As long as you study for the tests, it's an easy A. The first test was the study guide, word for word.
She's a very good teacher. She's nice, funny, and is very intellegent. Her tests are based on the packets she gives. The project is really easy. It's a fun class, she has a positive attitude and helps you with a problem you might be having. She makes you feel comfortable and doesn't get mad if you come late. I recommend her as a teacher she's GREAT
Ms. Annie is a really nice and good teacher. She makes the class as easy as it can gets for the students. She seems very interested on her students' life stories. And she tells her interesting life stories too. I like how she tells stories because she can really be into them. I recommend her to everyone taking a psychology class.
Annie is a wonderful professor! She definitely knows her stuff. She is extremely helpful. I had a few issues and she was more than willing to accomodate me. Her homework assignments are easy. However, her exams are tough. You really need to study for your exams. In sum, the class is relatively easy.
Ok. The class is easy, thats no question however I dont think the words value free teaching were in here vocabulary... She is caught up on alot of her own beliefs and values and denounces others, blindly following her own preconcieved notions which are expressed in her words. She appears nice, but in actuallity she is just acting. Hates men.
EASY A*S TEACHER! final was a take home exam...........what more can I say..LOL can't get any easier than that. Very nice teacher and highly recommended to anyone who wants to learn and whoever doesn't! you will see for yourself. Take her~~ :D
yeah she is easy, but if you want to learn anything AT ALL dont take this teacher, she will put on a movie and say "this covers ch10-16" she is a joke, nosey wants to know everyones personal lives, not recomended..
shes cool i guess. if you are looking for a quick A this is definetly not it. you HAVE to read. her notes cover nothing the test is on like i said you must read.
i think she is an awesome teacher. really funny, and nice. i dont think she has favorites, she talks to everyone, and cares about everyone too. she made psychology really interesting, her test are okay, just study. no hw. highly recommended.
She's very compassionate in her work. She also practices clinically. Very knowledg- able. Listens to anyone who talks. No favorites. Fun class. I learned alot of "life". Highly recommend her. Take home final. Easy A for the class!
This teacher was an amazing teacher dont listen to some of those other people commenting. She was pretty difficult but if your doing bad she will go out of her way to help you and gives you a bunch of extra credit opportunities. She is fun and if you are able to real a lot like the class requires you should learn quite a bit and get an A
Annie is great. I took psych 5 with her and clearly it's an easy A. She teached clearly and very helpful for the students. Her HW were very easy just read and copy it straight from the book. I thought psych would be boring but with her it wasnt at all. We also watched lots of movie whenever we had extra time in her class. Annie = Awesome. Take her!
Cool teacher!
Not helpful at all. U have to study your own! U do nothing in class except watch some videos, guest speakers,or group activities. She don't lecture so to me i think it's useless to go to class. Test is hard cuz u have to read everything uself.
She is a very nice professor who wants to see everyone succeed. She is lenient toward people but will tell you about yourself as well. I got an A in Psyc 14 and am taking her for Psyc 1A. Read your book, tests are fair.does group work too. Also extra credit given.
Course was frustrating. Rarely lectured, so you must rely on studying from the textbook. Provided study guides, though some questions from the exam weren't mentioned in the study guide. Lecture time was wasted with opinionated group discussions and watching videos. Toward end of semester, randomly gave pop quizzes, placing stress on finals period.
Annie is an excellent teacher. I could tell she's passionate about teaching and helping her students succeed. She does not bore you with lectures every class period. She expects you to read your textbook at home and participate in group activities in class. She shows videos to help clarify concepts in the textbooks. I highly recommend her!
I had a great time in her class. She makes psychology fun. Awesome teacher. Really cares about her students.
Annie was a Great professor! She really cares about her students success in the class and in life. Her lectures are interesting and you dont always have to read before class but it does help alot. Plus if you read then you can participate in class then she will like you... and i think thats what got me an A instead of a B!
If you need a friend to tell you stories about her life and kids take this class. If you want a college professor who actually teaches, avoid her like the plague. She never lectures! You break up into "groups" to discuss topics. If learning is important to you buy and read the book. I dreaded class.
She doesn't really teach, more like talks about her life and encourages students to talk about theirs...you have to read the textbook in order to do well on the tests. But before each test, she gives a quiz of like 15 questions which are STRAIGHT from the test. This class is an easy A.
Professor Joneja is all about experience and how you can apply psychology in your daily life. For the lectures, you have to read by yourself cause she shows videos in the classroom and further discusses it.However, like I said, read and understand your won material.Participate in class all the time so you'll get your A. Take this class seriously too!
