I LOVE Ms. K. I wish I could take her next semester. I can't with my work schedule. She grades fairly then gives students lots of extra credit. I am not a good writer so I still got a good grade. She gets annoyed when students repeat a question that has already been answered 3 times so I don't suggest doing that.

This class was much easier with this Prof than the first one I took. She allows some late work. She helps before you turn in work to be graded. Her assignments allow some choice of topics. She does give extra credit.

I LOVED this class. You will read and write on lots of topics. I like that students pick paper topics. My writing improved.

This class is a lot of reading and writing. I suggest taking this during a semester when you are taking easy classes. It will take up a lot of your time. My writing was ok in this class but I did all the extra credit and it brought my grade up

My final project was on something I had been wanting to read about for a long time. I hope the rest of the NOVA profs are half as good as her and I might just get my degree after all.

She says that students have to write their own papers and she wrote her own papers when she was a student. She only gives "guiding remarks". wish I took 112 with her. Professor K's ENG111 class is well-organized and challenging, with lots of writing assignments. However, the helpful feedback and engaging class discussions make it worthwhile. I found tools she shared really useful for study prep alongside the textbook.

I like this class. It was a lot of work but not hard work. You have to read and write a lot.

The class has a lot of reading and writing. It moves pretty fast which surprised me. I thought it would be a slower moving class. I was able to keep up but had to use the writing center lots also for extra help.

I really recommend this professor if you really want to learn. she give homework and test quiz it's gana help you to reading writing etc. she is the best professor.

I work and take classes. She understands students with busy lives and has a class that is ready for busy students.

There's a ton of homework. It is also pretty hard. I didn't think I needed the class. NOVA forced me to take the class. I did much better and learned more with this class. I suggest it not just for those that have to but also to those that only place into ENG 111. My final grade was much better than my friends in ENG 111. I can transfer now!

This class was much harder than I was expecting. The writing assignments are long. The readings are hard. I thought it would be an easy class and I was mistaken. The prof is kind and gives students many chances to do work. If I were to take the class again and I might for a higher grade I would take fewer classes at the same time.

I got an easy A in this class. I thought it was easier than high school English. She helps students on their work. The work is pretty easy. The only hard part is the peer reviewed assignments.

Prof. K is very caring she always encourages you to come after class for assistance. She is constantly asking if you have questions&answers them. We are here to learn&she will correct you multiple times in order to make you succeed.The teaching skills are easy to follow&motivated me to go for ENG 112. Overall, she is an ace in your life.

I took this class my first semester back in school after a long break. This class and this prof were perfect for my first semester. She is very patient. She is very organized. She breaks things down into smaller parts to make things easier. Her grading is clear and fair. I wish all my prof at NOVA were more like her.

Attendance is part of the grade through reflections. Easy 4 papers graded by a clear rubric. There are also extra credit options. Anyone that cares about college will get an easy A.

She was an overall amazing teacher. She respects that you have a life. She makes it possible that you can get all your work done in class. She can have a bit of an attitude, but just do your work, dont be on your phone, put it away, actively participate in class and show up to class and you will be on her good side!

Professor K is a great teacher. If you are not good at English take her. She gives you very clear view of what's coming up. Also, come on time Please she don't like late students. Finaily, she is always there to help u. I will say take her if u are not good at English.

Your work is composed of 5 journals 3 papers and 2 reflections. Lectures are easier than you think . I can't recommend her enough .

The pop quizzes were the hardest in this class. You would have to have zero motivation not to get a good grade in this class.

This professor was one of the most influential professors in my life. She is extremely helpful and puts so much effort into the class. Her teaching style is remarkable, and she has a fantastic sense of humour that makes learning enjoyable. Work isn't hard if you put effort into it.

I failed this class the first time. She kept calling me and I came back to college to try college one more time. I passed all my classes and this class the 2nd semester. She really cares about students.

Professor K is awesome. she respects all of her students, if they need to leave for emergency she allows you to go. She grades with honesty. Pro K Does not give a large amount homework, its reasonable.

I took this class as a hybrid online and it was great. Some of the content is boring and repeated from high school but prof does her best to move the class through the content. She does give students many chances for good grades. I wish she taught 112. I want to take that with her also.

This class has journals and papers. She does offer extra credit. She meets with students for conferences many times during the semester.She stays after class to answer student questions but sometimes she just shows you what she wrote on Canvas so you can read it yourself later and moves onto the next student quickly.

I left this class ready for writing and reading in college. I thought about 80% of it was review from high school.

Easily one of the best English professors at NOVA. Follow rubrics and directions and you'll do great, most of the essay subjects are very open ended and encourage you to be creative and unconventional. She gives great feedback.
