She's an awsome teacher who will always take the time to explain if you don't understand. Thank the Lord that she came and saved us from Iacino's wrath!! After Prof. Street started to teach people who were failing started to pass! It's hard but you learn!

I have NO CLUE why or how people could say ANYTHING negative about Karah. I have a MA degree and am changing careers to nursing, and to date she is the best and most brilliant teacher I have ever had. She is kind, helpful and funny. I am currently taking BIO 11 with Karah...One of the greatest, most helpful teachers, although her class is rigorous.I would typically post this at the end of the semester. And the negative comments left by the idiot, Karah said that a previous student of her's was trying to sabotage her reputation on this site. NEWS FLASH ~This isn't highschool.

I am out to set the record straight! I graduated from a top 20 uni. & taken tons of classes @ S.C. Karah is a good, average teacher. She is not the most challenging, nor the best lecturer,& at times she appears to care more about being a friend than teacher, but she is competent. As with all classes, you will learn as much as you set out to learn.

Karah will prep you for harder courses to come & if U R complaining about her, good luck surviving pharm, etc. SHE WILL PREP U WELL, if U get off your duff and study like a college student. Anyone that knocks her is clueless - realize the importance of critical thinking and reading and being self-motivated now, or else u WILL fail!

Dr. Kara Street is a good teacher..her lectures were funny and uses examples 2 get the point across, but becareful lectures R nothing like the tests..they are a G rating of the real stuff..she goes easy on the 1st 2 tests and then lets U have it on all the rest, so be prepared. Go to office hours, get study groups and don't get behind. Good luck!

Kara is Awesome, first of all don't take a class like Anatomy unless your interested in the subject and you plan on being in the medical field... with that in mind YES she is hard, that is a good thing because you learn alot!!! I am SO glad I took Karahs class! It's a lot of work, but she makes it interesting and fun. I never dread going to class. She breaks it up so there are a lot of tests, but that way you don't have to try to remember 6 chapters worth of info for a single test. Kara is a fantastic teacher. The subject matter is extremely difficult, and many students are not willing to put in the time or effort that the class really requires. Physiology is boring and thank goodness, Karah is not. You can tell that this professor poured hours of hard work before every presentation and class to make sure you have a clear understanding of the subject matter. Karah Street is "Superwoman"! She devotes time in aiding students between BOTH teaching and grading her anatomy/physiology classes. On top of that, she actively parents two children. As a teacher I'm sure she doesn't doesn't get paid enough for all the time and effort she devotes in helping her students succeed.

Nothing against the teacher personally because I do feel that she was willing to help out as much as poss, but the workload for a 4unit class shouldn't be 30-40 hours a week.If you could avoid her course-Do so!

Dr. Street is HARD, she is really fun to listen to though. Don't get me wrong, she's super nice. But her tests are extremely difficult, If you take her be ready for a lot of extra work. She has a packet due before every test and Physio Ex work due before EVERY lab exam. BE READY TO STUDY A LOT.

This class is hard, but I don't think I have ever been in a class with 40% of the students getting A's, like Karah's class this semester. Lectures entertaining, but can be hard to follow. Some disjointedness in lectures because of more than 1 lecture series going at once, from lab, to lecture to discussion. Be prepared to put in lots of time. Exam reviews are on the money! Listen to ALL sections' review recordings. Good instructor who goes the extra mile.

Unquestionable dedication. Karah provides all the tools a student needs to succeed in this class. She records the lectures, has transcripts, and she holds review sessions. All she asks is the same amount of effort from her students. I don't know of a class that is as hard as this but with so many students getting A's.

Karah has high expectations but it's understandable, this is a class for aspiring health care professionals. Anyone complaining should think about changing their major. I had the pleasure of taking this professor 7 years ago. It was a requirement for nursing school. She is an excellent professor and wants her students to succeed- she puts in the time and effort and expects you to do the same. This was my favorite class taken in my entire undergrad, but it was definitely difficult. Karah is clear and articulate, and she will provide all the tools you need to get an A, but there's no way to get around studying. Record lecture and relisten. She is by far the most helpful professor I have had. This is by far the most difficult class I have had, however, with hard work and minimal units you can do well. I overloaded myself, and I am still pulling a B. If I had not taken so many classes an A would be possible. YOU MUST STUDY HARD!!! Join study groups and talk to her when you need help.