She doesn't teach. All you do is discussions. But she's an easy A. I got an A in her class.
I really liked her. She doesn't lecture much on the text book, but she does give out study guides, which are really helpful. She gives several extra credit oppertunities. Not too difficult of a class, but it's most helpful if you attend the classes and read your textbook.
She was suppperrrrrrr easy!Like i had to put in minimal effort, barely study, barely read, and I still got an A. Two take home test/final. She was helpful and wanted class participation. Some group discussions but it was really fun and comfortable.
awsome professor. i loved her class. i learned so much from her lectures because she applies real life into psychology. her class is amazing. just do a little studying before the exams and you'll get an A. =)
Easiest class at Mt. Sac. The only test you have to study for is the 1st one. She gave us a study guide for the second one and the test ended up being all the same questions. The final is take home! Very little Hw. Discussions only hit on the major topics in the book but she relates everything to your life in order to help you understand. TAKE HER!
This class IS EASY BUT!! I DIDN'T GET AN "A" BECAUSE OF ONE TIME I LEFT THE CLASS TO STUDY FOR MY OTHER CLASS AND THEY HAD A TAKE HOME PRACTICE TEST WHICH WAS THE EXACT QUESTIONS ON THE FINAL. I was so pissed off.
Super easy. Tests are exactly like the study guides she gives, and most of the answers to the study guides can be found online. Makes you write 1 or 2 papers but grades them easily. The final was a take home final. Easiest professor I've had at Mtsac.
WONDERFUL teacher!!!!!!!!!!
She is really helpful, makes class interesting and fun. I would take her again for a another psych class.
This is the 2nd time I have taken her for a class. I really enjoy her classes! As long as you do your work in the class you will be fine! She is very understanding and does her best to make sure everyone is satisfied in her class.
Easiest A ever. You don't even need to attend class, but people did because it was interesting. She's very understanding and cares about students absorbing info instead of just memorizing text based stuff.
She is the BEST Teacher at Mt.sac!!!!! She truly cares about all her students, she gives take home tests and basically hands you everything you need for an easy A. The best part about her though is she relates her studies to your life so it's comparable and makes you want to learn! Love her, Take her!!!!!
She uses multiple choice. Sometimes take home quizes.
Pretty easy and multiple choice! Shes very nice and made the class fun and interesting!
Mrs. Joneja was a very fun and interesting professor. Her lectures are very interesting. We had 4 tests and 3 were take home. She gives you a lot of extra credit opportunity. Overall fun class and very very easy A.
She is awesome! I took her spring 2012, and got lucky to get her for another class for fall. She is clear, connects with students, tests are short and easssssyyyyy! she gives study guides or will verbally say what 2 study.she also reminds us of evrything via email so check your portal weekly!..I HIGHLY RECCOMEND HER! Oh,and hardly any hw, just read
Apparently, she is different every semester... I read the reviews on here saying that there are take home quizzes..NOPE.. there are NONE. And her tests? THEY ARE NOT EASY!!!!! Wells, if you read that book... maybe it is.. but in my definition... EASY=NOT READING AND just paying attention in class.. -_- Anyways. you HAVE to read in this class
This professor is fantastic! She makes almost every class fun and entertaining, and she is so sweet and helpful! Absolutely loved her and the class! As far as the tests/hw, not super easy, but definitely not too hard :)
She is not easy at all!!!she is hard on grading and expect a lot from students. She does not explain the project well before and give everyone a shocking grade when she returns, and then she explains what she wants from the project. You have to read textbook a lot to get good grades.
this class was fairly easy all you have to do is read the book, there are 4 tests i believe, one take home and then the final.. which arent hard if you read.. class isnt mandatory and quizzes are easy.. easy A .. very nice professor
This class is not hard, it covers the same material as every other psych 1 class. All you have to do is get the book, and go through all of the key words and memorize the definitions. Also, go through all the sample questions in the book because most of them will be on the test. She's a nice lady if you don't bother her or be rude.
Great Professor! Extremely down to earth. Easy A so long you read the chapter word for word and do the sample questions. She offers up to 20 points easy extra credit. Very understanding and engaging. Pay close attention to the beginning of the semester when she explains how the project will work.
Lectures on ppt, can be boring at times but prof is very cool. 4 mc midterms (one take home), a 2 part project, final (noncumulative). Can feel a bit slow sometimes but really wants you to absorb the material. Great professor, pay attention in class, read the book, put in the work, study for the exams, and it will be an easy A(:
Annie is absolutely awesome, be involved and participate often. Through the text book each chapter has lots of key words memorize all of them with flash cards, there is a quiz before each exam, she is awesome after the quiz, she gives it back to you and all 10 of the same questions are on the exam.
