Her accent is a little difficult to understand at first, but if you don't understand something, it is very easy to meet with her out of class. She's extremely helpful, even on tests. Professor Nowicka is so funny without really realizing it. We had 3 tests, no midterm, and a final. I love her, and I would take her again if possible.

Well this professor is great she explains everything slowly and she is helpful to students' needs. All you have to do is go to class and do the homework. The test are easy! She usually teaches Math Method 2 for which students who didn't take calculus in high school should take her. i managed to get an A even though i took calculus in highschool

Prof Nowicka is adorable! Her stories about Poland are so funny, and she's super nice! Only 3 tests and a final, all open notes, and she reviews absolutley everything beforehand. She even made us all little clay pigs because she loved us! Great professor and great class!!! I would definitely take her again!

Professor Nowicka is the sweetest woman on the planet. She also happens to be an incredibly easy professor. She assigns essentially optional hw, drops your lowest test, and lets you use some notes on the tests. The only problem is that she doesn't always give the clearest explanations because she doesn't understand or her accent. Still TAKE HER

She is awesome!!! Such a nice lady and super helpful. her office hours are basically a way to get a better grade and she is hilarious. very easy to do well if you do the simple homework and go to class. definitely take her if you have the chance!

The second Best professor I have had for maths till now. My high school Teacher beats her by the fact that he got me to like maths but she made me continue to love it.

She is great. I am ATROCIOUS at math and she makes it seem easy. Great professor, really cares about the students. She has a heavy polish accent which takes some getting used to but in general she's wonderful.

Nowicka is a sweet sweet lady. Heavy accent but still  very clear. She's very sympathetic and let us retake tests.  I recommend.

Prof. N. is soooo sweet & helpful. She knows that most kids in the class are non-math majors only trying to satisfy core req. She makes the material quite simple. If I remember correctly, she drops the lowest test grade. To be honest, she told me not to worry about taking the final exam because my other scores were good enough to prove A-worthy. <3

Great professor and very nice.She does a good job teaching.Sometimes teaches a little too fast and has an accent but you would get used to it.Gives 3 tests(20% each) and drops the lowest grade.Reviews for tests. Professor Nowicka really understands that many of the students in her class are not math major and are just trying to fill core req. She really has the students best interest at heart. Gives make up test, extra credit, and review sheet for midterm and final so you know what to expect. Take her class!

Favorite professor of my first semester! Easy A class, but she'll explain things to you if you don't understand something. She's super funny and when she's not teaching, she'll tell you a story about juggling, the opera, or something about how all her kids ended up in Hawaii. Cares for her students, and one time had a mini bday party for a guy!

The nicest professor at Fordham! Three exams - she drops the lowest grade. Easy homework. Very clear in her lectures. Always there to explain something if you don't understand it. Also, did I mention she's the nicest professor ever because, she's so nice! She handed out polish chocolates during the final exam!

She has great lectures and is an excellent teacher. Always makes sure that everyone in the class understands the material before moving on and comes to class with practice problems so that you know how to do the exams.

She lets you use a cheat sheet for tests with equations and whatever you'll need to be prepared to take the test. She takes attendance at the end of class, but if you miss a class or two, its very easy to catch up. She does have a thick accent but she's the sweetest and funniest teacher in her own way. Homework and in-class group work count!

I absolutely ADORE Professor Nowicka. She is the most caring and sweetest professor I had so far. She really wants you to pass and is willing to stay after class if you have any questions or if you want to go over certain questions one-on-one. If you do her practice questions and prepare a cheat sheet before your test you should get an easy A.

Prof N is the cutest little polish angel. I literally hate math with everything in me but she makes it bearable. Gives out a test review sheet and allows for a cheat sheet, which allows for easy A's on the tests. She is also so funny and tells weird stories that still make you laugh. Do take!!

She is a very nice lady and the class is easy. Test questions can be harder than the homework questions but if you study you will do well. Definietly the best choice for finite math

Only 3 exams, she drops lowest scores of them and a final. Test are WAYY harder than hw and classwork. shes so sweet and her personality is amazing, really tries to help. Dont expect an easy A, the hw n classwork are easy because she gives answers but the test and final are ridiculous

Prof. Nowicka is adorable. Tests are hard but she allows you a cheat sheet for all exams. She is always willing to help you and your grade and just really cares about her students. Take her if you want to get math requirements over with.

Took Kamilla Nowicka for Applied Calculus and she was honestly the best, kindest professor I've ever had. Not sure how she compares to other math teachers at Fordham but if you focus in class and are willing to learn then you will do well in the class.

There are 3 tests in total that she will count. She's the sweetest. At first, she would only post videos, and we would take tests on our own and email them to her at a certain time. But then she did optional zoom classes and gave extra credit problems on those. She records more videos for questions. No book needed to buy so you don't waste money

Class is super easy online. Class is asynchronous and is attendance is not mandatory, but going to class can really help prepare you for the tests. 3 tests and a final, one of the 3 tests gets dropped which is super nice. 6 homework assignments that you have a week do each. She can be hard to understand and is not great with responding to emails.

Would highly recommend taking this class with Prof Nowicka! 3 tests plus a final and she drops the lowest score out of the 3. Non-mandatory zoom calls but they were very helpful. Always open to extra help and gave extra credit at the end of most zoom classes. Overall amazing and sweet lady, I definitely would take the class again and I recommend !!