This was a VERY challenging class requiring A LOT of time. Karah does all she can to provide you with tools to succeed, including making herself very available. Awesome professor! You just have to ask! What worked for me: RELISTENED to EVERY lecture and hand wrote out a study sheet per topic. Start from day 1! You can do it!

SUMMER WARNING!!! Do NOT take this class over summer!! It is very intensive, it will consume your entire life and then some. Karah is an AMAZING professor, but she is very difficult (sometimes the best profs are the hardest). If you take it over summer be ready to quit your job, and study for an exam every week & 3 back to back exams the last week.

Professor Street is HANDS DOWN the best preofessor I have ever taken a class with. I was terrified of taking Anatomy based on what you hear about how tough the subject can be but Karah gave us EVERY tool we needed to succeed and was ALWAYS available to help if needed. she truly truly cares about the subject and about her students. THE BEST!

Dr. Streets class separates the girls from the Women. The degree of difficulty has improved my determination and by the end of class you know the material well. There will be times in one’s life when you hit a Y in the road, one side being the easier softer way, the other harder but more fulfilling. The choices we make create the person we become.

Everyone listen up. You all should be lining up at this woman’s front door BEGGING to be in her physio class. You will learn so much about your body, and yourself. This class simultaneously destroyed me, and made me stronger as a student. Thank you so much, Karah. I wish I could take you with me to nursing school. You are a phenomenal individual.

Karah is certainly dedicated and very knowledgable. I learned more in this class than I have in all of my other college classes combined. Everyone says it's SO hard, but if you relisten to her lectures, answer all of the questions she posts as the study guide, and go to tutoring, you can get an A! Just don't lose motivation, it takes a lot of work.

This is an amazing class. Amazingly hard, but so amazingly worth it. I started nursing school recently at a prestigious university and I owe all of my current success to her. She literally laid the foundation for all the knowledge I will ever need in my professional life.

Took in summer and not so bad. Yes, we were always busy, but material wasn't too hard. Never read the book, just the lecture notes. Has online lecture recordings to help out.She's nice and I liked her stories, especially in such a long class with so much detail. Take her if you want to actually remember stuff

Karah was hands-down the best professor I've ever had. She tells stories that are entertaining and make concepts easy to remember. The class requires work but she will go above and beyond to help students who put in the effort. She intimidates some people but she truly cares about her students so ask if you need help! She will draw pictures too!

Very challenging and highly interesting course. Karah makes you work hard for your grade. I ended with a high A, but had to put in the hours. Attend weekly tutoring sessions, study a little every night, go to office hours if needed, re listen to her podcasts, she gives you every tool necessary for success. She TRULY cares and wants you to succeed

Amazing professor! I am changing careers and have my masters. Best teacher I have had so far. The material is challenging, but she makes it easy to understand and highly interesting. You have to put in some effort. She gives you all the tools for success. You will leave this class knowledgable and confident about what you know. Had so much fun!

Karah is an amazing lecturer and she really wants the students to succeed. This is a really tough subject, but she kept the lectures interesting.

This was by far the toughest class I have taken yet. It is just a tough subject no matter what. Karah keeps you entertained the whole time but it is still a long day of lectures. She teaches far more in depth than most Physio prof & even though I hated her while studying for my exams I know I will thank her a thousand fold later down the road!

Dr. Street WILL PREPARE YOU so you have an easier time at your professional school. She tells some hilarious and interesting stories, but try to remain focused because she is still lecturing and that material will be in tests!

In a word, Karah Street is exceptional. She is one of the most outstanding teachers I have ever had, and that includes my undergraduate career at UCLA and grad school at an Ivy League university. She clearly breaks down the material for students, is willing to spend countless time and energy explaining concepts and tells wonderful stories.

The most outstanding professor at Saddleback. She tells wonderful and highly instructive stories during lecture will go to hell and back for her students to help them understand something, is generous, kind and intelligent, and will do everything in her power to make you succeed in your chosen careers. She is a credit to the profession of teaching.

kara's class starts before the sun rises but she is a ball of energy and performed and says anything necessary to keep you up. she expects a lot but she is there to help 100%. I highly recommend taking her class. the knowledge she teaches will stay with you throughout your professional career. But its no walk in the park, class is really hard.

I began her class by first listening to all of her podcasts before the class began. I found myself getting rather annoyed with the humor and the stories. That said, she really grew on me. By the time I completed the course, I could not get enough. She is very knowledgeable and prepared me well for nursing school.

