Loved this class! Took it fall freshman year and thought if all classes were like it, I was going to love college. She's fun and teaches really well.

ATTENTION NURSING STUDENTS!!! Take stats with Brakenridge. I didn't take stats in High School, I was completely clueless and I got a B. It's not that she's easy, it's just that she is very clear.... I walked out of that class understanding stats!

Brackenridge is by far the best math teacher I've ever had! She made things very clear and fun (and I usually struggle with math). She will help you do well. She's such a sweet person; make sure you take her for math!

She is very nice and very clear! If you arn't the best at math, then she is a gift. Always willing to work with students and very friendly. Tests arn't too hard and I learned a lot! She makes the class fun too!! Not a lot of HW either:)

Great Prof. Very helpful, takes a hard class and makes it understandable and fun. She will go out of her way to help. Good Tests! Offer's lots of opportunities for extra credit. If you have trouble with Math, then she is your teacher.

If you are math phobic, Karen is the teacher for you. She is so friendly and helpful that you cant help but like her. She explains things as often as necessary to understand. lots of opp. for extra credit, do all the assignments, they add up!! take karen!

I received an A in her class... all you have to do is do the assigned homework and the tests pretty much come from that! Shes a great teacher!

Karen is really nice, but her test are brutal. It's her way or no way. More than half the class failed her first test and she blamed us and told us that we needed to re-evaluate ourselves. Lectures are hard to follow. Does give extra credit though

She is a very kind and generous professor. While not always clear on assignments, she will definitely try to help you understand if you approach her for help. I struggled immensely with statistics but I am very glad that she taught the class I took.

she is always available for questions so dont hesitate to ask. shes very nice and determined to making sure everyone understands. tests can be hard but the department makes them not her so study! and get help if you need it...its worth it!

The first math class I have ever received an A in my whole academic life. Tough class, but Mrs. Brackenridge really works hard to make sure you understand the material. Very pertinent material as well, so it's something you can use in the future. Definitely recommend!

She's awesome! If you have difficulty with MTH take her. She will do her best to make sure you understand. She gives Xtra credit regularly....unless you don't show, or don't try,....you will do well!

I redefine what horrible is when it comes to math but was actully able to do pretty well in this class. She is extremely nice and helpful. And gives plenty of oppurtunities for extra credit.

Personally, i find the class to be dreadfully easy. She made it even easier, tho. she offers generous extra credit and is absolutely wonderful when it comes to help. great, great, great teacher but to some poeple - stats is just plain hard.

She's a great teacher and always gives extra credit. Come to class and you'll be fine. Homework usually just for practice and all graded work done in class.

This class was hard, but she explained the material well. The homework is not mandatory, but doing it really helps. She was willing to give extra help.

This professor was very nice and helpful. Her homework was fun and easy. Test given in class was a bit hard but you should get an easy A if you listen in class and come every time :)

I was absolutely sure that this class was going to be horrible and I wouldn't understand anything, but her teaching methods are really strong, and I went from thinking I would get an F to getting an A. I would definitely suggest you take Karen as your stats 160 teacher.

Karen is the sweetest teacher ever! she makes sure you understand anything she's teaching you..her instructions are easy to understand. she gives out lots of extra credit opportunities as well. she gives out homework, but doesn't check it so it's not necessary to do. her tests are indeed handwritten but if you pay attention you're good.

Mrs. Brackenridge is a really nice lady and a great teacher. I took stats in high school, so this class was easy for me, but she does explain the material thoroughly and is very helpful. Class isn't mandatory (no attendance or due homework), but labs are (10 pts each). Her tests were typed for my class. Definitely recommend her!

Karen is a very sweet teacher, she won't fail you unless you absolutely need to be failed she's very flexible, she dosent collect homework, and she gives extra credit.

I read people's reviews before I took her and boy I'm I glad I took her. She is without a doubt the nicest person I've ever met. She is every helpful and she is always in a good mood ( even Mondays ). Best math teacher at wsu and should never have an empty seat in her class.

I signed up for the class before the teachers were announced and was fortunate enough to get her. I haven't had algebra since 2009 and I was still able to succeed in her class. She is always willing to work with you no matter how far behind you are. If you can take her, take her!!

Karen is amazing! She explains math very well and she is always there to help you if you don't understand. She gives out a ton of extra credit and the homework is for more practice. If you need a math and she teaches it, take her!! You do need the book for this course!

The first time I took Calculus, I got an F. I got an A in Karen's class. She explains things thoroughly and genuinely cares about her students. There was a ton of (easy) extra credit. Even though the majority of us will never use Calculus in our careers, Karen makes it clear enough that we could someday. I would take her for any class, anytime.

Gives great study guides. She is super sweet and gives a lot of extra credit. She is there to help you when you need it, but can be confusing when she is explaining some things.

Calculus is hard but Karen makes it a lot easier. Go to class, do at least some of the homework problems (not graded), and do more problems before each test. She is very nice with office hours and does a great job of explaining things. My only problem with her is that she can be a little fast paced in class.

