Theaches very well. Problems on tests are from homework. Do the work; he's very fair. Has a sense of humor and uses funny lingo with his French accent. Says "What?" a lot. Very hlepful.

kambiz is a fun teacher. interesting and cool. has a slight accent. somewhat of an english accent. funny. he tells you what homework problems to go over for the test. test question are usually the same as the homework problems. goes over problems if you ask him to. overall a good teacher!

Kambiz is a very funny teacher! I started off the semester with an F on the first test but with the help from going over the hw questions which will be on the quizzes and tests, it will be an easy A by the end of the semester. I would definitely take him again!

Khoddam is the best!!! he is really cool and laid back. he really wants his students to pass his class so he gives extra assingments when the class the does bad on a test the tests are exactly like the homework problems and he tells you which ones to study i waited two semesters in order to take math 119B just so that i could take him again.

Great--explains everything and follows up to make sure it's crystal clear. About the accent, people fuss too much--it's no worse than a British one and if you can't understand it the problem is probably not the prof's problem...on that note, it's pretty hilarious when he throws in phrases like "the whole caboodle"!!!

Very good professor...I haven't taken math in two years so i was afraid i'd have trouble with this class but because of him, i had no problems... the only thing is, the final was a bit hard...overall highly recommended

The class wasn't all that difficult. Just keep up with the work. He's a good professor, and he's willing to help you if you have any questions. He likes people who speak up in class. I'm kind of mad because I got a "B" in the class. The final was WAY harder than I expected it to be...That just shows how unsafe you are going into a final :(

He is such a great professor! He made calculus so easy and even fun! He always wants to help and is an extremely fair grader. You just have to pay attention to his lectures. The only reason why some people got bad grades was because they never showed up. So if you're looking to actually learn, then take this professor he is awesome!

He is a great professor. If you don't understand a promblem in class he will go over it until you understand it. Lectures are very clear and if you complete the homework you will do very well on the test. Must attend class because he goes over everything even things that will be on the exam. He also helps you out on the exam just ask him.

The prof. is humorous and covers the material throughly. He doesn't require you to turn in the hw, but do them since they'll make the exam easier. I would take any class this prof. teaches, he's amazing! He really interacts with the class, and his comment: "the whole caboodle," "this little puppy," etc are entertaining! TAKE HIM!

A very nice adorable man. if you copy his notes word for word and follow his instructions his notes are as good as a book if not better. My only complaint is that I felt there were sometimes more explanations as to "why" we do a certain math thing that he left out (it was for the applied sciences after all).

The BESTTTTT Math professor at CSULB! So sweet and helpful!! The exams are cake if you do the homework. He actually takes all the questions from the homework!TAKE HIM!!! EASY A IF YOU PUT IN THE TIME!

He was always very open to questions and always did his best to give students the help they need. hw nor attendance was mandatory, BUT DO GO! it will only benefit you :) quiz and test questions come straight from the hw so do it. he gives extra credit questions near the end of the semester. take him!

Khoddam was super nice and had hilarious remarks throughout lectures. Highly recommend him! Exams come from problems in the homework, which is pretty chill and he's extra helpful if you go to his office hours =) wish i had him for calc

Funny guy. I loved his class. Attendance is not mandatory, but it will help increase your grade. Tests and quizzes come directly from the homework. He doesn't collect the hw though. Grades are based on 3 quizzes, 3 tests, and 1 final. He doesn't grade anything, only the T.A. does. Take him!

SUPER FUNNY GUY :) i love him. easy class. you do have to study a little, but as long as you do the hw and study the questions he goes over in his lectures you'll do great on the tests. so just go to class and pay attention. but he makes his lectures fun so its all good :)

If you don't take Kambiz for Math 113... Slap Yourself!!! This class isn't "easy" but it's a difficult subject. He makes it a little more fun, keeps it interesting and he will spend time one-on-one, if needed (even when facing a class of 50+ students). He is a very good professor and I'm glad I took him for this class...

Hilarious! My fave prof so far! The tests and quizzes were straight out of the book, so know how to do your hw! Lectures sort of boring at times. I went to his office hours about a quiz and he helped out a lot. SI saved my life as well! TAKE HIM!! An A is doable...

AMAZING! If you're good @ math it'll be easy you, but this is not an EZ class. Got an A this semester but withdrew last semester cause I was gonna fail. Kambiz really wants to help & wants you to get a good grade.He gives lots of EC towards the end which is how I brought up my grade. He'll tell you wut to study for the tests.

