Overall a pretty good professor, in physics of all subjects. Test heavy, however there are homework and quizzes that can end up helping you if you let it. This is his first year at FIU so he's still adjusting, however very useful notes during lecture that does not require the textbook. Also it's good if you can reach him outside of class for help.

He also gives out an exam review similar to the exam. He does help a lot in office hours, so if you have the time to seek help, do it! Youre following me right?

Kadel is a great professor. He explains the material very well. He gives you practice exams that 90% of it resembles the real exam. Study to get a good grade in his class and his class will be an easy pass for anyone.

He made this class easy! First time of me taking physics ever and I got an A. His lectures are interesting and he answers all the questions. Extra credit in every homework. Final exam was difficult but not impossible. Quizzes are online on canvas. I definitely recommend this professor!

Kadel is an extremely good professor. You can tell he loves what he does and he really cares about his students. He also lectures in a way that makes physics understandable. This class is easy to pass even if you do not do well on the tests. While attendance is not mandatory his lectures are really helpful in understanding the HW and quizzes.

The only reason I got a C+ was my own doing only. He gives amazing lectures and prepares you very well. You can get below a 60 on all the tests and final and still pass. Just put in like 5 or so hours a week to review material and you can easily pass with a B or above

Take it with him. Just doing the hw and extra credit and getting a decent grade on the exams will get you an A. You don't even have to be good in physics but if you do the assignments you will get a good grade. He teaches very well so going to class will definitely help

Kadel is easily one of the best physics professors in FIU. There are around 6 hw's and quizzes that are online. You have 2 tries for the quizzes. He gives practice exams that are super close to the actual exams. Go over practice exams, in-class examples, and quizzes and you'll be good. This class isn't easy but Kadel makes it super manageable.

Kadel made Physics 2 easy and understandable. Students are given many days to complete homework (which includes extra credit) and quizzes are a cakewalk if you pay attention in class. Kadel's exams are nearly identical to his practice exams, and you are guaranteed an A if you study his in-class problems and the practice exams. 10/10 recommend.

Kadel is by far one of the best professors I have taken. His exam problems in lectures are just like his exam problems. know how to do all the problems he went over in class and you should be fine. His grading is very fair and loves to help students. His lectures can get boring sometimes but he is very knowledgeable and explains concepts very well

I took him for Physics 1 (PHY 2048) last year in Fall 2022 and Modern Physics (PHY 3106) this past semester, Fall 2023. His class structure is the same: as long as you attend and pay attention to his in-class examples, you will be okay. Very caring professor and is willing to help you understand the material!!!

Very overrated in my opinion. I had hear good things about him but overall, he's kind of overrated. He lectures very heavily, and gives homeworks and quizzes. Tests are very heavy. My problem with him was that he would only do his lectures. No other ways of learning. Also, he would give questions on exam that we may have only done once in class.

Low reviews are tripping; he is the best physics professor at FIU and makes complicated concepts easy. Unlike other professors, he knows what questions are in the homework and does them in class. Practice tests are almost identical to tests. Amazing.

Physics 2 w calculus is obviously a hard course but he is able to explain it really well. U have to obviously put some effort. Practice tests are very similar to real exams. and very little homework. 1000% would recommend.

attendance is not mandatory but I 100% recommend going to class bc he does practice problems which are very similar to his exams. Hw for every chapter but REALLY GOOD for exam practice. Study guide for exams, pretty similar concepts, not exact same questions. He is very approachable and not a mean professor.

Light homework. he was an ok prof but you should come to all of the lec's or you'd be lost and write good notes. He gives in class examples and go over the study guides and make alternative questions for each or find more example problems. HW didn't really help much for me but the study guide did. Gives quiz each week.

Professor Kadel is great and gives a lot of extra credit. A 90% is an A and 87-89 is an A-. He grades homework, has 5 online quizzes which are very similar to the test, and for the summer he has 3 exams each with about three chapters. The first one had the lowest average, then second, then third. His exams are very similar to the practice test.

Exams are the bulk of the grade, with homework and quizzes making up the rest. (this is PHY3106 class but there's no option for it).

Heard good things about him in prior years but as of now the class has become 100% active learning. There are no lectures nor textbook. He spends most of his time outside the classroom and it's the LAs and TA running The class really. The syllabus is slightly outdated so the grading scale is not accurate, we had to ask him personally for it.

This guy was pretty good at teaching when he actually did teach. But most of the class was active learning in groups and it got hard when we were learning new subjects and no one knew what they were doing. The TAs did most of the actual teaching. But You should be fine if you review and study. I will be taking him again next semster for phsysics 2.

Study practice exams AND in class questions when preparing for each exam. He does NOT help you, the LAs do all the work, and he barely gives notes, so you're on your own. He screwed the class over on the 2nd exam, so for the final I studied over and over again ALL the questions and I that's how I got an A. YOU'RE ON YOUR OWN.