Very sweet lady. I do not feel she was an easy A. The worst thing I'd say about her class is that she doesn't finish lecturing on chapters prior to giving tests. When the test day comes, you have to listen to the rest of the lecture before the exam. There is 1 take home exam(EXAM 4). Her Lectures are quite boring. But she cares for your success.
I was really interested in taking this class... She totally turned me off to the subject. Lectures are straight from the power point and very boring. Also, on the big project you have to do, she says you dont have to spend much money to get a good grade, but i would advise to start saving at the beginning of the semester or you wont get full points
Joneja is a very sweet lady, and she tries to incorperate her personal life in the lessons to keep our attention because honestly powerpoint slides are not the most interesting things ever. She loves to get feedback from the students as she teaches and loves it when we participates. I would definately take another class with her.
Awesome professor. I would recommend her! She's intriguing and passionate about psychology. She offers extra credit, which is a plus. She lectures throughout the class but her lectures are very interesting. If you don't take her, you're missing out!
I took Professor Joneja for both, Psychology 1A and 26. Great Professor and extremely knowledgeable. Help is available 110 percent and she truly cares about her students. There are outstanding professors at Mount SAC and in my opinion, Professor Joneja happens to be one of the greatest. Truly gifted.
LOVE HER! EASY CLASS, ENTERTAINING, EASY TO UNDERSTAND EASY A!
I took Professor Joneja for both, Psychology 1A and 26. Extremely knowledgeable. Help is available and she truly cares about her students. There are outstanding professors at Mount SAC and in my opinion, Professor Joneja happens to be one of the greatest. Truly gifted.
This woman is awesome. She gets personal and makes her class very interactive. She makes lectures feel comfortable enough that students always participate. She's extremely nice, and understanding. I took her for the summer, and passed with flying colors :D
This class absolutely changed my life and my perspective of the world. Highly recommend. She is so inspiring! Not only will you learn psychology material but you will also learn a lot of life lessons. She does rush through lectures a lot but if you read the material beforehand everything will make sense.
Easy class, just participate & read the chapters. There are some questions on her tests from the book that we didn't cover in class. There's barely any hw otherwise. An aggravating class for me because she continuously talks about juice cleanses. Just kept wanting to shout IF YOU HAVE A LIVER THERE ARE NO TOXINS! If you can handle that, go for it.
boring lectures. easy class though. as long as u read books n do all ur assignmets, you will pass. lecture was the worse part. instead of learning, we spent each class focusing on everyone's problems. annoying. if you can handle that, its an easy grade
Such an inspirational professor, her lectures are so easy to follow. She will tend to relate her lifestyle in her lectures. I personally found it easier to understand the topic as far as remembering for her test(s). While taking notes, just copy down the highlighted word in blue. It is usually the vocab to remember for quizess and or tests.
I really didn't enjoy this class, not only do the lectures drag on a bit, she stops to talk about herself and her family A LOT. She even mentioned how she's meditating and started making the whole class do it before every quiz, 10 minutes of silence just meditating with 20+ students is not relieving. A lot of time wasting going on
Professor Joneja is very intelligent and respectable. Her lectures cover the subject entirely with regard to any questions. Everyone in class becomes friends and feels at ease from the peaceful attitude she promotes.
If you show up and pay attention, youll pass with a B or higher. In all my years of education never had I enjoyed a class more than this one. She is inspiring, passionate about her line of work, and teaches in an unconventional style, that makes you WANT to come to class. Shes legit. And might I add...a hotty! Lol xD
I'm really happy i took this class. She gives quizzes before each test and all the quiz questions are on the test so if you miss them on the quiz you have a chance to get them right on the test. Tests are multiple choice and they're honestly not that hard. I didn't really read the book I just studied off notes I took in class and got an A.
Good professor. If you pay attention to the lecture, read the textbook, and remember her stories (in relation to the subject), you should do fine. Sometimes she likes to begin or end class with meditation, which is actually very helpful.
I wish I took her 16 week class! This professor is simply amazing! You will love her lectures, and her teaching styles! The meditation WILL help you relax and be more focused not only on her class, but on other classes too! You will learn the knowledge of psychology and you will also grow spiritually as a person. Thank you!