A LITERAL GEM. Really cares about her students and often gave extra credit or double points on assignments. Only three tests, and she drops the lowest score at the end of the semester. Comprehensive final, but she gives really good study guides that reflect the material on the tests and final. Ultimately recommend for Finite and for any core class.

Professor Nowicka was so sweet! I took her online for Finite, and she clearly struggled a little with the technology however it was all manageable. She only gave 3 tests and a final, but she drops the lowest of the 3 test grades. Homework is manageable, but to be honest, I'm not quite sure how it was graded. Overall I would recommend her!

Professor Nowicka is a real gem and if you are lucky enough to have her, you will have a wonderful semester. She gives frequent homework but they are what the lessons teach and will give you solid practice for tests. Never any surprises on exams, was always exactly what was taught. She is super sweet and goes above and beyond for her students!

Nicest lady ever. Calc can be difficult, but she was always willing to spend a ton of time in office hours and do loads of practice problems with you. Exams can be hard, but you need to pay attention in class and do all homework. She spends a lot of time explaining concepts. She was definitely one of my fav profs this semester. Highly recommend.

Nowicka is the best math professor I ever had. She is so sweet and explains problems so thoroughly. Homework is very reasonable and tests are fairly graded. She actually made me enjoy math! I would just say if you are not used to people with thick accents, she may be hard to understand at times. I didn't have that problem. Highly recommend her.

I've heard people complain about her accent but I honestly didn't have trouble understanding her. She also warned us about her accent in the first class to give people a chance to switch sections. I'm literally obsessed with her. I think she's so funny and one of the best math teachers I've ever had. A lot of people struggled in this class but if you pay attention and take notes you'll be fine. You have all formulas and calculator on all tests, so it's fill in the blank essentially. Tests are exactly what we review in class. Super easy class

Ms. Nowicka is amazing! Her notes are incredibly clear and despite her accent, she is extremely easy to follow. Her tests are extremely easy as she gives you the formulas for everything, and you have to try to not to get above an A- or B+ on each test. Lots of extra credit.

Would recommend Nowicka, I've taken 2 math courses with her & she's been great. She does have an accent but I always found her easy to understand. There's 3 tests & a final. Your lowest test score from the 3 gets dropped. The tests are similar to the reviews she gives so make sure you do the practice questions. There isn't a lot of HW.

She's the goat. Super easy class. The whole class is on physical paper, never used a computer once. There is no midterm but rather 3 tests where she then drops the lowest score. Homework is so easy too. Shes the goatttt

I love Professor Nowicka! She has a strong accent, but I could understand her fully the entire semester. She teaches a lesson and then the rest of class is just doing examples on the board. Tests are easy; some of the questions are just recycled from homework. There are only a few homework throughout the semester, and she's very lenient about them.

pretty easy class, and i am not a math person whatsoever. there are three tests and the worst one gets dropped, and then the final at the end. small hw assignments but they don't take more than 20-30 minutes. she is also funny

Good professor, class is overall super easy if you know basic math. Cares about students and works with them so they can succeed. Gives formulas, and drops one midterm in case you do badly. Very kind, midterm and final was short 10 questions give or take. Sort of funny, but maybe has some extra credit? It's unclear but the class is easy A.

She is silly and very caring towards her students. The math is basic level calculus. Anyone can pass this class she makes it very simple.

Take her if you aren't strong in math!! Her practice tests are exactly like the midterm/final. There are three midterms and a final but she drops your lowest midterm grade. Homework graded for completion. She may seem a bit confusing at times but if you ask questions she really cares about her students and wants to help.

Professor Nowicka is great! As a person who is not good at math, I'm able to understand what is going on because she makes it easy to understand. She is a really good teacher and she's really really funny. She is also really understanding and if you show up late or miss class it's not a big deal.

Professor Nowicka is amazing! She is a great teacher, especially for math which is usually very hard for me. She wants everyone to do well and is very caring and constantly ensuring that everyone understands. There are opportunities for extra credit by participating, few exams & classwork, & homework is graded on completion. Let us out early a lot!

I love this woman so much. She is the best person ever and cares about students. If you do the practice test she gives out, then you'll be fine for the tests. She says funny comments out of nowhere. Take her over any other finite professors.

Wonderful. Very nice lady and very good teacher. She offers extra help on zoom, which is super helpful. She also drops the lowest test grade, does a lot of review without giving too much homework, and is a very understanding person in regards to tardiness.

Professor Nowicka was great. I was super intimidated about taking math in college, as it has always been one of my weaker subjects. However, Professor Nowicka made this class super understandable and I ended with an A for the first time in a math class ever! She's awesome, definitely take her for Finite Math.

Best professor I've had at Fordham. Cares about her students and always brings in humor to her subject (which is admittedly very easy and boring). There were 6 HWs, 3 exams, and a final - all were easy if you're even just okay at math and exactly like the reviews. She gave everyone good luck frog statue things before our finals.

Loved her and the lucky frog she gave us for our 1st test so much. She's so funny, and honestly makes math the highlight of my day. She encourages participation, even if you aren't sure what to do. Work is very manageable! Not too much HW. Had 3 tests, dropping the lowest grade of the 3. Final exam was cumulative, but again easy if you review.

I might be an outlier because I had a bunch of friends complain about how hard the class was. However, I thought it was really easy. She gives 3 tests and a final. Of the first 3, she drops your lowest grade. The only other things in class are occasional homework and classwork activities. If you mess up on two tests, though, say goodnight.
