Gunn makes class fun and interesting. I really like the fact that she makes you participate and get to know the other students through class projects. In my class, she doesn't have tests, but the graded assignments are hard.

The class is easy if you attend and read the book. The book is pricey - $60 - $80. But the teacher is awsome. She is organized and fun. She knows how to make you not want to sleep in the class. I took an evening class and never left earlier. No tests!

Dr. Gunn is a part of SMC, they even put her picture on top of the web page. Awesome prof! Funny, engaging, knowledgable. She teaches in a nontraditional method that uses groups a lot, but it works. Class isn't too hard and you'll look forward to it.

Look, I took psych in a regular class and i HATED it. I struggled and eventually took a W. BUT Dr. gunn made it so fun i love it and her class. I love her grading system and her exmples. She loves to interact w/ Students!! MUST TAKE!

Her midterms and final cumlative is hard no quizess at all. four class activity paper and two criqtiues. strict on people getting lazy..wants you to learn..best in deparment everone else sucks. i loved writting papers for the class...group work/discussion

Wonderful Prof. Give midterm and final. Today I took the final and it was harder than the midterm. However,she is extremely helpful, energetic. If u are coming out of high school take her-u wont regret it.oh u do projects which are fun and worth 100pts.

She is a great teacher! I was only able to take half the class but she is cool and really cares about her students. She can seem a little unaproachable but that is just a front and once you get over that she is an awesome teacher. She tells many jokes in class and makes psychology very interesting.

"SHE IS THE BOMB!" She is such an incredible teacher that everyone should take her class. She is so hilarious that no one could ever fall asleep in her class. Though everyone has to study hard at home for exams, she teaches in class in an interesting way that everyone would understand the basics.

Dr. Gunn is an excellent teacher. Her class is a little harder but very funny with her jokes. She likes to encourage all of her students and help them with some x-credit. I wish she could be my only instructor for the rest or my study life as a psychology major. Take her you won't regret!!!!.

Dr. Gunn is an excellent psychology teacher. You will get a good grade in her class if you do the reading (a lot), study it, and the assignments. Just don't expect this class to be an easy A.

GREAT TEACHER!!! She rocks. Even if you're not interested in Psych she still keeps u laughing and interested throughout class. Tests are slightly hard but that's psych for ya. It can't possibly get easier in ANY other psych class.

i was skyptical of who to take then i heard from my freind take her she is the best...and she really is the far by the best for psych one...two test that are not to heavily weighted..a final and four assigments that are way worth more then her test and fnal..got a b because of my last paper was late

Gunn is so fine! She is not only the nicest, but she always gets her points across in an entertaining way. I am taking her in the mornings, and I love me some hot coffee if you know what I mean. Definitely take her.

Gunn is by far the best teacher ive ever had.. she gives out a lot of activities which are basicly free points.. her tests arent very easy but if you study and read the book you will do well. A very charismatic teacher. Her lectures are fun, however, to do well on tests you have to read the book. Her writing and class assignments aren't hard at all, so just do the reading and enjoy her lectures to do well.

I am also a Psych major and this is the best Intro to Psychology class I could have ever hoped to find. She is funny, smart and attentive to her students' needs. Anyone who has a problem with her teaching style needs to get a life and lighten up. She is a true gem.

Dr. Gunn has been the best professor I've had yet. She is real laid back and will help you if you need it. As long as you read the book and the study guide, its an easy A. She makes you wanna get involved in the class even your not at the begining. Take Her!!!!!!!

this class was one of the dopest classes ever, Dr. Gunn is an awesome educator, person, keeps students interested, i had the class 8am sharp and i still looked forward to going to it. I took the first-ever online class offered. It's best for those who work well independently. No lectures, so heavy use of text, but you can easily get by using an older edition. There are a lot of assignments, but it's easy to keep up & even work ahead so you have longer breaks btw due dates. Recommended highly if you are adept at self-study.

After exploring so many diff majors and being undecided, I decided to major in Psych after taking her class. At 1st I was intimidated by da subj but she had great, relevant, humorous lectures. She may seem intimidating but she does her job well! Tests are a little challenging, but put in all ur effort and an "A" isn't impossible!

She is a little disorganized online, and has a tough time using all the features on the online site, but I took a class with her in school and she was amazing. Even though it was tough online she was still understanding and gave extra time for all assignments. I would deff recommend her. She has a great sense of humour. Exams are right out of book.

Took her online, I am not sure why some people are saying she is unorganized, although she was a little slow to grade things she seems to always be on top of things. However, she does treat students like adults that are accountable for their own grade and perhaps that was the problem for some students. She won't hold you hand through everything.

Took her online class. She was a no-nonsense kind of a teacher. All you have to do is keep up with the reading, complete all assignments by the due dates, write several papers and respond to discussion threads. Seriously, if you can't handle this class, then I have no words. You can't just show up to class and expect an A. Do your part!

Took online. She is very organized and clear with what she expects from you. Fairly easy course but college level thinking is required to earn the most points. Got an A and missed a couple assignments and there is 1 extra credit option. Flow is a bit weird sometimes- a lot of work some weeks / waiting around for work others. Be prepared for that.

She's a nice lady and knows what she is talking about.Lectures are partially complete,you have to fill in some blanks reading,which I thought was kind of weak.Quizzes are easy,so are tests.I wouldn't take this specific class if your not interested in the subject because I think you have to read the book a lot.Gives some extra credit

TAKE THIS CLASS! Dr. Gunn is amazing and hilarious. She is so down to earth and explains everything. Lots of class participation and extra credit opportunities. She expects you to do the reading and bases her tests and quizzes on them..so READ and you will pass. Applying what you have learned on the tests can be tricky, but she is lenient

I took this course online and while there was a lot of material to read, the exams come for the textbook information. When I sent emails she did respond within 2 days. This is a college level course and you are in college so work will be needed. Great class and great professor.

Took online.For the most part I actually enjoyed the class.Not too difficult to get an A.Just do all the work (fairly simple and straight-forward) and she'll probably give you most to all of the possible points for the assignment.Exams are basic.I had a problem with the way she responded to some students on the virtual office though.Comes off rude.

"Read the syllabus, that's why I posted it the first week of class" (as opposed to "I actually explained that in the syllabus")

I just took Psych 1 class online. I earned 994/1000 pts. I loved this class. It is the easiest A ever if you keep track of the assignments and READ THE SYLLABUS. Students below have said she was rude, but really.....people asked stupid questions that had answers already posted. Don't be redundant and she won't get annoyed. Simple!

What a wonderful online professor! She offers practice quizzes to help prepare you for the midterm and final. The assignments and discussion threads are though-provoking. She is quite particular about posting early in discussions - so my advice is read her syllabus to understand all her requirements. Do the work and it's an easy A.

Very down-to-earth person who clearly loves teaching. Her use of effective communication helps encourage the concept of the class in a very relevant way. You will definitely learn about yourself in this class. Awesome woman! As long as you understand the concepts in the book, do the journals, and participate in class assignments you should be fine.

If you want to take Psych5, make sure to take her class. She knows how to create the atmosphere and make the class be more interesting. I also love her group project and class discussion. She knows the strategies to teach the students. She is not a hard grader either. If she also teaches different psych class, I'll definitely select her section.