Professor Joneja is a very inspirational! Her class is not only serious and informative but she is also fun. You can tell she works hard for her students to learn. But you still need to study and read the textbook to pass the exams. The final is take home and you have two papers. It is a lot but she will give you strategies to be successful guys :)
Amy's PSYC1A class was truly a pleasure! Very passionate, caring and wants her students to succeed. Entertaining lectures and light workload. Tests are mostly based on concepts taught on her lecture/power points so pay close attention and take notes. Guaranteed A if you read the assigned chapters since her test questions are VERY basic.
As long as you communicate and ask for guidance you will be fine. Study for each test and review !
She is the best, I absolutely loved her class! Her lectures are easy to follow and super interesting, and she really cares about each one of her students and their personal success. Definitely recommend!
Absolutely loved taking Professor J! She is a tad unconventional in terms of how professors normally lecture, but if your'e open to trying new things and enjoy class activities and group conversation you'll like her class. She'll teach you mindfulness alongside sexuality, she offers a lot of EC, and she's extremely kind, calming, and fun overall.
I love Professor Js style of teaching. She truly wants you to learn and understand psychology and adds her own flare to it. All of the class lectures and discussions were interesting. Her classes are online and Zoom participation is required (presently because of COVID). She is real and genuine and also flexible if you communicate with her.
Prof J is so sweet, kind&caring. She is very to the point about her assignments and clear about her grading. She gives feedback on all assignments on how to improve. Due to COVID the class was online and attendance was only mandatory the first and last day, but she makes you want to attend her class bc of her personality. Take her! u will love her!
LOVE PROF J! She was such an amazing professor! Left her class as a new person literally! Felt really better about myself . Great lectures! Never bored! Attending her class is important to keep up with the material but as long as you let her know you cant make it one day then you should be fine! It is a MUST to take her! You wont regret it! (:
wasn't a fan, felt like I didn't learn much more because of her teaching style. In addition to teaching psychology she focuses a lot on mindfulness, more so that than psychology. She loves student input but to the point where you don't cover much in class. Good person though, type to teach you a topic and then some.
She is such a great professor! She is very caring and understanding! If you need help she will help you and there is a lot of extra credit!
She focuses on mindfulness rather than developmental psychology. Lectures drag, as she constantly stops to tell her personal stories or waits for someone to share their own. Limits paper citations to the book which isn't the greatest source. Don't expect any type of understanding for Canvas glitches or internet issues when submitting assignments.
She says at the beginning of the class that her focus is on psych for daily life. It's nice that she really wants to improve her students' mental health, but it takes time away from the actual course material. A large portion of class is spent talking about the prof & students' personal experiences, so much that it becomes hard to pay attention.
The class was basically a Free A which was nice, but I couldn't stand her. For someone "open-minded", she sure said quite a lot of passive-aggressive things and didn't offer much understanding for students with technological issues. Her views on happiness/health are also extreme which was infuriating to listen to sometimes. It was awful.
this class is an easy a but if you value your time in any capacity dont attend the lectures
Professor J is by far the best person I've ever had. She's extremely caring about her students and she's a very positive person. She's very supportive especially when it comes to mental health considering the pandemic took a big toll on a lot of people's mental health.
This class was a safe space. She made the environment so loving, all of my classmates are now friends. We meditate, and get into groups to discuss our own experiences based on the lectures. I recommend everyone take this class. We are a sexually repressed society, and being able to evaluate your own sexuality, experiences, &traumas is freeing.
ProJ is such a caring and friendly professor who really cares about her students well-being, mental health, and really inspires her students to get out of their shell. Even though the class primarily surrounded psychology of sexuality, there were various topics that we went over. Greater sexual studies should be made mandatory so highly recommend!
Probably my favorite professor so far. You definitely wanna take this class if you are interested in psychology or if you need a bit of self care. I found myself being a better person mentally and physically after this class. One downside is that the lectures can be a bit boring and long winded. Other than that, amazing professor. (not a lot of hw)
Great teacher, and advocate for mental health, and encouraged us to try new things, participate, find ourselves, and to show ourselves grace. Do take notes everything she says will definitely be helpful later in life not just for the grade. Do your work and be all good. Most of the assignments are actually enjoyable.
One of the best professors I've ever had. Assignments are simple and she usually gives students about 2 weeks to turn them in no exceptions. All of her lecture slides are found on canvas and class isn't mandatory. However, it is highly recommended. She values each and every one of her students and loves to know about them.
I love her so much! She really cares for her students, and her lectures are hilarious! I wish I had paid more attention to the lectures at the beginning of the semester. And please, please don't take her for advantage. It was crazy how many students showed up on the last day of class. She was surprised by how many students she didn't recognize!