She just won "community college teacher of the year". If you are serious about a nursing career, Karah is the teacher for you (If you aren't "pre-nurse", there are easier anatomy teachers). I studied much more than normal for this class, but I also learned more than normal. She will do everything she can to help you get an A, but it takes work!

Karah street is the best professor I've ever had. She is super, crystal clear about what she expects and she helps you. She posts her lectures on podcasts as well to aid you. She explains things so well, I nevr had to question why. She respones to emails asap. I love her.

I love Karah and I think she's the best professor I've ever had so far. She is there for you 100% of the time and even though her tests can be tough, she does put EC on them and you can pass with a really high A- I mean like 98%, if you study hard, read the book, ask her questions. Lectures can be boring but she has stories that make it interesting

Karah taught better than a majority of my lower division science professors at university. The homework and lab simulations she assigns are great preparations for the exams. Her YouTube videos and podcasts also help tremendously. Although she is not the warmest individual you will meet, she loves teaching and aims to guarantee your success.

Karah is a tough cookie. She's sassy and hilarious. She cares deeply about her students and will always help if you're willing to ask. She goes above and beyond for those that show they are trying. This class is the hardest thing I have ever had to go through. Tests are ridiculously hard. But the knowledge you leave with is beyond worth the fight.

Karah honestly cares about her student's success. She may come off as slightly intimidating (just because she's actually the smart individual I've ever met) but she answers questions clearly & really wants to make sure students understand difficult concepts. She does everything in her power to make sure her students do well. Take her!!

I took this class 2 years ago and can't say enough about how wonderful a professor she was, probably the best I've ever had. I'm now getting my master's in OT and have flashbacks of Dr. Street's lectures, songs, and demonstrations whenever we cover anything physiology related. Challenging material and course, but no one teaches it better than her!

Well Well Well Karah is an interesting teacher. She teaches the anatomy material well because she understands it well. Her Tests are Unpredictable meaning sometimes there from the homework packet and sometimes there not or she words it differently. Grades are WEIGHED. 7 Lecture Test and 4 Lab; 1 Written, 2 Half Multiple Choice/Half Fill In....

Karah is an amazing professor! I learned so much from her class. It is hard and requires a lot of time and memorization, but it's so worth it! Form a study group with others who want to do well, study hard, DO the hw packet and study guides, and make sure you have time to dedicate to this class. I'm so thankful I was able to take it with her!

One of the best teachers I've ever had in college from the perspective of being there for her students. Tough course work but know that you'll be more prepared than any other student who took the same course at a different college or instructor. Would not hesitate to take another class from her. I'll be in Pathophysiology this fall and can't wait!

Karah was an amazing professor for Physiology. Course is extremely tough. Study ahead of time and make sure you are fully prepared for all lecture Exams and Lab exams. Use the tutors that are there for you! They are very helpful as well. Go to her office hours. If you show her you care she will care! I loved this class! But im sure glad to be done!

Karah is amazing! Not the easiest class, but she gives you all the materials to strive. Just make sure you study! She really cares about her students and is willing to help anyone out. She hates it when people do not show up to class, but she doesn't mind those who walk in late. Her tests are based on the homework so make sure to study that.

I took professor Street's physiology class back in 2009 and her class is one of the reasons why I still remember anything at all as I go through my graduate program for nurse practitioner. You work for your grade, but what you learn really stays with you because she is such a fantastic lecturer. One of the best professors I have ever had.

Oh Kara.. well to start, I thought I was going to crash and burn after her first exam. I did really well in Anatomy and thought this class wouldn't be any different, but I was so wrong. Kara REALLY cares about the students, but she will make you fight for your grade. To pass: REVIEW HW PACKETS! GO TO TUTORS! and you will be fine. She's amazing!

I took this class over summer and I loved it! Karah is an amazing professor that truly cares about her students. She has her lectures recorded, a youtube channel, so many tutors, and even gives you her phone number to text her if you have questions. She comes up with great stories and funny ways to remember things that really work! Take this class!

I enjoy tutoring human physiology and I don't think I would do it as well as I do currently if she was not my professor. Karah is generally available for questions both inside and outside school hours by phone or email. She shows a great deal of respect for her instructional support staff and her students admire her unique disposition.

Hard class but Karah is an amazing prof! 4 lecture tests, 2 lab exams, 2 mini lab exams, 1 or 2 quizzes, 1 final and a whole lot of studying! Study groups, helpful tutors, and endless hours of studying helped me to earn an A+ in this class. This has been one of my favorite classes ever with one of my favorite professors ever! Give it your best!

