I had to take this as a freshman intro class, and it was my hardest class. The readings are extremely time-consuming and can be up to 5 each week. The lectures are just talking through slides, and you are graded on notes. Unless this class is related to your major, I do not recommend taking it.

Overall I learned some really interesting things in this class HOWEVER, this is extremely heavy on readings (20-40 pages) for 5 question pop quizzes. She also doesn't believe in making incorrect answer choices so all the choices could be right but only one is actually right, these were my down fall. Weekly breakout sessions.

The class was quite boring and the professor taught mainly from PowerPoints that were not uploaded to Canvas. She requires her students to take in-class notes in groups which are then later graded. LOTS of outside reading and pop quizzes this professor also uses packback weekly. I would not recommend it but it's not overly hard.

More difficult and time-consuming than my regular classes. Boring lectures and 40+ page readings given every week with occasional random quizzes that were difficult to do well on. Slides were never uploaded to Canvas despite grading us on our class notes. Weekly breakout sessions on Fridays that didn't help much. Wouldn't recommend to anyone ever.

Not a very good teacher, her lectures were boring and confusing, if you miss one reading you are screwed. Readings are super lengthy and boring, her quizzes were confusing and if you didnt read the reading intensely the questions wont make sense

Dr. Flint gives different readings every week that are ~9 pages long and they are very boring. There are some pop quizzes every now and then, so it's better if you show up to class. There is also group work and study groups that meet on certain days. Overall, it's harder to fail than it is to pass, but I personally strongly disliked the class.

There were extensive reading assignments each week, sometimes an entire text of 40 pages but no less than 15. While I didn't mind the reading itself, the assessments felt mismatched. The tests were only three questions, and in some cases, they honed in on small details that you could miss unless you thoroughly understood the reading.