She is the most caring teacher I think I have ever had. She will try to help out as much as possible. Her class is very low-stress if you take the time and do the work. She even said that if you're working hard and is a couple points off from the grade you want, she will bump you up. She also gives TONS of extra credit!

Amazing professor! She really cares about what she is teaching. Good at connecting stats to real life. If you miss class, you will fall behind. Homework is not graded but is important to do to be able to understand. She is willing to help. She cares about you and your education. She makes class enjoyable.

She loves Stats. There is a chance for 1 point of extra credit almost every single class. she is so good at teaching this subject. She makes sure the students understand it and good at answering questions. She is a caring and kind woman who cares about her students. Homework is not mandatory, but used for review. books are used for the homework

Karen has an amazing personality and a really nice woman. She gives many opportunities for extra credit and her labs are easy points. The only complaint I have is that her notes tend to be a little scattered on the board and can be difficult to follow. If you go to class and make an effort she will do anything to make sure you pass her class.

Professor Brackenridge was such an amazing person AND teacher!!! She's incredibly approachable and will go the extra mile to help her students both in and out of class. I've noticed that all of the students that claim to not like her are the ones that either don't give effort or don't show up to class. She goes over EVERYTHING in class so just go!

Karen is a super nice woman. The class is alright (math is not my strong suit), but you only get like 1-3 questions for homework out of the textbook. The textbook is included in your tuition so it's online. Class can be super fun! only a couple of tests. i would take this class again if it wasn't stats!

I actually appreciated Professor Brackenridge over the course of the semester. She was very thorough, sometimes too much so it would get confusing, but once youve got the foundation, it tends to build on itself. Shes funny but grounded and wants you to succeed, always looking for feedback and critiques to better help and I loved Pringles Days!

Karen was great ! I loved her class. The class had 4 exams worth 80% of your grade then labs and hw for other 20%. She curves all tests and offers extra credit. She truly cares about her students and wants you to succeed. Take her!

Really funny, maths not my favorite class but she made it enjoyable. Only complaint is that Pilot is set up kind of confusingly, but otherwise a solid professor. I didnt always attend class as much as I should, so make sure you do or it will hurt your grade. Easy class, nothing too bad. Her tests were pretty fair and mostly off of her lectures.

I was scared to take statistics but she teaches very well. Sometimes her test can be difficult and be very different from what she teaches. She teaches in a way you can understand the material and apply it. Give practice problems as homework which is very helpful. Gives so much extra credit. Labs are very easy

Karen is absolutely wonderful as a person and prof! As long as you go to class and pay attention, you'll pass. She gives extra credit often and the labs are easy (she allows 2 drops). The tests aren't bad and she prepares you well (clear rubrics). You don't need to stress like crazy over this class! Just apply yourself and you'll be golden.

She did a really great job explaining concepts and answering any questions; her lectures were really clear and the homework she assigned lined up well with the questions she chose for her quizzes and exams.

MTH 2240 Applied Calculus: She immediately stuck out to me as a professor who genuinely cared about her students. She lectures nearly every day, so come to class prepared to take notes. Practice problems are assigned daily, it is in your best interest to do these problems. The syllabus clearly the layout of the course from day one.

Karen loves what she does and that's very evident in her teaching. I loved her and wish I could take her to every math going forward. There are so many extra credit opportunities, the last thing she wants to see you do is to fail! Take her class if you're looking for a class where the professor cares

You have to attend the lectures unless you'll be loss. She does use the textbook but only for homework. She gives extra credit in class if you're there. She does explain things very well but sometimes it can be too much, and you'll get confused. But just stick to the main points. Do homework after class because it will help.

I absolutely love her. Shes a wonderful professor who is really passionate and cares about what she does. She does assign a lot of homework, but that homework is so important. If you do the homework and attend class you should be fine. She was a pleasure to have and i hope to have her again.

Karen is the SWEETEST math professor I have ever had in my life. She is kind, considerate, and sincerely cares about her student's success. She also gives you guys a TON of extra credit. However, you must attend class and study if you want to pass because her exams are much different than the material we did in class.

Karen is a very nice lady who enjoys teaching and talking with her students. However, you have to study as hard as you can and attend every class to pass statistics. The classwork she gave us was very easy, but the exam questions were highly different. So prepare yourself.

She is AWESOME!! You can tell she enjoys her job and is very into the material she is teaching. One of the biggest things with her class is showing up every day and taking notes. She does multiple practice problems in class, which makes it easy to do the homework. Fairly generous grader. Not a hard class to pass if you show up and ask questions!

I absolutely excel at algebra. I love it extremely and got A+++ in all my high school classes. But for some reason this class was difficult for me? And i'm pretty sure it was how she taught because 75% of the class did poorly. She's wonderful though and gives extra credit for just showing up to class on random days.

Karen is a wonderful professor who loves teaching. Her weekly labs, assigned homework, and class work are super easy. However you can't skip class because her exams are super difficult and highly different than the classwork. I highly don't recommend skipping. Not even once.

Karen was a sweet professor. Despite her class and exams, being super difficult, I still enjoyed getting to know her. Congratulations Karen on your retirement you will be missed.