The massive amount of material in this class is poorly organized. Essentially she assumes you already know where everything is in the body. Rather than teaching structure (i.e. anatomy) she only teaches function (i.e. physiology). Despite this, I respect her intelligence and ability immensely, and she is a wonderful person to be around.

Obviously Physiology is not easy, but professor Karah makes the material so interesting to grasp. This is not an easy class, but if you try you will learn a lot and will not have to worry about the material later in graduate or undergraduate school. Take her, the best professor in saddleback. I will take her for Patho as well.

I took Karah for Physiology and am currently taking her for Pathophysiology. She's very knowledgeable which makes lectures fun since she is able to add interesting details into the content. Physiology is a very difficult class but she does a great job breaking down the materials and makes them relatable. I also recommend taking Pathophys with her!

Best class I've ever taken. Real funny lectures - she makes the material interesting! The tutors will carry you through the course - do not expect to understand everything just from lecture. I did not see my fam/friends during the course b/c physio was all I did EVERYDAY - ALLDAY! Karah is VERY sassy but just wants you to push yourself & succeed.

I cannot say enough good things about Karah. She makes anatomy interesting instead of just memorization. You have to work for your grade but she lets you know exactly what will be tested on. There is no wondering what will be on the test. Hilarious teacher who CARES about her students. Her hw packets are old tests and some parts appear on tests!

She cares about her students & works to make sure you understand the material. She will often explain concepts in multiple ways so everyone completely understands. Her tests are basically the HW packets. Physio is a VERY difficult class but she makes it bearable. Go over lectures w/recordings. Phys took over my life but it was worth it.

Physio is an EXTREMELY hard class but Karah will help you a lot. She tells you exactly what she expects and what you need to study for. She wants you to participate. All her lectures are recorded for you but SKIPPING CLASS WILL HURT YOU. The class is very straightforward but requires a crazy amount of time so be ready for the commitment.

Karah is an amazing professor. She gives you every opportunity to succeed and expects your best efforts. She gives plenty of Extra credit (5% built into every exam). Apply yourself and you'll do well. Definitely the best professor I've ever had by far! Gets you excited about the subject.

Best physio prof in the world! You will learn so much from her. She is fair and expects you to give her your best because she gives her best to you! You will not be disappointed. If you are not serious or don't care about learning, don't take this class. It is not for you.

One of THE best professors I have ever had the pleasure of learning from. She's funny, kind, and very knowledgeable. She makes the course matter fun to learn, and evidently cares about her students. I've never known anyone who advocates for their students the way she does. The class itself was challenging, but she taught it very well.

She is really a great professor! I had her for Lab and she was terrific. She gives great examples that you will understand which makes it a lot easier. She will wake you up in the mornings because of her enthusiastic energy! Loved her!

Homework packets are due the day before the test... Make your life easier and go to the tutors at the LRC. Also, Karah provides recordings of her lectures as well as Youtube videos. USE THEM. The first test is the hardest but they get better from there! Don't be intimidated. Lastly, don't take another hard class with this one. It will be too much.

Karah is a professor who has truly changed my perspective about teaching. Her class was incredible difficult but I can not say enough of how amazing of a professor she is. She is by far the smartest human being I have met. People complain about how hard her tests are but if you ask her she will help you. She makes you THINK and UNDERSTAND.

I absolutely loved taking physio with Kara. Yes, it is a super difficult class by nature, but she offers extra credit and will make sure you are prepared for a career in healthcare. Her lectures are interesting and engaging. Tutors are very helpful. This class will require a ton of outside studying, but its so worth it.

Karah is a captivating instructor with her breadth of knowledge, attention to detail and engaging personality. Patho springboards from her Physio instruction but in far greater detail. Her selected lecture topics and tests were immensely helpful in preparing me for nursing school. I am grateful that she was my instructor and I recommend her HIGHLY.

4 exams. 1 accumulative. 2 lab exams. Roughly studying 25-35 hours per week. H/w packages of 20-30 pages. Lab workbook + Lab physioEx assingments in which should NEVER postpone till last minute to complete. Time management is KEY. Many students were repeating the course due to not taking the class seriously.

Amazing professor. This class is very taxing, a lot of information to cover in such a short time. Karah does her best to keep you interested in the material. It is obvious that she enjoys both the subject and teaching. Word of wisdom: Do not take this class casually. It is exceedingly difficult, but interesting. Good luck!

