Great Professor, he cares if you actually understand what is going on in class and takes the time to make sure you understand if you don't. He doesn't go through the motions and keeps the class interesting.

His teaching suited me, but might not be for everyone. If you're like me and you prefer a class with less assignments (heavy test scores), attending class and paying attention while you're there, it's good. But bombing tests and skipping class (though non-mandatory) leaves you empty-handed since the lectures are not entirely based on the textbook.

Professor Naik is great! Seriously, if you show up, pay attention, and take notes, it's literally a free A. He explains exactly what you need to know for homework, quizzes, and exams.

Fall 2021 was his first class and he was the best professor I had in that semester. If you attend every class and listen carefully and practice, it's an easy A. His exams will be amazing, you will get to see some slightly tricked questions. Very helpful with the doubts. Even though he is a young professor you can learn a lot.

Professor Naik is caring and straightforward. The class requires you to put in effort, which means not an easy A. However, he is very clear in terms of what will be asked in the exams. If you attend his classes and do the homework then things will be easier. Do not wait for the last moment to study for exams, he does tell you that.

Prof. Kamlesh is the best professor in the CS dept at NJIT. He teaches OS very passionately. He truly understands students and goes out of his way to help them. He is truly a professor of my dreams. He's exams are brain triggering, yet interesting. NJIT has really received a gem like him. Prof. Naik is very young, dynamic and handsome to the core.

He's one of the best Professors I've ever met in my entire life. Prof. Kamlesh is extremely dedicated to his work and keeps his class interesting. His immense knowledge, active communication and easily approachable personality makes learning fun. He's very handsome and friendly. Also, I'd definitely take his class once again.

Prof. Naik's class has always been interesting. He has a fascinating personality and an excellent teaching style along with his ability to set goals. Prof. Naik is always elaborative, bold and confident during the delivery of lectures which makes the students understand the concepts well.

Prof. Kamlesh's lectures are super interesting. He keeps the class atmosphere lively and has the best character. He has an outstanding control over class and is easily accessible and prompt during his lectures. Also, he has tremendous respect towards the potential of his students. I think he is a philosopher. You must listen to his philosophy in class. What he tells in class is always true. He understands students. He loves his students a lot. More than that he loves his profession. Truly admirable person. Nice to speak with him always. He is very down to earth.

One of the few professors at NJIT whose lectures actually won't bore you to death. His homework and quizzes are very straightforward with the midterm/final ensuring you payed attention to the biggest points presented in lecture. Anyone interested in the subject presented will find him to be magnificent.

Professor Kamlesh cares about his students and he teaches very clearly. You will know what will be on the quiz and what the exam material will be exactly there is nothing arbitrary at all. Don't listen to any low review because they are sore that they just didn't study the material. Take this professor and only him!

I dont know why people are throwing negative reviews because this professor literally teaches you everything you need for the exams and he tells you exactly whats on them and the quizzes. You must show up to class cause he will tell you what you need to know. Take my advice and take this professor, one of the easiest classes to your schedule.

I only have few words for Prof. Naik. The most beautiful teacher in the department of computer science. He is outright amazing in looks, personality, appearance and teaching.

The class is very lecture heavy, but he does provide his own lecture notes after each chapter. While attendance wasn't mandatory, the quiz/exam content was only covered in class and not present on the textbooks recommended by the professor. He doesn't give much partial credit, so for multipart questions, it's almost always all or no credit.

Pretty good Professor tbh, just gotto put some time in for this class and you'll definitely get an A or B+. It's theoretical class and some trivia too so just take good notes and study them before exams and you'll do pretty decent.

He's a great professor who really cares about his students. He may seem harsh at first glance, but he genuinely loves his students and his passion to teach. He tells you exactly what to expect on quizzes and exams. He explains the concepts well. Just pay attention In class, look over your notes, and you should do ok.

I'm disgusted by some of the reviews here. Professor Kamlesh was one of the best professors I've had in this college when it comes to giving amazing lectures. He's extremely clear about grading and when the quizzes will be. You're taught what will be on the quizzes the week prior. You'll pass from simply understanding the HW and paying attention.

It's a hard class, so expect to put some work in. Lectures are very important as he covers a lot of information. He goes out of his way to provide chapter notes which are very helpful. But you still need to go to class to understand the methods and concepts. He is very fair with grading, and somehow makes the long lectures easy to sit through.

Honestly, if you show up for class, this will be one of the easiest class you will take. The quiz and hw dates are clear and it is literally a free grade to boost your final grade. Take this professor if you have to take this class.

This is one of the few professors in the cs department that is genuinely passionate about teaching, and if you njit you know that means a lot. He is pretty straight forward about the topics, if you pay attention is easy to understand. Exams are tougher but he tells you the format and topics so is not surprise. One of the best professor I had.

Honestly one of the most caring professors I have taken at NJIT. His exams are lecture heavy, he goes over enough example problems throughout his lectures, so as long as you show up, pay attention and understand what the practice problems you'll be fine. He wants to see his students succeed, and if you show up and do the work you'll be fine.

First of all he is the most passionate professor I have ever studied under in my life. Passionate in the sense he wants their students to succeed in their life. He literally care about their students, because he delivers quality so he cares and expects the same from students. Cons- He won't teach tricky questions which he's gonna ask in the exam.