Three test and a final and online homework called WebAssign. If you study the homework then you will do fine on the test! Very funny teacher.

really helpful and his tests are just like the homework. his writing is kind of hard to understand but that is not a huge problem. you also dont need the book, just pay for the ALEKS and webassign and save those $100. i never used the book because he goes over everything so i just looked over my notes

funny guy. easy to understand. all you gotta do is take notes &study. homework is due every couple days, sometimes two sections at a time. uses webassign. for homework, anther part of your grade goes to this other program, forgot the name but HELLA helped me.

Cool guy, super ridiculous sayings. Calls numbers & equations puppies and such. Super funny actually made math fun even for such a large class. All the homework is online and there is no excuse for bad grades in his class. Tests are extremely easy

Don't need textbook, just buy the webassign & aleks. This guy is helpful if you GO TO CLASS!! If you did well in intermediate algebra in high school this class is the same thing! Do all the homework it will help your grade big time! Hes a really helpful guy and pretty funny!

This class is really easy. Webassign can take a while at times, but at least you get points for it. Kambiz explains material well and is a really nice guy. The tests come directly from webassign. They're super easy as long as you study.

Jeezzz Kambiz!!! Loved this professor and agree with the easiness of the course. I too got lazy and missed too many classes, but even then I got away with a B. Visit him in his office hours, and the T.A. Daniel also, he was very good looking. I would still recommend the book, the web assign code isn't that much cheaper and the book is an easy read.

A very great professor indeed. Very funny, straight forward, & knows what he is doing. Gotta love his sarcasm. Web assign can be a little difficult, but that's it. Even the exams are easier than the HW.

Makes math so easy to understand. I'm really bad at math like a C average student, but when I had Profess. K, I received a B in the class. Really friendly & nice to students. He likes to joke around w/ the students. He made a 8 AM class easy to endure. He does not care if you sit there and do nothing; it's your choice.

Kambiz is the buisness, he makes class fun, funny and gets you to learn. He works hard to make sure that his students are understanding his concepts. The homework is online. Be interactive in class it makes learning for you easier. TAKE THIS CLASS IF YOU WANT TO LEARN.

For people who are good at math: I didn't go to class THE ENTIRE SEMESTER and still got an A. I self taught myself how to do everything through online avenues like Purplemath and the online textbook that comes with the WebAssign homework. Easy peasy. He's an awesome teacher too if you choose to attend class :)

If you have taken pre-calc in high school then youre pretty much set for this class. Home work is online there r 2 midterms and a final. Great professor. can be funny at times

He's such a great and active Professor, honestly my favorite and he picks harder problems but the way he shows you make like the easiest problems ever! He's super funny and great overall. He's also easy to ask questions to, not intimidating and will help and try his best to help you understand.

Kambiz is a really funny guy and keeps the students engaged. His examples he gives you in the notes are really helpful, and a little harder than the tests so it makes the tests easy. Only three midterms and a cumulative final. Aleks and Webassign used but its not too bad. I received a very high A in his class because he is just so amazing!

I'm VERY terrible at math, but overall this class was pretty good. There are only 4 tests; Exam 1, Midterm (aka Exam 2), Exam 3, and the Final (aka Exam 4). The final is cumulative. DO NOT BUY THE BOOK BECAUSE the online book is already available in your Web Assign. You NEED to make sure you do your Aleks and your Web Assign to pass this class.

Best Math Prof Ive ever had, always there for you and has multiple ways to help. tests are easy and so is the final, Hw are simple and clear cut. Do the online stuff. Would take him for another class any day of the year!

Easy content, which most people took in high school; but if you don't understand, Kambiz is very willing to help explain stuff. He is also a very funny guy. I would attend his class purely because of this. He makes a boring prereq. into something fun. Alternatively, you can just surf the web in back of the room. Also, no need to buy textbook.

Kambiz is a great, He is very straight forward with the exams and quizzes. His lectures are long but he is very entertaining. 3 midterms, 10 quizzes, and alot of webassigns for the semester. He also grades quick, the quiz and test results are entered onto beachboard the same day. You also dont need the book!

When I was coming to this school, I already took math classes up to Calculus. They basically made me take this class because I was undeclared. This teacher was AMAZING!! He was sooo funny and very helpful. It's not a boring old math class with a monotone professor. The homework is very similar to the lectures. Same goes for his tests!!

Not much homework. Do well on the tests; its a big chunk of your grade. Very very funny. PRINT OUT YOUR LECTURE NOTES. He might go at a fast pace so make sure you review your lecture notes. If you have troubles, go to grade maintenance it helps a ton (trust me). Don't buy the book; just the web assign. You'll never get out of class early. Hes cool!

Kambiz has such a passion for what he teaches and he truly cares about each and every student! He will make sure your questions are answered. Tests aren't too hard but do require some studying and practice for some problems. There are 3 midterms a good amount of quizzes and a final. Homework is pretty easy usually 2 HW'S a week TAKE HIM!