Karah Street comes off tough at first but she is one of the most caring and compassionate teachers I have had the pleasure of taking. She keeps her lectures entertaining and is ALWAYS there for help, just ask. Focus on your homework packets, ask questions, interact in class, and go to tutoring. If you do these things you will pass this class.

I LOVE KARA. Okay anyone who says anything bad about Kara doesnt understand life. You will never find a professor who cares the way she does. Kara is hilarious and makes the lectures so entertaining and actually makes me want to learn. She gives out hw packets that save you. I took Kara last semester and she made me fall in love with anatomy.

Karah is the best professor I have had. She's tough but she really knows her stuff. if you expect to go to class and do what you've done before you wont do well. you have to change how you study for this class. She's a great teacher and she really makes you work for you grade, it will make you a better student she prepares you for future classes.

This is class extremely time-consuming. Karah gives you everything you need to do well in the class. Pay attention during lecture and spend all of your time studying! Tutoring helps a lot and allows you to get study material from students in other classes.

Just some tips, pay attention to your homework, keep up with the lectures, and do not miss lab or use lab time poorly.

Anatomy will be hard no matter what but you can definitely get an A in her class as long as you do your work. Form study groups. Her anatomy class has a mix of Physiology as well to prepare you for it. Gives LOTS of extra credit. I know a few in my class who got As. Go to LRC and talk to former students to get some notes from them as well.

I took her class during COVID. I actually wish that I was able to have her normal lectures, because it was clear from her videos that she's really good at explaining the material and she's super smart. The online format certainly made it easier, but I feel like I would have learned more if it was a normal class. I could tell that she really cares.

Professor Street is awesome. She is so engaging and really makes you want to learn. Her lectures are fun and interesting. There is never one thing on a test that you didn't have from homework or quizzes. She really tries to help her students understand and ultimately get a good grade. She's tough, but you will definitely benefit from her class.

The 6-week summer online patho course was intense but straightforward. Your grade is based off of solely quizzes and exams which are open notes and open book. Just watch her lecture videos, use the provided study guides, and prepare exam essays (she gives you the questions in advance). More professors should base their courses like her.

Prof. Street is a great lecturer, really smart, and very passionate about teaching. I took her summer pathophysio classes and watching her recorded lectures made me wish my class with her was in-person. She is one of the best teachers I've ever had.

I loved Professor street! She is very enthusiastic about what she teaches. Extra credit opportunity on every test. Lecture heavy and every exam is worth 10%, but once you find out how the exams are set up, class becomes a breeze. Definitely recommend taking her for anatomy

I am in Nursing School and I took her class during the Fall2018. If you cannot handle her class, the stress, the many hours of studying then you are not ready for nursing school. She literally prepares you to succeed. Because of her I have succeeded in Med-Surge while other students were struggling.

2nd part: Not sure if it's still the same but she gave h/w packages which are practice questions. Study those b/c they will help you prepare for her exams. Many of those questions are like nursing questions so she prepares you for nursing school. Go into the book to look up additional information you do not understand. Focus on her slides, concepts

3rd: Learn what is your study technique before starting nursing school. Be prepared to be in very high levels of stress, little sleep, mental breakdowns, 12 hours of studying a day and almost no support from professors. Really understand your concepts otherwise you will struggle in nursing school like many of my colleagues did and some did not pass

4th: I am not trying to put you down but nursing school is no joke. I am giving you feedback from my experience, classmates, other nursing students from different schools, nurses & nursing instructors who once went through what we did. Learn to have a balance life that way you won't be too stress, its inevitable not being stressed

5th: I read the negative comments below. In nursing school, you will not have any support from the professors, can't ask questions b/c they'll be snobby/rude & they expect you to educate yourself. There will be very little who actually want to help you but don't expect every professor be that way. See this as an obstacle; overcome = success

6th: Being an A student will not matter in nursing school, dropping out b/c a professor is rude than you are in the wrong field of industry & a soon awakening. Ive meet many nursing students + nurses who their school started off with 300 RN students/40 students a semester and ended up with 150 RN students (in debt)/15 RN students

I had Karah for Anatomy and Physio; she cares about her students and makes the effort to get to know you. Her lecture material is all on youtube and her videos are great. I did take her summer physio and it was alot of information in such a short time, definitely recommend taking the 16wk course, but if you can, try to get into her classes!

Karah street was the professor who made me believe I could be a nurse when I had previously felt it was too difficult. She is genuine and kind. She does have standards and expects her students to rise to her expectations. You will get back what you put in. I would take any class she offered.
