B i've gotten in college.

Professor Tartt is fantastic! Any SPN class is difficult and a good professor makes all the difference. There is a ton of homework, quizzes and material to cover regardless of the professor. Sra Tartt really cares about her students, quickly returns emails, and is very sweet. Would highly recommend for any SPN class!

Sra. Tartt was really understanding of us students. She empathized with us about VHL (the online part everyone has to take, doesn't matter who your professor is) and how much it sucks. She tried her hardest to make us love the class because she knew we all hated VHL. She was funny, relatable, and had some extra credit opportunities

Tartt is amazing!! This was the first semester SPN used a free program, so as we were learning she was as well. Not that much assignments needed to be done. Fairly easy class, and easy A, and Tartt is very caring and understanding.

Great professor! She uses the UCF RealizeIT program so we didnt need to buy a textbook. Modules due bi-weekly. 5 units. 5 tests. 2 conversations online with another classmate, and 5 writing assignments. Very understanding that this is beginners spanish. Sra. Tartt is a great option for Spanish online at UCF. Manageable amount of work and moderate difficultly. She is super helpful and always responds to emails very quickly. Would definitely recommend.

I chose to take Sra Tartt based off of the reviews I read on here vs other Spanish professors at UCF. She really is the best Spanish teacher I have ever had & the class goes by so fast and there's no text book required. Only annoying thing is that tests are only available on weekends but I 100% recommend her if you are required to take this!

Sra. Tartt was an amazing partner when learning Spanish; very quick to reply to emails and questions with a thorough explanation. She really does care about her online students, even more than professors I've had in-person do. Her class requires no textbook, just a good wifi connection and maybe 3 hours a week to complete the homework.

Different types of assignments, video chats, discussion with video, quizzes are the tests. I know Spanish and the free textbook service was quite hard to follow, was a hard class and I know Spanish. Professor gives partial credit for things you get wrong, she cares for her students and responds very fast.

If you don't get an A in this class, there's something wrong with you. Most Spanish teachers follow the horrendously awful model that UCF has where you read a dull as hell textbook that goes way too fast, but profesora Tartt actually tries to make it interesting and is extremely helpful. She makes helpful videos and responds quickly to emails.

TAKE HER IF YOU NEED A LANGUAGE CREDIT! She is so sweet and caring about her students, replies within 24 hours and takes her time to actually make lessons easier by teaching us even though I took her class online. 10/10 would recommend but there was a decent amount of work due every week which is expected with online classes

Tartt makes Spanish as easy as it could be. Although the content may be tricky she is more than willing to help in any way she can. Quizzes are lower stakes than in most classes proving that she cares about your work ethic more. Shes an extremely caring professor who is not afraid to show that to her students. She wants you to enjoy her class.

Señora Tartt is one of the absolute nicest teachers Ive ever had in college. I took her for SPN1121 during Summer and I was pretty nervous because I havent taken Spanish 1120 for years. She is so helpful, and she throughly explains things to you because she wants you to understand. Shes really there as an ally for her students, shes the best!!

I have not taken Spanish for a good 5 or so years, and it ended up being really easy even being level 2! The professor really cares about her students, and it's easy to maintain a good grade in the class. The modules and lessons were super straightforward. She also gives good feedback, and allows you to fix mistakes and resubmit some assignments.

Professor Tartt was my Spanish savior! I don't think I'd have passed if I had to take my last professor from the prior semester. Very easy going, takes the time to answer questions or explain her feedback, and also uplifts you so that you don't feel disappointed with yourself. No textbook, uses RealizeIt platform, decent amount of homework.

Señora Tartt honestly has to be one of the best profs I've had at UCF. She is caring, passionate, and truly wants you to understand the language. She is very open to any questions & encourages you to ask, and she usually responds to your emails usually within an hour. I can't speak highly enough about her. If you need Spanish, take her!!!!

Professor Tartt was awesome! Take her, you will not regret it. Even though this was online, she was always available and had weekly updates. Homework is consistant with easy to follow directions. Her quizzes are monitored but they are not heavily weighted. One of my favorite professors at UCF!

Professor Tartt is an amazing teacher! Book isn't required for this course which is great. She makes really good and short lecture videos to help complement the material. I highly recommend taking her!

THE MOST AMAZING PROFESSOR! taking a language can be overwhelming especially in 6 weeks. professor tartt made it doable. she offered extra credit, amazing feedback and support. participate! she gives credit where due. she is always responsive. no textbook either! i wish i could take her for spanish 2! do not pass up on this professor!!!

Professor Tartt is easily the best spanish teacher I've had. I am taking her for the second time this year, and her videos and lessons are very easy to follow. She doesn't demand much from you, and the layout of the course is easy to follow and plan your time around. She really cares and sends out so many resources. Always has feedback.

Although this was an online class It was very engaging due to the videos posted by the professor of her or her colleague and the video discussion posts. The culture lessons are really interesting and the personalized adaptive learning homework was very helpful. She gives great feedback and my Spanish has come a long way. Definitely take Sra. Tartt!

She is a great teacher and she is very passionate about teaching and helping her students understand! I had an issue where I missed an assignment and she gladly did the assignment with me for no points off as late. (it was a speaking 1 on 1 with another classmate) She is a wonderful teacher and instructor!

Amazing professor! Super caring and wants you to learn. This is an elementary level language class, so she does not expect you to be fluent in the assignment. Just try your best. There is quite a few assignments due every week but not too bad. Maybe 2-3 each week. She also offers a lot of extra credit if needed. Definitely would recommend.

Professor Tartt was one of the best professors I have ever had. She is super caring and understanding. The class consists of many fun and easy assignments. They are not learning boring assignments that only focus on learning the language. Many are about you, your interests, etc. Professor Tartt made learning a new language fun!

This class was only slightly difficult because I have trouble grasping spanish. The professor herself is very organized, helpful, and understanding. She clearly cares a lot about teaching and the subject itself. The classwork is very manageable and the quizzes are fine as long as you study.

An amazing instructor who truly cares about her course and her students. I haven't felt as poured into than in this course. Professor Tartt provided a captivating class and was interested in creating meaningful educational relationships with each of her students. Her assignments engaged the student's creativity and allowed for personal expression.

I took Professor Tartt for two SPN courses and she's one of the sweetest professors I've ever had. I've never had a professor who answers as quickly as she does. Very understanding if something comes up, and gives great feedback. Do your assignments and you'll get an A. My final grade was a 98%. Love her!!

I didn't get to do the SPI so I'm rating her here. Great teacher, just cares about you learning more than anything else. Two assignments a week which are easy and fun. Absolutely loved her.

I love Professor Tartt's class! This is my second time taking her and her classes are so fun. You get to learn spanish while also doing fun assignments. There's a storytelling project at the end of the semester that's quite fun to make. Take her!!!
