He's the best! He's clear, enthusiastic, and interesting. I don't know what's with those other comments. Try working hard! Students who have English as a second language may have difficulty because of his accent, other than that he's great.

he's a good teacher... funny... but remember to keep up in readin.. if u do.... midterms and final will b alrite.. not too hard.

His notes are important than study guide, or texts. Final is the most difficult one.

This instructor was quite clear with the notes, but I had a hard time understanding him due to his Iranian sounding accent. Overall, he was a pretty decent instructor. This is based on his class which I took 5 years ago.

3 MT exams only. Very thorough, and as a plus a very dry sense of humor--probably the most witty teacher I've had.

Nice class and a nice guy. Just study his notes and the text then you'll be fine. 2 midterms+1 final based on some short answer questions and several m/c. Pretty easy to do well. TAKE HIM

He's a good teacher, he makes things clear and is very helpful. But you must keep up, his mid terms can be very hard if you're not prepared. I found the study guuide to be helpful in my studying.

He is the best prof. in the Economic Department. He is witty, clear, and considerate. He understands what he is teaching, and answers your question thoroughly and clearly. His midterms are fair. I really recommend students to take his course!

Good instuctor, make hard theory into easy and funny examples. Exam may be little bit harder than u think. Try to understand as much as possible in class and write it down, that will be very helpfull!

Great teacher, uses good examples, very witty, a lot of fun taking his course, but sometimes I had too much fun, and ended up missing the entire point. Always willing to help and has good office hours.

He's a nice guy who likes to crack jokes. He is very helpful when you're confused. It's easy to make appointments to see him. Exams are straight forward, just read his notes and do questions from the book. Accent is strong, but quite entertaining. He's a good Prof., take him.

What idiot wrote there's a 'language barrier'? He has an accent but if you can't understand him it's because you can't speak english well yourself. He's really funny and entertaining but his teaching is only okay; you should read the text and do the study guide.

A very good economics teacher. He uses alot of real world examples in his lectures. Attending class and taking notes can guarantee you at least a 70% on one of his midterms. His accent makes people want to listen to him and he tells quite a lot of jokes as well.

Awesome teacher. If you study it will be a breeze. Makes the class very interesting. Catches everyones attention. Easily one of the best professors at Langara. Definitely the best Economics teacher at Langara. Anybody who has bad comments abot him is an idiot and shouldnt be taking this course.

Simply one of THE best professors I've ever had. Funny, clear, and enthusiastic. Always maintains interactions with the class. What appeared to be a boring course was made interesting by him. Highly recommended.

he has good notes, and his lectures aren't too boring. i enjoyed his class, but his exams are very hard. you would have thought reviewing the notes and reading the text would help, however his exercies during lectures are way too easy compared to the exam, which made it difficult to study.

izad has a very good personality, it makes the material just barable to go through. he explains the concepts in class very well but i warn you that the midterms/finals are very hard and tricky.

Easy class if you actually read the textbook, got 92% on first midterm cause i went to class and read the text. Comes out with some random funny comments. Any type of question you had he went through very thoughroughly to answer it. Good guy.

he is an example of perfect teacher. kind but serious at the same time very helpful he has the ability to answer any question cuz he has the knowledge very respectfull and funny. if you go to the classes and read the book you will do more than fine you will love him

Nice prof but dis-organized lecture. Don't know which chapter he's in sometimes. class is interesting most of the time. I tried to never miss a class cuz each class reinforced the materials taught in previous classes. However, exams are HARD. Only 3 tests in total and each 1 hr long xept final 1.5hr. Hard to prepare for cause so much to cover!!

Incredible sense of humour. Kamran is a great teacher and is very helpful, he'll make sure your laughing in class with his jokes. Definetly take him as your teacher. Excellent real world examples. Downfall however is his grammer in midterm questions.

Izad is a VERY GOOD prof. if you attend every single class, had the notes, listen to what he said, and read text, you are TOTALLY fine with his mids and finals (they are relatively easy). Don't miss his class. i sicked for a week and found out i missed a lot! however, he did go thru what was in the previous class. OVERALL, a great professor.

Man,he is the best.heis so funny with his jokes.haha. very knowlegeable. very formal. as the question"are there any questions" every single day.haha,funny. exams are not bad. just try to focus on the lecture,and study the notes and the textbook too. sometimes he ask for definitions of some vocabularies. good one.

Ok, granted, he is nice, super funny, 100% likable. But his mids are HARD! Seriously people, if you miss one class you are screwed. He sometimes goes into topics not in text at all, and will question you on it in mid. If you don't get other people's notes then you are hanging yourself, even if you attend, still hard, he can be tricky!

I had absolutely no interest in economics when I signed up. Izad is a wonderful teacher though, and I actually really enjoy and understand it now. He has a great sense of humour, takes time to answer questions. Mid-terms are fine as long as you really understand the material, which you have to show for class everyday to do. Highly recommend him!

