Fantastic teacher! She is very sweet and is clear on assignments/examines. She is there for you and adjusts the tests for the class so that everyone can get a good grade. Make sure you turn in assignments on time and study for the tests/quizzes. I'm glad she was my first professor and I hope I can take her again as soon as possible.

This professor is the best! She made this class fun with games and created a very nice atmosphere. Her tests are easy and give out a study guide. Her lectures are clear and she is very knowledgeable. there is a total of 3exams, 3papers and 4 or 5 quizzes. Everyone in my class loved her. would take her again!

Prof. Livesey is GREAT! she makes you think in the class and gives you the opportunity to get involved during lectures. All quizes are open book and there are 3 exams and 4 papers. It's a lot of work but if you want to learn and apply yourself this is the class to take. If you want an easy A, you should not take this class .

This professor is a relatively easy A while still having her students learn. Sometimes the tests can be a tad difficult, but nothing a little bit of studying can't solve. Pros: Allows laptops, is flexible on what kind of questions go on the test(Multiple choice, short answer etc) Cons: Sometimes the lectures go off topic, isn't good at biology.

She is sweet and she knows her material. She is very much respected by students. Her quizzes are online, which mean they are open note. If you actually listen and write down everything she says or has in her powerpoint (which may be a lot), you'll do fine on the exams. Very chilll class

I'm terrible at the Research part of Psych and was dreading taking 211, but Prof Livesey is a sweetie! Her assignments and tests are hard but not impossible, she definitely tries to make sure you're prepared. Gives good real life examples of studies and we have a good time in her lectures which always generate great discussions! WOULD TAKE AGAIN 3

I took PSY 201 for my elective with her and so far she was a nice professor. There are 3 exams plus a final exam. It's all multiple choice and the last few are short answers. There are also 2 papers that needed to be done. Psychology was not that hard assuming that I've taken BIO 102 which relates to this class.

The most woderful professor I had this semester. Always willing to help her students succeed in class. On the exams, there are 2/3 multiple choice questions and some short answers. She will give you some points if you wrote something down on the short answers rather than writing nothing down. If you don't understand something, ask questions!! :)

Her class is a real breath of fresh air, she tells stories that relate to the material and is overall just a really nice professor to have. I looked forward to her class even though it was early. She gives out a study guide that basically has everything on the test and gives out extra credit. She uploads the powerpoints that she goes through in class, but be sure to take notes.

Accommodates every student. Homework due every class, it takes less than 30 mins to complete. Allowed cheat sheets on tests. You're allowed to drop the lowest test grade. Gives a lot of extra credit.

I took an 8 week summer class with her and loved it! Class was always interesting and online quizzes each week were open note. I'm really bad at participating in class and I even missed two classes but I still got an A. Read the textbook and listen in class and you'll do fine, especially since she drops your two worst quiz grades.

Professor Livesey genuinely cares about the success of her students. She gives a lot of extra credit and will even curve exams if the majority of the class gets below a C. She will make sure you don't fail. Just pay attention to her lectures and do the practice quizzes and you'll be guaranteed to pass.

I took this class over the summer and I was uneasy because Im not the best at math but she made it so easy to understand! She continuously breaks down the problem until you understand how its solved! The study guides and homework really do prepare you for the tests so do them! It was fast paced but it was manageable. She is amazing take her!!!

ONE OF THE BEST PROFESSORS AT NOVA! The study guide was completely clear and understandable. If you did the study guide you received extra credit points and it really helps on the test. She emails back quickly which is great. She wants students involved in class. 2 easy papers are due and she gives you plenty of time to complete them. She's great.

She is the best Psy teacher. 3 test in total. took her in summer she makes sure you are prepare for every test. Gives extra credit. Teaches all the material. You kind of have to be in class to learn how to solve the problems. If you are late on an assignment she gives you time.

You work on a large research project (that you get to design!) the whole semester. You get a handful of online quizzes to take that are easy. Fun and interesting class. It might be better to take PSY 213 beforehand though.

Professor Livesey is the best! She is really understanding and is open to out suggestions. She responds to emails very quickly and you have opportunities for extra credit. Do her study guides and quizzes, most of that material is on the exams. I only used the book for the study guide. An optional final if you did well on the three previous exams.

I had Dr. Livesey for both PSY 211 and 213. In both classes she has been very considerate and patient. She explains topics clearly. For 211, the assignments all build toward the final project (plus three tests). In 213, there is weekly homework that helps prepare you for the tests. Great professor!

Dr. Livesey is amazing! She's very invested in her students and is always willing to help. I struggle with math but just through her lectures and homework, I didn't even need extra help. She gives partial credit for showing your work and also has so many opportunities for extra credit. Definitely recommend!

Professor Livesey is the best professor ever! She is very nice! Her class is not hard but you have to catch up on work! All the test are straightforward and timed. She provides study guides but they don't really help a lot. I recommend watching her lecture videos for each chapter! That helps so much and I passed all my test with all the exams.

The absolute best professor. I have not seen anyone explain the class material in such simple way as she does. I am quite bad at math, but she made all material understanding and broken down. Provides many examples, ansewers all questions and is the sweetest person overall! Make sure to attend classes, do your homework, do the study guides.

You will not regret taking any of her courses, I took two of her classes in one semester. She explained the material well and in case you still don't understand she is available during her office hours to help. She provides study guides to prepare you for tests and TRUST ME if you do them you will do significantly better on tests! Take her class!!

Open note quizzes and exams, HW grades based on effort, so at least try and she'll give feedback. 4 exams and 1 final, but if you do well on the 4 exams, you don't have to take the final and it will be dropped (drops lowest grade). Had extra study sessions to go over the material. Take good notes and write example problems to help you.

Dr. Livesey is an incredible professor for anyone who is afraid of the subject of statistics. I have never liked math at all, but her statistics class was my favorite subject. Exams are open note and very easy to figure out if you've done the homework and in-class problem solving as well. She truly walks through all the steps!

TAKE HER! She goes over HW in class and breaks it down. HW is graded on effort so you still get 10/10 for trying if it's wrong. Exams are open note. 5 exams including optional final but lowest grade gets dropped. So much extra credit! NOVA is lucky to have a professor like her who cares about students. There are 3 modules, each has 4 quizzes and one exam and an optional final. There is also one paper, but it is very easy, and she is a nice grader. The course requires a textbook but she doesnt really use it. The only thing that I was not a fan of was how the powerpoints didnt include all of the info needed for exams/quizzes. lots of extra credit!

Her lectures are on video that you watch at home and then in class, you review the lecture from the video. She is very understanding and super nice! Don't know why people are rating 1s because she is the nicest person in the world and her work is easy. The only way you can find it hard is if you don't go to class or watch the lecture videos.

Dr. Livesey is actually one of the best professors I have ever had. Such a compassionate and prepared teacher and she was able to make content that at first looked daunting make complete sense during Zoom lectures. Our online exams were open note (but don't get excited, open note exams can be harder for some) and there was lots of extra credit.

Very specific in her grading but still very fair. Her assignments were all building up to a final research paper, while providing amazing feedback and extra help. Amazing professor, would definitely take again!

I was scared going into psych 210, but Prof Livesey helped me through it the entire way and made sure I was on track to get an A. Although it can be hard sometimes in class, She explained every homework the next day we had class and made sure no one was confused. The tests were all open note which made it easy to get a good grade. Please take her!

All of the work will be digital and using data computation software, but she explains the content really well! She's particular in her grading but is always looking out for students and eager to help. Once you understand what she's looking for, the assignments are very easy. The tests were open-note. Also, make sure to get your work in on time!
