Professor Buckman is so awesome! She's very enthusiastic and helpful. Her class was a blast, her tests were straight forward, and the material is really interesting. She inspired my major - Psychology!

Buckman was a wonderful prof. She made the class so interesting, it was fun to listen to her. She was very thorough, she covered everything you needed to know. I was so interested in Psychology after taking two of her classes I thought about going into that field professionally.

This professor obviously knows her subject and her students benefit from that knowledge. As far as text book use, I would reccomend the text book because there is test material that is only mentioned in the book.

GREAT TEACHER! if you listen and class and go over all your notes you will get an A on every test! she makes everything very interesting and fun to learn. She is the type of teacher that if something is going to be on the test she will repeat it more than once to give you the hint.

You must attend every class or she will deduct points. Her assignments are fairly easy except the psycholgy in the news. Turn your assignments in on time and with her their is no make-ups on the final. Her exams start off pretty easy and get harder, because of the wording-- READ THE TEST CAREFULLY!!!!!!!!!

Be in class. Not a problem because she is a great teacher. Tests on notes. Alot of little papers that are easy but turn them in on time. Test reviews are right on. Highly recommended!!!

Mrs. Buckman is amazing! At first you think shes a little over the top but you end up loving it! You remember things because of it! I enjoyed every minute of this class. I took it as a minimester. If you arent prepared to study for 2 tests a week..dont take it! Still great class!

She is wonderful, She helped me get into the Honors Society, I made an A in her class and have been making A's ever since, she gives you great ways to remember things and really teaches the class, its not alot of reading and testing, its alot of interaction! She Great!!

I took lifespan with Mrs. Buckman this summer and she's just the greatest! I would highly recommend her for any or all Psych classes. She's very clear, lectures are organized and if you attend class regularly you will be prepared for any of her tests. I wish more teachers could be like her!

Mrs. Buckman is simply the best! Her lectures are organized and very clear. She encourages class participation & there are several critical thinking assignments which are extremely easy. There were 5 exams and 1 research paper. She knows her stuff and she truly cares about her students! I strongly recommend her, you will not regret taking her!

There is no reason not to take her. She is a great teacher. This is one of those classes where you take the test and actually know the information. Recommended for everyone.

She was great teacher. Made class interesting. Had tons of good energy. If you listen and participate its an easy A. She does a test review the class before the test, if you can write fast then write down everything she says, or record it then you will def make an A. Also her final is just another test. It's not an accumulative final.

AMAZING TEACHER! Super helpful, wants you to make an A in her class. Very energetic and fun classroom environment to be in. Teaches in several different ways to ensure everyone understands, has no problem creating fun class discussions. Tests are fact based and easy even if you haven't studied up to par. They are designed so you can pass. Awesome!

If you have to take psychology for a degree or even as an elective, TAKE her class. Keeps you interested and stays on track. BEST teacher ever. Easy Class although there are very few assignments. You get 10 critical thinkings worth 5 points, 5 tests each worth 60 points, and a 40 point paper. Always made notes easy to understand. Write down everything from powerpoints and what she says and thats what is on the tests. VERY EASY.

Absolutely great teacher! I took her after reading these reviews and I'm really glad I did. Very fair and honest. If you make good notes, you don't even need the book. All her tests are multiple choice with 3-5 short essays, but really to the point. She is very clear on what she wants and she has definitively LOTS of knowledge. She is the BEST!!!

Ms. karen buckman is the best teacher i ever had. I took her late start class was worried at first but she made is so easy for everyone. she explains everything very clearly. i loved her. if you need psyc class i would highly recommend to take her. If you study it very easy to make A in her class. She also really care about her students.

I never used my textbook after the first exam. Attendance matters to your grade, and even if you are tardy she still marks points off. So show up, take notes during lecture, and copy ALL of her pptx. slides word-for-word, and simply use that to study. She goes through lecture really fast, but goes back to clarify later. HIGH energy, but loved it.

I took Mrs. Buckman's General Psychology class as an 8-week course. I was expecting the class to be tough since it was rushed, but Mrs. Buckman made sure we knew our material. For exams, she does an exam review the day before. She also gives out candy on test days! Her lectures are interesting, she's hilarious, and it's an interactive class.

Professor Buckman is amazing! She clearly explains and gives great examples. She teaches by PowerPoint which makes taking notes super easy. She actually teaches, not just reads off the monitor. she is a sweet professor, her class is adorable and so much fun. you have to work with groups and read and do homework. you will have 4 test with review sheet for each one of them. her tests are not hard but reasonable, 4 writing questions with 32 multiple choice. so she is a cool teacher and I really enjoyed with her amazing class, so chose her ;)

I learned so much from this class, and all of it was interesting. There isn't a heavy work load in this class and Professor Buckmen gives really entertaining lectures. I will definitely be looking into taking more psychology class from her in the future.

Dr. Buckman was pretty amazing. She's funny, she tells great stories that are easy to understand, too. There were these great group projects that really tested my knowledge of riddles and puzzle-solving. I don't pay very much attention in my classes, but she really held my attention. Her excitement and energy is contagious. So have fun with her!

K. Buckman is awesome! One of the best. Her lectures are so clear and she makes things easy to understand. I would recommend taking notes because it would really help you on the test. She is very relaxed about late stuff, as long as your assignments are done well. The book is not necessary to pass this class. 10/10 would take again

She's Amazing, Hilarious and passionate about psychology. there is not homework just critical thinking which are easy and fun. 2 papers, 1 is a biography about a famous psychology, 2 is a journal article report. she tells you since day one so you'll have plenty of time to do it and get extra 5 pts if you turn them early. easy exams, and take notes!

My favorite tacher I have had at LoneStar. She is phenomenal at her job, if you take notes and study a bit before the exam there is a very good chance you will make an A. Her lectures are so entertaining and I looked forward to coming to this class every Mon and Wed. She repeats things that will be on the tests and her notes are very clear!

She's an alright professor, she gives out long lectures and she doesn't put the notes online. We had 5-6 tests over every chapter, one was a take home test. She gives us extra credit and she also gives us activities to do outside of class which is pretty fun. I had an early morning class and wish I would've taken a later class. & show up to class!

6 fairly easy exams, one of which is a take home test most semesters, 50 points each. 10+ critical thinkings, which are brief writing assignments, or fun quizzes, 50 points total. A Famous Psychologist Paper, where you research and write about a psychologist you claim at the start of the semester, 50 points. Attendance is 50 points total.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE DR. BUCKMAN!!!! She is crazy, but thats what makes her awesome! You definitely need to pay attention to her lectures. She repeats definitions of things that will be on the test! As far as reading the book, just read the summaries at the end of each chapter because they discuss the main things shes looking for.

Oh Karen Buckman!!! she's my most favorite professor in my entire college career! Just do the assignements and you'll be good! She is very caring and her lectures are incredible! shes the professor that makes you want to go to your 8am class! (I had her at 8:35) She makes psych very fun and captivating.
