Dr. Eder was a good professor. He sometimes gets off track but you can ask questions if you're confused. Tests are really hard, but all lab teachers give the same exams (30 stations with 3-4 questions each and no multiple choice. All recollection). He gives extra credit and tries to make everything fun. He gives a lot of quizzes to reread notes.

Dr. Eder normally teaches the Bio 26 lab, however this summer he taught both lab and lecture. Honestly, the subjects aren't that hard but he somehow managed to make it difficult. Often he got off track and never really got back so lots of unfinished thoughts lead to confusion. Often what he said would not be on the test was. Difficult professor.

Try to read the chapters in advance so you can have an idea about what he's going to talk about in class and so he can help you with the topics that you want clarified. Eder is funny and helpful when you ask questions. BUT you don't really need to go the lecture bc he just reads of the powerpoint slides and adds a little bit. You must read the textbook and do the homework and practice tests on Mastering A&P if you want an A and PASS. If you love learning about the human body, you'll love the class :)

Professor Eder was great! Anatomy and Physiology can be daunting in workload but man does he make it relatable and fun. I had him for Bio 25 in Fall 2015 and just had to select him for Bio 26 for Spring 2016 (even if it meant waking up earlier). He gives out pre-class assignments that is due before class. Study and read the book before coming to class to understand the material. The exams are hard. You cannot memorize to pass this class. You actually have to understand the concepts of the functions. If not, you will not pass. Attendance is extra credit so come to class!

Bio 26 is a hard class especially being at 7:30 in the morning, but Eder was always there getting everyone to pay attention. He offers extra credit opportunities throughout the whole semester just for being in class and tries his hardest to make the material understandable. But study hard hard hard!

Therefore, expect to study for memorization, read for further comprehension even when you think you know it all, and put in the effort to take the class seriously and aim high. Professor Eder has study guides that outline exactly what you need to study for the 4 exams. You don't need the book at all. The memorization is tough, but he helps by giving extra credit opportunities. To all the fellow nursing students, I cannot recommend this professor enough. Easy A if you keep up with the work and study! Just take him!!

I like this Professor he is pretty funny guy, and has a German accent bc he is from Germany, but anyway, its a hard class obvi, and he doesnt make it any harder, instead he tries to make it easier but leaving some material out which i liked about him, also dont buy the books, i bearly use the books i bought and was a waste of money. Eder is one of the sweetest professors at sac state! 4 exams for lecture, Lab has 4 exams, 8 quizzes but drops lowest 2. Eder tries his best to simplify everything. Sometimes he overcomplicates the physiological processes in class so I always taught myself at home. Concepts are not too hard but there is a lot to learn in a short amount of time.

Professor Eder takes time to review previous chapters etc. I am now passing the class with almost an A. I highly recommend taking him if you don't do well with science. If you are a Nursing student take Professor Eder. He is clear about what is on exams and makes sure his students are on track in class. the class overall is 4 exams in both lecture and lab, in lab you get quizzes which are fairly easy if you study. in lecture there's Tophat, and lab you get extra credit for attendance. This class is a TON of work (Lec+Lab) but you just gotta take it week by week. Exams aren't exactly tricky but there is a lot of material that you need to know to do well. He makes lectures really interesting and there is even a 5 minute break halfway through.

Go on and take his class! Bio is going to be hard no matter what but he makes it understandable. He truly loves what he teaches and wants his students to succeed. He's very flexible if you reach out to him. Very kind and honest, he also has a couple of inspirational stories to get you through the semester if you start feeling mentally drained.

I took Professor for Bio-25 last semester during spring. I really enjoyed his class. Lectures were obviously important to attend & you even get extra credit for answering top hat questions! Powerpoints are good and he is the best professor to ask questions to. You have to be into the content in order to pass. His exams are difficult and really make you think so make sure to go to OH for clarification on content. Pretty chill, he loves to talk. He interacts with us by telling jokes, conversing with us like he's known us for years, and lets us play Kahoots. Those who are on the top 3 podium get extra credit. Only downside to the excessive talking is that it may get a bit boring, but at least he cares about his work and students.

He is amazing! I had him for 25 and again for 26 because I love his teaching. So many extra credit opportunities and study guide is pretty similar to his exams (which he curves). His lab is also great as we often work together for answers and sometimes lets us leave early. Attendance is not mandatory but he incorporates EC questions in his slides.

Kai Eder is such a funny professor, whenever he tries explaining concepts in easier terms for us it can get use a bit confuse sometimes in a humorous way (like the sweaty shirt if ykyk). You can tell that he is genuine about his teaching for sure. Final is really straightforward and simple, it's an organ debate.
