I would not recommend him, he grades hard and marks down for little things on your lab, quiz and test. He marks down 20% on your lab, even if you are late to class. He is not very helpful. When you do something wrong in lab he won't tell you, you weren't suppose to do it, even though he never told the class. Has a good out look on life though.

Pro. G used to teach at my school, he's a very good professor and will help you to prepare for the transition to university, try your best and seek his help during office hour, I learnt alot, not just chemistry. and I'm grateful for that. My friends and I always said "as long as you pass chemistry with Mr.G, you'll be fine in other later courses."

He's a dedicated professor who'll challenge you to strive and become a better student. I can't fault any professor that does that. Students on this site that gave bad reviews are clearly ones who failed, who didn't really try and can't take accountability for their own actions. He even scheduled separate study sessions to accomodate for finals.

Chem55 is not for students who took sometime off from chemistry or is not well versed in the subject before hand. There is minimal lecture and there isn't much work outside of class, its just hw from the textbook and you can take the quizes at home. He is an adaptable, dynamic professor and will help you. Make sure to utilize office hours!

I got an A because I took AP Chem in high school. The last two chapters were new material though. I took him last semester and if you want to pass you definitely have to read the chapters in the textbook to really understand the material. Each week: 1 quiz, 1 assignment, maybe 1 lab, and had four exams + final. Doesn't check homework. Labs easy.

Ez class. Studied one day before each exam and got around 90% everytime. Study guide matches exactly whats on the testpaper, lab is fairly simple, and the class is not even half difficult compared to ap chemistry I took in high school.

He is a very nice and friendly teacher and his lectures are very helpful and understandable. The subject is not easy overall but providing enough time and talking to the teacher about the questions will make it easier. He helps a lot to prepare you for the exams.

While the labs are straightforward, the only weight of the grade is lab work, in which, if you do it wrong, you lose points, and that could definitely affect your grade, along with the exams. Provides material on what to expect on the exam; however, if you are not a know-it-all chemistry master pro, then you might not expect a good grade.

Asynchronous course: In terms of "instruction", he isn't there to teach you the material unless you go to his office hours or email him (which he'll respond to within a day). You learn the material all on your own & do the work provided outside class and only attend class for labs and tests. Great professor, easy class.