Kambiz was awesome! You can tell he actually cares about the success of his students and the small activity sessions make a huge difference. Study, pay attention, and take notes during the lecture and you are sure to pass. Beware his course materials are expensive though - requires a book, online hw, and online assessment first few weeks.

Khoddam was one of the best math teachers I've ever had. His tests are easy if you put in the work and he always does test reviews that basically show you what the test is going to look like. His office hours are super helpful and he's super caring. You have to show up to lecture to take notes though, don't fall behind. He's a great teacher.

I love Kambiz!!! Such an awesome professor. Had him my first year for business calc and he has changed the way I view professors. He is hilarious, helpful, and wants students to do well. Enjoyed going to his lectures even though I hate math. I did very well in his class and would definitely reccomend.

Kambiz is really a great teacher and is pretty entertaining. Try to get him for your activity sessions too, and dont be afraid to raise your hand in class. I had an A all semester but I got brought down to a B from the final, but he rewards hard work and rounded my B to an A. All in all, dope.

He's very interactive with the students and has very detailed lectures. If one student doesn't understand he will make sure they do before proceeding, as long as they ask. Often cracks jokes during lectures and the exams are very clear as the Webassign homework as well as the Offline homework problems help a lot with the exams.

Honestly such a great professor! Math has never been my strongest subject and with him I maintained an A all semester! Super open to questions at any time and urges students to participate and stop him for anything. Definitely take the SI course if offered, really really REALLY pushed me to get that A!

Professor Kambiz is amazing! He's funny and he makes sure his students understand what is going on in class. At first I thought he was a bit intimidating, but then I attended office hours and he's the best! He explains really well, and even though he is a tough grader when it comes to exams like every professor, he does his best to help you pass.

This professor is very sarcastic and funny which makes the class a lot shorter. The class does have a lot of homework and almost a quiz every week. The exams are all very straight forward as long as you do the homework.

Professor Khoddam is a very caring instructor. He makes understanding the math very simple and easy. At the start of the semester I attended tutoring extra tutoring at CBA to reinforce the material and it helped me be successful in the class. The exams are very similar to HW questions and the quizzes.

Dr Kambiz is legit the best math professor Ive had. He makes a subject that is bland interesting and fun. This class is a lot of work. Multiple weekly h/w, quizzes, 3 exams, final, online quizzes, and more. The workload was a lot but if your good at math or apply yourself, you will do fine. I went to about 50% of large lectures and will get a B.

Best professor out there, take the activity with him if you can. He gets to know you and won't be hard on you if you don't understand something. He's really helpful and will keep teaching something until the class understands it. Hilarious and truly does make my day :)

Khodam is by far the best professor I have ever taken. He is hilarious, takes time to learn student names, is very specific about what he teaches, and always wants to make sure the students are engaged in the class. As a person who struggles with math, he makes everything easy to understand so attend every lecture. I only failed three quizzes but still passed with a B, mainly because I passed every exam and final. The homework is easy but don't do it on the day that it is due. The offline homework will help you pass the exams and quizzes, so ACTUALLY STUDY! :)

Best math professor !!! I used to hate calculus , but thanks to Professor Kambiz it is now my favorite subject. His lectures are the best and he always goes into detail making sure you understand. I recommend taking math 95 definitely worth it they go over the quizzes which are almost every week and exams very helpful.

What you'd expect from a Calculus course in terms of work load. Kambiz goes slow, he's really more for those who struggle in math, if you're above avg then you may be bored but that means an easy A too. He's hilarious and such a character and will go out of his way to learn names of those who participate. He does his job of TEACHING extremely well.

As a person who is new to calculus, Kambiz is a great professor! He goes very slow and shows every step in his process so it is easy to follow. He will happily answer your questions during and outside. He does go over class time sometimes but you can just watch the zoom lectures. Tests are pretty easy just study a little bit and you'll do fine.

calculus isn't my strong suit but Kambiz is so incredibly engaging and fun in lecture that this became my favorite class. two weekly homework online that are actually super helpful in preparing you for exams. activity session was kinda dumb/useless but that's with a different teacher (dont take huerta). could have gotten an A if i tried harder lol

Professor Kambiz was very friendly! he made sure to communicate with students and try his best to be specific about each math steps. Although he always went past class time. Its a tedious course, math hw due twice a week, ALEKS needed (thought it was useless). Exams and quiz grader was harsh. Take math 95! without it youll struggle in the class.

Professor Kambiz is probably one of the sweetest professors ever. There is a lecture class and activity class for this course. The lecture is taught by Kambiz and since I took it online, the lectures were always recorded and attendance did not matter. Attendance IS mandatory for the activity part, which is taught by someone else.