He's one of the best professors ever had in my life, his teaching skills are so exceptional, better teaching skills than the CS head of the department.

The class isn't over yet so idk abt final but so far, this class is genuinely very enjoyable and as long as you pay attention, it's pretty easy. No ppts, and one of the only classes I don't just forget stuff the day after I learn it. Prof is really smart and enjoyable to listen to, honestly just seems like a great guy. Take if you can, hes goated.

Prof. Naik explains most concepts well, but sometimes he goes a bit too fast. He's a tough grader, which I'd say most people who have taken a course with him can agree with. I will say though that he is very transparent about what will appear on your exams, so when it's time to take them you shouldn't be shocked. Also, don't skip class, trust me

The professor is always accessible and has really improved the subject. The subject in itself does not feel much helpful from an industry point of view. However, Kudos to the professor for making the class more interactive. He is really passionate for his subjects and students. Will take the professor again not the subject.

I looked forward to coming to this class every single time! Kamlesh is very personable and takes the time to know everybody's name. Since he knows everybody's name, don't think of skipping class. I'm not sure why you would want to skip his amazing class anyway. Extremely funny and entertaining guy! Course is very hands-on and you'll love it

Naik is the absolute best teacher I've had in the CS department. He grades somewhat harshly, but equally and fairly. Naik explains concepts very well and often stops the class to ensure that everyone is following along. If you need to take your OS class, definitely take Naik.

My best professor so far. He made every class enjoyable and interesting. Attendance isn't required but if you attend, everything he teaches will be on the midterm/final. Quizzes are easy and made clear before taking it. He is tough on grading and seldom gives partial credit. No late work accepted, but he's always dripped out.

Professor Naik might just be the best CS professor at NJIT. The material is not always easy but he teaches it so clearly and tells you exactly what you need to know from each chapter. He regularly gives quizzes but they are usually on one topic and keep you sharp for exams. I wish he taught more classes because I miss having a professor like him.

Excellent knowledge and ability to delivery it to the students. The only thing expected is consistency and discipline nothing out of the world. It will prepare you for real world application of the things that will be learned here. The professor is super organized and makes sure each student has his/her concepts clear. Most recommended.

Professor Naik is hands-down one of the best professors in the NJIT Computer Science department. He genuinely cares about the success of his students and is more than qualified to be teaching this course. His knowledge of the material is very clear, and he perfectly prepares you for each quiz and exam. Must take.

Professor Naik is by far one of the best professors I've come across.Cares a lot for your success. You will lose points in your answer from the point where a mistake has been made solving the question. So be sure to double check your answers! Note: THE MATERIAL IS NOT HARD! Pay attention in his class and you will be amazed at how much you learn!

I took CS332 with him in winter and to be honest I have learned in two weeks more than any other class I took in my entire time at NJIT . Very good professor I am happy I took this class with him .

He is one of the few CS professors at this school that actually wants everyone to succeed. He's very smart, nice, and caring. The class itself is not hard, just put in the effort and study.

Arguably the best cs professor at NJIT. AMAZING. You will learn so much and he will tell you EXACTLY how to get good grades on HW, Midterm and Quizzes. But... the final exam is the most brutal exam I have ever taken in any class in my 4 years here. The guy next to me put his head down halfway through the exam and started softly crying.

He is one of the best professors I have taken. Has a very clear grading criteria he tells you ON DAY ONE. 6 homeworks, 4 quizzes, a midterm, and a final. Midterm was pretty good and the final was also not bad, people complaining about it just didn't study well. He literally tells you what type of questions he will ask for the exam.

lowkey a zestfest, good professor but wastes a lot of time saying "are you getting it" when it's a simple concept. Class is a drag he moves very slow.

No bs, no powerpoints, he will teach you everything you need to do good in the course.

Naik is amazing at explaining concepts and I loved having him as a teacher. Problem is the midterm and final which basically make up 70% of your final grade have problems that are much much harder than anything done in class or on quizzes. But that given he does make it basically impossible to fail the class if you do the work and try you'll pass.

Prof. Naik is an amazing teacher. I recommend taking him over any other prof for 332. I was doing really well in his class and his class was the only one I looked forward to. I really have great respect for him but it deeply saddens me that because of negative comments in the past, he is much more strict & difficult with exams (final was a pain).

Great professor and teacher, breaks down concepts VERY clearly which, in turn, makes the class really easy. His exam questions tend to be wordy, but they are very much doable as long as you read through them patiently and understand the concepts in class. He also gives you the exact layout of the exam (# of from each topic) beforehand.

Prof. Naik is an excellent professor for this class. It's a hard class, but he organizes the material incredibly well. He's incredibly caring for his students and although he may be intimidating at first, email him or go to his office hours if you have questions and you'll find he's a huge help. The exams, however, could REALLY be toned down a lot.

Overall one of my favorite professors at NJIT. He does a great job at teaching the material, the only downside is that he doesn't post any of the material on canvas which makes it difficult to catch up if you miss a lecture.

You will have to put a lot of effort from your side, but I assure you, the experience is worth the effort. His lectures are detailed and the concepts he teaches are very simplified so that students can understand. I took the undergraduate version of this course (CS 332) and since then I was willing to take his class again when I started my Masters.

By far the best professor at NJIT. He is very funny, caring and is always willing to help his students. He is a loving man and makes all concepts super easy to understand. If you have the option to take his class, take him you will be glad you did.