I don't know what people are talking about when they say the midterms are hard, they're not! I didn't even read the textbook and got 75%! He's super funny and made me like econ. Class is fun to go to and he seems to know most of the students. Love him!

I don't like Econ much before I take this course. But he teaches really good and I start to like Econ now. Mid-terms are ok, just read the textbook and pay attention in class and you'll be fine! Take his courses!!!

I hate math and anything to do with it. So I was totally suprised with how much I enjoyed his class. I got a B- and it was all because he makes you WANt to do good! He's THE BEST econ prof out there!! I actually worked my butt off to get that grade but it was DEFINATELY an enjoyable experience. GREAT CLASS!!!

Love this guy! condenses book material, gives you important concepts, best lectures ever. you gotta be quick in following and maybe do excercise from the book, other than that just make sure you understand (it's all common sense anyways).

It helps to read the textbook prior to entering his class because he often jumps around different topics that may not explicitly be related. His exams are straight-forward and he doesn't scale up/down your grade--what you get is what you get! Overall, he's a good teacher!

He has a hint of accent, but that does not interfere with his lectures at all. His tests are difficult, but as long as you attend his lectures you should do fine - and if you refer to the book under the sections he talked about, you'll do even better. I can't emphasize it enough, he gives really good lectures so don't miss it.

Izap is the best econ teacher I've ever met. Can't stop laughing in his class. His notes are quite random, so it is better you refer to the textbook for where he is. The nice thing is he uses many example to help you understand, but you should pay attention to definition and concepts. In his class, you will never lose your attention- he is so nice!

Economics is hard but Kamran tries to make it interesting. He doesn't follow the text book so going to class is essential. He is very helpful, just ask! His tests are hard but the material is complicated. He uses examples a lot but they may be hard to understand if you are not a native speaker. he has an accent.

Very difficult tests. His lectures are very straight forward and easy to understand. Then, he screws you over on the tests. His tests are NOT NEAR close to what he teaches. He throws in trick questions too. I dont suggest him. Class average is a fail and I barely passed. I took micro with another teacher and got a B+..

Great prof, took both micro and macro with him. Light workload, only 2 midterms and 1 final. Each carries 1/3 of the grade. Lectures are easy to understand. As long as u show up in class and jot all the notes down, u will do fine. Midterms and final are a bit tricky, have to understand the materials fully. An easy marker tho. Highly recommended!

I took his macro econ this sem. He is a good teacher actually, his explanation was very clear, he also encouraged us to ask him questions. Just like someone said,he doesn't have quizzes or class work stuff, you guys just have 2 midterms and 1 exam, each test covers at least 90% of new material. Unfortunately, he is not a easy marker=[ I got A-.

Fun and upbeat guy. Exams are hell though, the wording is tricky since he's not great at English and they cover many topics not touched on in class. So having a fun class isn't too useful considering the exams.

As long as you read his notes and the textbook, and attend each class,you will do fine.Fair marker

He explains the material very well and clear, notes are great, but the questions on exams are just a whole new level to the ones that he taught in class. no homework, no assignments, just exams, each worth 33.3%. Funny teacher, gets a lot of laughs. Has an accent but still easy to understand. Very clear when explaining material. Examples are good and relatable to the real world. Answers questions well in class. Tests are based on what he's taught in class, good to look in text for further understanding. Still an overall difficult course. Would take again.

nice teacher and knows what he's talking about. very clear lectures and easy to take down notes. however, your mark will be based on the marks on the 2 midterms and finals - only con that i found to taking the course. cracks random jokes which is nice and keeps it less boring. doesn't use book much, or at all

The best teacher I've ever had at Langara. He so clear and he knows exactly what he is doing. You have 3 exams weighted equally for the term. exams are OK if you attend the class and study enough. No tricks or stupid questions on exams. You will know exactly what he wants from you in the exams. he is simply PERFECT!

One of the best prof at Langara. His exams are not easy actually, but he is very patient and helpful. I only got B- but I still really really love him.

Funniest Professor ever, you will definitely enjoy his Econ class. The only downside about his class is his tricky tests. The answers to his tests are simple, but worded really awkwardly. You need to read the questions carefully to do well. Overall not a hard course!

I took Macro+Microeconomics with Kamran and I loved his class. Although his exams are super hard, many of his questions are worded in a way to trick you. I enjoyed every lecture, he is one of the best professors at Langara and is very knowledgeable in this field.

I LOVE KAMRAN!!!He is so friendly and keeps the class interesting by his jokes. He is clear and knowledgeable. His exams are not THAT hard if you jot good notes and read through the textbook. Highly recommended :)I've had 8 econ teachers in my life so far and he is the best one!!!