Professor Khoddam is really a wonderful professor and makes calc so much easier. he is always answering every question you have during lectures and will help you after class. Beware he does go after class time a lot to finish his lectures. For online classes, all lectures are recorded and uploaded so you can go back and rewatch them. Take Kambiz!

This class will be easy if you do the homework and attend the class especially the activity session. Make sure to do the problems in the back of the workbook before you take the quiz, they're really helpful. The exams are pretty straight forward, but still study.

The material is kind of tough and you got to put the work in, but it's well worth it. Make sure you attend activity and the math 95 class, and take advantage of the College of Business tutoring center!! The tutors are very kind and want you to succeed in his class. Definitely recommend, just stay determined to pass!

Do yrslf a favor if u have to take Business Calculus & take it with Professor Kambiz! I had some issues at the beginning of the semester & couldn't attend a couple of times but the professor was so willing to help me make up the points. He also told me exactly what I needed to do to pass the class after getting a couple of bad grades on quizzes.

Definitely the best math teacher I had so far. As long as you are willing to learn and put in the effort, there should be no reason not to get a good grade on this class. Professor Khoddam does a great job explaining the problems and breaking them down to make it easier to understand.

Besides the homework is a little extensive, this professor and his class are a must-take. He's so passionate and knowledgeable about this subject which makes it easier for students to understand a learn the subject. All of his lecture and activity notes correlate with what is on the exam. No trickery. I would recommend MATH95 as well. Prepares you.

I took Prof Kambiz this semester for Bus Calc, he is very engaging, and made everyone laugh all the time. There was alot of homework and quizzes, but hey, its Calculus, it takes alot of practice to get it. Had Sydney as the Activity instructor, she was able to slow things down, and make sure you understood the material, both I'd highly recommend.

professor khoddam is one of the best professors I've ever had. the homework assignments are simple to do and you are given multiple attempts. there are almost weekly quizzes in the activity class but the activity teacher prepares you well. the 4 exams (includes midterm) are very similar to the class notes. just study and you can get an A!

The material for this class is difficult but Kambiz makes it easy to understand and he offers a lot of clarification during lectures if you need it. Theres quizzes almost every week but they're very short and simple if you pay attention. Exams are made up of material that was in the quizzes. If you get this professor you are lucky!

best teacher ever, always in a bright mood and made 8 am classes super fun. It felt like 20 minutes sometimes. I recommend going to his office hours and always asking questions. Asking questions there and not falling behind should at the worst get you a B.

Weekly emails entailing what is coming up, recorded lectures, quizzes every other week, 3 midterms, 1 final exam, hw twice a week. Sometimes the hw is harder than the quiz/exam. The activity is long but you can leave once your work/exam is done. If you're good at math it's an easy class, otherwise join the extra math class he suggests.

Amazing professor. Enrolled in the class late, but he let me retake everything I missed. Go to his office hours if you need help, he's super kind! I showed up to the first few weeks, then dipped LOL, but make sure to attend your activity class for the points. All lectures are posted on Canvas.

Professor Khoddam makes a tough subject engaging. With weekly quizzes, exams based on class notes, and tools like unstuck study for study prep, you can succeed in this class if you stay on top of the work.

Professor does very well when lecturing, cracks some jokes here and there but overall does pretty good at explaining. If you are taking 115 I highly recommend enrolling in math 95 which is a support class. They prepare you for quizzes and exams in math 95 for your 115 class (no hw or nothing). Activity class will also consist of a lot of practice.

Made math so much fun and he's so funny. Notes and the extra hw problems helped a lot. Hated the activity since I already knew the math well from the lecture. The second exam screwed me over but the exams are pretty straightforward. Easy A if you like math and understand the concept.

When exams are coming up, he tells you the types of questions on the exam. I was super lazy through the semester, somehow I fumbled and ended with a 66.7%, and HE ROUNDED ME TO A C. TAKE THIS CLASS

I loved this prof! he is caring always wanted us to do well! for ur activity make sure to take it with him and not the TAs! weekly quizzes that help for the tests! if you study well and put in the work this class is super easy and engaging !

Professor Kambiz was great I must say! The grade I got was more of my issue as I didn't really pay attention till the end. Besides maybe the accent making some things he says difficult to understand he's an overall standup guy! Tests weren't too hard and the final as well! Take him!

Really funny professor who takes his time teaching during the lectures! Would 100% take his class again. I also recommend taking math 95 if you're not the best with math for extra help.

The professor was great but the class (Math 115) was challenging. No dropping your lowest scores, or anything like that. And the final is very dense with almost everything we learned. A hard class but a good teacher.
